Full silver Knight cosplay quality build paladin

Dragoth's Greatsword

Weapon of the primitive paladin Dragoth, unknowing worshiper of the dark goddess Tiamat.

The Dragonborn avenger slew countless beasts and rogues with this lengthy blade, before scavenging their corpses for offerings to his tribes' chieftain.

>Twin Dukes' Charm

Necklace of adamantine fangs, once worn by the twin dukes of the City Below. The teeth glint with ancient ichor.

The twin dukes were two kobolds who delighted in the art of tooth and claw, replacing their teeth with fangs of adamantine as to better devour their numerous foes.

My character got cloned at one point so now there are two of them. It's pretty weird.

>Black Banded Greatsword
Greatsword of the Mad Knight Baskerville

Eaten away by rust and time, this greatsword's ruined blade is a grim reflection of the life cast aside by its former wielder.

Sir Baskerville was known far and wide as the pettiest of blaggards, but what delusional scheme of his was so great as to cause the villain to hurl his own blade into the murky depths?

Morgan, the trusted shotgun.
Like the ex-wife it's named after, Theodore knew Morgan was mean as all hell, but trustworthy and dependable if handled with care. If he'd been more careful back then, he could've kept the real deal...

>Blade of the Wayward Swordsman
Greatsword that belonged to a wandering swordsman who once served the gods, but lost his faith.
Echoes of the warrior's lost faith still stir within the blade and can be called upon in times of need.

>Troubleshooter

Repeatedly modified, upgraded and refurbished by its owner, it's likely that only the mahogany stock, covered in notch marks from its myriad kills, remains of its original conponents.

Ashen Robes
These frayed but well made garments are a symbol of the order of Pyromancers that guard against the daemons of Chaos.

Fire-Pitted Iron Sword
This sword has been set alight far too many times, once Castle-Forged this blade has lost it's strength, but not it's edge

Black-Lacquered Armguards/Pauldrons/Gorget
Simple steel, these plates have been painted black to protect them from the hardships of travel & battle.

The Innocent Blade
>A short, straight blade of the kind once common among Chinese aristocrats. Its shine makes it look like its never drawn blood. Someone has cut "GK" into the hilt with the point of another blade.
The Finisher
>A pistol designed to shoot chemical darts at close range. Its grip has been worn down by rough hands over the years. A set of darts strapped to the barrel are labeled "Catch", "Kill", and "Freakout".
The Ghost Skin
>A suit that uses a set of complex photo-cells to allow the wearer to blend in with its surroundings. It smells of sweat, alcohol, and chemicals. The legs appear to bend backwards. The boots have two toes in the front and one in the back.

>Uzagh'ithi
"A veil of ignorance is in motion
Continued throughout multiple generations
Let me be the one to deliver you from deceit
And back into perfect accordance with the laws of nature!"

A sinister black blade, dripping with malice, and home to an intelligence nigh incomprehensible to even the most astute minds. Whatever that being is, it relies on manipulating its wielders into performing its bidding.

It's literally just Xal'atath.
And yes, those are Dimmu Borgir lyrics.

I like this a lot. Magical items are cool and all, but it's the mundane yet storied relics that get my dick hard.

Cleaver of the Cauldronbreaker: "Its sundering of a sacred cauldron may have caused its master's banishment, but it grants the blade the power to heal its wielder, or even its victims."

Crown of the Cauldronbreaker: "Cast out from the so briefly visited land of his Father, the bandit returned to the land of his mother styling himself a prince with this reshaped scrap of his shameful triumph for a crown."

>Petyr's Rapier
Blade wrought of magically reinforced quartz, one of the signature weapons wielded by House Dufay's wayward son.
Legends and reality are oft vastly different, and Petyr became more keenly aware of this than most.

Does it flash like quartz apparently does when struck?

Singed Flail
>The head of this well-worn flail is unnaturally warm and smells of burning pine. When you swing it above your head, you swear you can hear faint, distant screams.

Shield of Resistance

The once ordinary tower shield of one who refused his fate, it's face is still warm with the spirit of rebellion.

