How peaceful/pretty are your homes? How filled with life are they?

Aww, that sucks.

>Spoiler
Don't suppose that will be racial option?

Those of you familiar with Lone Wolf, what threats can I expect from a 10 year campaign as a drop in? I have strength and magic from some wishes, but no resistances or other out of context stuff. Also, I spent all my points on drop in meta-gaming stuff.

Mostly I'm worried about being forced against something Hercules, with a touch of Jafar, couldn't put down, or being mind fucked in the process.

>Going 8 Bit Edition
That's the best I got.

Do you think that there's permanent summoning spells in Overlord? Something that would allow you to conjure and bind weaker monsters like Planar Binding in D&D?

I kind of want to build an army of mooks to fuck around in the New World but I'm not really a fan of undead.

Probably not.
They are made from Traps of Destruction, lack any kind of free will, are monitored directly by God and don't operate in the normal system of the Akashic Record.

Probably, it's more or less a MMO'd version of D&D casting.

Well okay then. I think this is the winner.

What’s the power level like?

>Lone Wolf
Doing a rollchain or something? That's an old ass jump.

I don't remember anything really dangerous from the little I've played the books. Mostly just small bits of easily resisted mind stuff and barely stronger than human enemies.

I basically carry around a nation with me at this point, at least in terms of sheer amount of property. It's a beautiful island filled with all sorts of wildlife and environments, and lots of very nicely designed buildings.

Outside of Generic Isekai, it's one of the best places to get foreknowledge of a setting. Universal Cannon basically gives you the 411 on how things are supposed to go.

Thanks

Yeah, picking out fine details at interplanetary ranges is pretty bullshit in terms of senses.

Anyway, the power level seems pretty damn high. But IIRC, all the problems are solved by the shota MC, so you should be alright-ish if you try to stay out of trouble?

My home is just the home cave from Aquaria.
It has lots of useful plants and omnipresent music though.

Are the any jumps other than X-Men Evolution that offer alternate gender Jumper-clones?

I picked up a bunch of land from Kamigawa, so I now have a small continent's worth of land. That said it's pretty uncivilized (outside of a single shrine) so all the beauty is natural at this point.

I do plan on adding actual buildings at some point, but that's a project for a Jump I genuinely don't care about the plot of.

>don’t interact with the plot
>jumper is a hikimori

Houston, we have noooooo problems.

Has anybody ever found that one random picture that resembles their jumper almost perfectly?
Also, do you have any weird/unusual/normally unwieldy weapons that you prefer to use?

Karma Chameleon from GUNNM.
>Your body has evolved an incredible biological sensitivity to the flow of energy in living things and machines, ignoring other sources of EM radiation as noise. This sense is a 360-degree perception that gives you intuitive awareness of the intentions of others – where they will move, what they will aim for, how they will strike, when they will flee. When focused on a single target this becomes perfect awareness of their chi, and can even predict what they were about to say. If you are capable of reacting within the time it takes intent to become action, few things will ever surprise you.

It's a sword and sorcery style series where the protagonists are either rangers or wizards. There's extradimensional stuff, and people use to hype the moonstone, but most of the stuff in the books is solved with low-level magic, ranger'ish abilities, light psionics, and creative problem solving.

There might be some big stuff behind the curtain, but I don't really remember. I think the books are online if you really want to find out.

How many backgrounds are too many?

The admech jump is starting to feel a little bloated. Should I remove the titan college line and leave it to be made as a standalone jump, or maybe stuck in alongside Imperial Knights, or would it be better staying with the Admech?

You could always just play the books if you want to know about the setting? They're all online and theres a couple good readers for it on android

>Has anybody ever found that one random picture that resembles their jumper almost perfectly?
Yes, but sadly I can't post it on a blue board.

>Also, do you have any weird/unusual/normally unwieldy weapons that you prefer to use?
Chainsaw polearm.

How many backgrounds do you have currently?

Probably like this but with wings?

