An ethnic group of somewhat-isolated people are known for their creepy accents, crazy eyes, perpetual sneers, deathly looks, and beckoning people to follow them in dark forests.
They're actually very nice people trying to help others out of dangerous places, and persist despite the persecution they suffer
How would you implement this kind of ethnic group into your game?
I'd want to also add in a desert variant associated with mirages who lead lost travelers to oases.
Levi Lopez
That's just nemesis users, they look like creeps but are nice people.
Xavier Smith
Ah, these must be those "NEETs" I've heard about.
Aiden Perez
i am amused by that idea, perhaps they have some weird clothes full of symbols and other details that make them look like a cult, when in reality is just traditional grab.
Levi Taylor
They could be a type of fae or some other human-but-not-quite type of creature native to the forest. Maybe a leftover of some sort; a mage's attempt at creating his own population of servants or some-such.
They could just be so secluded that they've gone and got some sort of heritable disease bred into their population, it's just not severe enough to make them keel over until some time into their midlife.
Jaxon Moore
Their related to a race of bizarre fey whose realms has many secret portals all over the world. The fey are hostile to anyone who blunders into their realm but someone whose a guest is ignored. So the people watch over the portals and guide anyone who blunders too close in knowing that if their a guest they should be ok.
Brayden Hernandez
Oh, that's just the PCs.
Easton Anderson
Lav is cute! CUTE!
David Baker
Pic not related I hope, Faputa is fucking psycho.
Sebastian Flores
She fucked Yog-Sothoth
Isaac Thomas
>fae >good Pick one.
Gavin Rodriguez
make them slavicesque.
Easton Watson
fae aren't necessarily evil, they have a capacity to do good, and often do so. the mistake is not recognizing when it is a good fae or not, as trickery is their domain as a whole.
Camden Moore
I just wanted a pic of a human-like entity acting autistic and didn't have a better one.
William Carter
I literally just wrote them in after reading this thread. Scary QTs are my fetish. Thanks for the idea which is now my intellectual property OP.
Caleb Rivera
In this case it could work, though, if tributes of some sort are made to them in some ancient contract. Or even having the group be part of some ancient contract with Fae. Perhaps people tasked with tending to the woods, fairy circles, and keeping civilization from encroaching too far into it in exchange for, I dunno, druid type powers and such.
Jeremiah Howard
Isn't there a type of halfling like this? Who also tend to have mild psychic abilities?
Logan Jones
Witch coven led by a nice doting hag
Aaron Miller
>what are seelie fey
Anthony Allen
Just as fucking dangerous as unseelie. The difference is that a seelie fae is only less likely to screw you over from the get go.
Isaiah Hernandez
overused thrope, for starters
Chase Mitchell
>what are literally the fae that will kill you because it's good for the ants or because you insulted them by not inherently knowing their courts highly obscure and fluid rules or by being a member 29 gens away from a contract nobody recalls >what are literally the fae people tend to fear because they're the ones that play lethal pranks or smile while they flense you because it was funny to them for a quick second
Benjamin Evans
No but their morals and ideologies are so far and away from our own that our evil might as well be their good or vice versa depending on how they're feeling or if today happens to be opposite day or if they're bored or if we don't have pockets full of sand and fresh baked bread etc.
Luke Morales
NEETs aren't nice people.
Anthony Williams
>An ethnic group of somewhat-isolated people are known for their creepy accents, crazy eyes, perpetual sneers, deathly looks
This may not be your magical realm, but I can assure you that it's mine and I'd prolong my time interacting with her as much as possible.
Kayden Peterson
Same. Even made my last character one and commissioned a bunch of pictures of her. Good taste user.
Kayden Gonzalez
>Spooky qt lovers I see you are all men of refined taste
John Robinson
It's not exactly the same but it instantly made me think of a literally who webcomic I haven't checked back on in ages.
Astral Aves. Had to google a bit to refind it.
