I've recently learned that one of my players is writing smut about his character from my campaign. Furthermore, this smut includes characters of other players and some of my NPCs. Apparently, he wrote a lot so far.
It seems super weird to me - to the point I'm considering kicking the creep out, but other players seem strangely fine with it. A few even asked if they could read those stories.
Is this a thing that normally happens, or am I just stuck with a "special" player?
Depends on how good smut is - if it's tasteful, I would probably keep it as thing in campaign as one of the stories character wrote and is now selling and let other players react in character.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I used to be sleeping with one of my players and she'd frequently roleplay as one of her characters from one of my campaigns in the bedroom. So long as that shit doesn't affect the game itself in a way that makes anyone uncomfortable it's no big deal
I wish my players would love the game enough to write smut about it.
Seriously now, I wouldn't be mad about it; sure I would feel violated if the NPCs I created were to be used for fap material, but in the end it's all in the mind...now, if it starts to affect the game, that's other thing.
How did you find out about it? Did he tell you, or was it accidentally?

That's odd, but it's not "THIS CREEP EWWWW" weird.
I feel like he should have asked before including your NPCs or the other player characters (albeit they seem to have granted permission after the fact), but otherwise what he does on his own time is his business.
It's not really creepy until he starts writing smut about -you-, at which point you would absolutely be justified in calling him a creep and kicking him out.

The only reason you should have for kicking him out is if he was sending these smut out and forcing the other players to read them, thus creating an uncomfortable environment. Assuming the players are good with it (which may or may not be implied by them asking to see/read it). Then as long as the smut doesn't effect the game, and they stop telling you about it if you ask them to stop, it should be fine.
