Primed marines and a Blightspawn, unfortunately haven't had much time to paint my own stuff since I've been working on a friend's ad mech dudes. Won't post those since they're a little repulsive and poorly built.
John Jackson
this is why you keep your porn and your header images in SEPARATE folders
John Kelly
Post them, publicly shame your friend's construction skills.
Carter James
Nah that's okay. It pretty much has three big problems: mold lines not cleaned, there's some sprue stubs slightly still on the models, and when they primed them, there was hair/dust still there and it settled in the spray. Still, a base coat, wash and small highlights on 10 dudes pays for the Plague Marine box I got. and with hours being cut back at work god knows I need it.
Benjamin Allen
Does anyone have any Forgeworld Knarloc Riders? I was wanting to convert them for an AoS army, but I don't have one directly in front of me to judge how well it and various other Kroot units would fit on AoS bases. There are a couple others I was hoping someone might be able to help with.
>Knarloc Riders Would these fit on a 60x35mm oval, or would they be too fat? If not, would they fit on a 45x75mm oval? Definitely hoping there's a way to get 'em on a 60x35 without looking too awkward, but they ship oin a 60mm round, and I have serious doubts that they'd fit.
>Krootox Would these fit on a 60x35mm oval, or would they be too fat? Given that they ship on 40mm rounds, I am guessing they would fit barely. Just curious of those big ape fists would be too wide.
>Greater Knarloc Would this fit more comfortably on a 70x105mm oval, or would it look too small? I know it was shipped on a 60mm round, but it's overflowing the base completely in the front and back.
>Kroot How awkward would Carnivores look on a 40mm round? They definitely extend off their 25mm base a decent bit, and with scenery sprucing it up, reckon it would be passable?
Noah Rivera
/wip/, I have a quick question for you.
My DM had us buy a mini from Hero Forge for a D&D game we're playing. For those that don't know, they're 3D printed minis.
I'm shit at painting, I've tried several times with some cheap ass minis I bought at dragon con a few years back. I don't have enough practice to make a mini look good, so I'm looking to pay someone to paint one for me. I'm in the Seattle area, and I googled a bit, and found some people that do war game painting, but not individual minis.
Do you guys have any suggestions or recommendations on where to look for a one off commission like this?
Brandon Lee
Go to the local tabletop stores and ask around to see if anybody will do a one model commission. I don't live in Seattle so I can't help you but my store has a painting area where I go to paint sometimes and I've had a few people who don't paint ask me to do exactly this for them. I have them buy me a pot of paint or a brush and some food for this. I'm not a pro and I don't go out looking for commissions but I'm sure you could negotiate something like this.
Liam Williams
>My DM had us buy a mini from Hero Forge What the fuck? If you're going to make your party have a HeroForge mini, the fucker should at least have the decency to get it for you buys as a Christmas treat or some shit. Those fucking things are expensive for minis as shitty as they are, plastic-wise. The $20 models are absolutely awful, and the $30 are pretty fucking expensive for a single RPG character. If you're actually getting a HeroForge mini, I'd actually recommend just splurging the extra $5 to get steel. It looks classic enough, it holds up well, and you don't have to paint it.
Otherwise, just wander in FLGS and offer to suck off people you see painting if they'd do it for you.
Nathaniel Stewart
Cool. Yeah, I sorta figured I'd be going into a LGS and asking around, but I figured I'd ask if someone knew of a service that actually did this stuff.
Also, yeah, I was a bit surprised he asked us to get HF minis. I thought about just going on ebay or something and searching for something that was close, but I decided to use some of my Christmas bonus on it, so it's not a big deal. Probably won't buy one from there again though, $30 is way too much for a standard size mini even if it is mostly custom.
Ian Phillips
Yuuup. Especially for something like DnD. I mean... what if your character ends up changing what weapons they use? What if he buys a set of full-plate? In all except for the absolute outlier of circumstances, I just couldn't see that ever being anything but a waste of money. And at least with the steel ones, you have something in you hand that feels a little bit more like a real "collectible" than just another plastic figure.
>tfw you mostly play SotDL and your character would likely be dead before the mini was even shipped
Ian Hall
basically finished off my second lieutenant, just need to touch up the backpack a bit.
Joseph Davis
Last things to prime and paint for the wraith (sans the spyder faceplate) are the armored plates over the top (scratch/cut from wraith plate) and the tail-barb. Going to be finishing this test model up tonight or tomorrow,
Bentley Ward
Guys, r8 my inquisitors
Bentley Hall
Guys, which setup is better? 1 kabalite or 2? In which position? Can't figure what looks best.
Charles Fisher
I like the first image the best.
Bentley Davis
Another angle for reference
Cooper Barnes
#1.
Blake Williams
You gotta do something with the satchels. They look so damn plain. Give them a highlight or something.
Jeremiah Bell
Looks good but needs a clearer pic
Tyler Collins

