I have a rules question.
Whenever something explodes and does D3 or whatever mortal wounds, are you supposed to roll once and have everything in range suffer that number or roll for each unit in range individually.
I’ve seen more people roll individually, but the first option seems to make more sense to me. Why should something exploding have different intensities to the units around it etc etc

I'm not sure about the rule, but shrapnel can be bizarrely random. Someone standing close to the grenade is sooty but untouched, someone fifteen meters away gets it in the brain.

I'm too lazy to dig up the list but it did have a detachment of both plus a pool of reinforcement points. Running lists without mixing detachments is idiotic in competitive environment.

Not at all! I did this before the dreads came out, you basically just need a fresh Xacto blade, and some fine grit sandpaper. I used some sewing needle heads, and my pin vice to add those big rivets to the sides to help hide the sanding

I'd get rid of the hunter killer missiles to make room for an extra infantry squad to hold backfield objectives, but if you don't have any other models that is fine as is.
I'd also suggest trying to get a few mortars in there eventually.

The level of denial by the bananas is unprecedented. Their salty tears are so glorious as their codex is garbage.

I know mortars and more infantry would be optimal, but my loyalty to the Steel Legion precludes me from fielding any infantry model that isn't riding in a transport.

The HKs I like because, with 7 lascannons + 6 HKs all rerolling 1s to hit and rerolling failed wounds with Old Grudges, I can usually take out a Land Raider in a single turn of shooting. Even though HKs are a bit pricey for 1-shot weapons, front-loading the damage to turn 1 is nice.

Also I think it's a good way to add flavor to an all mechanized list. If everything is in a vehicle might as well go the extra mile and add the extra bit of flavor to it.

does more damage. with 5 attacks it does ~ 17 dam to a rhino. its pretty brutal, even 4 attacks (so has a heavy gun) it does 13 or so
