Thanks for trying to destroy the world, but we got it from here t. Goblin
Juan Nelson
I have always wanted to see an expansion where the Goblins of Kezan, namely Venture Company, pose a legitimate threat to Azeroth. Before BfA, before even WoD I posted about my idea of an expansion that involved Venture Goblins drilling a new Well of Eternity on Kezan to power up a machine that could materialise anything (but they, of course, would use it to materialise mountains of gold). I guess this is completely off the table now.
John Cox
Speaking of Sylvanas, why can nobody draw fanart of her that's on-model in CURRENT YEAR? Shit's getting embarrassing
Christian King
Laugh all you want, but void elves are kinda cool. I expected them to be lore abominations after reading endless threads about them on mmo-champ, but nope. But it's really a shame that void elves in their scenario painted blood elves as hypocrites. Also Alleria is savage, I am really in love with her character now. She combines every great aspects of her sisters: badassery of Sylvanas and kindness of Vereesa.
Chase Wilson
>Alleria is my favorite Windrunner sister. Edgier than Vereesa, but slightly less homicidal than the dead one.
Brayden Perry
>both factions also seek this machine, for their hidden personal reasons >magni warns everyone that nothing good would come out of it, but nobody listens >in the end, after the adventurers defeat razdunk, sylvanas sneaks into the machine and wishes to become alive again >she gets her wish, but the machine's working destabilises the goblin well of eternity, creating a hole in reality through which the burning legion can pour in And here you go, the premise of Legion without WoD. Do you like it?
Connor Hughes
What are you, a NERD for caring about armor? Fuck off, people want plate g-strings.
Samuel Reyes
same here Came for the facial hair, stayed for the lore
The only thing that I don't like is how VE changed sides again, but it can be seen as returning to their roots
Easton Wilson
I strongly disagree, but I don't want to kick off the thread with faction shitposting.
Jordan Watson
>bonus: change boots to high heels Unfortunately, I've never seen this. Unfortunately.
Luis Evans
well most slut sylvanas art tends to focus on other things
Brayden Sanders
If only she spent the game posturing like this and never opened her mouth or did anything relevant
Justin Wilson

I unironically think Sylvanas should stick to being fap fodder. When they started covering her up and making her a SRS CHARACTER she became the worst character. I mean fuck, she's actually gotten worse than Garrosh was.
Hudson Johnson
>The Star's Design (secret appearance for Fire Mage Artifact Weapon) >Nightborn designs for a spellblade mirroring a treasured constellation of their people. Fluff like this is the reason why I want to roll Nightborne Priest, that is like Star Augur Aetreus, but sane.
Ian Williams
>making her a SRS CHARACTER Name one other interesting female high/blood/undead elf character.
Nicholas Ramirez
Liadrin
Anthony Kelly
Liadrin
Camden Green
I mean, she was covered up and serious in WCIII. Of course, she was also a likeable character back then.
He was the sanest of us all, you shall see when the Void expansion comes out.
Robert Sullivan
Other than her, cause it's too obvious.
Evan Foster
Alleria
Isaiah Campbell
I understand that she is your waifu, but she isn't interesting at all. She's a human paladin in a skirt.
Grayson Reyes
Garrosh was a fucking retard. HURR MY TRUE HORDE, HURR WHY YOU HATE ME FOR THROWING YOU INTO THE SLUMS?
Sylvanas is at least taking advantage of everyone for her own gain. I'd be cool if it blew in her face for once but who knows what shit they'll do in BFA.
Dominic Hughes
I like them as a DKfag because it further deflects accusations of edginess away from me. Void Elves and Demon Hunters have that shit locked down.
Elijah Diaz
>I mean, she was covered up and serious in WCIII. Of course, she was also a likeable character back then.
She had the night elf archer model used by Shandris in WC3 which wore only a bikini
Sebastian Ortiz
Alleriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Thomas Baker
>MUH HUMANS jesus christ, every fucking time
Jose Wood
"Name one good character except good characters".