I would say about... Seven is too much for sure. At most, 5 Main Backgrounds, and a Drop-In Background, I would say.

>How many backgrounds are too many?
Around say... 15 or so? That's only personal opinion though.

Anyway. I'd say leave the titan college in though. It seems to me like that fits an Admech jump MUCH better than it would an Imperial Knights jump, and I doubt anyone would make a standalone for them.

I mean, how much did you add that it feels bloated now? Unless you more than tripled it in size since last time, I doubt you need to need to worry about that.

Currently:

Drop-in
Magos Errant
Skitarii
Enginseer
Collegia Titanica
Explorator

>maybe stuck in alongside Imperial Knights
I think there is an Imperial Knights jump being made.

Yeah, that's definitely not too much.

War Never Changes Edition next thread?

I mostly live out of my Warehouse, and it looks weird. There's a modern-Japanese-looking profile room full of statues of people I've met, there's an actual warehouse area with shelves that are mostly empty and a minimalist ARK setup designed to hold my Preserving Bin. There's royal-looking Bretonnian stables past one door, a giant ant farm just past a dirt hole in one of the metal walls, an ore vein running through the dirt cave, and a couple of other doors. One leads to a modern American apartment/house setup. Another leads to a huge walled garden with fruit trees, crystal-clear streams running into an even clearer lake, and incredibly healthy dodos, fish, and other placid creatures. Another leads to a room full of viewing screens, in front of what looks like a huge glass dome with a simulated environment inside.

And that's not getting into the Archipelago, that's all just the Warehouse.

Huh, no fabricator?

SMTAnon, if you're still around, I have a few questions for Duel Terminal Part 1. Firstly, does Divine Wind of Mist Valley count as magic, or is it something else? Secondly, if we start out as an Ice Dragon via Burden of the Ice Barrier, will the Ice Barrier people start hunting us or try to control us, or will they just leave us alone as long as we leave them alone? Finally, and this isn't really a Part 1 question so much as a Duel Terminal question, but when do you plan on working on Part 2? Don't want to rush you or anything, but I'm really enjoying Part 1, so I'm excited to see what you'll do with Part 2.

Well, my main problem is deciding what getss in. Some things from the original might end up being removed as I try to sort things into -

What things are so ubiquitous to the admech that they must be included.

What things are uncommon but should be available for jumpers to purchase.

What things are cool and/or common to the admech, but don't fill a useful role or make sense as something that needs CP to get.

etc, etc.

>spoiler
Pixelate and post

Something like this, but replace the eyeball staff with a crystal and a black cloth over the eyes. Oh, and humanish skin tones.

> Has anybody ever found that one random picture that resembles their jumper almost perfectly?
I mean, I stole my look from Konata, like the actual Konata, so it kinda depends on what pics I find of her. Despite my massive folder, I've actually found very few that fit my sense of style, though I occasionally find a couple that are pretty apropos in mood or outfit.

Like this thing, I could imagine my jumper wearing something like this.

> Also, do you have any weird/unusual/normally unwieldy weapons that you prefer to use?
Lately I've been getting really into scythes, just for the look of them. Y'know, just to hold them. But they're actually very unwieldy in actual combat. Did you know the blade is actually on the inside of the curvature? And trying to stab people with it is unwieldy as well, and risks breaking the blade.
I think you'd really have to stack a few jumps worth of bullshit to wield one effectively, but it looks really cool if you can do it.

But at the end of the day, a straight sword is better for most things.

Honestly they tend to be pretty dust-ridden and look either abandoned or a veritable rat's nest. Or occasionally both.

The places I DON'T live in that follow me tend to look nicer, though. Since, y'know, I just make it look nice once and then take off.
Except for the Machine World. I got that place to really pull on the cyberpunk vibe. So it looks kinda dumpy close up. The skyline is really nice, though.

>Drop-in
Isn't trying to do anything AdMech related without being part of them a fast track to *BLAM*?

