Is there a perk that specifically lets me change who's in control when two other people are sharing a body, or is that the kind of thing I'd have to fanwank finding on my own or through a magic system?
So, can you buy a first gen tree ship in the Slice of Life version?
Gonna need to delete this one
I did that in one of my older Chains. I was her Blood.
>So, can you buy a first gen tree ship in the Slice of Life version?
Yes
Tenchi Muyo is a shitty harem anime, and I'm not going to jump it just for a magical cat rabbit tree ship city thing.
Diablo III jump when?
Is it ever okay for a Jumper to meet another Jumper?
Hey Val, does Pool of Tranquility from the Twintail jump permanently change the user or just grant transformation modes?
Also is it possible to buy multiple WhateverGears?
Has anyone posted the Sliders thing where heads Splode or is that too graphic for a blue board. Also where can I get rad Psychic Powers to be able to make heads Splode?
Also also, take a funny video youtube.com
Pic Barely Related
okay
Permanent change.
Yes.
I mean you are, of course, entitled to your opinion of why you would avoid a setting. It is a single player game, most times.
Well, to shill a jump, have you considered a City Ship from Stargate Atlantis?
I've decided to start up a rollchain of a benefactor unleashing a wizard on the multiverse to see what happens. If you don't mind, could you throw me eight jumps towards that end?

What are your thoughts on perks as items (e.g. "these ancient scrolls contain the secrets needed to [make or perform item or technique]")?
>rolls dice.

I'm collecting split personalities for purely innocent and non-shenanigans reasons. So far I've got:
>Super Soldier from Gundam 00
>Ryougi from Kara no Kyoukai
>Intern perkline from Ex-Aid
So that's four minds in one body, with mind partitioning so they can all think at once. Which ones am I missing?
Obvious 40k answer, but even weak psykers pack some huge telekinetic power, although you may have to spend some time concentrating at lower levels. Starcraft Ghosts of a higher level can generate huge shockwaves and more minor 'head asplode' meltdowns, although Kerrigan managed to turn a man into a living bomb in Primal Zerg form.
>wizard
Immediate suggestion is Magicka if you want the best wizards.
What jumps serve as the best standalone CYOAs?
Check out the multiplayer supplement. It's on the drive here: drive.google.com
... wat?
Is it possible to get a DYN Freak version of Chiyo from Ane Naru Mono by taking the import option and having the companion become a god and choose the custom fragment of Shub-Niggurath and have her be like Chiyo?
Also how powerful is Shub-Niggurath in comparison to the other Outer Gods? I know that Yog, but is she more powerful than Nyarlathotep?
Brunestrud and Nanaya from Tsukuhime
Added. Tuskihime has a split personality companion for student and ancestor options if that helps.
Thank you, but I'm looking for magical jumps to start with.
I take the 304 because it seems better as a tech upgrade/import base, other than being a city with good ftl what does the city ship have going for it?
Nigga if you're Shub-Niggurath you can probably make a cute girl mode eventually. With enough trial and error. After getting all the goat parts out of the way. Maybe also ask your consort Say-tyr for advice
Also, there is literally no info on DYN/Demonbane Shub.
Is pretty nice, isn't she? It's certainly possible.
No idea. I don't think Shub ever shows up that much. Certainly not in the demonbane continuity.
Sad
The DYN jump says we can't be one of the Elder Gods from Demonbane but can we just be an Elder God? Their minds aren't quite as alien so it would be less of a destruction of jumper's identity.
Jump 461: Homeworld - Deserts of Kharak
>Queen of Cups: A natural counselor and healer, one whose relaxed presence seems to embody deep love and spirituality.
>Age: 32
>Location: Kharak, 1106
Well, it's slightly better than Arrakis. No sandworms here.
>Identity: Kiith S'jet
>Drawbacks: (+600) Operation Skaal Brii
Apparently, there was a mission to retrieve the Guidestone some years before the game itself. I'll have to plan a way to make that expedition successful, because if not, I've failed these people and failed my chain.
>Scientific Aptitude (Free, S'jet)
>Fortune Favours the Bold (1400, S'jet)
>Inspired Advancement (1100, S'jet)
>Magpie (900, S'jet)
>Baserunner (One free)
Well, it doesn't hurt to have a baserunner. Wheels are always good, though, but this isn't a combatant. This is meant for support - field repair, jamming, unit hacking, and placing sensor nets as needed.
>Super Carrier (0)
Aaaand there goes the rest of my points. But that's okay, because it gives me a carrier that is bigger and badder than should even EXIST in this era, and I'm taking THAT to find the Guidestone. Arm it with cruise missiles, four assault railguns and four heavy railguns, set it up so it can launch turret emplacements, buy some artifacts like an H.R.A.S. targeting system as well as grabbing super-hardened EMR shielding, a fixed scalar matter compressor, and a meson stabilizer and then focus my production on heavy front-liners with railguns for maximum effectiveness. Artillery? Indirect fire? Screw that, just fuck that sand dune and everything on it.
