It seems like it would be a good fit, but CB doesn't seem to like the PAC so the T2 sniper seems to be filling that role for Blackjack. Note how the Kurgat PAC profile was very deliberately and specifically shit on, and the feuerbach has been turned into what is essentially a toned down PAC

2nd for Haqqislam

Does anyone have a PDF of the N3 fluff book?

PanOceania is for _____

whining

Is the stuff on the 1d4chan tactica pages actually good advice? I'm just starting out and don't want to be led astray

What faction are you looking at?

target practice

Red monkeys

Yeah, that one seems solid to me.

In general, no, the infinity 1d4 tactics pages are pretty shitty and are obviously not written by top tier players who know what they're talking about.

Morats are actually one of the harder/weaker factions right now, as they both lack camo, the ability to spam cheap units, and many worthwhile cheap specialist models: while any of these alone is common in other factions, the combination of all of them together makes Morats less successful in scenarios than most other factions.

As a general rule though, and this holds true for all factions, you want either 10 orders or 16-20 orders. If you make a proposed list using army.infinitythegame.com/ we can help you refine it a bit and suggest what direction you should go in with it.

>Morats are actually one of the harder/weaker factions right now

I dunno, Rodok fireteams are pretty good. They can definitely spam cheap units in the form of Datz and Hungries though.

It's an existential kind of feel.

>16-20 orders

Where the fuck are you getting this from?

Especially for morats. Da fuck is this nibba smokin.

The main group+small secondary group tactic can still work, y'all fuckers are acting like 12-14 order lists are unusable now because they still can be hit by that thing they could always be hit by anyway. Being vulnerable to strategic command tokens isn't even relevant in cases where you go second, and it's easy to build around if you don't expect to do much actively with your second group (which in many cases you didn't anyway). Instead of the reasonable "weigh how useful your second group is against the token vulnerability" it's become "OH NO NEVER CROSS THAT 10 ORDER LINE UNLESS YOU SPAM!!!!", which is ridiculous. 11 orders and the AD/TO strat are less attractive than they used to be because you can't avoid taking an order from the main group, but secondary groups aren't weak by any means.

>nibba

This is Veeky Forums. You can say nigger.

Usually my second group tends to be Warbands on bikes. If they want to strip the orders from those guys they are free to.

Meteors are best remotes, too bad mounting them is a pain.

Does anyone have a scan of the fluff pages from ITS 9 booklet?

He can say what the frak he pleases, you cockwaffle reddit droppout, who jerks to überfall commando porn

So I shouldn't start with the monkeys. Okay.

Starting with Morats works just fine. People are too hung up on Camo specialists as being required. Just play more Direct Action missions until you learn some finesse.

You can totally start with the monkeys, if anything it improves your fundamentals. That faggot isn't totally wrong but you don't actually need any of that bullshit to do well. You're going to get your teeth kicked in initially no matter how much camo you have, because the tools are much less important than the person using them.

I wouldn't recommend them if you like being sneaky though, MAF is very direct and mostly works by being aggressive and applying constant pressure. I've seen people try them and it just never clicked because their playstyle didn't fit the faction at all (they're the kind of people who loved their cheap camo specialists and playing around the enemy, rather than the Morat style of applying boot to face and never easing off)

Are there any other aliens than the wolves, tohaa and CA? not even monsterous beasts types?

Helots, the Fenrig, a bunch of other species mentioned in passing in fluff bits. There's a bunch of alien animals, too.

tohaa have neon blue aliens, pokemon, and musclemonsters with laser guns on their backs.

CA have gaki which are acid spitting skittering snikt monsters.

Antipodes and dog warriors are also slightly different remember.

There's plenty of alien animals on every habitable planet and iirc even one that lives in asteroid fields, they just aren't all that relevant to the wargame. Same goes for other aliens that are brought up in fluff as part of Tohaa/CA history.
However one species that will likely be relevant to the wargame are the Helots, or Omn. They're a sapient species of fishmen native to Varuna, and have a rather complicated relationship with PanO.

