Why is the amount of sci-fi cyoas so small?

Salty potatoes, he's was the best thing about CYOAs

OC time!

Boring Production History Stuff: I'll be honest, I'm not 100% satisfied with how this came out, not because I think I fucked up the writing but because I'm not sure it actually filled the damn niche it was intended to fill. This is the second time I've started out writing a Waifu Picker and ended up more weird and adventurous than intended. This is more purely a waifu picker than Beyond the Doors, at least, but I still feel like I haven't cracked the Tomboy Waifu Picker that was being spitballed on the thread back in January.

What is this about? It looks interesting but the length is intimidating.

>Tomboy
>Waifu picker
literal 10/10 on the name alone

"Hey user, wan't to own a mercenary mech company?", the anime, the cyoa.

>wan't
Wow am I special

I will be ready to begin more CYOA work next Monday, once I am done one more assignment.

One of the nations I have in mind is a Jewish one, is there any good fantasy art of Jewish-looking waifus and husbandos?

>One Girl Weave: Raven
Don't mind me I'm just jumpstarting the world's access to magic.

I haven't read much, so I don't know how good it actually is, but no matter the quality, I already love you for even trying to tackle it.
The header image has already given my eyes an std though

The ... basic design (and occasional imbalance) is the only thing stopping his cyoas from being absolute god tier desu.

Didn't spot the new thread while replying last thread, so linking here.

About doors, I made some builds, and in the end I tried to determinate how good were my choices. But in the Yellow I had some doubts:
Does eldritch beings have hearts? Does the Yellow King have a heart? Can I make them have hearts with magic? What happens if I eat Oriadne d'Ys heart since she always returns to life?

I'll Tie myself to Hannah, since we've got TONS of stuff in common. But they're all good girls and I hope they all find happiness!

Should probably be an option to be able to spend additional points to make 2-4 different designs for different roles and set the proportions of each for non-ace companies. You don't send a heavy mech to do a recon's job after all.

It's really nice how you get matching skills when you are tied in with one of the waifus.
One thing though, if you 'weave', then it must be every waifu together, right? You can't just 'weave' a single waifu.

As for the waifus... I think that Raven is the best as it gives you a good waifu, magic and lifespan.
Leona is good for the high fantasy adventure, not so much for herself.
Hannah is quite good as a waifu, but idk if I want to go back to High School, but ghost stories could be nice. Certainly a lot better than my boring high school days.
Mina is good, but fighting a war like that will probably mean a very early grave for either me or waifu as there is no guarantee that we will survive long.
Delphia is okay-ish but nothing special, and the skill is pretty good. Seems to be fairly safe despite being post apocalypse, maybe you could do a comfy post apocalypse kind of thing with her.
Wendy is just the comfy option.

But what about the most important one, the elf waifu? Even if there is no thread of fate I might still want to pursue her.

>no possibility to weave a single person
uh, am I being autistic or this supposed to be a weird mechanic?

Lienne, Raven, and Leona are my favorites, though they're all pretty good. Wendy and Hannah are a bit milquetoast compared to the other four, but they have some appeal.

I can be sure that Raven will be the most popular due to the lifespan extension, so I'll narrow my choice to Leona and Lienne.

I'll go with Lienne, though I'm not sure how I'll fare in combat.

Hmm... Napoleonic Wars, I suppose we would be best suited with Cavalry and Cannons then. Muskets were notorious for unreliability. Odd that this war was able to proceed for a century given the level of technology. I suppose a scorched earth policy would be viable as well.

With a bit of historical background and psychology, perhaps we can bring this to a close and not stare too long into the abyss.

Read the last two paragraphs.

So whaf happens if you rape a goddess in picking-a-goddess?

damn, my autism strikes again

Ask any figure in the myths of antiquity who tried.

Speedreading isn't autism user.

Posedion raped Demeter and got away with it. Hades raped his neice and got away with it.

speedreading and then asking questions that would be answered by just reading more carefully kind of is

I shall revise my comment: ask any mortal that tried.