Of all the things that could possibly happen, surviving a trip to the equatorial belt was not one that people expected. With the proper tools, it's entirely possible, and with the proper measures, dealing with the heat is indeed possible. Seventy degrees centigrade is nothing to a starship-grade heatsink, and that was just one among a truly vast number of artifacts that were unearthed during the expedition.
Why would this option destroy your identity?
How is Bee?
Returning with so many artifacts that it was necessary to manufacture a whole fleet of sandcrawlers just to transport them back? Well, that may be due in part to the Kushan exploring such wrecks a bit more properly than just breaking them apart with explosives. Encounter suits with integrated cooling were designed and distributed early on, in the eighteen month expedition.
Either way, however, the primary source of issues during my time here didn't involve the expedition. It involved dealing with everything else that came as a result. The fact that life here began out there, and the path home was on the Guidestone. The fact that it was near the galactic core, not on the far end of one of the galactic arms. And just what an expedition would require if it was to go there.
While I help set things up appropriately in that respect among my fellow Kiith, I'm taking other measures as well. Missile defense platforms, hidden under the dunes in the deep desert, designed to trigger in the event of hostile attack on Kharak. Holographic nets to make it look as though any attack on the planet was successful. Pushing their science carefully in certain ways during my time here, to ensure that they have the means to defend themselves more adequately when the time comes.
Ten years really isn't enough to make all of the preparations that I want to make, not really. But I have enough backup measures and technological specs squirreled away in the right places that should ensure that the Exile fleet will be far better equipped than it otherwise would have been.
Actually... come to think of it, the Exile fleet that I worked alongside in my distant past seemed to be better than I thought they'd be, weren't they? And... I don't actually remember Kharak burning, just expecting it to be and not wanting to look.
Wait, did I accidentally create a stable time loop again?
He's good.
So I can just fanwank it where she is stronger the Nya but weaker than Yog, since I read somewhere that in comparison with the other Outer Gods, he is considered the weakest of them, but more intelligent.
You go from jumper who is probably just an unnaturally smart human to a being so vast that conventional logic stops functioning. What goes in isn't necessarily what comes out. From what I know of Elder Gods however they're often only alien to humans due to how vastly beyond them they are rather than due to being hellish abominations.
Exalted the Lunars with the drop-in capstone and capstone boosted (iirc). Should let you have up to 5 split personalities of yourself and also split personalities of everyone you've ever killed.
Astral Layers from Psychonauts, gives you an internal personality based around who you were, one for every jump you've done, that can fix up your head and do mental maintenance for you.
>Bee larva being nourished by royal jelly
Well, either way you're getting a lifespan and memories that have...well, trillions of years worth of them at least. If you're worried about your identity in that way, either is going to fuck with you totally.
Eh, let's go with equal to Nya at most. I haven't ever seen anything about Nyarlathotep being the weakest of them.
Yeah but if it's just infinitely better version of human it's easier to deal with OMGWTFISTHISTHING.
>easier to deal with OMGWTFISTHISTHING.
than
easier to deal with than OMGWTFISTHISTHING.
Sure, I’ll go with that. Beside, even if she’s just as strong as Nya, the only beings that I can see being a threat to her in the entire jumpchain (aside from the authors and omnipotent characters) are the DC Archangels, Witches of Umineko, and the Hadou/Gadou Gods. And that’s if I don’t just give her the Shining Trapezohedron to boast her ludicrous power to even more insane heights.
Please introduce him to Vegemite when you two meet next time
Shields in Stargate tend to have a bit of bleedthrough, don't handle big kinetic impacts (like getting rammed by an enemy ship) very well at all, and certain weapons can pierce them. City Ship shields don't have those problems as long as you've got enough power to run them (using three full ZPMs, Atlantis's shields held back the ocean above it for just over ten thousand years). The shields can also selectively allow your own ships (and weapons) to pass through, or be retuned to act as a cloaking device instead, even in atmosphere.
The sensors on a City Ship are good enough to detect ships in FTL hundreds or even thousands of lightyears away (though at the longer ranges it's pretty much "there's something in FTL") and can give you a view of ships in the same star system as if you were pretty much next to them.
The drone missile weapon systems on a City Ship are... well it's basically a Macross Missile Massacre, except you can choose to have the drones overpenetrate instead of explode - less damage, but if you're facing a swarm of smaller opponents it means each drone can take out multiple targets before expiring.
The FTL is good enough to get from Avalon (our galaxy) to Pegasus in hours if you don't mind redlining it, or about 1 MLY/hour.
They're designed to act as the hubs of an interstellar civilization, so they've got simply massive amounts of computing power and data storage capacity - feel free to install an AI or hundred.
And of course it's literally the size of a city.
If they still made chocolate vegemite, you can bet I'd be sending him some for valentines.
Come to think of it, how many jumps have viable intergalactic travel?
