She's a brave warrior who defends her town from zombies, which is cool, but what I really like about her is that she stood up to a Planeswalker. In-universe, a regular human has no business standing up to a planeswalker. Planeswalkers break the rules and do whatever they want. But Thalia stood up to one because they were dealing with demons and doing necromancy and stuff.

Then, instead of chilling out after her near-death experience against a deamon and a planeswalker, she instead leads a rebel band of good guys against a crazy inquisitorial alien tentacle cult regime and does a pretty good job.

I like that she's so brave in the face of ridiculous odds and that she stands up to people massively more powerful than her because she thinks it's the right thing to do. She's an excellent role model.

She's also very pretty and has very pretty hair. And a sharp fashion sense.