Daniel Jones
>I'd be cool if it blew in her face for once
I'd rather see it get blown up her ass. Multiple times. By multiple races.
Jonathan Moore
Liadrin is an okay character with great potential, but right now she is not that much developed.
Hudson Allen
>undead Lilian Voss
Luke Morales
Fanart bikini Sylvanas is best Sylvanas.
Ayden Hill
I'm stupid, abort mission.
Nathaniel Hernandez
She is like Turalyon. Right now hardly developed and used, but you all adore her, cause she has boobs.
Leo Brown
No? It shows quite a bit of cleavage, but it's modest otherwise.
Aiden Perry
>She is like Turalyon > cause she has boobs Do you know something about Turalyon we don't?
Carter Clark
Lilian Voss was... okay, at least within Tirisfal itself. Less so when she showed up in those awful dungeon revamps.
In any case, there's nothing stopping them from fleshing out some magister or Deathstalker or whatever in the same way they did Nazgrim, until they become a viable major character. There's still questgivers with decent personalities out there, they just need a chance to shine.
Easton Ramirez
This.
She lost her potential at the end of TBC. Her character arc is over.
Jackson Young
>Do you know something about Turalyon we don't? I know that he is a character with great potential (like Liadrin). But blizz will fuck up their development beyond salvation. They always do that with my favourite characters.
Caleb Price
Horde players adore Liadrin, Alliance fags adore that henpecked husband of that crazy void chick. Really makes you think.
Lincoln Gutierrez
Go home, Khadgar, you traitor!
Anthony Lee
>Horde players adore Liadrin I'm a horde player. I don't. Liadrin love is but one of many Veeky Forums memes. Also fuck you for your subtle attempt at faction shitposting.
Jason Morales
>Really makes you think. That both sides love lawful good characters that represent best of their values and have the potential to grow?
Juan Brown
This. This. This.
Gavin Robinson
THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING SHUT IT DOWN
Robert Morales
It's not true though. The most beloved Horde characters are Thrall and Vol'jin. CG and CN respectively. Even if you like Liadrin, she doesn't represent the Horde values at all.
Jordan Powell
does anyone actually give a shit about Vol'jin other than him not being Sylvanas? I get liking Thrall, but Vol'jin is flat as a fucking board
and Liadrin definitely does embody Horde values, her entire character arc was about trying to protect her people at any cost, and the Auchindoun questline in WoD is pretty analogous to Thrall's attempt to ingratiate the Horde to humanity and the night elves
Isaiah Ortiz
as far as I know all the development his character ever got besides a few lines in the cinematics was carted of into one or possibly more of those aweful books.
Hunter Cooper
Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde was pretty good. Might be because it was written by Michael Stackpole.
Liam Lopez
There is no such thing as "boring character". They just didn't got a chance to shine.
Are you sure you didn't meant to say "glow" instead of "grow"?
Kayden Harris
Well, the Venture Co are getting to go out with a bang in BFA with Razdunk finally appearing and them taking over Kezan in one of the new dungeons. That's honestly more than I ever expected them to get in this age of multiversal space demons and eldritch gods.
Alexander Richardson
user, even in capeshit where punching cosmic gods in the face is the norm, evil businessmen are still a primary threat.
Liam Stewart
I wouldn't mind pallyposters if they didn't push and shill their opinions so much. Guess it comes with the territory when you choose the class that is all about purging and cleaning.
Colton Miller
Lol, dc comics are lame and superman is super boring, so your post is invalid
Charles Howard
>so much sexualized art of Sylvanas >barely any of it has her barefoot
The darkest timeline.
Joshua Anderson
>is all about purging and cleaning. You misspelled the words "healing" and "helping"
Jaxson Green
I agree, but Blizzard has been ramping up the stakes with every successive expansion for a while now, even WoD that was about some orcs who learned to build tanks ended up with us fighting Archimonde himself to prevent a full scale Legion invasion. So I didn't really expect them to ever give attention to things like the Venture Co, Quilboars, Centaurs, ect ever again unless said things got CORRUPTED.com to be pawns of some cosmic force.
