Is there even a way to deafet that plot device?

Is there even a way to deafet that plot device?

>go back in time
>prevent stellar formation
>nothing in the universe but uniform clouds of hydrogen

Short: No, cause grimdark.

Slightly longer: Warhams theme is lost glory and power that will never come back, because the failures were made in the beginning never to be corrected. Pro tip: The failures I mean are already made in the War in Heaven so yeah shit is fucked.

Malal
More Pylons
Making sure the first Chainsword wielder successfully offs Belakor
Creation of Independant Daemon Prince via Malaian parasite hax
Studying enslavers to figure out where they fuck off too with prey
Put Tau genes in everyone and make everyone bug people.
Kill the Elves and let mankinds fuck ups make Slaanesh.

Doesn't actually stop them. They're acausal and timeless now. Slaanesh was present at the begining and ends of the universe, and would have come into existence with or without the Eldar. Same goes for wiping out all sentient life, or even the materium in general. It's been stated that that's even one of their goals, to consume the materium so they can play with it forever.

AoS retconned slaanesh, so chaos is not invincible

1: Throw as many Orks as possible in chaos' general direction.
2: Create as many Geenlootas as possible to contact the Tyranids.
3: ???
4: Profit!

I seem to remember back in the day the Chaos Gods could "starve," and that's why Chaos could not fully win in 40k. The Imperial Truth was also causing them to starve, and its why they turned Horus. But I'm 90% sure that's all been retconned.

By creating stronger gods of order through immense act of faith.

In AoS, yes. Still basically omnipotent in 40k

Chaos is a reflection of the nature of humanity.

Well, it's more that it's a reflection of all the emotions of every living being in the galaxy, but we're told that humans are far and away the most common race, outside of Orks.

So, working with this, can you destroy Chaos? No, because it's powered by the emotions that all living creatures possess.

However, you can change Chaos. Imagine if the entire Imperium become far more civil, down to their very base emotions. If they no longer regarded their enemies with hatred, and approached war civilly and with grace, how would the nature of Khorne change?

If they no longer sought to scheme against one another, and instead put their desire for change towards nothing but positive goals, how would Tzneech change?

That's how you defeat Chaos.

Remember that you're actually just roleplaying, stand up, grab the miniature of the BBEG (ugh) off the table, and announce to the Dungeon Master, "I win."

It was never a thing.
In the NuHeresy fluff it was something the Emperor tried, but it never made sense given the cosmology.

Summon the Lords of Law.
Bring down the End of the Age.
Ring in a new age where Law is more dominant.

Simple though not easy.

The Lords of Law become ascendant and now want to sterilize all of existence into perpetual stasis. What do?

Summon the Original Insect. If you're going to call upon the Powers Of Law boy, you have to go all in, with no regards to your own sanity or the continued survival of the Multiverse.

Doesn't seem like a very good solution.

So the super tyranid that controls everything

Law is not about stillness - law is all about things reaching the right conclusions. Wrongdoings are punished and corrected. Sun raises on the East and sets on the West, winters come after falls.

Problem is Chaos runs off human nature and 40k's big message is that Human Nature is a constant. Nurgle is not just humanities despair and apathy he is the ever present Fear of Death that is not something you can remove from people, Similarly Tzeentch is the hope that the future will bring about positive change and having the ambition to try to make that change a reality, Khorne is the inborn need to appear and be strong in order to defend what you believe in and defeat those that appose you, and then Slaanesh is the innocent desire to be happy.

These are all the Gods are their most primal form but everything they are branches from this.
