Jumpers! Have you ever made a serious error but kept going anyways?

Sorry, I had to step away for a bit to take care of some work.

I don't know. I have a small idea of how to do the next set, but I am not making any claims. Anyone who wants to make any super sentai jumps is free to.

I initially did this since the Invader abilities are somewhat more impressive than those of the sentai (it's to be expected), but I have been working on a few changes to make the background more representative of the kaijin.

I'm working on the items, companions and drawbacks right now.

Coming to this place would be a start.

My current lack of writefagging is because I killed the baddy who was after me, explicitly 'until she dies' and I've had a hell of a time putting together the follow up of the two people who would be most effected by her death. Ryuma really didn't expect Nue to convert the entire moon into Life Fibers...

I'll take 'almost every chain I've done ever' for 300 choice points.

Somewhat related, a thought has occurred to me. Considering the scale and ridiculous number of jumps we have now, it kinda feels like an exercise in insanity to do all of them. How many jumps do you guys do in a chain these days? All, or some? Just settings you know or like, or whatever strikes your fancy? High power all day every day, mostly street things, or somewhere inbetween?

Everyone hates me, I feel compelled to be a sort of a magpie, and mutants are way more dangerous than before. ...fine. I see how it is. But I'll show you. I'll show you all! ...okay maybe I won't. But it's the thought that counts? At least I'm skilled enough to repair my own damn gear rather than give up any to those greedy as fuck settlements. How dare they! I'm here minding my own business, trying to make a living like everyone else, and the times they don't drive me out they're price-gouging me! I was supposed to be popular, damn it! ...and I don't mean popular with the roaming mutants because holy shit get away from me you unclean filth. I swear I will burn and electrocute the lot of you, and shoot what doesn't survive the first salvo. Get the fuck away. Seriously.

Due to what I took, it's going to kind of be plain jade. Scour things, grab Artifacts from the field, look it over, upgrade equipment, and scream obscenities at the filthy mutants while looking over the Sensen technology, because what could possibly go wrong with that.

The Judge Dredd jump is one massive error for me.

>How many jumps do you guys do in a chain these days?
I can quit any time I want!

I run a primary chain where the jumper goes to EVERY world, but I also write a few smaller side chains based on creating a certain character of fulfilling particular criteria. Like a villain chain or a no supernatural powers/super science chain.

How does one survive Blame as a first jump?
Wouldn't a jumper die of thirst or hunger long before finding anything interesting, let alone nourishment?

?

I usually only make builds for Jumps I am at least semi-familiar with the setting of. Which is maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the drive.

Be a robot

If you could only take a single canon character as Companion in your entire Chain and everyone else had to be OCs, who would you choose?

So, what would you say are the "must get" options for a New Vegas jump? What types of benefits are there for someone who has mostly done fantasy jumps before hand?

Jumpers! Have you ever brought a trap along for the ride? Doing "things" with them isn't gay at all, I promise!

Do I have to take a canon character? The steampunker from Terraria is currently the only 'canon' companions I have. So, I guess that works out.

Does Sayo Yasuda count?

So what can you do with the Mysterious Cells in Final Fantasy 7? I actually can't think of a use for them.

When I'm finished with my current batch of stuff, I'm going to do a proper chain with a defined theme. How many I jump will depend on how the writing pans out.

A question about the STALKER jump - the location rolls make me think it's set in Roadside Picnic, but many of the items and perks make me think it's set in the video games. Which one is it?

>How does one survive Blame as a first jump?
Waifu the girl in your pick, nothing short of Killy would be dumb enough to go after you.

"I'll just watch netflix for a couple episodes, and then I'll get right to work on writing!". It's been almost a year.

Does Desire count?

I basically make it like an anime. Jumps I like and are interested in get pages of writing. Imbetween those I get jumps like Sims 3 which are filler and I dedicate about half a page to at most

One of the Deredachis (the yandere one) from Hero BBS, or maybe a Sekirei.