What does a warrant officer during napoleonic times exactly do. I think that's something that wouldn't hurt to elaborate on. I'm not a history expert

Is the link less direct if you just weave one? Logically I don't see any reason why it would, but strictly going by the stated rules makes it seem that way.

Why do you keep avatarfagging as a furry? You're just as bad as the namefags at this point.

So hey does anyone have the newest Stardust CYOA pages? I found a copy of the 2.2.1 version but it's kinda low quality

Does Odysseus and Calypso or Selene that sleeping boy count?

I'll tie with Hannah

I would like that ability to convert magic power to psionic and vice versa, if only because Gundam has influenced me so strongly to think that precognition and enhanced reflexes are part of what makes a psychic mecha pilot, but it's not necessary. If it's too much of a hassle to change, it's fine as it is.

>weave just lienne
>make her join the military
>cause the real war to end war

I'm actually not sure how any conflict could break out today without just straight up wiping away all humanity. Do nukes just cease to exist if you choose weave?
Look in the pastebin for sda's mega

Yo, this a a pretty tough one.
I think i choose Delphia but I could see that changing at a later date

Search "goblin" in gelbooru.

There are definitely some logistical problems with taking the bigger mech classes with those. I'd have them parked at a frequent docking point which is reliably in control by a faction you're buddy buddy with.

I'll definitely take a look at rewording the leviathan/skyscraper text since that seems to be a recurring problem when it comes to designing the individual "Ace" units.

In all honesty, originally the companions were going to be "Villains" or at least antagonistic/working for Eternal Arms/Rival Crows as a drawback and don't join you at all if you didn't choose them. That's actually where "Hilda's Comment" came from. She was supposed to comment on them as an enemy.

Your plea has been heard.

Yeah, you're right. That's what high levels of suspension of disbelief have let me tolerate though. Though, you COULD take Power Armor class mechs (Turning them into literal power armor instead) and just use it as a merc company cyoa and try REALLY hard to leave logic in the air. Hell, its even noted that non-power armor will be useless and prototypes that won't amount to anything if you choose that.

That's coming in the update. I probably won't be able to update the cyoa today but i'll have the rewrite done in approximately 24 hours.

Now to figure out which of the other CYOA ideas I thought of while working on this to work on now.

Is it be the Gendo the CYOA?

If so then, Get into the robot Takeshi, no matter the cost, no matter the effort Mr P.Rotagonist will bullshit us out of trouble with his plot armored powers.

Thank you

Pick wisely.

2B

Yeah, now that I've had a chance to step back from the cyoa I completely agree. In the update it goes.

Yes. If you want it to be. But hey man, you've still got to deal with the plot-related bullshit that'll come your way. In fact... you're probably the mentor character or very much in danger of dying before the finale to raise the stakes.
>Misfits return home after the final preparatory operation for the big one.
>Finds the base bombed to hell and back
>Takeshi going through to rubble
>"Commander? Commander!? COMMANDER!!!!"
>Fade to black

2D all day
Best girl

More people should dual wield shields. Theres not even that much art for it. But it's so functional. It's like having fist weapons, but better.

Bring 'em all here. Greet my new neighbour (assuring that she is, indeed, not in Kansas anymore), meet Raven shortly after, get her help in seeking out the other four (highest priority on Leona for her safety, second-highest shared for Lienne and Delphia, and finally Wendy - last on the list due to how well and safely she integrates). Figure things out from there, and hope that the heroism from Leona's integration will be sufficient for counteracting any unpleasantness from the three integrations with unavoidable and potentially negative consequences.

>To figure out if you're going to Hell or Heaven, choose the right option.
So picking 2D does that, but what does picking 3D do?

>wendy has a job
>doesn't state what job she has
just why

I can definitely relate. I'm also the kind of guy that everyone thinks of as a good friend but not a best friend

I kind of wish you could do more with Wendy's weaving. Most of them could do with a comfier life. That said, tied to Hannah. I want to watch horror movies with her late into the night despite having school tomorrow because neither of us wants to leave the other.

>Most of them could do with a comfier life
I think I would like them to be slightly comfier, but I wouldn't want them to be full on comfy. Lacking any sort of conflict is what makes so many cyoas pretty boring to me.

