Order of the Valorous Heart. Looks like we're a bunch of masochists. Next we need a Purpose for our founding!

Rolled 8 (1d10)
Standing Force, we were founded to provide spiritual guidance to a planet, system, or sector. Next, let's see what our flaw is!

dice!
An Eye for an Eye. There are no cowards in this order, we fight to the last woman!
Next, we need a demeanor.
Rolled 6 (1d10)
rollan. Makes perfect sense that an order striving to pay penance would refuse to retreat even in the face of certain death.
See, But Don't Be Seen. So we move through stealth and cover to get the drop on our foes, but once battle is joined, we are utterly unrelenting.
Let's get a figure of legend in here!
Roll!
Rolled 38 (1d100)
Woops, forgot the actual roll!
A Canoness Superior is our hero! Let's find out what she did to earn such an honor!
Rolled 69 (1d100)
The foul taint of Slaanesh corrupts your roll! Perhaps a fell omen for our order?
Our Canoness Superior led an attack against an Eldar Craftworld, boarding it (presumably with stealth and guile) and inflicting grievous casualties on the hated xenos. The denizens of this craftworld despise us to this day.
What is our homeworld?

Our's is a temperate civilized world, not dissimilar to ancient Terra. The question remains, how much to we interfered with the worlds functions and affairs?
Rolled 1 (1d10)
The only function of politicians is to ensure we have enough fuel and ammunition to shield the Emperor's people and spread the Emperor's word.
Indeed, sister! The Sisters Militant are called to the holy art of war, not politics!
How is our order organized?
Rolled 1 (1d10)
Standard organization, we adhere to the organization doctrines of the original Daughters of the Emperor. What is our favored strategy?
Rolled 7 (1d10)
Nice eights, rollum.
Uhhhh, I'm not sure how CAS and stealth mix. Maybe encircle the enemy with snipers, bomb them, and then pick off the survivors as they scatter?
Stealth bombers?
We strike from the skies! We have no Order Divergence, so what is our method of worshiping He Who Sits Upon The Golden Throne?
That could be interpreted as a heavy reliance on Seraphim and maybe Avengers, with Dominions and Battle Sisters on the ground being sneaky scouts and spotters.
So basically, they scout out the enemy with ground troops, pound them into the dirt with air support, and then move in to clean up what's left from the ground? I can get behind that.
Rolled 5 (1d10)
Rollan for belief.
Honour those Gone Before, we place a high priority on experience, looking to the wisest among us for guidance in these dark times.
What is the current strength of our order?
This makes a lot of sense - stealthy scouts don't stay stealthy and alive by zeal alone.
Rolled 1 (1d10)
Roll!
Shit I guess we need all the air support we can get.
We did assault a craftworld with a no retreats doctrine.
The CAS and stealth and no politicians thing could be a direct result of out strength.
Indeed! Though I suspect many of our sisters from other orders view us as cowardly. Surely our results will have to speak for themselves!
Alas, we are endangered! Our numbers dwindle more and more with each passing year! Of course, the blood of martyrs is the seed of the Imperium, so it matters not! Who are our allies?
Rolled 28 (1d100)

We share a close bond with another Order! Roll a D12 to determine which one!
Rolled 11 (1d12)
We are close allies with the Order of the Pointed Word!

Their fast attack tactics make them natural companions to our air-based assaults. Worthy friends indeed!
Who are our order's enemies?
For reference, I was running with the following table for that roll:
1: Ebon Chalice
2: Valorous Heart
3: Argent Shroud
4: Our Martyred Lady
5: Bloody Rose
6: Sacred Rose
7: Armored Heart (1d4chan.org
8: Guiding Light (1d4chan.org