>Skitarii
What happened to Magos Dominus? Being a Skitarii means we are just better equipped guardsmen with less freedom.

>Enginseer
This seems rather. . . low on the totem pole compared to a Magos, Collegia member, or explorator. Combine with fabricator?

>Collegia Titanica
Yesssssss

>Explorator
More yessss

No following properties in my chain, and jumps can last anywhere between 1 and 20 years, ending with little warning.
So homes tend to be simple, sparse, minimalist, cold, and empty.
The warehouses are a different matter, though.

Everyone in the admech can make things. The enginseer line is swapping out some perks to focus more production/repair, but I have no plans for a background completely focused on factory-line work.

In-universe, a lot of 'lesser mysteries' are handled by guilds and corporations that aren't technically part of the admech anyways.

No, but only because I got some images which would resemble them. Such as this, which may be what my Jumper might look like as a Servant:

Yeah, that sounds fair enough.

I really wish I could help, because Techpriests are really cool, but my main contact with 40k is like... maybe a dozen sessions of Dark heresy.

>The enginseer line is swapping out some perks to focus more production/repair, but I have no plans for a background completely focused on factory-line work.
Alright, that sounds decent to me.

My appearance is based off Alm from Fire Emblem, and I've maintained the paladin aesthetic, so any pics of him are fairly accurate.

>Isn't trying to do anything AdMech related without being part of them a fast track to *BLAM*?
I mean. Is there a reason a Drop-In /couldn't/ be part of the Admech, with jumpchan shenanigans?

youtu.be/eilhCWx71JE
The Collegia Titanica really operate as a more integrated/professional seperate force from the Imperial Knights. I wouldn't be comfortable putting them in, they're far better suited to the Mechanicus Jump because the Titan Legions are an integral part of them.

>I've maintained the paladin aesthetic
So sword and shield? Mind if I ask which Jumps you have been to for that?

Can't really have a jump without a drop-in origin. But I'm adjusting their perk line so they can avoid getting BLAMMED on day one. I'd forgotten about the whole 'treat each jump as if it was someone's first jump' rule.

Enginseers may be low in regard, but they are everywhere, doing a little bit of everything, attached to pretty much every branch of the admech and Imperium. I can't ignore them.

Skitarii, Dominus. Not sure which I'm going to call it. The perk line will remain mostly the same either way.

The energy is effectively a mix of mana, generic divine power, and life force. So, I suppose it would count as magic, divinity, and ki of some kind.

They will be willing to let you be at first, but leaving to actually interact with the world will make them understandably worried. Less so if you're heroic and/or neutral.

I only started DT P1 because I was burned out on writing any Chains and realized Christmas was coming up. Right now I keep waffling between a few concepts that'd change the context of my Chain, so unless I finally manage to decide on one, I'll probably get tired of it and start working on jumps within 6 months.

Well yes, but in that case it wouldn't be a separate origin but jumpchan inserting you in a role in the AdMech. Ironically there's already another origin that fits the role of guy suddenly shows up who seems to be part of the admech and does things, that's what a magos errant is.

Some ways of solving the drop in issue in jumps where drop ins don't make much sense as an origin are an origin that fits the bill which can optionally be turned into a drop in or just letting you drop-in as any origin.

Should I assume any companion import in an exclusively human setting gives a human alt-form along with the origin they take?

Yes to both.

Trick weapons are fun.

>Can't really have a jump without a drop-in origin. But I'm adjusting their perk line so they can avoid getting BLAMMED on day one. I'd forgotten about the whole 'treat each jump as if it was someone's first jump' rule.
As someone who doesn't know much of Admech specifically, but does know some of the rest of 40k... Do they keep better records than the rest of the Imperium?

Because showing up without a history, but /with/ proper ID seems like it would fly pretty well there. Not like anyone would ever be able to find your history in the bureaucratic mess it would likely be drowned in.

My home is just a large empty room inside of my own inner world where my main body is stored

...

Most imports are human to begin with. If not... That's a tricky one.