Yeah!

Probably Seryu, since I always end up taking her eventually no matter the focus/morality of my chain at the time.

What're some jumps where there's a large number of total asshole gods? Looking to charge up All-Black the Necrosword.

I like the Kings stuff, but I am also the kind of person who picked up Elvis-ness from Space Station 13. Honestly it's just some fun stuff. The courier duster is an amazing buy too.

In canon they were used to create super soldiers. That said, the super solders were also unstable; either physically or mentally.

If a Jumper is one for genetics and/or biological mad science though its pretty much a ready strain of ultra virus.

>Deredachis (the yandere one)
Neither of those is canon.

I brought along a double reverse trap once.

>He didn't become the trap
Jumpers! Have you ever met someone with terrible taste?

>Probably Seryu
Fans of Akame Ga Kill consider that grounds for lynching

People who don't like Seryu aren't true fans of Akame ga Kill.

A question.

There are plenty of ways to create life, but what's the best way to give your creations inherent skills and magical powers? Plain old golems and robots aren't good enough for my needs.

GACHA RATE UPS ARE A LIE

Ereshkigal is better

Why where they added in the first place?

Greek Myth for sure. I usually spring Prometheus when I get there. Supernatural as well. Those are the ones that come immediately to mind.

We do have a setting called 'the gods are bastards" but from what I can tell it really isn't their fault.

Death of the Endless.

Papa Bones would be pretty fun to hang out with, after the problem of running a kingdom and pretending to be a skeleman is over. Letting him actually go back to human form would probably be appreciated, and he clearly likes fantasy games, which are the jumps I tend to go to.

> So, what would you say are the "must get" options for a New Vegas jump?
I don't really think you can go wrong with buying the Motel, honestly. Having a place to sleep, which also provides a small amount of income and gives you quirky NPCs who give you tasks with small rewards, all following you from world to world, is pretty great for 200CP.

...that's not a bad approach, actually.

I'm taking notes.

This is like arguing between cola and diet cola, there isnt that much of a difference

No. I am the trap.

Shiiieeeeeet. Wrong guy.

Wait, I'm retarded. I thought it wasn't supposed to be canon.

Mhhh... Probably Uzume from Sekirei or Jalter from fate.

They're OCs based off of one of the stories in the series. There are serious liberties taken with his interpretation that were added in because "he couldn't stop his friend from adding them."

Does someone have a list of appearance/beauty perks?

If not anyone have any good recommendations?

I invariably end up with Power Girl, so...

Or, actually, does Gaia from Evo count?

Just saying she does not paint the most likable image. I think the only one who gets more flak is Honest and his kid. Everyone else is to some degree likable imo

I'll have you know that I am a fan of Akame Ga Kill and Seryu is awesome.

Generic Isekai lets you make Skillbooks as a Cheat. Put an ability into skill form, and have them read the book. They'll start off weak as shit in it, but can improve over time. Plus, you can get skills from others, too.

First that comes to mind is "Amazing Chest Ahead" from Dark Souls 1

I wonder if the maker of the R6 jump had the same friend add the patch notes perk into the jump.

There's the things from Prey. I forget what they are called out of and, but they are direct skill implantations. They probably have some limitations they don't work for what you want but they are definitely some of the best for mundane skills.

Percy Jackson. Kinda.

The greek gods have gotten SLIGHTY better since antiquity, they help save the world from the titans and they do seem to care about their demigods kids at least a little bit, but they're still a bunch of petty, scheming, spiteful, egotistical, assholes. Plus at least two other pantheons exist so the world shouldn't be too fucked up if you kill them all.

Or you could murder all the titans since absolutely no one would miss them.

Nah, it was his friend who couldn't stop him from adding them.

Entirely a matter of personal opinion. Almost all the characters have flaws of one kind or another, though not all the flaws get much focus, which is to the series credit.