At the end of time, he finally rested having found the truth. It would seem that this rather ordinary looking shield only survived the ordeal by pure chance.

Age Worn Ring

A ring of masterfully crafted silver, holding it in your hand brings on a strange feeling of nostalgia and peace. Slightly increases luck.

Stairway to Heaven

This short blade of unknown origin, possibly associated with the old gods, is impossibly heavy and emits a strange soft hum when drawn. Runes cover the entire blade. Oddly enough, it appears to have never been used.

>Spurred Boots
An fashionable piece of lawyer's attire, affixed with spurs. It seems the spurs were a recent addition, the back of the shoes clearly damaged from frequent pounding. Kicks are slower, but deal damage, and can knock enemies prone under certain conditions.

>Ricerca dell'Anima
An adequetly crafted lance, decorated like a proud, stoic raven with fine engravings. Forged by the one who would eventually wield it, if that weren't clearly evident by its extravagant embellishment, a proud display of his own ego. Does more damage on plunging attacks.

>Deadman's Flute

Well made instrument carved from the femur of a humanoid skeleton and inscribed with demonic runes. Favoured instrument of the bard Smiling Aksel.

What strange craftsman made such a thing, and what twisted artist was willing to play it?

>La Volea

>This ornate pepperbox rifle was clearly well taken care of by its previous owner, showing little serious wear despite its apparent age though powder marks near the rotating action act as a stark reminder of the design's propensity to gangfire.

>'Yo estoy haciendo burla!' has been lovingly engraved along the stock.

>Halberd of the Antlered Knight
Favored weapon of the fabled knight, said to serve the Fairie Queen herself.

Despite its age and the flora that encrusts the weapon, its edge still holds true, sharp enough to cleave through dragon scales.

The Holy Sword Ragenrook

A legendary rapier, housing the soul of a fallen god. Said to bring about the end times, and unerringly fell the enemies of its wielder. Also known as Hexcalimur, The M'Nah Blade, and the Sacred Revenge.

(It is an utterly plain rapier.)

Heavy Greatsword
>Taken from a statue made of volcanic rock, this sword measures at nearly 5 feet long. The metal it is made of is unknown, yet feels warm to the touch. Near the crossguard and strong of the blade, there are small runes etched into the surface, yet they've long since gone dormant.
Ornate Rapier
>This weapon has seen much use, yet its owner has taken meticulous care of it over the years. A basket-hilted rapier that seems to shimmer with frost when swung; a relic from a bygone era of northern-dwelling knights.
Staff of healing
>This staff, lauded by an order of white mages around the Mediterranean isles, is said to have been wielded by one of their greatest members. Being in the same room as it fills one with a sense of humbleness and purpose. It is said that touching it would be enough to imbue one with healing powers similar to that of the original owner, yet this has yet to be tested, since it remains in a locked, ensorcelled box which only allows people to view it.

>Gunderland Broadsword
>An old, well-made broadsword of fine steel, with a bronze hilt inlaid with silver and a worn grip. This blade was used by the Sword-King, Alaric of Gundarland.
>Alaric’s Seax
>A broad longknife with a clipped point, the seax is commonly used by northern barnarian cultures. This one is of Cimmerian make by the markings, but it did not serve it’s first owner as well as it’s second.
>Bossonian Longbow
>A powerful long bow of yew with a mighty pull, as commonly found among the Bossonian people. Most Gundarman do not specialize in archery or ranged combat, but the Sword-King Alaric knew the value of the bow.
>Gundarland Brigandine
>A form of lighter armor of leather reinforced by steel plates rivited to the fabric, commonly found among mercenaries and wanderers. Sword-King Alaric once wore a suit very much like this one during his days as a dog-brother of the White Company.
>Gundarland Shield
>A sturdy round shield of with a steel boss in the center, reinforced by steel banding. Shields of this sort were commonly found in the hands of Gundarland mercenaries found across the Hyborian Kingdoms and beyond.
>Ring of the Sword-King
>A simple ring of solid green jade, otherwise unadorned. The Sword-King Alaric fought against a duel against a champion from Khitai and gained both fame and this ring from the result.

