Hijacking the thread question:
What abilities would you most want to see on a completely or near-completely non-combat-oriented RW Commander?

I'd love to see something that alters spells in a unique way, like Soulfire Grand Master or Puncture Blast, but on a RW Legend.

Anyone got a Damia deck? What cards are must includes for her? I already saw that Recycle and Null Profusion are most excellent.

I tried to make a Spellshaper tribal to take advantage of her draw to 7, but it's not that good.
That said, a couple of the spellshapers might actually be good in a normal Damia deck, like Dawnstrider, Diplomatic Escort, Dreamscape Artist, Notorious Assassin, Stronghold Biologist, Stronghold Machinist, or Waterfront Bouncer.

Sol ring is unhealthy because it seriously whacks out the pacing of the game.
I applaud everyone who chooses not to use sol ring because of how stupid it is.

Why would i deliberately not use the best mana accelerator in the entire format?

Cyclonic is a one-sided instant speed effect that's only ever been printed on cards of comparable mana cost but only at sorcery speed and that also affect the caster.
It is blatantly too strong for what it is.

REMINDER that if you play solely with Retarded Sheldon's Retarded Banlist instead of conferring with your playgroup and working out your own, you are the problem.
Instead of following what Sheldon says (which is always purely in his own self interest and not in the interest of the format as a whole or the players of the format as a whole), talk it out and make your own ban list and play terms.
Ban fast mana yourselves, or keep it. Ban problem cards like Iona and Cyclonic, or unban cards you want to combo out with every game like Griselbrand, Primeval Titan, or Painter's Servant.

I think I've had a curse placed on me. I was either mana fucked or mana flooded with every deck but one last night.

All formats usually decide victory with opening hands and the only way to mitigate this is hard control.

I put this in my hugbox deck and it plays really well in that it does what I want it to do.

There's a reason Spectra Ward specifically says it doesn't remove auras.
Protection = D.E.B.T.
D - Cannot be dealt damage by
E - Cannot be enchanted/equipped by
B - Cannot be blocked by
T - Cannot be targeted by