I like Seryu because she's definitely one of the more interesting characters the series puts forth, especially with her being a nighmarishly exaggerated form of a hero of justice kind of character, and that her backstory is at least fairly sympathetic given how unaware she really is, even if her actions that result from her reasons are entirely reprehensible.

It doesn't hurt that she has easily some of the coolest weapons and teigu in the series, with a dozen or so different awesome gadgets. Add in her switching constantly between being adorably cute and incredibly entertaining when she goes totally bonkers, and I don't think it's hard to like her.

That said, if you're one of those waifufags, especially for Sheele, I can see why she's hateable. Sheele is totally the worst character in the series though. Least sympathetic and least backstory given she's just there to be cute and get killed off.

How difficult would surviving in a dark souls/demon souls world be, if it was the first jump, and you had 0 CP to spend?

Jumps with powers, objects, and abilities that can be shared

I will admit though Seryu is at some parts likable but I would say only when interacting with Esdeath.

Everything else about her strikes me as unappealing. Single-minded devotion to an morally wrong ideology without outside motivation or admiting it's fault. Her skill is mostly not her own as she got her skill from augmentation and fights using a minion. But the part that bugs me most about her is the mask she puts up, she acts innocent and nice but hides it behind a mask of sadism. Anyone of these things alone is fine. But together it makes me dislike her.

Immediate death.

>but hides it behind a mask of sadism
But uses it as a mask to hide her inner sadism. My bad

Pretty much impossible, unless you wank your current self int oblivion. That or hide like a bitch. Though I can't remember if one of the Dark Souls gives you access to the canon revival mechanic. That might help you, slightly.

No, not immediate, more like, extremely painfully over the course of about two minutes.

Clone your own Jenova and have her as a companion in worm?

Well, most of the Percy Jackson gods aren't bad enough to kill. I think. Maybe when they are first introduced but they end up being more decent. Oh and Hestia a best.

No Seryu is a great character. Also she was the favorite character of the artist of the series. Though his favorite teigu seem to be Koro and second being Incursio, and his twitter avatar is literally Koro wearing Incursio.
She's insane, like half of the characters from the series are insane. She really is a nice girl, she's also super into killing people, and was brought up to admire justice, she just takes it over the top and uses it to justify her murdering. Though to her point of view she's not justifying anything, she thinks she's right to do what she does.

>That said, if you're one of those waifufags, especially for Sheele, I can see why she's hateable. Sheele is totally the worst character in the series though. Least sympathetic and least backstory given she's just there to be cute and get killed off.
Ehh, I was indifferent to Sheele. Like I said above I don't like her for a combination of traits there is no one point I can look to and say I dislike her for this

If you're not already a badass fighter IRL or at least disciplined and fit enough to become one if you got some proper training your most likely fates are probably either an early death or achieving literally nothing during your decade.

>Main Chain
Fate/Zero. I mistakenly thought that everyone would adhere to the rules of the tournament. That the masters involved were sane, honorable people. I was wrong. And leaving things half-finished wasn't an option at that point.

Mad dogs get put down.

>Indulgence Chain
Not yet, but I just started. There's still plenty of time.

Oh man, that's a hard one. And I /like/ OC Companions.
If it was me, personally, going I'd probably go with either Raven from Teen Titans, Bea from Night in the Woods, or Marceline from Adventure Time. Probably end up on Marceline. She seems like she would make the best long-term Companion for a Chain. I've got a type. So sue me.

If you get a little inventive with Kamen Rider tech, you could give them all kinds of things. Just with the knowledge of how to make Core Medals and Switches alone you could do so much. Alternatively, Virtue Gems from Path of Exil, but there's some major kinks to work out if you decide to use those.

So which should I go to next?

Matrix
Konosuba
Mcu
Injustice
Have a samurai gril as payment for your time.

I did this once with Hunter S. Thompson.
It wasn't pretty.
I couldn't keep up with him and burned out permanently.
Would do it again.

