Second for Orks get more support than any other xenos race and shouldnt get anything
Brody Rivera
When will the daemon codex drop you reckon? I'm just in it for the juicy lore retcon/mistakes/carnac fluff.
James Walker
Suddenly everyone wants Custodes!
Isaac Allen
Not me.
My "elite" army is termie-heavy Death Guard.
Parker Hughes
just finished (mostly) painting my first model, how'd i do lads? i forgot to buy my edge highlight paint today so i have to wait til tomorrow to finish him.
Liam Reyes
No that's all in your head.
Jayden Smith
Why can't we all get things fellow not-boring-human player
Austin Cox
How does this look in terms of executing a red?
Its obviously not mine but GWs idea. Not sure though, the dark red being contrasted with orange doesn't make much sense.
What sort of fabric effect are they going with?
Dylan Martinez
question to those who know of the new CD codex ... are a pair of brimstone horrors count as two for squad size, or the pair still counts as 1 for the 10-30 squad size????
Caleb Nelson
THIN YOUR FINGERNAIL PAINTS
Jacob Brown
I've wanted Custodes since before they had models and Black Templars were new, I'm just enjoying myself at this point.
Reminder that curry is the heart and soul of any good /40kg/ goer
Parker Powell
To be fair three months ago everyone wanted Death Guard. This is the norm. New fancy thing comes out and every fills their pants. A few months later the novelty wears off and they go back to their main army.
Jayden Rivera
Iz Gud!
Josiah Ross
It looks like light catching on red from table distance. For added detail I like to do Squig orange and then fire dragon even lighter.
Aaron Williams
How likely are we to get rules for an HQ on one of those bikes? > I want a golden biker gang in space
Ryder Fisher
Should I paint my Marines red or silver?
Leo Wilson
The bright orange cranks up the contrast and makes the highlights pop more when you aren't super zoomed in on it. hold the mini at arm's length and it just looks like a really bright red.
I've always wanted to play Custodes so it's nice for me. And if I want to get back into 40K, it'll be nice to have a super small army that will only shatter my financial spine once.
Josiah Garcia
Looks more fiery than clothy.
Gavin Brown
Does the rest of this comic exist? or is it just one frame?
Carter Anderson
Mid-low probability, apparently they come in packs of 3 so you might be able to make one look like it as well if they offer the option
Owen Edwards
> Lone Fire Warrior with some Paint Pots and enough caffeine to kill a Primarch conquers America
Lucas Butler
It's just a modification of this
Cameron Clark
That's excellent for your first attempt. When you get to edge highlights, I recommend you actually use the side of your brush rather than the tip to make sure you're only getting a thin line on the corners.
Jacob Robinson
>Suddenly
Tons of people have wanted Custodes as an army, they've been stupid popular since 3rd ed and they've gotten a full army because their 30k army is popular as fuck.
Gabriel Ross
question to those who know of the new CD codex ... are a pair of brimstone horrors count as two for squad size, or the pair still counts as 1 for the 10-30 squad size?
Grayson Long
Painting my Purestrains like classic Genestealers. Finished the base coats and will shade things soon.
Added a bit more black than the usual scheme. Good idea?
Jeremiah Gomez
Paint them red AND silver, that'll look good.
Jacob Adams
gowron literally has a clitoral hood on his forehead
Isaac Russell
Looks great for a first model, but it's kinda hard to judge before highlights are done. Biggest improvement you could make is to take proper photos, there's a guide on the community website. Also, clean up your mistakes and probably thin your paints a bit thinner.
Liam Nguyen
Still better than Duras.
Matthew Powell
Really liking how this model is coming together so far
Charles Long
I intend too but what for a primary color? Word Bearerish or Astral Claws with red instead of blue sort of thing.
Samuel Collins
Anyone have that Nurgling compilation picture, showing all the different nurgling models available?
I have some conversion ideas and I need to find the right pussgoblin for the job.
Ayden Howard
Made up for it by being solid fucking gold in every scene he was in
Xavier Perry
question to those who know of the new CD codex ... are a pair of brimstone horrors count as two for squad size, or the pair still counts as 1 for the 10-30 squad size?
