Make a DND Campaign

>ITT we make a dnd 5e campaign

post ideas

The pantheon of gods are actually a group of powerful wizard pretenders and one of the "gods" has come down from the heavens to start a rebellion.

No PH races. Setting is entirely Volo races.

>do my job for me
No.

Can involve vore?

>Depends on the setting

This

>Step into my extremely magical dungeon
>That's just a giant mouth

Ha ha ha what no of course it isn't! Heh

A prince has married a commoner and multiple lords are in uproar, some even seek to claim independance from the crown.

Magic-reliant anime faction vs Grognard human supremacist martial faction vs furry nature worshipper/tribalist faction. Drop the players in and see who they end up helping.

>No Game No Life supplement when

>The Players unify the factions and challenge God to a game of chess.

Your party are historical figures reborn into another dimension who have to hunt down both Alexander the Great and Ghengis Khan, who have allied and are working together to conquer the dimension your party has been reborn into.

Ugh

Aside from these god-wizards there is no magic. Monsters are very rare. The stuff of legends. Humans are the only race.

>The Adventures of Ghengis Ron and Wu-Tang Dan

There is no magic. Only sufficiently advanced technology.

campaign takes place inside the 7 intestinal tracks of a world devouring ancient beast

the campaign involves trips through areas inspired by the acid plane in your journey to be shit out alive.

BBEG thread? BBEG thread.

Players have to all agree on playing characters of the same race other than human. Players must band together to protect their homeland from an invasion of humans.

The world is set in neolithic times, the high tech anachronisms that do exist are all connected to the wizards and their realm.

3rd Act reveal that this is far future and the humans are back to reclaim earth from Ancient invaders.

Rumors persist of a mage who sells potions to weak sentient monsters for a pittance that upon being ingested become insanely upgraded versions of themselves or their type. Kobolds instantly become adult dragons, goblins become bugbears or even trolls, and bullywugs become froghemoths. The effect is permenant and there is no change to their mental state. The great king Tandomir has put a bounty on this man's head for the chaos his alchemy has wrought, but will triple the bounty if brought in alive.

In truth he does not care about the chaos this man brings but instead desires a dose for himself. Bring it to him for great reward but the king may not keep his deal once his transformation is complete.
Alternatively one of these potions has already turned the king into a writhing mass of heads upon heads and eyes in wheels that circle around him magically. The wings that keep him aloft but a meter off the ground stick out from his body at painful angles, unmoving and unflapping. He can no longer speak but his steward wishes for you to find this wizard to change the king back.
Any time someone shows any "magical talent" the Gods show up to their "bastard offspring" to offer them demi-godhood or to be destroyed.

Next D&D campaign I'm running will actually be a LitRPG campaign.

player characters go into dungeons, kill shit and loot treasure

The party is hired by the local tavern to kick out a drunk that simply will not leave. The man showed up one day and initiated a drinking contest with a local lord, and whomever bowed out needed to pay the other's bar tab. That was 3 weeks ago, and the man is still drinking anything served to him, while the Lord is slowly going bankrupt.

Upon bothering the man he launches into a tirade about he is a good and will not be treated like common rabble. If pressed he will admit that he has given up his mantle as the god of wisdom and knowledge because he betrayed his station as good and purged a terrible piece of knowledge from his mind that he found hidden within the catacombs of a dead ancient race. He promises to leave if the party redeems him and places the knowledge back into his mind by retrieving it from the catacombs.

A new drug has hit the streets and its killing the assassins guild and the churches people left and right. They join up to rid the capital streets of this scourge with a one time truce!

See a very special episode of gi joe where cobra and the joes team up to clean up the streets

The entire Fast and the Furious franchise but with horse racing.

I once ran a one shot that was just the first movie and it was great.

The Orcs are actually not!jihadis and the PCs are hired by not!israel to exterminate them

Crazy girl is going around opening portals to another dimensions.

>Party is summoned as a group to become slaves to a powerful female mage
>She botches the spell and is killed in the process
>Party steps out into her enslaved halfling village to celebration at their unearned victory
>Another female mag arrives to inform them of the true scope of what's happened
>Before the celebration can continue, another powerful female wizard with unusual skin color appears

>She's trying to kill a member of the party for the artifact belonging to her late sister they're carrying
>It has to be removed in a ritual fashion and the evil mage is outnumbered, so she retreats to her domain
>The good mage sends the party to a crystalline city filled with wonders ruled by a mighty wizard
>Along the way they find a bumbling fool in a cornfield trying to talk to the crows, it seems he's lost his memory

>There's a steel golem held in place, he was the first witch's servant, saved from death
>He was locked into place for failing to kill a paladin of redemption
>A lion is compelled to attack the party but deliberately tries to miss
>He's the paladin of redemption, pleas for forgiveness when the magic is dispelled
>Animated plants try to cast charms and sleep on the party

>They finally reach the safety of the crystal city and its wizard
>This wizard is actually a master artificer, who keeps his people happy with the incredible creations
>He's also secretly dying and needs someone to replace him or else the whole city will go with him
>The memory-less man is revealed to be his apprentice
>The magic on him and the artifact will only be dispelled when the witch is dead

>Head to the witch's domain, where she summons waves of monsters to harass the party
>Eventually climactic fight, witch is killed
>When she dies, the wizard breaks down crying
>He was her lover and put the curse on himself to forget her

>Return to the crystal city, wizard replaces his master, artifact curse dispelled
>The artificer's casket carried away on a hot air balloon
>Winrar

The party has to run a pizza shop, but it's not as easy as they expected!