I feel like there were a lot of characters in that series that were there just to be killed off.

Yes, but not Astolfo, because Astolfo is trash. But yeah, traps are in general pretty cute.

I think a lot of that stems from not really understanding the character? Seryu isn't really doing it out of malice. She's quite literally insane.

Think of her as like a mirror of Sheele. They're both broken from birth or a very young age, Sheele with her being a sociopath or something and Seryu with having her sense of justice twisted by her father's death. But where Sheele fell in with Night Raid, who do use her combat skills for their goals but also care about her, Seryu fell in with Ogre, who pretended to be nice while twisting her even further into a tool for the empire.

Seryu cannot comprehend their being a fault in her ideology because she just doesn't have the mental capacity or maturity to understand that. She's still a child mentally and everyone she's met that realised that has only made use of it to make her even more insane, because it works to their purposes. She doesn't pretend to be nice out of evil sadism, that genuinely is who she is against anyone she doesn't think is a criminal. She isn't ignoring the crimes of the empire out of hypocrisy and purposeful intent, it's just that she cannot comprehend people like Ogre or Esdeath being criminals in that way. It's like making yourself believe that orange is actually blue.

Which makes her a way scarier sort of monster I think and certainly capable of some horrific stuff, but I don't think it means she's faking anything.

And of course, I think complaining about skill is just silly when almost every character in the series is quite happy and eager to use dirty tricks to win. The heroes themselves, aside from Tatsumi and Wave, have no trouble poisoning people, killing them in front of their own kids, sneak attacks and worse.

>Konosuba
This, if your taste in pics is anything to go by. Maybe Injustice so you can slap around everyone who is acting dumb.

I already do all-OCs. I have a weird complex about the possibility of the work of fiction they're from existing in another setting, and the people in that setting getting all weird about it.

Konosuba.

I brought along a reverse trap, does that count?

you take that back you son of a bitch

No contest.

Could we import a mount in the Bretonnia jump to give it Bretonnian warhorse, pegasus, or hippogryph alt form?

OC or do we have a Rail Wars! jump?

I don't know about Demon Souls, but for Dark Souls you'd likely go Hollow before the ten years are up, since you start as Undead.
Unless you have a Solaire-tier obsession that you can never achieve.
Without an obsession to keep you chugging along, you will lose your way and go insane.
If you ever manage to succeed in your obsession, you'll go insane from having nothing left to accomplish.

Eh, I feel that out of the main good guys (Night Raid) and the main bad guys (Honest, Esdeath, Jaegars, Emperor and Syura), most of them were good about this. Sheele is the only one that died too quick, as Bulatt had a big effect on other characters in his short time. There's plenty of short lived villains (Three Beasts, Wild Hunt, Devas, etc) but most of the main characters weren't pretty much misery bait like Sheele was.

Eh...nah, not really into that.

Valeria, what happens if someone tried to remove or damage Infinite colors? Like if someone tried to physically pry it off my eye socket. Is it actually a physically thing?

>OC

OC and I'm sorry user we don't have a rail wars jump.

It's worth noting that we never see anything in the story that's even close to Kamidachi's level.

Absolutely disgusting.

I think it's more just a representation of the power and that anyone who could actually manage to take it out was working more on a spiritual level anyway.

Kamidachi a shit.

T R A S H. He's the worst trap waifu. He's got stupid hair, his personality is intolerable, his behavior isn't cute in the slightest, and there isn't even any good porn of him. The only reason anyone likes him is because F/GO is a big fad right now, so it reaches a large untapped audience for traps who don't know any better than to imprint on him, then shitty artists on Patreon draw a thousand pics of him to take advantage of that, and it creates this artificially-inflated popularity.

Don't worry Bobby, someone will make it one day.

Jake is best bro!

Any writing tips for someone running Creative Mode?

If someone actually did that, would I lose that power?

Go home
