All of them are eventually going to start believing they're actually gods. That's what happens when you are placed on a pedestal above your peers. We saw it happen all the time to a lesser extent back when politicians and movie stars existed.

Since Magocratic Convention was meant to be a crossover of all CYOAs I've made or am planning to make, I just carried over Nameless and his "story arc" over from Blood Magic (and in the first place he was put there as a concept from this shitpost of mine).

That's not what I was trying to show. I think you're looking at this from the wrong perspective.
You were warned time and time again that the Adversary is dangerous and that the Convention is at its weakest. Is it really that surprising that things turned out that way?
Furthermore, on the 'goody two shoes Adversary did nothin' wrong and they will forgive you' issue. This stems back from when I released Blood Magic for the first time. Things were all grimderp, so there were lots of complaints about blood mages. People either didn't want to play as them for being to evil, or tried their hardest to be solo and "not like all others", or either doubled down and went full edgelord. So, I tried to whitewash the blood mages to make them more appealing. First in the update for Blood Magic CYOA, and then in this.
It shows that I went too far in this and ruined some things, but that's to be expected. I pretty much never succeed at something on my first try, as seen before. Things just require more polish and minor retconning to make it more believable and stable. I've done this before.
It doesn't help that my only way to get feedback is, well, by releasing the whole thing when it's finished and then slowly updating it years later.
I just wanted a grim scenario with enemies within and without, with morals gray enough to make the reader engaged. To be able for everyone to find reasons to join either of the sides equally.