Sure there are. Limited to the RPG so far though.

Thanks to a kind user a few threads back I expanded on the concept of a REM-leaning 300 pts Imperial Service list.

The general idea was utilising the Su Jian for aggressive busywork as the Weibing covers the Sophotect and targets enemies for the Son-Bae while the specialists push buttons. The CG being my lieutenant may be very transparent but I think the Hsien would see too much necessary action given his MSV 2. Make him more a of all-around defensive unit with a multi rifle? Should I swap the Kanren FO for a second KHD to counter hackers more efficiently?

Some feedback would be appreciated.

What is that?

Are there gatling guns / miniguns in infinity?

If you're going to use a GML remote you need to get yourself an EVO hacker. One of them simply being on the board turns the Weibing's satlock into a miracle machine for marking targets, without the risk of FO or the unreliability of spotlight.

You can try both lieutenants, switching them up is common and useful. I'm not sure about the CG being able to defend himself in the backline, he doesn't seem to have much company there. Hsien will be in the middle of the action, but at the same time he's a tough fucker and can make very good use of that LT order.

Don't bother with shotgun Kuang Shi. Even in a link it's not worthwhile.

I'd go for the second KHD. You're not really losing anything other than the ability to shine lights in people's eyes.

This is just my personal opinion, but I feel like there's a couple of elements really fighting here. The Su Jian+Hsien murder spree fueled by a Kuang Shi could work on its own and the Son-Bae support could work on its own, but I'm not sure they can work together. You've got so many order hungry things there that I can't help but feel like they're going to clash. 7 orders to fuel Su's murder spree is okay, and there's enough for the Kanren's button pushing as well, but then you also need the orders for the Hsien's own smoke cover. Meanwhile the other group has 6 (initially 5) orders for the Hsien's killings as well as all preparations and delivery of guided missiles, which is traditionally an order-intensive procedure itself (particularly with no EVO hacker to cheat with satlock).

Yep, most instances of hyper-rapid magnetic cannons. Yan Huo and both Szalamandras have them in a rotary style, and Overdrons will too when/if their HRMC model comes out.

It's a Jorōgumo, a critter native to Paradiso. A giant spider-like creature that pretends to be a tree and quickly kills and/or lays eggs inside whatever passes below it.

I'm inspired by the guy who wants to build a space station board. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? I think having lots of zero-g and suit areas is awesome, and it'll allow players a new angle for list building.

Planning on working my way towards this list for 300 points. I have the Hassassin starter set and the Friday and was planning on getting the Ghulam infantry and Muyib boxes as well as a Lasiq.
How is this for a 300p list? Planning on having the Muyib fire team be the heavy hitters and the Daylami to irritate the opponent, while the Ghulam can act as cheerleaders for the Hassassin in their group.

Why the haris guy? The Muyibs are your core team right? You don't need the special profile for that. Definitely take a spitfire though, that's the powerhouse for your heavy hitting. Burst 5 with better ranges than anything else in the link.

Alright, will make the necessary changes, also do I need to include the Asawira to form the fire team or can I just use Muyibs?

I think that this is some dudes ways of telling others to only play LI and fuck Ariadna at the same time.

Just Muyibs works, in fact iirc Asawiras are unable to join any team of Muyibs. It has to specifically be Muyibs joining the Asawira haris.
The fireteam core skill in their statblock indicates that they can form a core team.

Spartan Scenics had awesome rooms and corridors sets with removable tops that could work well as space ship or station interior. Too bad they folded.

Wotan missions could work as inspirations.

Thank you very much for the insight and your opinion. Maybe it's indeed a bit much I've tried to cram into this list - seems like I should split it into two different set-ups starting with the Su Jian to gain more experience. Then I can still build something around REMs with an additional Pangguling for EVO.

Besides the bahrajn starter set and the muadibs

box, what is needed for a assasin list ?

the drop troop hacker look really nice, as do Farzan mine layers.

I also really like the govada hmg model, is it good on itself or only good for ghulam proxy.