This feels pretty Dark Souls because it name-drops a ton of random shit with zero explanation and you sort of have to guess what it’s about by what’s inferred here.

>Clerical Robes
These faded and bloodstained robes still bear the insignia of the Olasenan church, a blue winding serpent. Their former owner, a priest of a lesser saint, met his end at the filth encrusted blade of a goblin sentry.

Broodmother garb:
One who wore it was called mother of monsters, one who's children came to be rulers of many worlds. None should wear this thing for it is said that it's owner is still around.

Hilt of the Many Blades

A dagger that can the shape of many bladed weapons by running your fingers across the blade. Due to the complex nature of the weapon, the magic in the blades is rather limited.

The dagger has drifted from countless owners of varied backgrounds and naturally rumors started about whether the dagger is cursed or not. But none know the origin of the blade.

Vestments of the Voltaic Scholar
>A short, purple jacket with some flair, but not enough to get in the way. The lining distributes and earths magical attacks to some extent.
>Typically worn with pocketed trousers, and clompy boots, but these are not magical, merely practical.
>Good evasion, little stamina requirement

Thunder Bringer's Flash Glasses
>A pair of goggles, mirrored for practicality and tinted purple for style, worn on the forehead and easily pulled down to protect the eyes when casting or having explosive, flashy spells thrown at you.
>Reduces stagger and stun from spells and items.

Attuned Night Crystal of the Storm
>This small black stone can contain a truly phenomenal amount of mana, and attunes it to force and thunder while it is contained therein.
>Increases scaling of Force elemental spells, including its lightning school, but decreases scaling of all other elemental magic.

Left Gauntlet of Thaddius Volt
>Purple leather articulated glove, inlaid with nightcrystal, which protects the caster's hand from any backlash from their most excessive spells, and further increases their ability to channel incredibly destructive lightning spells.
>Worn originally by Volt himself, it is in his signature style, and who knows how many have worn it, called thunder, and died on the battlefield since.
>Reduces cast time of Force spells, and has significant Int or whatever stat spells scale with here.
>High requirements to wear, acquired by killing the original owner

Tome of the Thaumanarch
>A leatherbound volume detailing the metaphysics and arcanophysics of the world. The diagrams, graphs, equations and scrawlings tell of a Magus going slowly insane as he studies the veil of the great beyond and the insignificance of physical existence. Those who brave its depths come out paler, less caring, and more ready to end life.
>Required reading to cast Entropic spells
>Reduces self-damage from Entropic spells
>Teaches Lesser Reality Rift and Detect Dimensional Passage

That Spanish is wrong. It should say "Estoy haciendo burla", or even just "burla". The rest is redundant.

Yeah, I'm not a native speaker. I was trying to find a translation of the 'I bite my thumb at thee' line from Romeo and Juliet but I couldn't find an official one.

You know, I should probably do some for some of my older characters.

>Black Hand of the Puppeteer King

A single gauntlet made of braided metal, formed into twisting symbols of an arcane nature. Its fingertips end in sharp, glistening claws.

The fell wizard Vahal took his title from the corpse of the Glabrezeu Mal'aqori'r, stringing up its corpse with the ropes of his severed arm.

>Shooting Starlight

A strange inferno pistol with a grip shaped like the wings of a two-headed eagle in flight, and slight scorch marks along the mouth.

"To ride upon a shooting star is to hope for the impossible but demand it to be true."

