Class rock paper scissors

Rogue beats Mage
Mage beats Warrior
Warrior beats Rogue

Think about it, the Rogue can kill the squishy Mage before he even knows he's there. The Mage can use his magic to negate the Warrior's strength and keep him from getting close. The Warrior can shrug off the Rogue's sneak attack with his high health and then kill the Rogue in response.

Hello fellow League of Legends player

I think you picked the wrong image user

A system where all classes are placed in one of those three categories (with maybe a fourth 'support' category) would be cool.

I think the rogue shouldn't exclusively rely on the element of surprise to overpower a mage. The way I see it the fighter is strong and can wreck the rogue's shit, while the mage can rain fire and ice on the warrior before he even gets close (and trying to fight a wizard with archery doesn't really help. You'll hurt him, but it's like trying to throw rocks at the guys manning a cannon). Rogues on the other hand should have a wide array of spell-disturbing dirty tricks. What would be very powerful is some kind of anti-magic class ability that allows them, once per turn, to use a bonus action whenever an enemy they're aware of casts a spell. They'd then be able to throw some kind of goop on an enemy mage to interrupt his somatic components, use a throat punch to make it much harder to complete somatic components, the all powerful POCKET SAND to disturb targeting et cetera. A rogue should be loaded out with all kinds of weird gadgets and tools specifically for hampering enemies. Great against wizards, not so great (though not entirely ineffective) against a big angry dude with a large, metal stick. It would require a lot of balancing though, so there aren't a few OP spells that slip through the rogue's repetoire.

Why are you balancing a cooperative game around PvP? That's stupid.

Warrior, Rogue, and Mage.

Free, simple game.

Pretty good.

Despite the name it's actually classless.

You are only 30 years late to make this conclusion.
Good job user, if you keep this up, you'll learn to count and figure out how many 30 is.

He just wanted an excuse to post his fetish not that I can blame him. I've done the same thing before

Fuck you guys.

And what happens if the spellcaster isn't so squishy? And is even immune to stuff like diseases and breathes fire?

You guys are like furfags just without the fur

Not OP, but for all your smugness I can't think of a single major system that puts casters and non-casters on parity. Except 4e, which turns non-casters into casters. That's fine too, but not what OP is describing.

>furfags just without the fur
So monstergirls?

The idea that any character with a resource mechanic is automatically a spellcaster is a stupid D&Dism, and the comment that 4e made everyone into spellcasters is bullshit extrapolated from it.

There are also plenty of games out there which make magic a worthwhile specialisation without making it the most OP thing ever. Shadowrun and Exalted spring to mind, they have their own balance issues but caster supremacy isn't one of them.

that's stupid

No, that's just how the Mage deals with the Warrior's strength.

Not that user, but I'm not so convinced here.

Now excuse me while I look for the source of that pic in the OP.

it's a cooperative game

I would start by checking /d/. They have a giantess thread up all the time.

Pic related is actually supposed to come before the OP pic

But a dragon disciple is both squishy and can't cast spells for shit, user.

>muh cooperative gayme meme
Listen buttercup, sometimes the enemies that you're going to face are going to have class levels, either because they're a race naturally suited for the role (Ex: Halfling Rogues) or because they're from a rival community that would be able to teach its citizens class abilities (Ex: rival kingdoms). That, and just because you're on the same team doesn't mean that you shouldn't consider the possibility that maybe, at some point, you may have to fight one another in the future, fairly even if it's just an enemy using a similar kit.

Ignoring balance for the sake of cooperation is like playing pokemon with a team of 6 Charizards, I mean you'll probably get far in PVE but that's not going to help you once someone rolls up on you with stealth rock and bubble beams.

>Playing in the kind of shittily designed games that uses PC mechanics for enemies

Yeah, no. PC/NPC asymmetry is a far superior design paradigm.

>Only PC's can learn to swing a sword correctly.
It's okay buttercup, just spend a mulligan or a benny or whatever freeform adventure shit you waste your time on and pretend you never took that damage to your snowfl-er player character.

2/10, too obvious

It's cool buttercup, you can spend your mulligans for mental damage too, so you can pretend I didn't trigger you.

Virt won, and nobody realized it. He made the board into a set of clones just like him and just as angry and autistic, and oh-so ironic.

It's funny how triggered you are that you're bringing up dead memes to save your shitty argument.

If you can't tell me why an NPC could never learn how to swing a sword, use a bow, or cast a cantrip then you need to shut your face and let the big boys talk.

They fixed him.

You see this... this is what's truly devastating about the new board. Step outside the entire argument for a bit, and even ignore the fact that I'm not the same guy you're arguing with. I'm with you on the whole PVP/PVE thing. I should be able to create PC characters as rival characters.
What I'm talking about is your immediate fallback to aggression and condescension as soon as someone disagrees with you.
Is that normal for you? Is that sustainable? Do you realize what you're doing to yourself, how you're making it an immediate response both on and offline?