Roll
So so far, we've got a pack of utter fucking lunatics who appear from the sky, probably air dropping, then refuse to retreat under any circumstances until there's a field of smoking rubble several kilometres across. Who are best mates with a pack of more lunatics on murderbikes.
Jesus.
Sister, restrain yourself! She is walking the path of redemption, and has no need for your distracting ministrations! I knew that was a bad omen...
And we're stealthy too. Don't forget that.
The foul greenskins are our hated foe! Their taint must be ruthlessly purged from the galaxy!
I have some thoughts for this order, give me a sec to type them up right quick.
>stealthy
Of course. Although in this case, stealth probably means a sentry turning to find 300 sisters in full battle dress directly behind him, having not been there two seconds ago, holding a finger to their lips, going 'shhh' and him being too terrified to say a damn word.
...
I'm gonna get her heated with my most trusted companion.
I call it my "Profit Factor"
Probably more like what happens to people on the receiving end of an A-10 run, which is that the sentry might just hear some engine rumble before him, his buddies, the vehicle nearby, and most of the building they're guarding all disintegrate in a cloud of large-caliber bolt shells.
Alright, so what do you guys think of this?
>Order of the Blinded Martyr
Not stealthy per se, but attack under adverse conditions that make their advance difficult to spot until its too late, such as night attacks, or inclement weather like rain or fog. To this end, they train constantly on how to fight in these conditions, and their pilots are some of the best in the Adepta Sororitas. Also they really love smoke launchers.
A typical attack will usually feature Dominions and Seraphim operating far in advance of the main force, scouting the enemy out, pinpointing weaknesses, and relaying information to the main army so they can time their attack properly. An attack by the sisters of the Blinded Martyr is usually preceded by a massive aerial attack, with Avengers strafing targets of opportunity while Seraphim emerge from the darkness to plant melta bombs on key enemy weak points. While the enemy is still reeling from this, the main body of the army, which had been carefully advancing through the darkness this whole time, quickly closes the distance and makes short work of the survivors.(1/?)
I'd be inclined to take use of the martyr part and have them abuse dominion squads. Though how well they'd work with stealth is beyond me.
plastic never
Despite a high degree of coordination and strategic competence, once battle is joined, the sisters of the Blinded Martyr become extremely fixated on achieving victory, and have little regard for casualties. As suggested, they have particularly high attrition rates among Dominion squads. And if they encounter an enemy who can actually deal with their tactics.... let's just say they're endangered for a reason.
>Homeworld
Homeworld is Lycia, a not-Greek world. The local populace are well-educated folk who place a high priority on philosophy, art, and government. They are also horrible at fighting and their planet has an issue with corruption, hence why the order was established. The sisters don't really interact with the local government, as the planet runs itself just fine and they see the locals as softies.
Culturally, the sisters are similar to Spartans (hence the no retreat, no surrender mentality). When they aren't actively fighting, they're training or engaging in contests to test their physical and mental fitness against one another. Peculiarly, the sisters also regularly engage in a form of ritual scarification meant to help focus their faith.
It is whispered that whatever corruption has taken hold on the planet has also affected the sisters in some way. Although no heretics have ever been officially found amongst their number, they seem to be even more wary than usual of sin within their ranks, and have an unusually high rate of lethal training accidents (which also doesn't help their endangered status)
(2/?)
Gonna take a break. If anyone has ideas and wants to contribute, feel free. brb
Good bread.
the whole corruption thing actually works when you consider
>they seem to be even more wary than usual of sin within their ranks
this is standard fare for order of the valorous heart (which is their original order), but it could also be a symptom of something more sinister
>have an unusually high rate of lethal training accidents
if they're based on spartans, their training regimen's probably pretty harsh, so more training accidents would be expected, or it could be the honored superiors weeding out those sisters who are in danger of falling
>honored superiors weeding out those sisters who are in danger of falling
"Stop this bullet with your faith, sister!"
"Quick, she stopped it with her faith! Witch! Get her!"

One more post before bed.
The alliance with the Pointed Word came about when a WAAAAGH! hit a shrine world. The Imperium had seen the Ork fleet coming months in advance and moved a bunch of sisters from both orders to defend the planet. Initially, there was a lot of tension between the two orders, as the sisters of the Pointed Word tend to be well-educated and focused on politics and administration whereas the sisters of the Blinded Martyr see war as their main duty. Both sides had very different visions for the defense of the world, and it was clear to all parties involved that both sides wanted to get this war over with and split ways as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, the ork warboss was particularly kunnin' and after a few skirmishes, figured out the Blinded Martyr's M.O. and lured them into a trap which saw almost all of their forces wiped out. Following this, there just weren't enough sisters of the Pointed Word to hold the orks back and most of them got BTFO'd as well, only leaving about 100 sisters from both orders remaining. They were ordered to retreat and evacuate, but rather than doing this, the two remaining commanders from each order, both sister superiors, resolved to set aside their differences for the moment and stop the orks from looting any priceless relics.
What followed was an extensive guerilla campaign. The sisters of the Blinded Martyr would scout targets of opportunity for the Pointed Word to come in and launch devastating hit-and-run attacks. As the months wore on, the sisters from each order learned to appreciate each other's perspectives, learning that perhaps their methods were not as incompatible as their erstwhile superiors had thought.
Eventually, they discovered the warboss's base of operations and launched a daring raid which saw him and most of his subordinates slain, throwing the WAAAAGH! into chaos and infighting, making them easy pickings.
After the campaign, the two sides parted amicably, the sisters superior planting the seeds for a future alliance between the two orders. The sister superior of the Blinded Martyr went on to become the order's Canoness Superior who launched a daring raid on an Eldar craftworld.
Given their penchant for stealth, I really hope that someone just opened their special Eldar shower curtain to reveal the Canoness Superior, followed by every bathroom on the craftworld suddenly vomitting sisters of battle.
Pretty neat so far, how about them using Incense for their Smoke Launchers?
>all those sister cosplayers
Do you think they really love the Emperor or did their boyfriends made them dress like nerd baits?
Well, either they love the emperor or their boyfriends do. We should all be thankful for the emperor's love of hot nuns.
So an order of experience MILF nuns in full battlegarb, fervently redeeming themselves through bloody sacrifice while dropping imperial fire and smoke-clouded deep strike teams into the enemy ranks, flavored in a slightly greek way.
I like it.
They're now the Creeds of the Sisters of Battle
I kinda figured all Ecclesiarchy forces did that (if not, they should)
Most of these look a bit expensive/time-intensive for boyfriend favors. Even if they aren't 40k fans, they probably like the SoB aesthetic enough to go through all that work making those costumes.
>SISTERS! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?
They should be witty AF like the Spartans were too. Their Canonesses are renowned for their Olenna Tyrell-level insults and comebacks.