Joseph Martinez
is this supposed to be a parody like ALL OF THE DAY BRO cause i'm genuinely laughing
Hunter Morris
I always got the feeling Orks would treat wheels the same way they would treat Dakka
> IF IZ GOT MOAR WHEELYS, IT GOEZ FASTER
Kevin Diaz
>badyear
very nice
Hudson King
Could anyone provide a clean photo comparison of a Plagueburst Crawler next to any Rhino chassis vehicle? Trying to determine how much larger the Crawler is for a conversion.
> Mate, don't tell me there's a giant Canoptek Wraith right behind me > There is a giant Canoptek Wraith right behind you > I asked you not to tell me that
Christopher Cruz
Can the avatar use daemon codex strategems?
Like legit if things like mortarion can he can.
Carson Stewart
Not a chaos daemon, is it now
Joshua Mitchell
Because light makes things oranger than red like how shadow actually is bluer. That and pink looks fleshy as a highlight.
Lincoln Morales
Which Avatar are you talking about? Khaine? Ynnead? Aang? Korra?
You better not be talking about Korra
Andrew Kelly
>Uh-oh >Don't tell me: we're about to be attacked by gigantic mechaspiders >Yep. >Skeletons wielding lazer guns behind them? >Most likely.
>Bring it on.
Owen Cook
when did you start playing tg?
>a few months before 4th ed ended
Nathan Miller
>All these people wanting Custodes, and rumors point to them being a really good and fun elite army >meanwhile as a GK player
Mason Harris
Yeah but he's more of a daemon than fucking Morty.
Does it also specify chaos daemon?
Henry Carter
No because it's different and he's not able to be joined in a daemons army in terms of faction.
Evan White
>korra trash avatar desu
Eli Fisher
Not the blue one.the one that looks like he was fingering a sister infected by the red tide.
Jacob Thomas
But why
Juan Hall
What are his faction keywords user? Can he join Chaos Daemons in some way?
Josiah Kelly
>blue one the James Cameron one?
Cameron Foster
Because it doesn't share a faction keyword with them
William Allen
Waaaaay back around when 3E launched. I was playing back when Necrons and Tau burst onto the scene and nids still had the Rogue Trader carnifex as their model choice. I played from 3-4E, mostly playing my shitty little guard army but haven't played much since. Always consider coming back, but the rules aren't that great compared to the other games I play and it's just so fucking expensive. My guard are mostly dispersed and I might have a few shitty vehicles (and a baneblade) laying around but other than that and a handful of new minis I got to paint I don't have much of a collection any more.
Mason Richardson
Early/Mid 2014. Three armies later here we are.
Owen Hernandez
I've been in the hobby long enough to own the 3rd ed rulebook, but I didn't actually play a game until last year And that was just Kill Team, haven't played a full scale game of 40k to this day
Adrian Garcia
>Once per game, after a model in a Devastator Squad that is accompanied by an Armorium Cherub has fired, the Armorium Cherub can reload that model’s weapons. When it does so, remove the Armorium Cherub and that model can immediately shoot again.
Does this mean I have to use the Cherub right after the unit has fired or can I use this later in the turn even after other units have fired? It says you have to use it after immediately after the unit has fired, but it does say that when you do it, the model has to fire immediately.
Leo Allen
Thats almost exactly my T(')au paint scheme. You executed it better, well done.
Alexander Bennett
Just finished a game against Blood Angels. Got tabled Turn 4. Ill do a batrep later after I get home. For now enjoy a picture of the dead near the end of the game.
Did anybody else play games lately? Any hobby progress?
Henry Phillips
I'd interpret that to be using up the Cherub as soon as the unit fires and then immediately shooting whatever gun you chose one more time.
Jose Peterson
Ork soup based on gorkamorka when? >digganobs >goblin army >kustom vehicles >titanic ork vehicles that count as terrain for movement on top of them
Christian James
>It says you have to use it after the unit has fired Typo. Sorry.
Tyler Scott
yeah the one that everyone forgot about but pretended was really good.
Ryan Wood
Where do I start to look at starting an army?
Seems intimidating in terms of putting together an army list that isn't ass.
Robert Stewart
> Not using Armageddon rules and converting your own Digganobz
Caleb Carter
wow I thought you were just spit balling an idea that you thought of when looking at grots.
Eli Young
...
Nathaniel Walker
Its very obvious that you use it right after the unit has fired so you cant sit on it for the rest of the shooting phase
Anthony Morales
start collecting is typically decent.
what you normally want is some generic troops a transport and an hq. Then you build from there.
and when you say starting do you already have an army in mind?
