So, new guy here. Had a couple of games of Shadespire and Silver Tower over the weekend and two games of AoS proper today. Greatly enjoyed them all, so I decided to take the plunge and start fyreslayers. Bought the doomseeker for Silver Tower, the chosen axes for Shadespire and a starter box for AoS.
Anything else I should get right away or should know beforehand? How should I assemble the starter box?

Auric Hearthguard aren't nearly as tough as you want them to be.
Pick/shield or twin axes - both are good
Always take a Battlesmith.
Runefather on foot is your best general.
Learn the wonders of skin tone color in a spray can.

I think the intent is that Neave (and other special characters in the Hammers of Sigmar) can't be used in the battalions for Hallowed Knights, Astral Templars, etc

All of the stormhost battalions say something like "You can include any number of other STORMCAST units".

Diaz demonettes were nice. Perry wood elfs looked great. Bretonian females looked very good. They also had some models that were ok with given times. Old metal witch elfs, and for me those are those really old ones, were ok, because glam rock and hair metal was ok at the time. The maiden guard and the everqueen could be painted to look real great.

Everything else GW does for female models ends up with a uggu face.

The fifth edition Bretonnia damsel was surprisingly good.

I'll have to disagree. diaznettes weren't bad, but they were essentially animu, with no noses. I guess we can say each line has one good female sculpt allotted, and that's it.

Is everyone at GW gay? Is that why we got 3 armies of naked dudes (khorne bloodbound, fyreslayers, kairic acolytes) before we got female models (and why these female models are shit).
