24 hour RPG

Starting one of these thread because thy're fun, and occasionally productive.

Roll 3d500, and then write an tabletop off of the themes you got within 24 hours (or longer, if the thread is still up in 24 hours).

May inspiration and productivity be with you, my fellows.

Rolled 9, 140, 79 = 228 (3d500)

>no replies in 1 hour
Weird, those are usually quite popular even if most people don't follow through.

Let's see what's up.

Rolled 344, 264, 100 = 708 (3d500)

Sure, i'll bite.

>Prison, Alternate Universe, the 50's
So, a prison escape in an alternate universe 50's.
Sounds great.

If you don't set it in Colditz in a world where the Nazis won, you're an absolute fool

Rolled 35, 439, 60 = 534 (3d500)

I'll try. The last time I participated it was pretty fun,

>Murder, Maids, Gangsters
Not that bad. I think of a Hitman-esque game. Maids, butlers or other serving personnel have to silently assassinate a notable gangster in the hotel they're working in.

Rolled 171, 328, 69 = 568 (3d500)

Probably not gonna have time today but fuck it

>Pitchforks, Amnesia, and Wrestling
well this sounds dangerous

Rolled 72, 117, 144 = 333 (3d500)

Rolling

Rolled 313, 163, 80 = 556 (3d500)

Southeast US, Redemption, Russia
I'll just reroll

Rolled 361, 15, 136 = 512 (3d500)

Glad to see another one of these threads. I'll post the game I made for last thread and then roll another one.

>Ham Radios, Dreams, Tools
...Huh. My first thought is something kind of like Oxenfree meets Psychonauts meets The Evil Within 2? Some kind of psyche repair service traveling through dreams, locking onto errant broadcasts from inside the dream to find out what's causing them.

Alternatively, go full "Don't touch that dial" and just make PT: the RPG.

Delivering. Mechanics are somewhat a Blades in the Dark rip-off, but I think it fits fine.
I'm glad about the result. I would like to try it.

Let's see what we can get.

Rolled 17, 177, 387 = 581 (3d500)

Blimey. Rolling again.

Rolled 209, 273, 240 = 722 (3d500)

>Baloons, E-mail, Clouds
I don't think I can come up with anything interesting. Reroll.

>The 60s, Central America, Advertisements
Sounds nice.

Rolled 24, 432, 325 = 781 (3d500)

going for it, i got nothing better to do

Rolled 288, 455, 76 = 819 (3d500)

Less do dis.

>Parasites
>Tactical Shooting
>Noir

Workable. Let's see if I can get the juices flowing.

Rolled 3, 199, 304 = 506 (3d500)

Rolled 55, 73, 27 = 155 (3d500)

> cards
> autumn
> lizards

Interesting, but I dont want to make cardgame. Rerolling

How do we always end up with skeletons

Because skeletons are (un)life.

I like it! It's pretty bare-bones, but its the kind of game I think would be definitely fun to run as some one-offs, maybe during a murder mystery movie night. If I had any particular downsides of it, I'd say expand the tables inside to allow for even more variety in the type of game.

Rolled 320, 499, 104 = 923 (3d500)

Rall

dice+3d500

...

Rolled 276, 108, 188 = 572 (3d500)

Never done this, let's try something new?

Rolled 218, 273, 210 = 701 (3d500)

Russian spy defecting to the US seeking redemption.

Its so easy.

Or a heretics from czarist Russia seeking redemption in the eyes of the Orthodoxy by traveling on a quest to find the lost cities of gold fabled to be hidden in the Floridian peninsula. Little do they know that the unkillable Grigori Rasputin seeks to undermine them and force them to damn themselves for all eternity.

Just saying, you can do a lot with those concepts.

168, 187, 266

Cyberpunk, Dichotomy, Jewelry

Using "high tech" in pursuit of "low life" thefts.

I'm good at this.

Videodrom but radios. Watch the movie if you haven't.

Rolled 500 (1d500)

>Babies
>The Middle East
>Civil War
Okay... the last two are totally valid, but the-- OOOOOHHH WAIT A MINUTE. Fucking kill me, I have an idea.

CHECK IT OUT: So there's this desert land, yeah? And there's this government, they're trying to put down some rebels, who've set up a real nice other nation on the other half of the place, and it's gonna be a real long war, because ain't nobody got firearms, but we got explosions and healing magic, and that's cool and shit. Also, when the two human souls intermingle (i.e., two people confess their love for each other, or some shit like that, I'm talking about Fire Emblem-level of S-Support bullshit), this causes a schism in space-time and shit to be created, and spit out a kid that shares powers from both the mother and father.

Initially, Level 1 characters have a stat total of 6 or some shit, split between Tough, Cool, and Cute. Why it's Cute, and not Sexy, don't fuckin' ask me, I don't even know. Anyway, assign each to a stat: Attack, Defense, and Magic. They'll be used for rolls of that type. Choose a class to be: Mage, Fighter, something else, Iunno, Ranger?

