Imperial Guard is the glass cannon of all glass cannons. If they don't shoot you off the table in first turn, things can go terribly bad for them.

The 40k and AoS Tzaangor boxes are identical except for the fact that the 40k box comes with a little sprue with Chainswords and autopistols on it.
For that reason it's pretty stupid they can't take shields or great weapons.

That's 2 dead models per turn from 2 HQs via a basic spell in the psychic phase. Normally that sounds shit, but when you consider it's an 18 model army, I think Custodes are going to get their shit pushed in. Maybe not as hard as being a total curbstomp, but pushed in regardless.

Khorne Daemons are the best army to get a reliable armywide T1 charge in the game, I wouldn't call them bad.
Admech is also far from being bad, they are fairly competitive at other non broken codex armies level right now.
DG is also not broken at all. Sure they are good but putting them on the same level as ultramarines armored lists is a big stretch.

Trying to make as assaulty a list as possible based around a core of carnifexes and lots of gribblys for holding up everything. People are always saying "bring hive guard and biovores and shit." Screw that, I want to eat my enemies faces.

The SOB have half their major orders on Terra and spend time in the imperial palace because they've a long history with the Custodes (The leaders of the SOB orders were brought into the imperial throne room to speak with the Emperor in order to end the Age of Apostasy/The head of the Custodes argued for them being allowed to continue existing after the Age of Apostasy).

Mind you, beyond 'They have a long relationship with them' there isn't really much about how the two groups interacted since then.

You are very light on troops, so conceivably, you might struggle to grab objectives. There's nothing wrong with going armor-heavy, but it always helps to have some boots on the ground.

I would recommend building towards a battalion detachment. If you add one more HQ choice and fill out your troops a bit more, you'll be in a very good spot.

Also- which Forge World did you pick? That's a pretty big factor in which units you should take to fill out your list. Similarly, which Warlord Trait and Relic are you going with?

Autocannons aren't really great for the dreads this edition. they're good for targeting marines and really light vehicles but that's about it. You should run lascannons

Plaguebearer spam has the potential to win hard because a lot of TAC lists simple wont be able to deal, but dedicated horde clearing tactics will work well enough that it won't go the distance once opponents start prepping for it.

Mono-Tzeentch might also have a playable gunline list in there somewhere, flamers and pink horror blobs are both strong, especially now that all their guns are S:user and this get buffed by the Herald aura, and they have a reroll wound rolls of 1 warlord trait bubble.