Blake Campbell
>Books start coming out about Custodes stopping hide and seek in the palace >Books about Custodes need to go do stuff >GKs Codex coming out early, being farted out early more like it.
Writing was on the wall sadly, GK. People calling a Custodes Codex were the ones reading what BL was hinting.
Jordan Sanchez
I played as Blood Angels and almost got tabled by turn three. Had to split army into three blobs and the wrong blob got to start. Everything else walked on including three sets of Devs and two tanks. Shit sucked.
Leo Scott
is that a guy with a whistle around his neck, or a guy with a really big head jacking off a detachable penis?
Wyatt Turner
What does the red hat man even portray
Isaac Barnes
Depends on the army. If you're JUST getting into the hobby, it's hard to wrong with a Start Collecting box or 2. While the units inside of them might not be 100% auto-takes, they're by far the cheapest bundles available to you and so a cost-effective way to get into the hobby. Death Guard/Primaris being exceptions because they have the starter box.
But mostly don't be like "I NEED A LIST TO BUY MY WAY TO." Have some guidance but mostly start building up a collection. You'll want an HQ, two troops, and an elite and heavy support. From there it's mostly up to you and the force you're playing.
Ethan Edwards
Barely played. But I started collecting and getting into the hobby last year. A bit before 8th edition was announced. So I'm rather new. Zero marines though.
Tyler Clark
...
Benjamin Turner
Start Collecting boxes are a good place to start Start small, don't buy a 2000 point army until your familiar with the ins and outs of the game, experience and time, as well as some reading will get you there Start at 500, don't worry too much about making it the most minmaxed list, you're not playing in tourneys, others at your FLGS, provided they aren't utter dicks, should go easy on you untill you've picked up the skills you need
Michael Wood
Not Space Marines.
Either Eldar, Chaos, or Orks.
Jacob Reyes
i saw it only once and i was on shrooms
it was kinda wild all ik is that i want to subjugate natives americans again
Christopher Reyes
only played a week ago but I've got progress on a dude I've been spending way too much time painting.
I spend more time thinking about what colors I'll paint them than painting them I swear. and it takes me like 2 minutes to paint vs the 30 I spend thinking.
Lincoln Bell
right?
its weird how much the humans were in the right, and some hippy scientists were in the wrong.
Austin Sanchez
Did you pick what you want to collect yet? If so, what is it?
Eldar, SC box(es) is pretty good. Starting Orks is a little more laborious. Chaos highly depends on what flavour.
Carter Myers
>pinky ring user, please stop
Ryan Lewis
>good >elite pick one and only one in 8th edition. I don't care if every marine has a 2+, 4++ and 5+++FnP, 20 models still means you are gonna get fucked hard by any hordes in any game.
Jose Morgan
I actually had an idea floating around in my head for a skirmish army Was thinking of using Ork rules and converting the Goliath gang with Orky shit for the units I need
Wyatt Russell
Not using the "fools, behold" screengrab.
One job.
Brayden Clark
Digganobz!
Dylan Young
well its the year of the xeno, eldar already got their codex so you'll get some good advice as to what to get... BUT you should actually get what you like to look at most.
Chaos is like the step child to space marines and gets a shit ton of love from GW, they've got like two factions and mini factions and a bunch of allies all getting a bunch of updates. (don't know if buying the unupdated stuff is a great idea atm).
Orks are orks. kind of a shit starting army and they're never updated, they're also withou a codex so you'll do poorly and there will be some big changes to the army. But orks are very simple and actually a lot of fun to play.
I'd recommend eldar or chaos. and orks as maybe a secondary.
just remember that this is the most important parts of the armies: Painting them> their aesthetics> the lore > playing them
Looks are the most important.
Jose Morales
red base on black rim looks surprisingly good
Owen Harris
> Those power squats just how big are these guys anyway?
Joseph Roberts
You can use it whenever you want. Immediately is only referring to the Cherub’s removal.
Adam Perez
squats are pretty short
those guys look like 28mm
Hudson Carter
I'm pretty sure everyone wanted the shiniest motherfuckers to ever be ever since they got their first artwork few can resist the call of the G O L D E N B O Y S
Nathaniel Brooks
question to those who know of the new CD codex ... are a pair of brimstone horrors count as two for squad size, or the pair still counts as 1 for the 10-30 squad size?