But still enough to overwhelm. It's like saying getting hit by a nuclear explosion is less damaging than being hit by a supernova. True, but ultimately irrelevant.
Both of these are good, although sadly it looks like these will have a bit of overlap with the Gundm 00 personality especially if I get the psycho "upgrade".
That looks good, although that then raises the idea of who the hell I'd pick for those extra personalities.
Jumpers can tank nukes earlier in their chains than they can tank supernovas.
Majikoi has two with War and Peace
This case it's more like two slightly different variations of a supernova. Both are just as strong, one is just a different colour.
You mean one is INFINITE COLOUR
... I want to say not many, but it depends how you define it. Some magic systems don't place a spatial range limit on teleporting, for example.
I believe he's asking if any Jumps in particular shine as CYOAs that are just as fun on their own rather than being more fun in the context of a chain.
Hey what's some good shit to convert monsters to equipment through magical means or otherwise, i need it for reasons
>chocolate vegemite
It's good that they ended that heresy Victorian
Oh. First one that comes to mind is Nintendogs+Cats by Stupid_Dog.
Chocolate Vegemite? That... just sounds wrong. (Though I guess maybe it could work, come to think of it? Not sure...)
all of y'all niggas have anime waifus. what about western waifus? they're pretty cool too
Like?
It's more like salted caramel coated in chocolate, really. Looks gross but man was it tasty. Not made anymore though.
The only western waifu as cool as mine would have to come from a Tarantino film.
What about real life waifus? Those are even cooler.
do y'all have western waifus? all I seem to see is either anime or overwatch these days when talking about waifus.
Have an Aussie waifu here.
tough business homie.
Huh, interesting.
What exactly counts as 'western' in this case?
Anything not Anime or Overwatch
What if it's from a japanese RPG?
Where does Avatar fall on this scale?
I don't have waifus. That's weird.
Wonder Woman will tie your ass up.
If only...
Okay there's a start
I was fond of Raven on Teen Titans when I was a kid. Haven't ever done a full watch through of the series, though, so take that with a grain of salt.
Power Girl hits my buttons for short haired blonde girls who can fly.
It's Western. So it gets a pass.
I've got Princess Bubblegum, Meenah Peixes, Squigly, Templar Assassin, Pearl, Lulu, Bitch, and Eleanor.
>Bitch
Hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on...
Bitch?
Alright.
The one from Worm, probably.
Oh yeah, shit, I guess I should've referred to her Rachel. I'm not the greatest.
Also what Eleanor are we talking?
>Rachel
No bitch is a better name for her, you should have her change it to bitch.
...
Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite. The fun loving version of her before she becomes a world-weary asshole.
VEGA, BT-7274 and 032-Mendicant Bias.
Don't judge me.
>magic must defeat magic (Jackie Chan adventures)
>Your spells and supernatural abilities cannot be fought off by mundane methods. Only things that are supernatural in nature can stop them.
What exactly qualifies as MUNDANE?
Everything that isn't magic, or do other superpowers, psionics, Ki etc. get a pass?
>Magic fire can't be defeated by normal water?
>Waterbenders are helpless?
Eleanor > Ellizabeth.
>Question for Myrmidont. In Eclipse Phase, you can purchase a Ego Bridge for 200cp which is noted to be special because it can transfer jumper's consciousness as well. However, everyone receives the free perk Resleeving, which lets you do that anyway. What's the point of the special mention, then?
Resleeving lets you move from body to body.
Forking lets you create copies of yourself in a computer.
However, the Ego Bridge allows you to do all the normal functions of an Ego Bridge - cutting/pasting, copying/pasting, digitizing, erasing and psychosurgical editing - on beings who don't have your perks.
Given it explicitly says supernatural in the same sentence you quoted, I'd imagine superpowers, psionics, ki and so on all bypass this.
Seriously dude, that was a dumbass moment right there.
Anything that is supernatural would work. So no, it doesn't need to be magic.
What kind of monster alt-forms have your jumpers acquired over their chains? What are your favorites?
Awesome, thanks for answering.
...Now all I have to do is decide if I want to take Muse-ic to my ears. Ordinarily it wouldn't be a huge deal.
But.
My Muse is an imported 032-Mendicant Bias. Who is going to be slotted into a Computronium. And most likely in a drone controller and hacking configuration.
This could be a bad idea.
The duplication shelf.
It needs a way to unstick the contents. Like sliding a solid object to displace a current item, so there is no space for the stuck item to be. Then leave the new item occupying the old ones place long enough for it to stick.
Do not want a cracked cell phone messing up the feng shui eternity.
>all that
Oh.
Well then. Good luck with that.
Nope. Not everything extraordinary is Magic.
Most generic superpowers shouldn't work.
Those are super science. Like how X-men super powers can be spliced and cloned and have genetic tells, and Superman is not invulnerable to magic, because his powers are something other than magic.
Hey retard. Read the rest of the perk.
