>Spheres of Might talents are kinda cool
>the classes suck ass, expect maybe Striker

>All these Student Council apps with no mechanical provision for their alter ego
>Or any reason why they'd be interested in the fucking Theatre club
>Or any interesting roomate or student archetype choices

It's kind of the point that it's nothing special, just a decently sized town near the border with the Elves and on the road between there and the city the governor worked out of, which was why her mother was hired on along with several other local crafters to show off the skill of the border town along with his delegation.

Bringing back a child of one of the lesser Elven princes wasn't exactly the plan, and a bit of a surprise on the road back.

But it's one of those places big enough to be a bustling hub, yet small enough for everyone to at least know of everybody else. And has a distinctly Germanic architecture and culture.

Make a shit game, get shit apps.

>Expecting any sort of quality from a pile of randos applying to a game that looks worse than Skyfall (even after Skyfall was revealed to be a boozle)

So is the infamous jade regent game still alive?

As far as we know. There were rumors of the Friday's game dying off, but I think that was just wishful thinking.

Alive and kicking. Both teams of it

>even after Skyfall was revealed to be a boozle
Unless the would-be DM said they wouldn't be running for whatever reason, give it until February 1st. If there's no update of any kind, it's safe to call it a bamboozle.

Friday team lost one member due to scheduling conflicts, but that's about it.

>most have some mechanical provision, you likely don't know what the minor gestalt stuff you're looking at does

>They get called to the threatre club, why would they have to be interested in the first place

>Some people aren't that interested in the roommate or playing out an archetype, some are clear archetypes without having to say what they are

How far along in the AP they?

Hit a bit of a snag over the holidays but they're about to go to the Crown/In the process of crossing it

>give it until February 1st
Are you really that gullible? He made his account on the same day as the Carnal Crown/Bones and Bedshackles bamboozle, and had similarly little to offer besides "lewd game".

He's probably not gullible, just desperate.

do people still fall for the "horny sex game" bait?

Well, I didn't know that. Now it's pretty much a guaranteed bamboozle.

I didn't app to that game, so I can't be that desperate.

Apparently.

But why? Better to have no game than play a bad game, and Skyfall was the epitome of a bad game. Bad premise, bad GM, bad apps, bad all around.

Wow it's like it's a dumb concept and people are just applying because they're desperate to play anything at all.

I used it as practice
Now I'm hoping SCoT is way better

>practice
Practice on your own time or in a game you actually care about.

whats your app :D

Can anybody with any experience playing Kineticists offer any advice to someone interested in playing a tanky Geokineticist? Possibly a Kinetic Knight?

It's just hard to wrap my head around how this class plays purely by reading it.

Thanks in advance friends.

>Practice on your own time or in a game you actually care about.
I meant practice applying to Roll20 games my dude

Not posted yet, but it'll be the kobold vigilante

>Now I'm hoping SCoT is way better
What leads a man to such delusion?

SCoT looks solid, idk what ya'll are on about

It's a biweekly AP. How anyone can think good things of that is beyond me.

Are you the same idiot who didn't see Skyfall's bamboozle coming from miles away?

How much wisdom do druids even need?

All of it.

All of it?

That largely depends on what you want to do with it. Druids can wear a few different hats and the answer to that question changes depending on which one you want.

If you're not casting spells with saves you can probably start with 13 and just increase it with items. If you are casting spells with saves you want it as high as you can get it.

Depends. You can be a perfectly capable martial with wildshape alone, so if that's all you're interested in, you can dump wisdom.

Sell me the sorcerer. What kind of sorcerer can you build? What would you recommend? How does it compare with a wizard?

Always aim for 17 on your main stat for every profession at lvl 1.

You're worse than a wizard even if you take the bloodline that lets you use INT instead of CHA, because your limited number of spells known make you much less versatile. You're still a solid Tier 2 though, so it's a good choice if the other players aren't playing OP shit and you don't want to steal the show by always having the spell that solves whatever the problem is. Also AFAIK the Sylvan bloodline is the only way for an arcane caster to get an animal companion, if that's something you're interested in.

Nah, Skyfall's bambooze was incredible obvious

but ScoT isn't a bamboozle

While Wizards are better at scenarios they can prepare for, Sorcerers are better on the fly - they can use all Spells Per Day in a level on one spell if they need to.

Bloodlines also give plenty of cool bonus powers, a free extra known spell every odd level starting at 3rd, and extra feats at 7, 13, and 19 from the Bloodline's list.

A Draconic Sorcerer, for instance, starts with the ability to grow claws as a free action that can be used 3+ChaMod rounds per day (nonconsecutive), and start at 2 1d4 attacks at full BAB (Assuming Medium creature size). At 5th level they're now Magic weapons. At 7th 1d6 each. At 11th you get to add 1d6 energy damage.

You get Energy Resistance (and at 20 immunity) based on what kind of dragon is in your lineage, you get a Breath Weapon at 9th, and at 15th you can grow Wings and fly.

