What kind of bases look best with Kekstards? I'm thinking snow but snow is hard to do to my standards and this is my lazy army. Suggestions?

I really like your reds user, top notch recess shading. Only suggestion I could make is a little more silver highlighting on the armor to make those decorations really pop.

pic related did them like that. decent enough contrast without distracting from your golden bois. i think they just did a base, wash and then airbrush. gw colours like incubi dry-brushed with the other seagreens could work if you want minimal effort for a decent effect.

I wouldn't expect any major lore shifts in the with the Tau as a faction until their codex actually releases.

Neat. Honestly I'd like them a bit brighter. Unfortunately my army is bikes only (been waiting since 3rd to do a jetbikes only army with my DE, not passing up the opportunity even though it's in a different army) so I feel like I'd have to either make it look more like ruins to get it on the base or do it like marble but paint it like jade. May just get one of those greenstuff rollers for like imperial palace floor or w.e.

Tamiya Spray paints often have a shiny glossy finish, then you could do a coelia greenshade wash in bits carefully that would remove the shine, leaving bright shiny bits and darkened bits like in natural jade. or if the shiny look isn't what you're going for, just Matt varnish spray. Tamiya TS54is a lime green.

Are there actually any infantry models with a 6+ WS? It seems even the models that would be the worst at melee are still 5+, only things I've seen that are 6+ are flavors of tanks.

yeah if it were me i'd go brighter. tomiya or valejjo makes a clear gloss vanish im pretty sure which you could apply over the top to give it a nice sheen.

In all honestly, it looked exactly as I would've expected it to. Which is why I found it so believable.

My shop owner (trades magic cards for it) let us know the spray is also primer, only got this brand because I had the card trade in for it lol, is it a good product vs any primer?

Yeah just on the trim and the eagles and shit, the stuff you'd want to stand out. It's easy to go overboard on it with gold though, so you're not wrong to be conservative.

nice user my first army was also BA. check out some warhammer tv painting guides if you need help. other good places to go are apathtic fish and the war gamer on youtube. they make nice but relatively simple vids if duncan aint your thing.

Not unless you make it obvious, and even then it depends on the manager. My local GW guy is super chill and doesn't care, but there are some that get butthurt even by conversions and OOP models.

As far as style goes it is God tier.

I bought their "modeling supplies" kit because I wanted a vice grip drill and some files on cheap when I started and though everything else was fine the glue sucked ass. Needed to literally cut it open and when I tried to use it the next day the flimsy fucking plastic cap was super glued to the glue and I ended up covering my fucking hands aa it leaked out as I tried to rip the cap off. How would I field a FW contemptor in 40k? I want to field the 1k sons psychic dread, and two of the normal sons dreads.

It's really not a primer my man. It's a spray paint that a lot of people use to undercoat their plastic models because they don't understand the difference or the benefits.

So im playing Horus Heresy as Auxilia and I wanna go back to 40k. I'm most interested in playing as Skitarii, but I've got a bunch of Velataris on hand and I'm now sure what to run them as. Looking at the models, do you think they should be Skitarii Vanguard or Peltasts? The regular lasrifle Auxilia are already playing the Ranger role.

Peltasts don't have rules in 40k yet.

Basically just the Talos or Cronos. You coukd potentially "convert" a tantalus to not look like a ship but that'd look weird next to the rest of your boats.

Alternatively you could go with the old school Ravagers aesthetic which would look more like a regular spaceship while keeping the sharp pointy design aeathetic.

Would it be possible to use the geneseed of a Primaris Marine to make a normal sized Marine by eschewing the Magnificat organ? Giant, unstealthy, and non-beaky Raven Guard doesn't sit well with me, and they're being forced into it with their steadily deteriorating geneseed.

Primaris marines are even stealthier than the manlets since they’re physically superior in every way.

Why would the primaris be any less stealthy than manlets? Yes, a foot size difference, but better gear, superior training and non-shitty production should cover that particular hurdle no problem.

How do I get started with AdMech? I'm unclear on why they have multiple lists.
