Greetings Anons! It's time for a round of "Maybe Author will put your build into the finished CYOA as a companion"

The Scenario: You have been selected to take a cryo-sleep trip to colonize an earthlike exoplanet. While you sleep, your body will be upgraded, letting you select powers as per Pic Related (only, you know, with lore and so on).

You will be one of about 4000 colonist.
There will be no other humans for light years around.
Your destination planet has native biota.
Shit may hit the fan.

I want to see what people actually build for their colonists. I can speculate a good deal and will be writing some Companion Colonists myself, but if anyone can give me both an interesting build, an interesting character, and ideally a portrait to use, they may well get included in the final piece.

Italics here. I'm still working on The Magi Case, but in the mean time which OC CYOA would you rather have released?
1. Witches n' Inquisitions, a fantasy-military CYOA set in an alternate-fantasy 1910-1920s about building your own officer or witch to a nation's military.
2. Strange Journey, a science-fantasy CYOA focused on becoming an explorer who is suppose to recover lost technology and magic in a post-war world.
3. Sonic the Hedgehog

Here's what I'm thinking, the 4000 colonists are going to NEED to work together. If everyone is offered these options, most are going to spring for the uber powers, then inevitably come into conflict trying to be the Big Dick of Mars. So, I'm going to lay low, try to survive, and use those pheromones to keep myself in people's good graces. The mistake most will make, I think, is forgetting that social interaction is key in such a small society. I don't plan to seed fear and paranoia, but if I see some motherfucker ready to go full Lord of the Flies, we need to put him down fast.

Blocking telepathy is a must, in my opinion, but it will also paint a target on your back when Big Dick is sizing up the competition. The alternative is trying to control your thoughts, but that's a tricky proposition. For that reason, I also took quick thinking and creativity. I also cannot be seen as a liability, so I took less food so that I will not be a drain on resources.

I'm in two minds about extending my life. If you don't play your cards right during the initial power struggles, you'll never get to enjoy it. However, if you come out on top you'll likely have invested your points elsewhere and not have long to enjoy being Big Dick.

As this is myself selected, I will assume my professional expertise and education will carry over, so I can also make myself useful in that way.

I watched Survivor during my formative years, give me a break. I'll be interested to see how the autists handle this scenario, I'm sure they'll see something hear that I'm not

Did you want a first-person character piece or something?

Do you have anything special planned for the * powers? Maybe the captain of the ship could be some sort of power god with the ability to manifest them in people for his/her bidding.
Otherwise, some crime lord who takes the ability to steal and trade the * powers for social gain could be a good character.

2 sounds great, but I wouldn't mind 1.

Avoid 3, the world doesn't need the autism trigger of Sonic+.

Apologies to all two of you who were waiting. Yuri Healing is now updated and three DLC characters have been completed. The last optional component is still under construction but now with a plan in place it shouldn't take too long.

The Magic Shoppe Waifu CYOA is done. I'm keeping it to release later during a dry spell.

PaG won't be out/main focus till The Magi Case is finished.

Night Children isn't bad, user, but it's no Infested Memory. It gives you the True Best Waifu and is super simple. It could possibly be over in even one night! Only downside is how the hell it'll work with the injury transfer. Even if you get massively scaled down versions of the scars from your nightmares, getting RIP N TEAR'd would likely cause you to at least be covered with scratches and bruises and shit the next morning I figure. Plus what kind of torture is it that you clear the nightmare on the first try but still have to wait a year for your bug waifu? That's the true curse right there.

Not in particular, the * powers are the base forms of Psi/Psionics. the 500-point ability and a few others that aren't on the colonist path canonically have the same genesis.

At the start, there's a huge three-point meta: Those those with * powers, those with the 500 point power, and those with neither.
The 500 point power gets better with more available (freely traded or available to steal) * powers - however, the people who spend their points on powers that are neither the 500 point power nor the * powers have the potential to grow even stronger yet... if the person who took the 500 point power lets them.

Therefore, assuming both that and no 'shitty' choices (including 'a radiation burst kills everyone without radiation immunity, no save' but not 'someone must fix the nuclear reactor'), I tentatively choose

I might take a gender-swap option if it were cheap enough I could replace the Veeky Forums power with it and at least one more degree or practice.
In any case, my goal is to make sure the group of survivors doesn't blow each other up by becoming the de facto leader.
To become the leader, I'd find someone else who took the five hundred point power (and, by definition, very little else) and manipulate him into giving me Telepathy and ideally Precognition from either someone who uses them dickishly or someone who would've died.
Then, I use the combination of halo effect + skills + ludicrous mental boosts + a touch of mind control to wrangle everyone else into surviving instead of infighting.
The only people who can threaten my mental superiority are others with telepathy, and even they won't be nearly as strong as me unless they had light speed thought - requiring that they be persuasive enough to convince their own pocket thief to give them it.
This relies a lot on there being a roughly even distribution of powers with no intervening manipulators nor deficits of any particularly useful power, but I trust the law of large numbers.