I guess I'll go with the Major. These are all some good choices, but I want to become a hero, like Wellington in Britain.
Remember, though, Anons, always make your qt tomboys wear dresses.

...

...

...

I was thinking more along the lines of making Weave-Hannah not suicidal than comfy/challenge from a gameplay perspective. Though there's an idea. You're stuck in a world where nothing ever happens and nothing goes wrong, and you can either try to enjoy that or break the demiurge's fake reality despite her just wanting everyone to be happy.

Fukken love this job.

So does weaving them all make the harem ending viable?

>you're probably the mentor character or very much in danger of dying before the finale to raise the stakes.
That is why you use your plot magic to set contingencies within contingencies.
First of all you are abusive bastard with some redeeming attributes and life lessons so MC hates you but by the finale comes to understand that you are the best guy and guided him through life and your assholeness was necessary to get The Good Ending So it is unlikely for you to die before you and MC resolve unnecessary drama between both of you, and you will do everything in your power to make sure that it happens after grand finale.
Secondary best girl is your clone that have automatic memory uplink upload and update in case of your death
Here you list other creative contingencies.
Last you are ready to become stronger then your enemies could ever imagine.

So even in death you win.

9S

You're a bad-ass vampire/monster hunter in a gothic horror setting reminiscent of Bloodborne, Castlevania and Van Helsing. What skills and or powers would you like to see available to utilize in hunting your prey?

So far have basic melee, ranged (bows/crossbows), ranged (black powder fire arms), lycanthropy (utilizing shape shifting to better hunt monsters), pyromancy (gotta purge the unclean with holy fire), and blood manipulation (basic healing powers to full blown turn blood into a weapon type of shit). What else would be cool?

>So it is unlikely for you to die before you and MC resolve unnecessary drama between both of you,
If you try something like that you are certainly going to die of a heroic sacrifice, and the MC is going to say like "I finally understand you"/"thank you" at your grave while his waifu puts her arm on his back to comfort him.

Using church implements and relics. Crucifixes, mantles depicting Mary, a sliver of the True Cross/the Ark/burning bush, Jesus' baby teeth etc.

Trapping, weaponsmithing (from silvered bullets to chainsaw garden shears), warding runes, divine casting of some description (be it Christian/Catholic or Shinto onmyojutsu) and surgery/autopsy.

Sorcery.

Use hell's magic against hell's children.

>heroic sacrifice
I'm commander of this circus, I have troops to die as heroes. Only way for me to do a heroic sacrifice is by accident and if other heavily misinterpret my behavior.
Also heroic sacrifice is a great role for MC rival, that I unknowingly send to his doom.

It is 8D chess, but it is required skill to be a anime commander that should outkeikaku everyone.
In advance:
>implying that I'm not a retard, and all my subordinates thinks that my idiocy is an act and all luck is part of grand masterplan.
bonus points if in stroy I am great schemer but author is retarded hack that can't write semi decent plot

You NEED to have edgy-as-fuck vampire/half-demon/whatever traits.

Monster-hunting-monsters is a pretty fucking staple staple.

Whipsword, I want to both sword and whip my enemies. Enchanted to be controllable and deal more damage to the vile beasts. Would not mind something like in soulcalibur where I put part of my soul into the blade.

Thank you kindly. Sorry about the header, I was torn between trying to create an environment for the otherworld and actually representing the "strings of fate hanging in air"

Some eldritch beings will have hearts! and lots of cool powers for Bloody Evolution with it. Especially servitors, rather than gods. I wouldn't count on the King in Yellow having one that can be removed though, and as for Oriadnae, ask yourself: is her revival likely to be a natural ability, or the will of an outside force?

I don't think we've seen the last of Rosa (the elf, I don't think I actually gave her name in this one). Thanks for reading!

Glad you enjoyed it. I'd wish you good luck, but strategy minimizes the need for that :)

The 1:1 weave is, I admit, something of an afterthought, both in and out of character. I'd say it would function at tie-level for the purposes of being drawn together.

