Always double check the first and last letter of the address at least that's what I do

You didn't send it to a BTC wallet.
You sent it to a XML address of which you don't have the private keys.
How is anyone going to recover them?

I'm pretty sure you can download an XLM wallet, then use the private seed of that BTC wallet on the XLM wallet and it'll be there

Something I liked about bch is that when you send, it checks if the address akchually exists. Pretty cool. This was when I sent from Bithumb, pretty sure not all exchanges implemented it yet.