Thomas Jackson
They're the inhabitants of several small towns located around a forest with a bad reputation that separates the Southern and Northern kingdoms (or whatever). The forests reputation is well deserved, as dark and terrible things lurk within, and these people who look likewise dark and terrible would hate to see travelers get lost to the woods. Many towns will send out patrols at night, those who know well how to avoid evil and sense it's rotten stench, and likewise be drawn to the smell of lost travelers whom have made a bad mistake in the hopes of leading them to safety. Many will not chose to follow upon seeing the patrols, as indeed in the faint moonlight they often seem as dark spirits themselves, those few who do will be taken into silent and dark towns where few chimneys smoke but many pale faces can be seen out the corners of eyes and through dirty windows, turn your head fast enough and you'll just be able the catch a glimpse of something move out of sight. Keep following and soon enough you'll find yourself in a quaint little tavern filled with gloomy very quite friendly towns people playing simple games or just enjoying the food and company, and nothing bad will happen to you. Also just ignore the woman sitting on all fours outside your window watching you, she's not a spirit, she's just drunk
Christian Foster
post them faggot
Jacob Morales
I had something similar to this in a game I played a while ago. A species of bizarre moth women from a magical pocket dimension, who fall into the material realm when the flow of magic allowed sudden perforations in the metaphysical boundaries of their wasteland home.
I call them moth-women, but they still looked all around human, albeit incredibly pale and lithe. Their mannerisms were disturbingly insectoid though, which left a distinct unease in the educated people they came across, and a lingering terror in unknowing farmers.
At one point, one of them met with and decided to play with a fae creature, and the forest just about exploded when the fairy tried to 'true-see' the moth woman. It freaked out and called the woman a 'gibbering lie', but we never figured out what that meant. It was all very unnerving, but the moth women themselves just seemed bizarre rather than actively malicious.
Caleb Davis
Your GM has a patrician magical realm
Colton Watson
I think it was more the opposite. He was trying to get one of us to live out our magical realms with his pixie characters only to unload some Lovecraft shit on us.
Unfortunately for him, I'm terrified of women in real life AND in games.
William White
I like how the thumbnail makes Lav look like she's sneering but when you click it it's just some blood on her face.
Jason Ramirez
Oh shit, you still here? I sorta passed out.
Owen Price
post it for everone else itt, for inspiration and the like.
Daniel Hughes
>Spooky waifu thread Good day, today.
Robert Clark
I based her off of Lav, Hex Maniac, and Tomoko sorta. With a swamp witch/frog theme. Was really happy with her, so decided to get some art of her.
Ayden Green
She looks breddy gud, user.
Jordan Butler
Hey, thanks user. Have my favourite shot of her.
Jayden Butler
user*
Asher Johnson
>it got better I wasn't expecting this.
Hunter Butler
I have something like that, actually. They're a bunch of layabouts and donothings, who have a natural ability to ogle people disconcertingly. This disconcerting ogle defuses their emotions and replaces them with mild discomfort. They often do this unintentionally, and get confused when people start shirking away from them.
They make good bouncers and guardsmen so long as they have someone to keep them doing things, but are very much ostracized because they're famously awkward people.
Nolan King
anons* Jesus Christ am I out of sleep.
Luis Nguyen
Hey, glad you like her. I'm really happy with how she came out.
Brayden Hughes
>namefag ugh
Levi Martin
I like it!
Easton Adams
Looks neat
Justin White
So what's your spooky waifu?
Juan Diaz
i wonder how she looks when she's happy or snuggling.
Grayson Richardson
A severely over exaggerated smile that shows way too many teeth and to most on lookers just looks like your average serial killer smile
Jayden Evans
Eileen the Crow is best waifu >But user, you don't even know what she looks like I prefer the mystery
Landon Ramirez
Lavinia is pretty normal except for a perpetual look of "I've seen some shit" and being an albino with a horn growth which she had in the original work. Such growths are more common on people who suffer from albinism.
David Baker
That is her happy face.
Jack Gonzalez
Wheres the porn boss?
Chase Gutierrez
I love her
Adrian Myers
Mish. Get off of Veeky Forums
Chase Moore
They are blood magic users, but only use their own blood and never others. The regular depletion of their own blood supply makes them pale and sickly-looking, but they possess immense power. This appearance makes other peoples spurn them, and has forced them to live in their own remote enclave, but still try to intercede on the side of good whenever they can.
Jayden Ortiz
eh they tend to be grumpy assholes but most of them aren't outright full of malice.
Connor Murphy
That would amuse me greatly
>they’re known for having the unwary for dinner >and the unwary always bring back leftovers
Jacob Stewart
They're mutants in a post-apocalyptic world and have intimate knowledge of tech most people have long since lost. This technical acumen is looked at with both awe and superstition, forcing them to live in wandering caravans helping repair/maintain old tech.
Charles Moore
There's none, yet. Dunno who that is, sorry.
