Tool questions:
a) Is there a good program to use for creating maps for Shadowrun? Since I feel like most of the software around DnD isn't really useful for Shadowrun's settings?

I worked from the original storytime and Jarboot, which didn't have footnotes, not this guy's stuff. IMO, they don't add much anyways; the content is not necessary for anyone familiar with SR (and you're not reading this unless you are), and the tone is wishy-washy whether they are trying to explain something or uncertain what is happening.

It's an arcana check, and mundanes can do it. It's called 'Calling', and it's in Street Grimoire.
Make sure you have good Negotiation or whatever you summon will push your shit in.

What? You still need to have a magic rating before you can bind any Foci. All the Calling ritual does is allow you to summon a spirit. The spirit does not owe any services, and it can attack the ritualist if he pisses it off, and the ritualist needs to persuade it to do anything.
The Calling ritual is pretty useless in most cases. Unless you have a high Banishing skill, then it becomes hilariously OP.

Drain roll has to have willpower in it though, so you'll have to choose between STR and BOD.

Willpower is just mental strength. Therefore Strength+Body is appropriate. QED.

Nah, you can do wireless hacking, you just have to be more or less "on-site :^)" to do it. You get a tiny slap on the hand for hopping Grids, and Hosts (aka LANs) are intended to be a hard fuck-you to remote deckers.