Isaiah Howard
I have no idea where you've been looking, Sylvanas is the go-to character for barefoot pics. t. warcraft smut connoisseur
Cooper Gomez
Why there is no sexy art of Alleria? Isn't she popular right now? I kinda prefer my elf to look healthier.
James Clark
The people who draw these don't even know she's undead. R-right?
David James
>when the marlel wakes up
Leo Myers
Same thing as with sexy vampires. Her undeath is only expressed in her love for skulls and blue skin.
Yes, quite a lot of people did, if the massive shitstorm over his death and that many people from both factions continue to list his fridging as one of the worst lore decisions Blizzard has made, which being the same people responsible for many, many terrible plot twists, says a lot. I get subjectively disliking a character, but to call Vol'jin flat is pretty shallow.
One of the things that made Vol'jin so popular across the Horde was that he didn't alienate any race. Elves and Forsaken can feel out of place when the leader won't stop roaring about blood and spikes and victory or death every 5 seconds, and likewise the traditional races of the Horde are feeling disenfranchised under Sylvanas. Vol'jin on the other hand, was a character who was devoted to the original, proper values of the Horde, family and honor and all that jazz but he also combined it with a healthy dose of practicality. Hell, he was a Shadow Hunter.
If Sylvanas needed to kill a dangers enemy who took shelter in an orphanage, she would have the orphanage plagued out of existence without a second thought. If Saurfang was in the same situation, he would do everything in his power to negotiate with the enemy to prevent him from hurting the children, strike bargains for freedom and give into demands if need be, and his sense of honor would demand he keep his word. Vol'jin, in the same situation, would calmly do everything Saurfang did, then when the target left the orphanage, he would walk over, slit the terrorist's throat, and laugh in the man's face that he thought he'd get away from using children as hostages.
A perfect example of this is his dispute with Garrosh vs Cairne's. Cairne charged into Orgrimmar and declared Mak'gora. Vol'jin saw what happened to Cairne and knew that even though he didn't doubt his own skill, he could easily wind up dying from poison. Instead, he tells Garrosh that if he takes the Horde to hell, he'll shoot him in the back without remorse.
Benjamin Torres
Cont from I don't know how you can possibly say Liadrin embodies Horde values and Vol'jin doesn't, when he had an arc about protecting his people under Garrosh's rule at any cost just the same as she did.
Saurfang would do what you said Vol'jin would do. You can't and shouldn't be honourable to people who are the absolute antithesis to honour.
Sylvanas would gas the orphanage, but then she would raise the kids as Forsaken and give them training and tools for taking revenge on the associates of their kidnappers.
Vol'jin would infiltrate the orphanage under stealth, paralyse the kidnappers with some exotic jungle poison, let the kids go and then slowly cut them to pieces alive. The last kidnapper, driven insane by what he had seen, would be given the antidote and let go to spread the word of what happens to those who hurt Horde children.
Elijah Perez
>Vol'jin is flat as a fucking board Not really. It's more like Blizzard just had no real interest in writing or developing him. Only ever bothering to develop him at all out of popular demand, and dropping him as soon as they were able. Metzen was probably annoyed that he'd fucked up so badly that people didn't want Thrall anymore.
Cooper Reyes
The artist is called 34-san.
Lucas Foster
I personally prefer Marvel movies, but when it comes to comics, I know full well that DC is better. Hozen paw rules that you can't have both.
Lincoln Williams
Who's responsible for racial leaders development, is there 1 writer per red\blue side?
Christopher Cox
But if I were to describe Vol'jin in the sense that Blizzard likes to use comicbook metaphors for describing the morals of the factions, he was a leader who could have guided the Horde with "Wolverine" morality that Blizzard claims they design the Horde with while giving us Magnetos and Hitlers to rule us instead.
Isaiah Gomez
Blizzard is big, but the WoW team is just one team, and writing is far from the most important selling point. There's no way they have dedicated writers for things like that.