Ragiks are really solid drop troops. You can proxy the farzan in the starter as a minelayer, no one will mind. Govad HMG is a really good camo hunter. Other things I'd recommend would be:
Lasiq sniper
Ghulam
Leila Shariff (or spec ops model to proxy her)
Hassassin Fidays and/or Hussein Al-Djabel
Ghazi Muttawiah

Fiday is a big one, as are Ghazi.
Farzan and Ragik are both very good.
Govads HMG is okay but not great, it gives you a long range attack piece that punches through camo but is also quite vulnerable. It's better linked, particularly in a haris link.
Other nice things are Al-Djabel, either Lasiq, a Barid, remotes and another Farzan.

You guys ever play with any tweaks to the activation system at all?
If so, what'd you do and how'd it go?

>Tweaks to the activation system
This is beyond slavic

>muadibs
Hue.

You have a solid base. The beauty of Infinity is that now you can basically just go for whatever you want and figure out what works for you and what doesn't for yourself. Just remember to have a solid base of Orders and a good balance of killers vs specialists vs ARO/Speedbump pieces.

As others said, Govad HMG by herself is not that terrific, but they're good in a Haris or as an alternate Core to Muyibs. HMG + Hacker + Haris and you've got yourself a nice active link or Haris + Sniper + ML/Hacker (or double Sniper) and you've got one hell of a defensive one.

Lol look at this guy, cant spell

Its winning, btw :^)

Ayyyy. Glad to see my idea catching on.

Right now the hardest thing for me is figuring our proportions. Unfortunately I do my best thinking as I fall asleep so my good ideas are usually lost... But I remember coming up with a mission:

The defender deploys their force with complete freedom of the board. Literally anywhere, as they are the taskforce security of the station. The attacker, deploying second, can deploy on any of the outer rooms, assuming to use a boarding pod or whatever. If you've got zero g forces, they can enter in any of the hatches.

There would be several possible, semi hidden objectives, such as "control the HQ", "capture X civilians", "poison the kitchen supplies", or "capture the ship in the hangar". Stuff like that. The defenders should have some sort of intel so that they have a good chance of doing well.

There might also be an option for spending points or swc on station upgrades, right? Like MSV2 cameras and an alarm system, but someone has to be operating the guard station and can only focus on one camera at a time or something.

Why the fuck would anyone want to do that...

Fuckin' wit games can be fun if you think about it

>tweaks to the activation system
Ja pierdolę o_O

I think about it quite a bit, but this isn't a game that needs it lol.

...

I meant thinking about it in like, thinking about the changes you make and how they'll change other things, and not just throwing them in.
Not...just thinking about changing games in general.

This is an example of not thinking about it.

I see weed is popular drug in slavland.

Yes but that was for a rather odd scenario. 4 players, 1 running an army of mooks and the other 3 all running an elite infantry with a bonus wound. Each of the heroes got 3 actions to help with the action economy (While the guy running mooks got to bring lost guys back onto the field every turn from reinforcement points).

How bad an idea would it be to make a Tunguska themed nomads list without the sectorial? I never see themed lists outside of official sectorials (in my meta anyway) so is this something that could be viable? Its a handicap for sure, since you don't get any links, but how much of a disadvantage would I really be in?

It would be pretty damn limited, because you lack any proper line troopers and would have to fill in the blanks with remotes. Good thing you have one of the best hackers to support them, but I feel the lists would feel pretty samey before long. You have interventors and spektrs for specialists, Szally and the new Kriza Borac for heavy weapon platforms, but Securitate and Grenzer are pretty lackluster in their current form.

I used a list like that, but I also used two krakot renegades to fill the whole of cheap DTW guys. Also two Spektrs is fun.

can I link the asawira with govada?
I manged to get Leila today for free 0_0 from a dude that bough the dire foes just to get the pandas.

Got the starter, got the muadibs. I will run the daylami as govada linked with leila in a harris. Big 5 man muadib link. a boarding shotgun fidey female and a farzan. i was told to always run one farzan as command chain one, and the other farzans as mine layers.

