First for the Drukhari!

Being an awkward alien rip off that they added because it's a fantasy setting in space.

That's what hamfisted means.
They were poorly thought through.

2nd for new plastic guard HQ models

xth for always the Dark Eldar in my heart.

57 65 20 61 72 65 20 74 68 65 20 4e 65 63 72 6f 6e 74 79 72 2c 20 73 75 72 72 65 6e 64 65 72 20 61 6e 64 20 64 69 65 2e

lemme re-roll that 2nd
6th for new plastic guard HQ models

What about Tyranids is poorly thought through? They have very in-depth lore that perfectly matches the grimdark tone of the setting and brings in a large amount of the Lovecraftian cosmic horror element.

>Orks are a melee race!
>I2

I use them interchangeably. I believe there is almost no one who refers to them as "Dark Eldar" in canon. They're always just a part of the Eldar, or the Commorites, or dark kin.

You sound like a butthurt fag who wants to play WHFB in space and doesn't like that Tyranids are a sci-fi race with no fantasy equivalent. Arguably they're a major component of why 40k is more successful than Warhamer Fantasy - people LIKE the sci-fi elements, retard.

>declining sex from a Dark Eldar

I mean, in theory, if you're they're prisoner you really have no say in it but still, declining it is the wiser choice. Probably even by most chaos cultist standards unless you also happen to follow slaneesh.

What's it like, living in the past? As good as my rose tinted glasses make it seem?

>40k isn't WHFB in space

When the fuck are Primaris getting more models? This shit needs some fucking options instead of a unit per slot.

Aeldari gutted how?

Fuck no. I was walking down to the grocers and got hit by a Riptide Wing well crossing the street.

It's not a lore thing, it's just what they're called, and I resent GW trying to change it.

That's a craftworld eldar, friend. You can tell because the primitive mon-keigh still has all his flesh.

Nids are lame because the models look like shit and have a horrible case of sameface. Hyperadapting super predators can look like literally anything, but GW gave them all the same angry dino head.

What's poorly thought out is that they have nothing going for them besides they eat stuff.

Imagine if the joker didn't mean anything to Batman, if he just broke under intimidation like all the rest and had no counter to Batman. Like he was just a random force of nature that destroyed stuff and always came back (and we ignore that plays in with Batman inability to kill)

That's what nids are.
They mean nothing besides looming threat in the background. A ticking clock.

When it's more successful, you can't really call it X in space anymore. It's become its own thing, far bigger and more popular than the dead game it outlived.

That guy was right resorting to
>you mad
he was correct.

At the end of the day the fags that like the appeal of Starship troopers are just HFY goons wanting a shit enemy to give them the warm fuzzies and to be honest Orkz would have made Starship trooper better.

>7th ed, Deathwatch+allies vs Dark Eldar 2k points.

I have a Strategium Command Team with 10 vets
Captain has Storm Bolter, artificier armour, and a storm shield
Vets have 2 missile launchers and 2 heavy bolters

I have a Venerable Dreadnought with TLascannon, heavy flamer, and extra armour as my Ancient

I have an allied detachment of two Ministorum Delegations: 2 priests and 20 Crusaders that I plan to use as shields for my specialist units.

all in all I'm at 915 pts of 2000, I'm wanting to piece together a Black Spear Strike Force.

Any recommendations/tactica that could help me out here?

>Tau street gangs
I'm laughing

The fuck does comparing a comic book hero and villain have to do with comparing galactic-spanning factions in a wargame on the scale of billions of lives? You are an actual retard.

>Nids are lame because the models look like shit
I've seen many bad arguments for why nids are apparently "lame" but this is the first I've ever heard about the models being bad. Even the people who dislike nids thematically usually agree the models are great. You must really be a fucking pleb.

>Tailoring your list to beat an Index army
>Tailoring your list at all

Why does an artillery bug have the same head as a close combat swarming bug? Appealing to popularity is not an argument.

>Just trying to make people angry to defend nids by throwing up substanceless reasonings.

Oh guys, this bait is so obvious it hu-

>People biting and devouring the bait as they voraciously defend the nids.

g...guys...

They aren't likely to get anymore, they were literally a one per slot marine expansion

So convert it you fucking faggot. Nids are beloved by the hobbyist side of the fanbase because they're one of the most fun armies to convert after Orks.