Parker Baker
Nope. They've got a few dumbasses who are incapable of proper storytelling and tend to create a schizophrenic and inconsistent mess, which isn't well thought out at all.
Jason Cooper
>Traitor Wut?
Robert Cooper
Please let's not start this.
Carter Wood
yeah, no doubt. Marvel is basically blizzard. Bad ideas with great presentation and a shitload of porn.
Matthew Howard
He betrayed Sons of Lothar i.e. his brothers in arms and close friends.
Wyatt Morris
I just mean that O don't get it. I'm not an expert on the lore, but did he do something in Legion? He seemed like one of the most level headed characters for quite some time now, and he's pretty likable because of that.
Or is something he did before WoW? I only played a lot on Warcraft 3 and barely on W2.
Bentley Gonzalez
>Liadrin >Interesting
How?
Justin Walker
After so many years of bad stories I could not give a rats ass about consistency. I just enjoy the stupidity of it all. Azeroth is a transformer? Sure whatever. Thrall is balding? Ahahahahaha. Legion was surprisingly ok. Varian getting killed was satisfying to watch and the biggest surprise is that they didn't redeem Illidan into elven jesus. Wonder if it was intentional or they changed the course after the backlash to Xe'ra's fangirl dialogue.
Samuel Johnson
Oooh okay! When and how?
James Lopez
You're 100% right, but your opinion doesn't sit well with certain people here. Let's leave it at that.
Owen Sanders
Speaking of this, I honestly think Trolls probably have some of the most common ground with all the races of the Horde.
They're tribal and shamanistic, dealing with spirits and such, like Orcs and Tauren. They're practice dark mysticism and are more cunning and conniving than honorable, a common point with races like Forsaken or the edgier Blood Elves. Likewise, they have a civilized side to contrast the savagery. Put the Tauren or Orcs as leaders of the Horde, and Forsaken and Elves seem out of place. Put a Forsaken or Elf on the throne, or both, and it doesn't fit with anyone. Put a somewhat civilized Troll there, and everything fits just fine.
Nicholas Ortiz
>the biggest surprise is that they didn't redeem Illidan into elven jesus Don't you worry. They were saving it for Sylvanas.
Adam Johnson
>Put a somewhat civilized Troll there, and everything fits just fine. Zul for Warchief.
Bentley Powell
IIRC Kosak was the lead quest designer from Cata through to Legion, which is one of the reasons Sylvanas got so much screentime when characters like Baine and Vol'jin got more or less completely ignored.
Ryder Roberts
You can be neutral in human vs human situation, but when your race is about to be annihilated by a completely different race you just can't stay away. Khadgar motivation to go neutral, when all his human friends are preparing for war to defend themselves, isn't just very logical.
Dominic Miller
The problem with your reasoning is that the Darkspears are the biggest ooga-boogas of trollkind. They're actually the most savage race in the Horde.
Justin Baker
>You can't and shouldn't be honourable to people who are the absolute antithesis to honour. Yes you should. I mean sure, don't be an idiot and turn your back on someone who's likely to betray you, but you absolutely do your utmost to keep your word, even to people who wouldn't keep theirs. If honor is to have any value, then it's not something you can discard whenever it suits you. Sometimes that gives you a raw deal, but no one ever said that being honorable is easy.
Hunter Torres
Yes, it's not like the planet is literally dying and making squabbles over who owns it entirely pointless.
Jackson Carter
Forsaken and Elves will never not feel out of place in the Horde and the Horde will never be unfucked without an Orcish Warchief.
Chase Bennett
That's because they forgot to give Vol'jin his pants. But really, I see that more as an artifact of their unwillingness to develop the Darkspears. In Warcraft 3, they were supposed to be expert masons, as the War Mills were built and presumably run by them. They had Batriders. Advanced alchemy. Their headhunters wore pants!
Jaxon Mitchell
Dude, we've had this argument a million times. Let's not have it again.
Well I have a completely different view of the Horde. It's not the Horde of WCIII, but an alliance of underdogs and outcasts who would be exterminated by themselves. Needless to say, forsaken and belfs fit perfectly.
