Nowadays more people watch other people play than play a game themselves. And the people who both extensively watch shows about a game, and plays that game with a decent frequency are easily outnumbered by the rest who wouldn't change how the meta will work out.

Yes. The shop I play it usually plays dadrock and white people rap. When I play at my friends house he plays music. He's got a great taste and it varies heavily in genre and mood. Lastly I play at a coffeeshop with some friends and people in my friends fb page and they play background music.

I generally think alters a dumb and most people don't have an eye for what works as an alter.

No, you have to use Homeward Path before they cast the spell. The player who controlled the Chimera when the spell was cast will get the trigger, but they'll only be able to exchange it if they still control the Chimera when the trigger resolves.

You can't respond to a player activating mana abilities.

Really you just have to use the chimera to steal something, and then grab it back with the Path. There isn't really anyway to let other people keep it until a spell you want comes up.

Sound pretty good. Still, I really like enchantments and Hellbent, so it works in my favor. I really was thirsty for suitable discard commander in BR, and Mogis was the best choice, but not anymore.

OP question - no to music. When I play in store it's late so there's usually loud as fuck maintenance workers doing shit, and when I play at home it's usually in silence. We might have the tv or music on occasionally but it's rare.