Or maybe golden sky stories but they're trying to rattatoui the pizza shop owner into being successful. So they have to carefully subvert his terrible business plans... Replace ingredients with better ones.. Etc

>You were part of a party that united a dozen kingdoms under your liege, but he grew paranoid and had you all executed. A mysterious benefactor revives you all as revenants to take vengeance.

>The whole party are clones of an evil wizard who was just vanquished somewhere, triggering their awakening. By some glitch none of you got his soul when he died. Will you find his trapped soul and embrace your destiny or strike out on your own hunted for your father's sins?

>A spelljammer spaceship crashlands in your farmstead. You might suddenly be the richest and most powerful group in the world. If you can keep it secret.

>You orcs are fighting like usual over orcy things, like whether it's better to be cunning but brutal or brutal but cunning, and and some of the fighting spills out into human lands. A couple of elves get their trees burnt down and now the world is in international uproar. Now the humans want to come in and tell you orcs how you ought to stop all this fighting and ought to quit being so orcy. So it's up to a couple of right proper orcs like you to unify the tribes against the humies by whatever means neccessary.

>You are captains of industry trying to corner the fantasy item shop franchise industry. Buy low, sell high, loot everything and find legendary deals to build an empire.

>Players plan with as much time as neccessary to kill the head of an oppressive mage corporation in a magitech kingdom.

Pcs are mercs shipwrecked on an uncharted island full of shit from Gulliver Travels.

Final boss is Jack Black

Weeaboo fightan magic practitioners travel from nation to nation participating in gladiatorial tournaments.

I read the hook that right off the bat, level one, your party finds a super powerful and maybe gamebreaking item.

What are some good items? I was just going to use a Deck of Many things. Preferably stuff that was in Crit Role, but I haven't seen that (only everyone I play with)

>After a tragic accident a group of high schoolers are reincarnated in a new world with great magical powers and artifacts to aid them on their quest to defeat the ruinous demon king
>You are a party of natives who not only must deal with a demonic incursion, but a world now at the mercy of the whims of god powered teenagers

A pair of opposite-sex twin bards walk the earth to entertain with their songs and writing, collecting a massive following so great that rulers are beginning to feel threatened and demand you investigate.
They're just genuinely trying to entertain people.

Okay, and what do you do when the players each choose a different faction?

>players just make basic attacks every round and fight enemies that do the same
Nah.

saw one that was interesting in the last 5e thread
dnd campaign set during a New world age/age of exploration. players are on a mission to chart the new continent and bring back any valuables to their queen. Cortez in magic world

i would just kill the bar owner and let it go out of business. Fuck the rest of that, sounds like a hassle.

Sounds pretty nice, could be a cool campa--

Waaaaait a second.

Party tries to stop an elven wizard from changing the outcome of a pivotal war 500 years ago. He's attempting to build a massive time machine and they must do what they can to sabotage it.

I've been writing one recently.

Crypt of the Fallen

Basically players start out as whatever character they made, but dead, and has recently been resurrected by a cult, but are stuck in a skeleton state.

A staff with limitless casts of Gate.
We Planescape nao

All the geo political strife, conflict, and secret organizations are created by a bored Ulitharid looking to test and nurture people to take on challenges just devour them as they unravel the conspiracy.

They take the form of different helpful figures through out the campaign

Everyone is homosexual
Everyone likes fucking monsters/animals
All religions are dead

A bunch of the Gods are playing a game, one of the gods rolled badly and got the party as its champions. Said god must persuade party to compete in world wide scavenger hunt, god can help them but is limited by rules of the Grand Game.

A wizard leaves his dimension, to join a modern d20 campaign, antics ensue as evil wizard and others join the modern campaign.

A civil war between different orders of paladins threatens to tear the world apart.

i hate every part of this idea

Call of Duty: Magic Warfare

here's one i've been tooling around

>on a frontier town close to a haunted wood to the north and orc country to the east a coven of hags that brought down an elf kingdom centuries past gathers to do so again

no sure i ain't going back to OZ

Steel Ball Run?

Sounds like Canada.

Setting ends after 1 generation (the current one) and nothing of value was lost.
