What I dont understand is that FW plan is to release weapon kits, then update the house weapon lists. The question is, if they update the house weapon lists with what has been previewed in the upgrade kits, what the fuck is the point of an updated trading post? If at the start of every gang you can buy plasma guns, melta guns, heavy stubbers, and flamers, what is the incentive to buy shit from a trading post? Wheres the gang growth? What happened to all that bullshit about gang identity? Even house can manufacture plas, melta?

So I'd guess the house lists won't change but the trading post will be expanded much further. The resin FW kits are so you can model that Escher with a plasma gun from the trading post or Goliath who buys himself an Autogun.

I changed the filenames because my browser refuses to actually use the sort options when I try to select an image to upload. Easier to name them something memorable and type it in.

Probably most house armories will have a couple weapons for cheaper. Escher can already buy discount laspistols, I wouldn't be surprised if Van Saar get plasma guns for cheaper.

You know, doing the math, Maximal power on a plasma pistol/gun is only worth it if it's a T3 target with a 5+ or better save at long range. In any other situation the low power is superior.

Also, they should have made the pistol's low power S4 rapid fire 1.

Escher do not get discount on laspitol, they get discount on Lasgun.

The only reason you will ever get lastpistol is because they give you a millions laspistol in the sprue, instead of the gun you actually want, like a right hand Autopistol/Plasma pistol

For some reason they make all the stuff you want left-hand only. On the Goliath sprue they only provide left-handed stub guns so you have to make melee gangers stub gun/spud jacker instead of brute cleaver/stub gun or power hammer/stub gun. There's also no fighting knife hand which is complete bullshit.

You don't want stub gun on your ganger trust me. Their value fell off pretty quickly after the first game and after that you are stuck with a shitty gun for the rest of the campaign. Autopistol is the way.

You'll have to check the archives. For whatever reason the person who created the last general put them in a weird fileshare rather than on mega.

You have max 3 weapon, you you have 1 slot occupy by a shitty gun, which I'd rather not. Another Brute Cleaver or backup Autogun is better.

I think every single person is agreed that is the single shittiest rule in the new edition and everybody outside of official GW stores is going to ignore it.

If I recall, Andy Hoare did an AMA on Reddit shortly after the game came out. Apparently GW is currently in late stage TSR mode and only allows designers to playtest in off-hours and doesn't let them organize playtests with focus groups.

that is pretty much in keeping with the nature of the weapon. if the other team has got a melta gun, you are going to make damn sure you murder the dudette carrying it from a safe distance.

agreed. weapons can be recirculated inside the gang at will. as long as everyone is still using weapons from their permitted lists, it simply makes nil sense to force them to stick with their original lasgun when a bolter becomes available.

Not necessarily the place for this question, but are there any ways in which New Necromunda is superior to Old Necromunda?

Old Necromunda was already a pretty good system.

The turn sequence is nice in the new one. Activating per unit is better than I-go-you-go.
Underhive is nice for a quick game because you dont need to worry about setting up a table, I can just bring the box to a friends place and play.

The difference between the old gangs was mostly skills but scavvies, deemers, ratskins were still a lot different so that user is kinda wrong.

I dunno how the new 3d rules work but old necromunda had stuff about jumping onto dudes from higher ledges and things. New box set is just 2d so that's poopy loopy scoopy if you need another book for a game that isn't poo.

I wouldn't bother getting into it to be honest until the next gang, FAQ and Gang War 3 are out. The rules are a cluster fuck right now.

In my opinion Gang War (3d) is garbage and Underhive (2d) is where it's at. That isn't because 2d > 3d it's just because the rules for 3d are a hot steaming pile of garbage right now.

The two problems are that A: They only playtested 2d. and B: They assumed a lot of things were "understood" and didn't bother writing them down. (Determining LoS for blast templates in 3d, for instance.)

I wasn't really dragged, it's just that it started at 11 when I thought it started at 1, so it kind of threw a ringer in my plans for the day.

So I got a look at Gang War 2 while I was at the store. (Didn't buy because I'm hoping for a scan.) Here's some info that hasn't been passed on before.

Impale: If the target is sucessfully wounded and no armor save is made, check if there is another model within 1" of a line originating from the target directly away from the attacker. If the model is within long range of the weapon they're struck for S-1. As long as the weapon succeeds to wound, the attack continues diminishing in strength each time.

Drag: Roll a d6, if higher than target's Strength they're moved d3" in a straight line towards the attacker. (Same rules regarding obstacles as knockback.) If the weapon has Impale, only the last target hit is dragged.

Dramatis Personae: All worthless.

Hanger's On: You basically get one for every 5 rep.
Ammo Jacks: Reroll failed ammo tests on a natural roll of 1 to 3 depending on how many you have.
Docs: Gives you a free "Escort to Doc's Office" action after each game at no credit cost, but best result at Doc's is counted as second best result.
Dome Runners: When you gain territory, add 1 to the roll to see if you gain a special territory. You can choose which die is the tens and which is the ones for the d66 roll. (Only 20 credits, but you can only have one.)

Chef(Forget the name.) At the Spend Experience step of the game, roll a d6 for each fighter in recovery. On a (5 or 6?) clear the in recovery box.

Just got my book. None of the named bounty hunters have a single unique thing about them. They are all cookie cutter page fillers. 7 fucking page fillers. Lol. The mighty leap skill got cleared up. Thats all. Nothing to write home about.

Your welcome. And no, not at all. The art is gorgeous, and the lore is great, it has a high production value and quality to it. Its just that the actual content is sparse, poorly edited, and some nigh useless (an armoury no one can access).

I bought the thing in a store and holy shit gang war 2 is trash. They didn't even update the trading post and bounty hunters are expensive and since they don't even have access to useful weapons since they buy from the trading post.

The only parts of the book that are actually of any use are scum, hangers on and the orlock gang. It really is not worth $30 and it's easily the single shittiest gaming supplement I've ever bought from GW.

There really isnt enough content to scan, the bounty hunter profiles I provided, the weapons armoury and the orlock gang list is pretty much everything worth noting in the book.