>Pax Tyrannus
Little more then a six-sided slab of polished obsidian a hundred generations of tyrants have etched their heraldry and tennents into the head this ferocious flail. In motion this weapon exudes an air of malice, and the will to rule

Sovereign
>And into this blade he poured his cruelty, his bitterness, and every fel art he commanded
>A great-sword of primitive make. handle and scabbard are little more then shards of volcanic rock and a curious three-fold crossguard
>The blade growls when drawn. Seven feet of raw iron that spits and seethes as though pulled from the forge
>Forged to dominate and destroy Sovereign's raging voice rises to a dragon's roar when swung and it's terrible flux of power devours metal, magic and meat
>Cursed beyond reason the blade must sleep often- least it's unthinking fury consume the fool who bears it

>Crystal Moon Ring
A forlorn young girl once glimpsed the moon shining brilliantly in the night sky. Its beauty ignited her soul, and she was filled with a burning ambition.
But the flame soon burnt away all that remained of the girl, and her empty vessel became the False Angel.
It is said that the last remnant of her innocent soul persists, sealed inside this ring.
Greatly boosts cup size.

>Giant Slayer's Shield
Throwing shield of the mighty wanderer.

A disc-like shield of freezing iron; the ancestral bulwark of a long line of desert chieftains.

Deep within resides its owner's legacy; his kindness and optimism, his drive to protect those dear to him, nearly forgotten in a war for vengeance.

>Slave Taker's Chains

Worn by the Monk known as Master Of Servants, they were originally used to control and bind him, but now are a mark of off and of his continued loyalty to his former Slave Master even after earning his freedom. Those fleeing slaves who hear the clang and jingle of the chains know their time draws near

I never played any part of "Souls" series, or Bloodborne, except a couple hours of Dark Souls 1. So, I don't get what's going on in this thread. Anyway, gonna try to describe some characters...
> Elven robe
Imbued with elven sorcery, it changes its color and texture, that makes the wearer indistinguishable from environment. Robes like this one were once used by elven rangers to hunt down unfortunate poachers.
> Silverhammer
This old trusted hammer once belongeed to a troll smith named Solvhammer, famous for his skill. He used it to both create sinister swords and armor, and crush heads of his enemies in battle.
> Lyrio's Last Resort
Lyrio the alchemist knew a lot of powerful spells and the secret of everlasting youth. He also knew that everlasting youth means nothing when you are dead, and spells tend to fade away. And that is why this pistol was always at his hand.
> Ruby of Satiety
This medallion is quite fashionable among vampire nobility. While it does not sate its wearer by itself, it helps struggle the thirst and is especially helpful in a long journey in the humans' lands when it's not always possible to feed immediately.

The appearance is from ritualized care and treatment from the warrior whose techniques made his enemies vulnerable to katana's illusions.

>Clairvoyant Eye Orb
A icy blue glass eye, enchanted with magic to let the wearer see through it, even when removed. Typically given to the blind and those with poor eyesight, but this one was used by an unperceptive, fiendish woman. Having been lost, it's evident it does not provide foresight or critical thinking.
But perhaps it works yet.

Weathered Red Cloak
>Once worn by a headless traveler, the fabric is tattered and stained from centuries of use. With virtually no durability, it offers nothing but the hope of finding things long lost.

Ups item discovery?

Isaac's Keenest Rapier

Its first strike carries with it a whirlwind of steel, fire, ice, and thunder, but requires incredible finesse to use properly.

As the Church Inquisitor, Second in Command, and Damage Control of the Church of the Northern Dragon, Isaac preferred to keep his battles short.

(alternate text) Isaac preferred to disarm instead of kill, but not for lack of ability.

>Colorful Length of Cloth
>Though it may have once shown vibrant shades of red, blue, and orange, this long segment of cloth has been weathered by exposure to the sun, time, and the elements. Lengths like these are typically used to make headwraps or turbans by those that wander the limitless sands of the Dune Sea.
>This particular cloth is reminiscent of that worn by a hero from a past generation, whose name fell into disgrace due to cowardice. When her people needed her most, not a trace could be found. The age suggests that it might be the very same cloth, but who can say?
>The cloth is now worn by a young warrior. Perhaps he seeks to reclaim the legacy of the disgraced hero, or to liberate her name from its accursed state. Then again, maybe the warrior just sees the practical need to shield himself from the harshness of the sun.

