Order of the Stick #1112

Order of the Stick #1112
"And Maybe a Change of Shoes"

Who was she?

from the looks of it one of the earth cultists from the godsmoot

I dunno

>durkula plot is still happening
Jesus I'd rather Tarquin come back at this point.

this comic isn't half as good as I remember it being.

>cuts out the punchline

Where's Thog when we really need him?

thog

>punchline
I get what he was going for, but 'poncho' doesn't really ignite your imagination. If it was better written I would keep it in.

there's a punch line?

First try. How'd I do?

>notice a fuckup literally one second after posting

Second bubble, fourth panel is supposed to be "this me titan thingy"

Thog.

It's more a poncho line. Get it?

ohhh

Saucier version of . I couldn't decide between the two.

Good stuff. I like how nonsensical some of the lines sound.

Eh, fuck it. Bump.

Did she just ask Durkula on a date?

...

These boring strips were fine when it looked like Rich was going to update regularly, now it's just a pain again.

Good for him, she's drop dead gorgeous.

Get out, Carlos.

I like to imagine that if I was a vampire's headmate, I would be down for pretty much whatever, as well.

Mostly because I would have somebody to talk to who wouldn't ever be able to leave.

You know, this is the first time i've seen an oots thread on Veeky Forums and where I've actually read the comics. Anyway, how many strips away from the end do you guys figure we are? 200? 300? 500?

1112

The only winning move was not to play

by the pacing of it, 500+

>You know, this is the first time i've seen an oots thread on Veeky Forums
We have them intermittently depending on Rich's output. Mostly to bitch about how slow the comic is and how were STILL in the B plot and etc etc.

How the heck does this shit heap of a comic still exist?

So how long have you guys been reading?
I caught up right when Miko fell.
I've been reading this shit since middle school and I'm now almost 25 what the fuck am I doing with my life.

I think they were still at the first dungeon when I started reading it.

What are the odds that the box of freezing saves the day?

>You are nothing
>lower than roaches

Yup, sounds like a workplace seminar to me.

hmmm, from 2006 or so?

during the break after the fall of azure city
i was in fucking high school, jesus christ

Literally everything from "We met tarquin" to that plot's end was top tier in terms of both content and pacing.

You can bitch about the prolonged "We gotta find the gate" sequence, but there was some goddamn payoff, leave Tarq out of this.

Laughs were had. Thanks, user

yeah the pace is fucking glacial but the blood in the family arc was incredible
ill give this arc the same change

I've been reading on and off since the beginning. It's not relevant since she skipped town, but I've lost a 5$ bet with an old friend.

You see, Homestuck ended first.

[spoilers]Well obviously, Homestuck ended years ago, r-right?[/spoiler]

Just last year. Hiveswap's in production, though.

Same point.

This comic is the only thing that makes me feel old

Am I missing something?
It seems like this strip is utterly irrelevant to the story, and takes 10 panels to tell maybe 2 jokes. Durkon is still fighting Durkula, but we already knew that.

I don't understand what you're so intrigued about, user. That's what most of OotS strips are like.

I think it's going to be relevant down the road. I don't know what part of that flashback is supposed to be important, but Durkon's face in panel 6 makes it look like he's confused about Durkula not understanding something

I started reading when they ran into the goblin kids in the first dungeon.

That 's not true.

We've just learned that Durkon is an abnormal host, and is the only one of the vampires who is still facing internal resistance (when that resistance even happens).

This means Rich is, for whatever reason, explicitly eliminating the possibility that any of the other hosts are going to be able to do something, in comparison to Durkon.

I think this means Original-Durkon's still in the game.

Is anyone else concerned this section's gonna be a huge anticlimax?

>DURKON:

Roy! I'm attacking you in the dungeon exactly as I said I would!

>ROY:

But we're ready because we scryed you already

>THEY FLAIL AT EACH OTHER FOR 20 STRIPS AND HAVE THE EXACT SAME FIGHT WE ALREADY SAW

ENDING A:
We killed all the vampires! Now lets go kill Xykon
>yaaaaaaaaay

ENDING B:
>DURKON

BUT YOU'RE TOO LATE ROY, IT WAS ALL A RUSE!

>Vote happens, it's a yes. An asspull postpones it.
>ROY:

Come on you guys, we have to hurry and kill Xykon on a timer now!