I thought about it, but I didn't want weaving her to totally clash with the fact that some of the other weaves are themselves volatile/uncomfy when the default status of weave picks them all up.

Damn, I knew I was missing something

Yes! You'll have to put in extra work, of course (relationships take that) but harem ending is possible out of Weave All.

Remember Lawrence... Fear the Old Blood.

You probably have stuff like werewolves, but why not add some vague, subtle, eldritch elements. having it overt might take away from the tone (Unless, you were going for that kind of thing), but even castlevania has chaos, not to mention bloodborne. It can add a subtle nuance of there being something more.

does weave all with raven JUST add witchcraft? of does it also add other magic, like the spirit manipulation and sorcery you mentioned?

>tfw 5 year specialist degree master race

In Leona's world, would it be possible for us to become to become the new dark lord?

I would have thought Delphia would have been more popular, I personally like the comfy post-apocalyptic life she lives in

>TFW you will never go to raven's world and travel around the world delivering harsh magical justice
Why live?

Tie me to Leona

Don't know if you still need them but I'll try to help.

I want to pulp vampires with a giant wheel.

If Hannah wasn't such a perfect fit for me, I'd have picked Delphia.

This is hard not to use biblical art. Most are just Arabic.

Hello?

Is there a CYOA where you're a caretaker of children?

Picasso?

Yes.

Well, lets think about the different types of hunters as packages and what they'd have

Package A would be the classic Abraham VanHelsing type, or if you prefer the Professor Armitage. Primary armaments are a shitton of books and knowledge and a few easily portable trinkets. All other monster-slaying impliments are to be acquired or cooked up on the job as you ascertain the nature of the threat.

Package 2 is the "Belmont", who gets the obligatory whip and an assortment of other fairly heavy weapons.

Package 3, I think about your BPRD or SCP sort of figure, who has every toy under the sun including some scientific gadgets. More ready for a fight than VanHelsing (Service revolver with silver bullets... or those "everything" rounds Hellboy had in the first movie), but more specialized in abusing weaknesses than the Belmont path of overwhelming firepower

What I get from this is that we want

>An assortment of tomes and knowledge skills for the "Prepare carefully" hunt strategy
>An assortment of badass weapons for the "Overwhelming firepower" strategy
>An arsenal of items that might or might not work as a particular foe's bane for the "Batman's utility belt" style

Probably three or four different specialist sources, maybe more if they're spread between items and skills/perks like contacts

A whip, sword, spear, and maybe a few stranger "traditional" weapons

A few firearm variants, mostly light, intended as sidearms or for delivering special rounds

Holy water, holy symbols of various properties (Know when to present a crucifix and when to rely on the Eye of Udjat for protection), Salt, chalk, incense, silver bullets, four-leafed clover, perhaps some "Supernatural tools" from beyond Europe (like O-fuda), preperations for the delivery of garlic, white oak, and clove, and so on

Witchcraft - using hexes to debuff enemies and potions to buff yourself.
Arcane Sorcery - using magic items to cast magic like the spells from Bloodborne, shoot arcane energy into a bit of a slug god to make a energy beam
Warlock - make deals with infernal entities for power, and create binding contracts that cannot be broken. Also gain a silver tongue (actual silver but also charismatic) and great skill in making contracts and finding loopholes in them.
Insight - allows you to see the world the way it truely is, and a little bit of other worlds as well
Luck - your lucky

What's the title?

>blood manipulation (basic healing powers to full blown turn blood into a weapon type of shit)

That's dumb.

I remember Feeling Teachy and Trusted By a Goddess, but there are others.

>He doesn't use blood

Holy magic?

I think I got a few.
Golem crafting- Becoming less of a hunter a more of a deadly puppet master orchestrating large scale massacres from afar.
Soul binding- Capturing the broken defeated souls of the slayed creatures of the night and remaking them as tools and weapons
Artifacts- Beings once foreign now trapped in limited physical forms mistaken for items of legend. Has their time attuning to our plane made them suitable for wielding or do they simply wait for some fool to unleash their evil?

Let's all be Witchers!

Hopefully, this'll get an update someday soon.