Nathaniel Howard
finished 1/3 of my engineers, they're so comfy to paint
Aiden Thompson
I don't play wargames and don't know how to paint jack shit. Just give me a source and I'll be out of your hair.
highlights look a bit wobbly to me, but I don't know shit about painting, so take that with a handful of salt.
Camden Bailey
You mean the lines on the cylinders on the engine? I can't get my hand steady for those no matter how hard i try.
Zachary Watson
use painters tape
Camden Campbell
Taking a break from my turbo manlets to kitbash a Watch Captain. What Chapter should I make him? Also got any suggestions as to what I should name him? Right now his name is FuckButter.

>mfw painting Custodes
I hated it at first, all this gold, but it's so shiny now. Fuck me do they take a while though - all that detail is killer, and it feels like I should be giving them a better paintjob than normal.
These Vertus Praetors are going to be sub assembly nightmares, I can tell already.
Samuel Robinson
Hey guy, just curious as to how you got that color purple on the cloak. Was it just Naggaroth Night and Nuln Oil washes, or something different? I'd like to use the same color for my own Warmachine dudes.
Liam White
How do I make realistic snow ? GW's static snow gives poor results
William Martinez
Pick up some snow flock from a hobby store. Bigger hobby chains have it in with the train stuff.
I personally mix it with a drop or two of white paint and glue until I get a texture I'm happy with, then daub that on.
GW also sells a few new snow texture paints that are ok, but my method will cost you less, and net you more.
Angel Peterson
How do I paint Custodes eyes black like pic related without it looking like I just forgot to paint them?
paint it a dark grey or dark blue instead, with black shading
William Allen
Im planning to paint miniature. Pic related. What do you think of this scheme? Is it good enough or would you suggest some changes? Do you have any advice or recommendations ?
Mason Parker
Has anyone every attached electro priest arms to a Skitarii body? I want to run them but I hate their models.
Caleb Bennett
Highlights could use another go round and clean up. Knotwork looks good, three lines near the cockpit could use some clean up. Maybe make them all the same thickness?
Julian Garcia
unless you need gw only parts to play in a gw store I'd maybe look into martial artist miniatures, or monk types in D&D terms. There are probably a handful of decent sculpts out there that could work.
Gavin Baker
i'll try that thanks
Colton Long
>Time to apply transfers >"I'll do it later" >3 months and later never came