Been away for a few months. Anything good for martials come out, 3pp included? Last I saw was SoM.

It's still a biweekly AP game that takes place in not-highschool. Just because it's not a bamboozle doesn't make it not garbage.

/shrug

I find the premise fun at least, its a solid way of folding an AP into the premise and doesn't feel out of place for pathfinder

Im planning on running a Demoniac. What class do you think fits better for a Demoniac of Dagon?

Any 9th level caster that has access to summon spells.

>Spell list cuts off at 7th level and above. You only get spells of 7th, 8th, and 9th level from your domains
>You keep the spell slots, so you use them for domain spells and metamagic
>Spell list gets trimmed
>You now get four domains, instead of two
>Domain powers are replaced with Domain Training, which are a talent system, like rogue talents
>your list you can pick from is determined entirely by your domain, there's a short list you can select from that is stuff available to all clerics though
>The list is basically just channel energy feats.
>Domains have about 4-5 options you can pick

>Domain trainings come in a few forms
>Channel Trainings affect your channel energy ability.
>Prayers are auras that are activated as a move action, that last Wis mod rounds and provide buffs/penalties
>Hymns take a full round action to perform but usually come with an extra powerful effect that can't be replicated easily
>Apocrypha trainings add bonus spells to your spell list which you can prepare.
>Ritual trainings replace a lot of higher level spells (i.e "teleport to nearest center of worship for your god", "plane shift to your deity's plane", "request a miracle from your deity")

Is this idea a good or is it a shit? I want to rewrite the Cleric with the goal of making worshippers of different gods fundamentally different from each other. I.e a cleric of Gorum will likely not have ANYTHING in common with a cleric of Abadar

I'm thinking I'll bundle it in with Unchained Oracle, though that one will be a bit less intensive

Is 3rd party allowed? Kineticists of Porphorya and Legendary Kineticist are great for options.

Case by case basis with my DM, I'll ask him. Thanks for your response.

Any experience playing the class yourself? Just making sure that this mess of a written class actually ends up being something half way effective. (Not that there's too much pressure as it's not a "high tier" party anyhow).

>Old Thread Dead when I posted.
Ray Holiday poster. I wanted be support but also have Persona flair so I've rebalanced my Phantom and finally got all the heals and support skills I wanted. However I feel like my backstory could be reworked for the better.

I was thinking of making the priest who raised him a Varisian so that's why he has the Masterwork Harrow Deck. Since the Harrow is pretty much the Pathfinder Tarot Arcana, I was going to have a backstory showing that the old man knew about my abilities but played coy until I came clean myself. I was going to give Bishop Holiday a backstory similar to Uncle Iroh from Avatar mixed with the personality of Robert Freeman' (Boondocks) and Bill from Left 4 Dead. He was a freedom fighter back in the day against Chelish supremacy in Galt but became disillusioned when the Grey Wardens took over and turned the rebellion into a 24/7 bloody Ba Sing Se. He lost his own son, brother and wife in the rebellion but stayed hopeful that in the teachings of Milani that he would get to see them because of reincarnation.

He would have been a Cleric/Harrower who acted as a free clinic healer and Councillor to the inner city via his Harrow Readings. Raymond would have come to him as a teenager because the Church acts like a halfway house, Holiday would counsel him and noticed his innate magical powers. Constant Auguries would show several cards from the deck depicting Ray's backstory and future. On multiple spreads the Theater Harrow Card meaning that you become tied to something involving gods and the Desert Harrow representing working together on a task that is impossible to do alone (Rivers in the Desert) would appear. Finishing off with the Big Sky card that's all about emancipation it would be seem like Ray is going to be tied into the plot whether he wants to or not. Also was debating on switching his Phantom shape to this, having him represent the Fortune Arcana and also referencing the RJD2 Album for his theme.

>Spell list cuts off at 7th level and above. You only get spells of 7th, 8th, and 9th level from your domains
Cut Spell Lists off at 6th, give scaling bonus to spell DC's after that point to keep up with shit. Don't give 7th, 8th, 9th levels at all.

>a stupid gobbo
>blocking your charging path
all you'are fault for not having a mean of flight once in the teens, or even just a decently sized bonus to acrobatics (jumping)

With the 3PP he mentioned it is fine in a non high-tier party. Without it though I really wouldn't go that deep. I would also suggest using some archetypes as you need to specialize more than just the base class.

I'm fine with level 7, 8, and 9 spells, but there's a difference between 7th/8th/9th spells that you can use and not completely break a campaign, and those that do.

It's the difference between spells like Resurrection, Create Demiplane, and Miracle and spells like Greater Restoration, Dimensional Lock, and Energy Drain. They're 7th, 8th, and 9th-level spells, but one set has very different implications for both a campaign's narrative and party cohesion.

Why do you hate Beguilers so much?

Addendum, I probably would do that if I created an unchained Arcanist that focused hard on metamagic.

Did the last player companion get leaked yet? Disciple's-something-or-other?

Street date is Wednesday.