So, are you the one on the right or the one on the left?

...Or both?

Huh. A mix of all three? That's interesting.

That's fair, given the other dragons were a big fan of rampaging and destroying everything. I can get how actually going out to see the world, where they can't seal you if you do go crazy, would make them a little nervous.

Oh, okay. Well, I hope you find something good for your chains, or in case you don't that working on jumps doesn't bore or stress you out. Good luck, SMTAnon, and thanks for answering my questions.

Do we have anything that would let me eat more exotic elements, like time or death?

Satan, obviously. Also, similar to desire, the perception of my physical form besides the wings is based on what the specific person considers the be the ideal of beauty. Goofy may be a real companion, a third circle demon or another fragment of my psyche projected through my reality warping powers, or maybe all of them at the same time

Sadly not, though I resembled Gloxinia (Seven Deadly Sins) somewhat at one point in time.

Dragon/God Slayer magics in Fairy Tail. The big bad's power was being a 'Magic' dragon slayer.
Fairy or tentacle porn?

Fairy king, definitely fairy king.

Has your hubris ever actually backfired in a significant way?

Also, the smallest Titan can basically shit on groups of all but the strongest Knights. It'd throw any internal balance right out the window.

>1st Spoiler
That sounds like such BS.

Jumpers, what plots do you want to derail so badly that the jump ends up as a completely different genre?

I... well, uh, no. I'm don't really envision my jumper as anything, at least not outside one or two settings where their appearance would differ from the norm due to narrative reasons. This is pretty close to what I looked like in Overlord, though. Still looking for something that looks like how I want to look during Naruto, though.

Welcome to Hiro "just draw porn already" Mashima.

To be fair, he was the final boss.

Didn't he get beaten by friendship magic?

And Dragon Slayer magic, which is (I think canonically) the only magic that can defeat Dragons.

Looks just like this, aside from having red eyes and a bit messier hair.

Not having seen / played Pokemon, how do kids on these adventures feed themselves and make money?

He really should.

Probably by having training in what to do in the wilderness and doing some odd jobs if they need some money when the battles don't give enough?

Slumming it in pokecenters and/or getting money from the other kids they beat.

Communism. Probably. At least in the anime

In the games, you beat up other trainers and take their money

...I just realized she doesn't have anything on under that loincloth.

Lucy a slllluuuutttttt
Would still smash tho

She's wearing pink panties underneath, user. You can clearly see it near the beginning when the cloth moves to the side.

...

The Pokecenters offer shelter for free to Trainers, and food is usually easy to get if you win battle or hunt/gather a little.

If you go by the anime, Pokecenters provide free beds for trainers. While in the games they're at least a hub, you can find people milling about all hours of the day, so you can probably get directions and pointers to where other trainers are staying, assuming they don't let you just crash on a couch or something.

As for money, in the games they get payouts from beating other trainers and gym leaders. In the anime, it's a combination of survival skills, odd jobs, and inexplicable money from nowhere.

Did the guy that claimed the Empire jump say there was going to be a Witch Hunter background? I want to start a chain with that as my theme but there's not too many jumps that work with it currently.

Yeah, they were huge into witch hunters, you're golden.

That's part of the loincloth.

Now that I look it seems like she isn't wearing any aside from just that one small second, but it seems contradicting.

...

Question for yah.

Can I see black panther before seeing civil war? Or will I fuck the timeline up that way?

Then yes, underneath her panties she's not wearing anything. Most people don't, it'd be weird to wear something under your underwear.

Do you mean the movies or jumps?

>he doesn’t wear underunderwear

user, I don't even wear underwear. I'm a commando all the way.

Erza a shit tbhfam

> not wearing three layers of underwear
SLUT

So. . . apparently there's more going on in Fairy Tale than I thought. Someone want to give me a primer on the big happenings and what these two skilled adventurers are all about?

...

Reminder that if you give Irene a human body, she will probably happily be your companion