Not sure what to do with the spec ops. Right now I have him assembled as a virulent rifle lasique. I'll probably get another one to run as sniper.
Still have to wait for the barid hacker and ghazi, the store had to order them.

Is it worth to get red veil or beyond?

Mocna rzecz, ale w sumie widziałem gorsze rzeczy. Limity Camo i TO. albo obowiązkowe 100pkt w najemnikach.

>I manged to get Leila today for free
Nice. You can link her with Muyibs (not muadibs; I know Haqq has references to Dune, but come on) or Ghulam. You can get the Ghulam box and proxy any you need with Daylami or just get the starter pack. Alternatively you can try hunting down old OOP Ghulam Rifle blister, if you don't mind old sculpts; pic related. Unfortunately now basic Ghulam are only available in the generic Haqq starter.

Asawira cannot join a Govad Fireteam, but he can have up to 2 Muyib tagalongs in a Haris.

infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams#Hassassin_Bahram

>Is it worth to get red veil or beyond?

If you have someone to split the cost with, maybe, but a lot of the models in it are not for Hassassins. However if you wish to switch between generic Haqqislam and Hassassins, sure.

>obowiązkowe 100pkt w najemnikach
Brzmi jak format konkretnego turnieju, typu "Mercenary Camp". Trochę jak np. 400pkt i iles tam z tego musi być wydane na HI/TAGi. Co jest w sumie zabawne, bo kiedy indziej wsadzisz do rozpiski Haris ORCów i Swissa? :P

Should be fine so long as you make up for the lack of links with splashing other units like Intruders or something.

Having a small button-pushing area to flip on or off zero-g could be neat.

Atleast the Grenzer FO and ML profiles are pretty good, I figure a Haris of them would be fairly nice. We all know how much the Securitate need a rework.

nie mówie, że nie. Nie wszystko co dziwne zaraz musi być złe. Choć trochę horrorów to się człowiek to naczyta 0_0. 400pts moja list. yu jing husaria.

Right now I have 5 muayibs, 4 from their box and one from the starter. Planing to run them as a link or take 4 with leila. Asawira is a must have. Sad that govadas suck. I will probably be proxing the daylami as different LI. Govada will be the first to test a hmg hacker harris. I just hope the daylami aren't a must have at 3 in assasin lists. With leila I could try to run them as a ghulam link, hmg govada as ghulam hmg, leila, 2 doctors and a Rocket ghulam. alongside that an asawira+2 muayibs harris.

I just don't know who is the Lt in assasin lists, a prone ghulam hiding somewhere ?

Oh my god yes. That could easily be in the HQ room I think. Could even be used defensively. What are the rules for zero g?

infinitythewiki.com/en/Very_Difficult_Terrain

put in some kind of arboretum or flora-laboratory.

>just make it a terrain clusterfuck

>Zero-G jungle
>Both forces give up and go home

A species of spider found on the pano jungle planet they camouflage themselves as trees.

Govads aren't bad by any means, it just that muyibs are probably one of the best fireteams in the game with all the utility they bring

what set ups are run most offten. I assume the rocketman is in 100%. He seems a no brainer. But what else ? are they run as Lts, a doc is good, but haqqislam has so many good docs.

Most common is defensive Harris with the Harris guy, the sniper and either ML or another sniper if you're short on SWC. Other people have mentioned the offensive hacker and HMG harries, but personally, if I'm running an offensive Govad link, it's going to be in a direct action mission and I'm going to be taking them as a core. Offensive Harris can be really good against camo spam / ariadna though

The Sword of Haqqislam blog has a good write up on how to use the govads
swordofhaqqislam.blogspot.com/2017/12/the-morats-of-haqqislam.html?m=1

>the RPG Ariadna book has Dawn Bear-Antipode hybrids that seem like regular bears until you hurt one, at which point it violently transforms into a mass of muscles and claws and tears you in half
Nothing like a Caledonian bear hunt.

best get a headshot the first time.

So what would be included in a theoretical black hand sectorial? Would it just be tunguska stuff plus intruders or something?