>What Chapter should I make him?
Take a look and pick one you like. I'm a fan of the Mentors personally.
I've got basically all the bases covered in terms of chapters I like with the rest of my DW guys so I'm just kind of taking suggestions. But the mentors are pretty nifty. Thanks for the suggestion.
Juan Myers
Took a day off painting drones and daemon princes yesterday. Managed to assemble, prime, paint and finish one entire model. All in all, i'm pretty happy with bell guy over here.
Classic. Those are from victoria, right?
Yeah, #1 looks the most cohesive
Great work user. Really like the subtle splatter. Dislike the red lenses, they are a bit too bright for my sense, but all in all these guys are outstanding.
Cool thing, but the gems could use a little bit more love in my opinion.
Make him Minotaurs and give him a backstory about his unhealthy habit of "securing and containing" xenos artefacts for his own collection.
I always recommend the old from the warp blog as a pretty good point to start. Also check out Warhammer TV's tutorials, Duncan isn't our patron saint for nothing
Ryan Brown
Lucius pattern is coming along
Christopher Rodriguez
>Horns look a little odd though
In what way? What would you suggest?
Owen Wilson
Does it work?
Jayden Hughes
They look almost bronze in the picture. Maybe paint them khaki and use a brown shade?
Colton Rodriguez
didn't expect/10
Liam Murphy
Thank you for the advise. Ill check if khaki works to give it a more organic look.
Angel Williams
I think it would look better if all the armor plates were green, but yeah it works.
Easton Butler
Looks real nice. Is that a flagellent head?
James Long
Really lacks meaningful highlights. Aka pretty bland. Don't get me wrong, they look tacticool and all, but you need something for the human eye to latch onto. Maybe a white helmet or some bright optics?
Old chaos warrior's mutation sprue if i'm not mistaken.
Lucas Peterson
mars patterns look nicer. looking forward to seeing more of this
Cameron Peterson
I'm kinda undecided on which pattern looks better. since I've already built the Mars pattern, I have to say that the Lucius pattern has charm on its own. it looks more oldschool I guess?
Evan Campbell
Lucius looks old high tech 40k, Mars looks new ultra-baroque imperium
Landon Garcia
Lucius ... oldschool ...
Great now I have a nostalgia rush to buy a few old epic titans, or one armorcast.
John Howard
Come on user, you know you want to.
Christopher Reed
Riiight. It's okay user, we don't judge you.
Oliver Campbell
Damn. Will the difference in material colour have any impact later? Is it actually different plastic or it's just a different colour?
Wyatt Cook
Hey anons, anyone have any good tips for unglueing models? Plastic models with plastic glue. I thought I’d be able to shimmy my brush into position around the fixed limbs and so I daftly glued without checking. Buuut they’re going to have to come off. Any secret tips or am I boned?
Austin Turner
>Plastic models with plastic glue you're fucked, plastic glue works by fusing the two bits of plastic together. If you diddn't use too much glue you might be able to snap it apart, you're probably fucked though.
Nolan Adams
Plastic glue melts plastic to bond the two pieces together, so you’re not going to be able to apply a glue remover. Take your knife to the joints.
Thomas Hill
How much 'holding power' will this have compared to magnets? I mean when I'm trying to vertically attach two pieces.
Cameron Ross
Source to OP pic? I don't have an account in Exhentai.
Jaxson Perez
Fuck me. At least it was a small batch of dudes. Thanks anons.
Josiah Jackson
once it's primed there won't be any difference.it's the same plastic. (PLA)
Lucas Watson
That is fucking genius. It also very probably has rather more holding power than the shitty little magnets I've been using.
William Diaz
Problem is how you gonna 'drill' the square holes.
Jackson Harris

Futanari Onee-san x Otokonoko Cosplayer Mesu Ochi Choukyou Part 2

Just a thought user, but that thing is going to spin like a motherfucker. Maybe use one of the tighter slotting circular pieces instead? Same hold, just less dramatic spin
Evan Green
I now have a mental image of tank swivelling around like its sensitivity is at maximum, and it's fucking hilarious.
Gavin Gomez
>tfw no fidget spinner predator
Michael Wood
#1 is good. One is doing the deed while the other is keeping watch and ready to move on. Plus it looks more balanced.
Brandon Lewis
Any reason you didn't use painter's tape to do clean lines? I can understand not using them for finer details but here it seems like a great opportunity, no?
Joshua Martin
How else does it fight in combat?
Jackson Hill
Any ideas for a fun head?
Gonna be hanging out with Tzaangors
Or just leave it and make it into a big eye by putting an eyelid on it with a tiny band of greenstuff
Oliver Bell
Help, I'm trying to paint up a Chad Goliath for necromunda but I don't have any emperor's children for the hot pink chest armor.
What do I do?
Jaxon Turner
That eye idea is great, do that!
Connor Perry
>Eye Are you gonna use a tiny bit of greenstuff to represent the eyelid?
Benjamin Carter
Oh shit, this gives me so many ideas. There's other types of connections where lego would be far superior over fucking around with magnets. Pricewise (by buying induvidual bricks) it shouldn't be too bad either; it'd probably be similair to using magnets.
Luke Reyes
>wrong pic
Levi Wilson
>Pricewise (by buying induvidual bricks) it shouldn't be too bad either; it'd probably be similair to using magnets. Or you could be like me and still have most if not all of your lego sets dissembled and in a large tub in the basement
Matthew Reed
Mix in some baking soda to the flock.
Gavin Lewis
I like it I think it'll work out after I clean it up a bit