It's gonna be like, iunno, roll a 2d6, add the relevant stat and shit, and it's gonna have ridiculous amounts of bonuses, because you're gonna stack stats like it's nobody's business.

Something something marriage, something something love system, whatever. Kids not only go through the Level 1 process again, but also gain half of the two highest stats from their parents. Then, they gain a level in each of their parent's class, thus enabling them to take even better classes.

I'll try and reroll the first one, just to see what better I'll get.

Idea sounds great mate

Rolled 71, 136, 90 = 297 (3d500)

Lets do it

Rolled 291, 240, 48 = 579 (3d500)

Rolling and reposting an older one I made.

Rerolling Entropy. I like the other two, but not that.

Rolled 269, 356, 475 = 1100 (3d500)

Rolled 175 (1d500)

Business, Laboratory, and Exploration?

Rerolling business.

Courage, exploration, and exploration.

I like where this is going, time for the lab test animals to make their daring escape.

Rolled 105, 408, 345 = 858 (3d500)

Rolled 265, 295, 69 = 629 (3d500)

The fuck am I supposed to do with double mixed martial arts?

Dragon Ball with hammers.

Rolled 275, 186, 208 = 669 (3d500)

Alright, let's see

>275: Heaven
>186: Snow
>208: Economy

>when Hell freezes, effectively becoming an unavailable source of eternal punishment, Heaven reformed into corporate management for its new entries to manage the new influx of souls to be punished alongside those worthy of entering through the pearly gates
>while Neo Heaven is going through these reforms, the same event that caused Hell to freeze starts to appear once again, creeping into the endless plains beyond Heaven's walls and endangering the souls awaiting judgement

i can see it

What do I do with cats, cloning, and paranoia? Paranoia and cloning is pretty straight forward, but cats?

>Scientist begin testing large-scale cloning on simple housecats
>Everything is going fine first of all, but slowly heightened aggression is noticed in the clones
>The break out and begin attacking everyone in sight
>You play a scientist/security/whoever else trying to escape the cloning facility, while avoiding the cats that have figured out their way everywhere around the building

Thank you user you're the best. This is my first time trying to do this.

>"The cats, the cats in the walls!"

Rolled 242, 33, 493 = 768 (3d500)

Yeah, alright.

>dice, airships, blacking out
So a high altitude festival of risky moves and oxygen deprivation on rickety-ass ships. Sounds workable.

oi

noko+dice+3d500

Alright, finished it with a couple hours to spare! I like this one better than The Storm I did for last thread. The end result basically became "Inception meets Psychonauts meets The Evil Within 2.", which I think could be pretty fun.

Looks pretty good.
Are dreams linear? Can sections of the dream branch?

Ugh, knew I forgot something in the DM's section. Dreams can branch, but I wanted to leave it as an option for the DM to decide upon starting the game, as well as layering dreams or interconnecting two separate dreams.

If you do want to branch sections though, you just have to clearly add an extra entrance/exit to it that goes around to the back side.

Rolled 18, 223, 14 = 255 (3d500)

I'll sate my curiosity. Nothing will come of it, but still

dice+3d500
I'm not gonna do it in a day tho

Rolled 14, 299, 298 = 611 (3d500)

drunk

18: Hot Blood
223: Plants
14: Mediterranean Europe

Hmm, what do we have. Hot Blood. So high octane action, people who are quickly insulted, ect. A setting around a sea and plants.

>Grecian dryads face off against the Turkish tryants who insulted their foliage.

Different plants give different abilities.
Maybe.. I'll think about it

Rolled 94, 47, 230 = 371 (3d500)

Rolled 46, 46, 419 = 511 (3d500)

Was really hoping you were gonna go with something about getting uploaded into a game to fight a computer virus (not reason disease has to be biological)

Interesting nonetheless

Rolled 104, 67, 209 = 380 (3d500)

>solo adventure, nuclear weapons, government
I'll be back in 24 hours, I guess

lets see :)

Rolled 369, 133, 314 = 816 (3d500)

oops fuck

Holy shit this is really fun >_>

Are we good to post ones from previous challenges?

Wow, this is really interesting. Reminds me of a short story I read once.

Yeah sure, go ahead. I already posted mine when I rolled for the new one.

Glad you're interested! What was the story?

Rolled 183, 176, 340 = 699 (3d500)

I hardly have time for this but wheee~!

Rolled 197, 126, 130 = 453 (3d500)

Rollin'!

Hard to remember what it was called, but it was about this woman who went into a coma patient's mind to wake them back up. Pretty decent.

Rolled 140, 444, 40 = 624 (3d500)

*drumroll*

there's always time for hastily homebrewing shit together in between other stuff!

Roll+3d500

Sure why not.

dice+5d100

Let me introduce my homebrew.

Rolled 353, 417, 128 = 898 (3d500)
