Has your party utilised traps to defeat a difficult enemy before? If so how did it go? Did you beat it?

Gentlemen.

How do we exploit Arcane Gate?

This thread sucks

I wanted people's opinion on the Cleric of the Grave in Xanathars Guid. Opinions? How would you play it? I've made a ghostwise halfling cleric and am excited to try it out.

>put other end in underdeveloped nation
>exploit their natural resources back to your own country without even having to mess with costly transportation time

Wait for the real thread everyone, this is just the butthurt fetish poster. You know what to do.

Meh it's one of those spells that gets completely fucked by it's own limitations.
Best thing you could do is angle one end over something deadly, like a lava pit and then force the enemy through the other end using forced move abilities, but that requires you to have a pit of lava.
You could use it for fast getaways I suppose, 500ft in a single move is nothing to scoff at.
Personally I think it's one of those spells that is intended for DM's to use to make gimmicky combat encounters.

Better than the other thread

REAL THREAD HERE, IGNORE BUTTHURT FETISH TROLL

Not really

Reporting for making a duplicate thread

Oh, Jesus Christ, who cares? Just talk about 5e. The link in OP isn't hurting you.

Ignore the autists user. What part of 5e would you like to discuss?

No
We are better than this

Nobody cares about your Discord drama. Stop making duplicate threads and get the fuck off Veeky Forums.

Can you guys recommend any Android apps that you find helpful? I bought the DM guide, monster manual, and the player's handbook. Looking for any helpful resources I can use when I'm not at home. Right now we're a group of four with me as the DM. Trying to design a simple starting campaign with a basic setting as my wife and I are new to the game, as is the wife of the other couple. The only person who's played before is her husband and he says it's been over twenty years. So we're essentially starting from scratch. Thanks.

stat her

I'm not sure about android but look for fight club 5/game master 5 if you want a quick referencing app. You just need to import a bunch of xml files to bring it up to date however.

What are some interesting recharge options for magic items? I'm looking for something a bit different from the usual "1dX+Y charges at dawn". I have a magic weapon that regains a spent charge after reducing a hostile creature to 0 HP, and another one that can be recharged by being placed in a fire for an hour. Does anyone else have some cool ideas?

A switch.

If X is in Y state, it can do Y action as an action which takes C number of rounds. Switch it Z state.
If X is in Z state, it can do X action as an which takes B number of rounds. Switch it to Y state.

I had a fun one where the player could use an item to steal light from light sources. He could then release the light somewhere else to restore it's ability to steal.

Rolled 2, 14, 13, 12, 10, 3 = 54 (6d20)

Level 1 Human Fighter

I like that idea, user. I think I'll steal it.