Listen mate, if I don't act like an asshole for (you)'s, this thread would just be buried under /pol/shit, wojaks, and low quality bait that comprises the bulk of the catalog. It's nothing personal, in fact I'll forget about this thread once it gets archived, but nowadays if you try to have a discussion then people will just pass over your thread and shit.

user, No. No. Don't treat that as some sort of fact of life. The board is only like that because you perceive it to be this way. People reciprocate the behaviors you give them, that's only natural.
If you actually wanted discussion, then just bring in discussion, not this five-second OP that neither you nor anyone else cares about.
Post only when you're passionate about it, we can tell when you're putting effort into it and when you're just doing it lazily. That's why your threads are ignored, not because you're not recalcitrant.

>Don't treat that as some sort of fact of life. The board is only like that because you perceive it to be this way.
Hardly, once you see the same "martial vs. caster" threads every other day still reaching bump limit and wojaks start appearing in the catalog, it's pretty much over, and we were done the moment the board split and /pol/ had a reason to start showing up to raid us.
>That's why your threads are ignored, not because you're not recalcitrant.
Yet the one time I posted a thread that was nothing but a picture of a fish hook, it still managed to get around 50 posts before the mods eventually tore it down several hours later.

Hell, any fool can post a thread going on about how D&D is literally Hitler and get to bump limit in less than three days. Meanwhile if I posted a thread about a game that didn't have a general attached to it, it'd either die before reaching 50 posts or get derailed into some monstrosity that resembles nothing like what I wanted to talk about.

You are the problem

>tfw don't even like giantess, that's just a really attractive witch.

The actual problem is that stupid motherfuckers like you continue to give people like me (you)'s, even after we've made it clear that we're trolling for the sake of (you)'s.

Hell, I could post an image macro saying "this thread is bait" and I'd probably still get around 50 posts of "ironic" shitposting. You fags just can't help yourselves.

>thinks furries include mongirl fans
>probably thinks Japanese catgirls and the like are in there as well

Why did I feel the urge to post that?

>Listen buttercup
Kek

Y'all got some source on them pics?
Image search is turning up nothing.

Is this from that witch raising a kid thing?

...

>and low quality bait
"But doctor--I am Pagliacci!"

I just found them on /d/, I don't actually know where they're from. You could probably ask over there though.

Source?
>And now he doesn't look very tasty
That's quitter talk

>Not eating them when they're small and tender
She's new at this isn't she?

Also good tastes in pics OP

You're shitting up the board just as badly as the people you rail against are, don't shitpost to stop shit posts, if you want the board to be better just discus things like an adult or let it die

That lucky fucker

Maybe you would enjoy Runescape.

No, seriously. Ranged does more damage against Magic. Magic does more damage against Melee. Melee does more damage against Ranged. Exactly what youre talkibg about (almost).

And they all do less damage against the things that are effective against them. IE, Magic does less damage against Ranged.

Looks like a snack.

>Not eating the shota
Shit giantess

>You're shitting up the board just as badly as the people you rail against are, don't shitpost to stop shit posts, if you want the board to be better just discus things like an adult or let it die
To be fair, more people ITT are more interested in dumping /d/ shit than actually discussing the topic at hand.

I have no word for this happy feeling and roaring emptiness inside me.

>That lucky fucker
From the looks of it, it's more like "That non-stop fucker."

I was thinking about the exact same thing, kinda how PvP in Runescape is balanced around hybrid characters who’ll attack you with range and then run up and melee you or do a similar thing with mage into melee to get around protection prayers

Man, I love these kinds of sudden turns.

It's cute yeah, her blush in the second pick is great

It is clear that she did not expect this turn of events and she genuinely likes it.

So?
That's still not an excuse to add more shit

I like the guy's look too, just a tad bit embarrassed but still happy

Seriously, the best end.

And Bard seduces them all. It's like a game of rock-paper-scissors-nuke.

>sometimes the enemies that you're going to face are going to have class levels
i don't play 3e because i'm not a retard

Keep it coming, I can almost feel what's left of my soul twitching to life a little bit.

Good times.

then there's that guy who throws down dynamite.

Bards are OP. Instead of slaying, they lay. Witches, female dragons, goddesses...and that's just the male bards.

I have a perfect example of why this board is going to the dogs.

Thread with a primer that lent itself to good discussion, dead in less than ten posts Thread treading the same stale arguments that we've had time and time again, over 150+ and climbing If you don't act like an ass starving for (you)'s, your thread will sink to the bottom of page 11 while bait threads will continue bobbing to the top as people slap dicks over the same bullshit.