? I don't understand.

>7th ed
>most obscure armies
Is this a real post?

Reminds me of that post a guy made one time about how the fans of each faction act very much like that faction in terms of their posting styles and behavior in the general threads. It was an amazing analysis, I wish I had it saved on this computer.

>The Great Devourer can be summarized as they don't do anything but eat stuff

In other news, orks don't do anything but hit things, spikey marines don't do anything but be spikey, and guardsmen dont do anything but die in droves. Lets just delete the entire setting, because it's obvious none of the factions do anything important, and are just ham fisted into the setting because some guy who created the setting liked that specific faction.

Literally this

I didn't see 7th ed. Still, don't tailor your lists to beat specific lists.

I'm sorry I'm having hard time explaining something so unimportant so I figured it would be easier to use comic books and take them apart and leave them with the absolute nothing that is nids

Like I can't explain nothing, I need to destroy something piece by piece to show you the fact that they lack any thought or process put into them. They're are unmolded clay. Ironic considering that's their entire lore. They're litterally nothing and destroy all good writing. Guess if they had one interesting thing going for them itd be that.

>models look samey
>"j-just convert it!! fuck you!"
Or I could just play an army that actually has creative designs.

Where did I put anything implying I was tailoring my list to beat my opponent's specific list?

I'll prove you wrong in that orks are the same in thay they're the destroyer faction but are way more interesting than nids.

I always hear this but rarely see it.

>inb4 cherry picked Google images

>sorry xeno, I only prefer clean vanilla sex

Oh god I can't wait to hear your example for what's a creative design if you're bothered by an Exocrine having a standard nid skull while the rest of it is a completely different silhouette from the rest of the army.

Please tell me more about how Marines are super creative when they have about 5 basic patterns across the entire range repeated over and over.

I can't bring myself to use 8th edition, and Inquisition forces always interested me the most.

>nids are more than just the faction that mindlessly destroys stuff

The problem is that no one seems to be evaluating on this.

Reminder that guardfags are worse than Slaanesh and furfags.

No one made this claim, you're presenting a counter to an argument that doesn't exist.

That's called a manipulative conversation tactic.
You're literally only here to cause trouble, please fuck off.

Lol can't deal with people not liking your army and being this thin skinned.

To make it worse Blueberries put up better arguements.

Why wouldn't you build a list that has the best chance of winning?

>has argument thoroughly dismantled
>"LOL YOUR THINSKINNED BECAUSE YOU HAD TO RESPOND"
Ahahaha what a fag

Now i'm demotivated from playing IG.
Nice job you jerk

If he's a guardfag why does he have a SoB shirt? Wouldn't that make him a SoBfag?

So they're just the faction that mindlessly destroys and serves no purpose?

I don't get what the problem is then. That's simply uninteresting and useless.

Marines are an army of regimented soldiers theirs makes sense.

>while the rest of it is a completely different silhouette from the rest of the army.
No wonder you like playing mindless bugs, you are one

how does it feel to know that I am having fun, and nothing you ever do or say c an stop me?

pew pew pew

Nah do it anyway, that guys a faggot. I don't play Guard but most Guard players I meet aren't anything like that. There's only one who's a shitter that matches that meme and he's a Sisters/Guard soup player.

new sororitas models when

>first line starts with >weebs
Tau propaganda confirmed. Fucking blue vagina forehead fish faggots made this meme lol.

Now

Do you sleep or are you some rare breed of human who is able to post 24/7?

>mfw I pretend to play a Imperial Guard army but secretly their lore is they're all part of the Genestealer Cult.

What's the best way of removing paint from my plastic metal boxes?
I want to get an airbrush and repaint them in German WW2 camo.

i just want to field an army made up entirely of lesbians, is that too much to ask for

>It is common for a later cycle’s Neophyte Hybrids to infiltrate a world’s PDF, or even those Imperial Guard regiments founded from amongst its populace.

BALLS OF STEEL
DEFENDERS OF HUMANITY
BALLS OF STEEL
BAAAAALLLLLS

I browse the 4chins until I'm tired enough to sleep, or when I need a break from painting.

How are Genestealers in 8th? One of my friends is starting to collect them in addition to his normal Tyranid army.