Black Stone Axe

A kazoo tied to a stick, that somehow acts as a spell-casting focus

Harp of Faether
> A silvered, but dirty piece; one built to exact a fit of wonder upon those nearby. Each string seems ephemeral, but as they are struck, one is almost forced to wonder why few notches are carved into the top. After all, the music that the instrument seems destined to play is not a war ballad, but that which would lull a tide. So why does the harp play so sharply, as if boring within the head?

Relen's Sword

Weapon of the forgotten Honored Rider.
Once a tool of justice, it saw it's master descend from a proud knight into a bloodthirsty shell of a man.

This pitted longsword has seen better days since the death of its legendary master. Drawing the blade makes one feel deeply homesick - even within their own abode.

The price of nature's secrets is paid not in gold, but in tears.

From how these descriptions read, I take it most of this thread has never played Dark Souls before.
This is all just physical description, where in Souls games there’s almost always some lore to be had, however small.
This is a bad example.
These are good examples.

I like this thread. This is a nice fucking thread.

Which one is yours?

Yeah, and mine

The hesitant avenger
A simple short sword laced with a powerful quick acting potion.

Gambler's Crested Helmet

Worn Scattergun

Those who can afford a weapon in the Southwestern Outer Cities usually carry weapons similar to this. It is outclassed in many aspects by more professionally built weapons in its class. But its durable materials and compact design make it the perfect contender for the Tower Slums, where danger is one narrow alleyway or dark drainage pipe away.

>Deceptively sharp No-dachi
This plain-looking weapon consistently surprises the wielder's foes with its reach and sharpness. And maybe also his wielder.

>Nasu no Yoichi's Longbow

Kismet's Javelins

Each Javelin is a finely machined 8.5 foot aerodynamic length of high density Tungsten carbide polished to a sheen. Besides the crosshatching that constitutes the grip, there is one other modification from the form of a traditional Javelin. 4 stabilizing find protrude from the bottom of the Javelin to ensure the projectile doesn't tumble in flight. On each fin, the star shaped logo of Lockheed Martin is emblazoned in blue.

Pettiest of blackguards*
That's how you spell that.

>The Axe of Karrik
A hefty battleaxe with a surprisingly sharp edge. Runes egraved on the side tell a sad tale of friendship and bloodshed

Stone Giant's Hammer

Hammer wielded by the combat golem Rhinestone the Relentless. Carved out of the thigh bone of a dragon, the only material capable of surviving his swings intact.

No regular human could hope to lift it's tremendous weight.

Rating.
Another crucial component is maintaining a careful balance between vagaries and concrete info. Here’s a real example from the games:
>Used long ago by Lloyd's cleric knights on their Undead hunts. Although Allfather Lloyd is long forgotten by the Way of White, his hunts have lived on, and this charm allows one to challenge Undead without fear of tenacious healing.
This is the description for the Undead Hunter Charm in DS3. It mentions Allfather Lloyd by name, and in conjunction with the prevention of healing and the actual effect (block estus recovery within a limited area) it is clearly the Lloyd’s Talisman from DS1.
Or the Gold Coin in DS1., which has Allfather Lloyd on it, and talks about Lloyd as Gwyn’s uncle and a prominent religious figure. But then in DS3 you find the Carim Knight set, that says “nah that guy was a fraud trying to ride Gwyn’s coattails, no one called him Allfather except himself”.
You have to give info because it need to link to another item to create lore.
This is a bad one. No one cares how it looks in Dark Souls’ descriptions. What’s more important is the behavior of the wielder.
This one is better. See, now I’m thinking “wait a minute, a magician who cheated death? You think it means That One Magician?”

A set of ivory prayer beads, worn by the chronomancers of the City of Spells. The cracks and chips on these beads indicate that the previous owner held on to them for a very long time. On a journey where time is meaningless, any item may come to hold value.

>Burned Lord's Mask
An iron mask once worn by nobles to hide their infirmities. Accepting fate brought no end to its owner's suffering, but then, rejecting it is what began his sorrows. Resists heat.

>Sunshade Sword
A dull canesword belonging to the tyrant that fell. One wonders what purpose a parasol might serve, traveling into the sunless places of the world.