Anacondas are supposedly funded by the Black Hand.

Probably mostly units that don't exist yet. Maybe an impersonator would be cool

>Tunguska shit
>Bandit
>Avicenna
>Anacondas
>Observance goons
>probably some Corregidor hirelings

Then there's other unreleased units like Black Fist Agents, Templars, etc.
I'd expect a few unique units but mostly sourced from the other 3 sectorials and mercs.

Interventors, intruders, spektrs, bandits, anaconda for tags.... maybe swast? I could see zeros and sin-eaters as well maybe. I honestly think its up in the air, as only a few profiles mention black hand connections. Maybe if we're SUPER lucky, the book after acheron won't take 7 lifetimes and we'll actually be alive to see.

>But despite the Squadron’s undeniable achievements, the very existence of an independent, private mechanized unit beggars belief, unless it receives support from a hidden hand. A hand that might very well be clad in black...

from the official description, so it's practically confirmed.

>one instance of the desert terrain skill in the entire game
>it's on a PanO guy from the jungle planet
I feel like this particular aspect of the game was not entirely thought through.

Bought the szalamandra because its just so damn cool but I cannot fathom a list for the life of me. Tomcat engineer with remote is in there somewhere. Maybe a TR remote or a sin eater and something with a sniper to Cover it for ARO. Then what?

Szalamandra. Kriza. A TR Drone. Sprinkle Zeroes and cheerleaders to flavor.

Enjoy.

Then an Interventor, some Morans/Zeroes/Bandits (preferably with a KHD among them to protect Szally from bullying), some form of anticamo, a secondary killing unit and maybe some warbands just for that extra utility. This is just an example, you can definitely slot in longer range defensive units like the TR bot if they're more your speed.

I'm reading the rules of Infinity, I've got some questions on some things.

>Prone troopers have a Silhouette (S) value of 0, that is, the equivalent height of a base.
Can any size model go prone and get this? So a model with a Silhouette (S) value of 7 is able to go prone and reduce it to 0? Or is going prone only for size 2 and under or something like that?

>Fireteams
The FAQ section said that a Fireteam could declare the special maneuver 'Discover + BS attack' but earlier it said that fireteam members other than the leader cannot perform an attack. Does that mean only the leader makes the BS attack (with the +1 burst bonus if the team is 3 or more) or do all of them shoot and this is just a miscommunication thing?

It says that the Fireteam leader gets bonuses, it also says the Fireteam leader can be changed at any point for no cost, does that mean if I have 5 models in a Fireteam I can do the following in a single turn?
>Use order on Fireteam, Model 1 is leader, he makes a BS attack getting +1 burst and does a move, everyone else moves and idles
>Use order on Fireteam, Model 2 is leader, he makes a BS attacking getting +1 burst, but targets a different enemy (no LoF to Model 1s target, or some other reason), and does a move, everyone else moves and idles
>Use order on Fireteam, Model 3 is leader, he makes a BS attack getting +1 burst, but targets the same enemy that Model 1 did, he then idles, everyone else idles and idles
etc
So effectively what a Fireteam does is give the main model that you're activating bonuses, and the others get free non-combat actions?

From the rules sections on Fireteam members in AROs, each member gains the bonuses from being a Fireteam leader if I understand correctly? It also said that if they performed a different ARO than the Fireteam ARO, they would be removed, but in following turns could be added back into the Fireteam if in coherency. That's the only spot I've seen a mention of reentering a Fireteam, can it be done normally?

>So a model with a Silhouette (S) value of 7 is able to go prone and reduce it to 0?
Technically yes, but remotes, motorcycles and TAGs are all unable to go prone so it's only relevant for a few units. Namely the few S5 HI, Antipodes, Dogfaces and Tohaa Symbiobeasts.

>Does that mean only the leader makes the BS attack
Only the fireteam leader attacks actively in a fireteam, yeah. If something refers to a fireteam attacking then it's referring to the leader.