Luis Davis
What's with that gross chromatic aberration effect?
Zachary Miller
I want to adopt your character and give her a nice bath.
Kevin Hernandez
It's just one of the artist's stylings I suppose. Idk, I like it but I do get that it wouldn't be for everyone. Delete this.
Jonathan Anderson
Post full body so we can change this
Xavier Murphy
>There's none for shame
Justin Morgan
This is the closest I've got. The artist had a nude reference cooking up, but life issues have left them a bit on the backburner. That's going to quickly change once I get off my ass and make some more commissions, don't worry.
Jayden Nelson
That makes more sense now. I thought the artist was posting. XXVII is a really rad person.
Alexander Collins
...
Tyler Thompson
Yeah, they're great. Really helped me in coming up with her design. I've got like, three more character ideas for creepy girls that I'm going to throw at them since I love their artstyle for this sorta stuff so much.
Camden Gonzalez
now you got me real curious which parts are sickly pale and which are green
Chase Jenkins
I imagine it sorta fades out mid-forearm and mid-shin. My idea for her is that she was performing experiments and got caught in the backfire at some point, giving her her hands, feet, and eyes their appearance. Haven't gone super deep into figuring that out though, might change my mind somewhere down the line. Maybe further up the arms/legs, maybe even on parts of the body. Not super sure what I wanna go with, haven't discussed it with the artist a whole lot yet.
Brayden Murphy
We went to high school together and were roommates for a bit. I'm so happy she's getting back into her art. She taught me how to draw too. And the style is pretty contagious.
Also please do commission them more. We need more creepy cuties and she needs more recognition. >pic somewhat related my style.
Hunter Hall
I want to salt that frog
Dominic Ramirez
...
Ryan Ross
I mean, her tongue is green... that might set some precedent for the rest of her mushy soft parts.
Adam Taylor
Hah, it's a small world. I actually found her from pic related expecting the artist to be some uncommissionable pixiv artist, and was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon them during their (at the time) yearly opening. Do not. True, I'll have to give it some thought. Might have to go with that though, it'd add a bit of snowflakeness.
>It's just one of the artist's stylings I suppose. When your styling is "i will give you eye cancer", something is fucked
Leo Turner
It's gross, she's gross, it's a perfect match.
Nathaniel Long
I've always thought the best way to run them was well intentioned trolls; They turned your ears to donkey ears because they want you to stay the fuck away from their sociopathic bretheren that want to eat your children or whatever. This doesn't mean they're not assholes, but it DOES mean they're not likely to kill, maim, or destroy your shit without a good reason (an actually good reason, not "I was bored and you were in the way").
Separately, >It senses coming disasters and appears before people only to warn them of impending danger. >It appears when it senses an impending natural disaster. As a result, it was mistaken as a doom bringer.
Jacob Nelson
It might be a nostalgia thing for the days of CRT television.
Daniel Murphy
Forgot my (you)
Brandon James
HEY. WHERE DO WE GO TO SEE YOUR CHARACTER ONCE COMMISSIONS ARE MADE? this is HIGHLY important. Who are you commissioning it with?
>xxvii-xxvii.tumblr.com/ Thank you user, I will keep track of this for later. And I might steal your witch art for playing a witch later. Though I usually go for the REAL crone-y ones, so a cute one will be a change of pace.
Xavier Wilson
I steal enough character art that I'd be remiss in stopping someone else from doing so. Just so long as it's only a small thing, I couldn't help but not want anyone stealing her for anything major...
Jayden Lee
It's almost entirely for game playing. Though, I am working on some vidya, and am not opposed to outright stealing ocdonutsteeles if I have sufficient clout to get away with it. Hm.
Oh well, I'll just get an artist to redraw a slightly different frog witch if I want a cute frog witch. Like I do with all the things I blatantly steal.
Aaron Morris
Watch as he just tells the artist to stop posting pictures of their character.
Don't ruin this for the rest of us.
Daniel Robinson
Look, I'm being honest that I am a huge fucking scumbag. But, because I really want the porn, I promise pinky swear not to steal this one if I'm putting it in a big game.
Ryder Rivera
Well frogs and witches aren't exactly the most original connections, but I'm pretty attached to this character since she's my first real donut steel and have been intending to write some short stories involving her. And the lewds I get of her will probably wind up somewhere I'm sure, whether I make an F-List or post it here or /d/ at somepoint.