>Orks
Fungus men mad by the old ones Live to fight fight to live are comedic relief

>Spikey marines
The Bad guys following a great civil war prior to this were Genetically created super human weapons to help Humanity rule then to be disposed of.

>Guardsmen
The Human fighters fighting all sort of crap die alot because humans

>Nids
Space bugs that eat stuff

A lifestyle I can appreciate.

Alright but can we actually talk about how Necrons are the most redundant race in the setting?

Just about every aspect of them is already covered by someone else.

>space cyborgs / metal men
AdMech do it better.

>space egyptians
Thousand Sons do it better.

>super ancient condescending alien race that looks down on humans as young upstarts
Aeldari do it better.

>space undead hordes
Nurgle does it better. Zombies > Skeletons anyways.

>sci-fi hover-tech pewpew glowing lazors and speeders
Honestly half the armies in the game already do this shit.

>life-force eating star god overlords
Chaos Gods do it better.

>inexorable mindless sweeping wave of death
Tyranids do this better.

>oooh spooky skulls
The fucking good guys in this setting wear more skulls than your average Necron force. The Imperium's basic utility drones are fucking floating skulls.

What do the Necrons add????

I thought they tend to tease and cuddle young boy clerics /ss/ style

it has its gun on its back rather than its arm is this one of those conversions that user mentioned?

New meme material right here.

I got 3 Rhinos I might not use as transports, whats a good source of 3rd party predator/razorback/whirlwind turrets?

Evil ancients that are on the rise.

Eldar are a lot more neutral. That and the necrons have ties to humanity.

They also do the inexorable mindless horde better than tyranid by having all those other qualities.

usually but this army's girls are girls who like girls

Necrons are the undead while Nurgle is disease...I agree it's a minor distinction but it's enough for a unique faction. I kind of like the idea of a cicada-like threat of undead robots buried throughout the galaxy and waking up.

>All Tau are weebs, and weebs only play tau
Holy shit what are some more sick kindergartner memes?

nids on the defensive guys take cover.

Speaking of imperium, why do chaplains have skulls for helmets? Is it because they're dead inside?

Robots are not undead.

To. Be. Fair.

They were litterally designed like manga robots.

>They also do the inexorable mindless horde better than tyranid by having all those other qualities.
Yeah no. "Six-limbed insectile/dinosaur super-predators with a biotech theme from beyond the galaxy" are way more interesting than "a bunch of human skeletons, but metal".

to inspire the men and spook the enemies

It represents the death mask of the Emperor:

youtu.be/7t0BAkiQi2k?t=4m31s

necrons are always forgotten
oh yeah, they exist, the faction

I don't think admech do metal men better.

But that's just your opinion.

Cron's aren't technically robots.

Being dinosaurs and stuff doesn't make them interesting my dude.

even japanese 40k sites are fully aware that they are based on japanese mecha

M8 making them Kroot rather than the "beyond the galaxy" shits would improve them 100%

Move GSC and genestealers to completely separate because they are the interesting part of nids

They're powerful (supposedly) and model count for a decent sized army is low enough to not discourage people, but high enough that players will give GW a bunch of shekels.
Also they are easy to paint.
Makes them easy to market to people who want a 40k army but aren't really into painting or modelling.

Hey dudes, been working on tallying up ideas for a homebrew chapter descended from the raven guard but using the blood angels codex.

Tentative names are looking like Falcon Guard or Jade Falcons.

In short, I wanted them to epitomize the "decapitation strike" hard hitting nature of the raven guard more so than the stealth ala. raptors. In this sense, lots of jump packs and hard hitting units.

Death company vets would be explained as marines suffering from sable blindness (heresy era thing for raven guard)

while sanguinary guard would simply be honour guard.

How unfluffy am I so far?

(pic related is the scheme I would want to emulate)

I'm not even a nid player. I'm the terran to my roommate's zerg, because that's why we both got into 40k

they just look like Raptors tho

raptors is more muted drab olive, than just dark green

That fucking guy doing a side step and firing looks cool as shit

I like Jade Falcons.
Minor suggestion, but the Sanguinary Guard could be the Peregrine Guard.
Make sure their world is full of mountains/forests/valleys.