>I can do the following in a single turn?
>So effectively what a Fireteam does is give the main model that you're activating bonuses, and the others get free non-combat actions?
Yup. That's how it goes.

>each member gains the bonuses from being a Fireteam leader if I understand correctly?
Everybody except the leader.

>That's the only spot I've seen a mention of reentering a Fireteam, can it be done normally?
infinitythewiki.com/en/Creation_of_a_Fireteam
It ain't free, gotta give up one of those precious command tokens and redeclare the team.

>>each member gains the bonuses from being a Fireteam leader if I understand correctly?
>Everybody except the leader.
Wait what? During the reactive turn the regular members get Fireteam Leader bonuses, but the Fireteam Leader does not?

>>That's the only spot I've seen a mention of reentering a Fireteam, can it be done normally?
>infinitythewiki.com/en/Creation_of_a_Fireteam
>It ain't free, gotta give up one of those precious command tokens and redeclare the team.

From the rulebook pg 16 Fireteam Integrity.
>If the Fireteam has not been cancelled, then the troopers who left will automatically be able to rejoin it if they are again in Coherency with the Team Leader during the Order Count phase of their next Active Turn.
Is that only for the immediate turn afterwards or any subsequent turns?

>If the Team Leader goes enters the Isolated state or any Null state. The cancellation occurs automatically at the end of the Order in which the Team Leader enters into one of those states
So I can freely change what model is the team leader at any point, but should the model that is actively the team leader die, the Fireteam is disbanded permanently and the only way to get it back is to spend a command token to create a new one using the same models?

>So I can freely change what model is the team leader at any point, but should the model that is actively the team leader die, the Fireteam is disbanded permanently and the only way to get it back is to spend a command token to create a new one using the same models?

It doesn't have to be the same models. Any legal for that kind of fireteam.

>Wait what? During the reactive turn the regular members get Fireteam Leader bonuses, but the Fireteam Leader does not?

Everyone gets the bonuses.
I didn't know about automatic rejoin, I'll have to look that up myself.

>So I can freely change what model is the team leader at any point, but should the model that is actively the team leader die, the Fireteam is disbanded permanently and the only way to get it back is to spend a command token to create a new one using the same models?
Team Leader is changed only in active turn upon fireteam activation or in special case if there's a Number 2 in the link while the active leader dies. But generally yes.

Just reread the rules until you understand them, anons are just going to confuse you.

>During the reactive turn the regular members get Fireteam Leader bonuses, but the Fireteam Leader does not?
Wait shit. No I was wrong, they all get the bonus. I think team leaders used to be exempt before HSN3 and you should still hide them, but they get the bonuses now.

>If the Fireteam has not been cancelled, then the troopers who left will automatically be able to rejoin it if they are again in Coherency with the Team Leader during the Order Count phase of their next Active Turn.
Huh, never caught that. It doesn't come up much desu, weakening all your attack AROs (including the one currently underway) may be worth it sometimes but not often, and usually when somebody has left it's because they died.

>Is that only for the immediate turn afterwards or any subsequent turns?
Fairly sure it's only the immediate turn afterwards. The words are "their next active turn".

>So I can freely change what model is the team leader at any point, but should the model that is actively the team leader die, the Fireteam is disbanded permanently and the only way to get it back is to spend a command token to create a new one using the same models?
That's how it goes. If the leader leaves the team for any reason the whole thing gets cancelled and there's no easy way to get it back. It doesn't necessarily have to be the same models though so long as they can form a team, it's considered a completely new link.

They should get a sectorial list eventually, and there is enough released right now that you might as well start. The Szalamandra is the best Nomad TAG, and Interventors are one of the better hackers in the game. Once you throw in a Clockmaker, Daktari, and a Spektr, you could probably be Tunguska specific by running a REM swarm. A few Tunguska specific selections (the Securitate in particular, the Grenzer is not that great either) tend to be quite below average so you should probably avoid them for now.

>lack camo, the ability to spam cheap units
you are an idiot who probably plays on too dense of tables

I always recommend this video to new players trying to build a list:
