In your experience, how do local-store tournaments and game days treat customised models? A quick web search turned up 'there are no set rules' so every tournament's different, want to see what your experiences have been. It'd be lame to have to just go vanilla with things as I don't have a crew to play with as yet.

This is the game that 40k needs.

I'm starting to think that GW purposely holds off making this game. Strategy games support tabletop player populations rather than taking them away, EC was a license money rip off and deathwing is in a niche setting. If you had an actually good 40k game that is not strategy, you would probably get a ton of people giving up on collecting expensive armies and bothering to find people to play with.