I don't like cutting off the higher level spells, Clerics' power is really overrated since their spell list isn't very good until the really high levels. Also I recommend adding a lot more things you can do with channel energy since not all gods will care about positive and negative energy.

A Beguiler hacked into my WoW account and then stole my dog.

Sounds aces to me m8.

>Underhanded rogue talent
>Must be a weapon thst the enemy is unaware of
Does this include regular sneak attacks?

Thinking of applying to SCoT with pic related as my character art. She'd be a cheerleader Spiritualist and her phantom would be her recently deceased boyfriend who had been the school's star quarterback. Yea or nay?

Shit, forgot the pic.

>That art
>Not having her be the town bicycle and having her phantom be the manifestation of all her aborted fetuses

Here ya go m8.

>Ghosts it my vagina?

Nay, would fit into something more comedic/spooky, not Persona

Ooo, this one. I vote for this one.

The color of the ghosts just makes it look like she's letting one rip while fanning it out.

...

How many beguilers could a beguiler beguiler beguile, if a beguiler beguiler could beguile beguilers?

Still sounds better than most of the apps so far, though.

>the last player companion
last like really last?
Are they done making content for pathfinder?

"Last" probably meaning "latest" in this case.

As the GM, sounds like a pretty fun character concept!

True
I take back my naysaying, write it out anyways. Just make it Persona

Did the business girl who supported her parents with fight club pull out of Student Council? I really liked her character concept.

>samefagging this hard
>inb4 photoshop

Have you thought about updating the campaign traits?

>he doesn't know

Speaking of beguilers, the most recent major update included the option to turn your character into a goddamned vilderavn. What can we do with this?

...

There's nothing you can do.

The gears are set in motion.

??

New IP, dude.

epic phonepost

Pls no

You guys are trying too hard.

I don’t get it.

that pussy is STANK

Why's technician bad?

You guys are being weird about this.

I hadn't actually thought about it, but now that you mention it, that probably wouldn't be too bad an idea. They both feel like something a campus organization might grant as a boon, though I don't want to actually say what might give what to prevent people trying to just build a minmaxed social life, as silly as that sounds. Still, I'll have to consider it!

>both
Council of Thieves has more than two traits. What are you looking at?

I'd say every domain would have some manner of "channel energy" power relevant to the domain that replaced or augmented the stuff it did. And the "universal" domain trainings would lean more into giving you new ways to channel it.

Stuff I was looking at in particular

>Channel Energy shapes. The Default Shape is a burst centered on you. (Shape) trainings allow you to change how it's channeled, (Energy) trainings allow you to change what it does
>Example (shapes) include
>shaping your energy as a divine wave, affecting all targets within a 60ft cone
>summoning your deity's favored weapon, with an enhancement bonus equal to 1/2 your channel die for 1 minute/level, affecting all targets you hit with it (though effects only proc once per round per enemy)
>channeling it into Warlock-style Mystic Bolts.
>Making it centered somewhere else within range, instead of on you
>Transfering channel energy uses to your allies so they can use them instead
>putting down a totem that pulses for a number of rounds equal to your channel energy die, but with a reduced effect

example (energy) trainings would include
>Air domain dealing electrical damage instead of the normal damage type, targets in metal armor taking a penalty to saves against it.
>War domain increases damage for all targets affected by an amount equal to your channel energy die
>Chaos domain gives everyone affected disadvantage (like 5e)
>Fire domain deals fire damage, and has a DoT if a target fails a save

I'd probably do all the other 9th-casters eventually, with the endgoal of bringing them down to tier 3 a la the Beguiler, Dread Necro, and Warmage from 3.5e

I'm not on a computer with the player's guide atm and don't have the trait list memorized, so I just googled and it only listed Pathfinder's Exile and Westcrown Firebrand. I think that the "nerf tieflings" option may actually be a trait but I don't intend on even dignifying that with a remake. What else is this website missing?

Had a feeling that's what you saw. Here's this:
karzoug.info/srd/Pathfinder/Traits/CouncilofThieves.htm

>Carnid Savage

Perfect, thanks.

>Child of Infamy
Rename "Lives for Drama." Good trait for anyone with a background in community theatre or theatrically inclined parents. Very fitting for this campaign, really.

>Conspiracy Hunter
I don't really need to change this, frankly, it's good as is.

>Diabolist Raised
Cheliax is still one of the main two nations with influence at Point Pleasant, so this can stay mostly the same, just shift it from being specifically vs Westcrown nobility to high ranking members of the Chelaxian government. Also create a "Child of Freedom" trait to be the Andoran equivalent, basically the same only for the Andoran government and a +1 on saving throws vs geas and compulsion effects like Zone of Truth.

>Infernal Bastard
Stricken from the record like the relic it is.

>Shadow Child
Add that if your character has low light vision it gets upgraded to darkvision of an equivalent range.

>Pathfinder's Exile
Rename "Child of Adventure." It's from your parents or a benefactor now.

>Westcrown Firebrand
Pretty much works.
