First for Yu Jing.

Sup

Alright look here you traitorous little island shits you get back in line right the fuck now or I swear on me ancestors me and my trillion country men are going to push your shit in so hard that they'll have to feed you and your entire defunct imperial family rice porridge through a tube for the rest of posterity. I've got the Imperial Court on speed dial and you little punks can't even agree on whether blowing up civilians is ok or not so why don't you just sit the fuck down before this all gets ugly.

As a YJ player I'm waiting to see if this is cool or not. I'll be happy if YJ gets to keep current JSA profiles in vanilla and the old sectorial as loyalists who don't rebel, with some pretty obvious defections and maybe 1 or 2 shockers (obvious being stuff like Kempeitai and Yuriko Oda). If JSA and all JSA units in YJ get squatted because you have to buy into Non-Aligned Armies now, you can go fuck yourself Spain.

I'm definitely interested. I hope they go all out, and take most -if not all- of the JSA toys with them to NA2. YJ keeps getting shit on, but they're also been the most interesting for me to follow even though I dont play them yet . Maybe CB will make up for it with korean units or something

Just my opinion as a YJ player but I would be pretty unhappy with Japs making a hard exit from YJ. I've been waiting to play JSA until the new sculpts hit and a lot of JSA units are very useful in vanilla. Suddenly I wouldn't be able to use about 50 dollars of miniatures I had already bought until I buy more shit, even though I was told they were completely playable at the time of purchase for the faction I decided on. Also stuff like Oniwabans, Raidens, Aragotos, Ninjas, Karakuri and so on all provide unique unit options that would suddenly vanish without a trace for YJ. Losing a third of their profiles would suddenly shrink the faction a lot. Not to mention that in the fluff of the rule books the situation is not as black and white as players like to say. There are mentions of many loyal JSA citizens who work hard to earn 1st class citizen status, who are in tern persecuted by the Takenotai for their 'collaboration'.

And even in an ideal world where Corvus suddenly released new Korean/Thai/Viet/etc units to cover all the bases that the JSA left, it would take them at least 5 years to get most of the miniatures left. It may seem interesting and amusing for you, but as a person that plays the faction it would be just shitty. Sure I don't mind JSA taking some of its stuff to NA2, but if they take everything why did they even include the Ninja in Red Veil? Better let all those noobies know they have to buy two complete armies to complete their Red Veil collection.

Okay, that sounds it would be pretty shitty in your case. What about just characters leave? You would lose whole units, and have room for new characters

>Would
Wouldnt lose whole.units

Meh, even if the whole lot gets purged, vanilla only ‘loses’ a few otherwise somewhat useful units.

In the meantime, there would now be loads of space for new units, preferably ones like the ZuYong/YanHuo that does not have any useless CC shit tacked on.

I would be fine with almost all the characters leaving and kempeitai honestly should leave. It would be nice if one or two stayed loyal and stuck with the State Empire to keep things a little grey, and would be deeply missed as a great unit, but I would be quite fine with that. YJ JSA stays the same and loses a bunch of characters, NA2 JSA gets all the new profiles, all the characters, and most of the new Japanese releases. I would be happy with that and would probably end up buying into NA2 JSA to supplement my YJ collection in such a situation.

>and Shinobu would be deeply missed
Fuck my retardation.

What if as Shinobu left they gave Oniwabans Smoke nades?

>Aragoto, Raiden, Keisotsu, Karakuri, Tokusetsu
>units with no CC focus whatsoever ranging from decent to excellent

>Shikami, Ninja
>specialists with great mobility and defensive skills that allow them to actually get into CC (or assault pistol/KHD range alternatively)

>Oniwaban
>fantastic assassin, basically a non-specialist but far more killy Ninja

>Domaru
>versatile fat warband that sometimes needs help getting to the midfield but is a real nasty customer once it gets there, not fantastic but not bad either

>O-Yoroi
>CC abilities do nothing except help with very nice stealth and brutal CC hits, but cannot compensate for the simple fact that it's a YJ TAG

>Haramaki
>terrible wannabe Domaru that lose template, grenades, assault+berserk and self-control for a couple of measly burst 1 weapons, I wouldn't care if they left

>Kempeitai
>such disgusting traitorous scum should leave YJ forever, I'm glad they're useless

I would still miss her but only because she's a qt.

Wish O Yoroi was just slightly cheaper.

> Not spending the points for the best specialist in the game.

Yeah no. The only hurt is going to be losing Raidens and Oniwaban.

Red Veil is the reason Yu Jing gets to keep ninja. If you are looking to expand just don't buy Japanese. Or do, and start a second awesome army.

In vanilla I have made use of Keisotsu, Tokusetsu, and Shikami as well as Oniwabans and Raidens.

A couple Keisotsu to give orders and suppress my deployment have been useful. Tokusetsu for cheap specialists. Shikami for hilarity.

Has anyone considered if CB will give both Jap characters to Yu Jing (as the once loyal version) and to the non aligned JSA (as them after they split)?

I have no idea if that's actually the sort of thing they'd do or if there's a precedent for someone moving from one army to another.

The ‘sots (and derivative specialists) are o-yaroi are useful because the vanilla equivalent are still the worst of their categories in the whole game. HRL raiden because among the least worst ARO option in the faction.

>if there's a precedent for someone moving from one army to another.
Ko Dali used to be a Tiger Soldier, but got moved to CA after being sepsitorised in Campaign Paradiso. She is no longer available in YJ.

The few times I've used my HRL Raiden offensively have been pretty stellar.

CB just loves fucking over Yu Jing, don't they?

Nah, Du Hing just loves to whine.

>I don't pay attention to these things, therefore they are bad and losing them
Raiden appreciation is good though. Most people don't even get that far in, and they miss out on the most based JSA unit of them all.

It's already happened to YJ with Ko Dali. Yuriko is almost certainly going to move, so I'm hoping we get a real nice engineer to compensate.

O-Yoroi is still pretty shit compared to HI though, even if you only account for JSA HI. Shikami is more useful for control and specialist work and doesn't require the same support, while Domaru and Karakuri are solid and fucking amazing respectively and are both low-investment. Even Guijia has a real advantage over O-Yoroi with its MULTI HMG, so it's not clear-cut.

It doesn't really matter anyway, the only useful things that might potentially be lost are Yuriko and maybe Aragoto. Everything else is here to stay, people are just getting worked up about nothing.

So what sectorials we possibly looking at this year release wise

>Rebel JSA
>Varuna
>Tunguska
>Kazaks
>Ramah?

You guys think Vedic, IA, or Shasnasties gonna get released or re-released this year?

Also I swear to god if O-12 steals a spot I'd be so happy.

A little birdy has told me that Ramah is getting a spot.

IA is likely, considering the Shooting Star concept art. Varuna and Kazaks too with their recent dossiers.

I couldn't even hate on O-12 getting a place. I wonder if CB will modify the Concillium Convention to be less ridiculous so O-12 doesn't breach it.

If the VIID doesnt get teased any time soon il buy the Jap rebel army

0-12 would be dope to see aswell.

Kazaks and IA can suck it and come next year

Ramah isn't this year. You got the list right except for OSS. There are also a couple more merc armies coming.

I hope they don't separate away from Yu Jing, for the sole reason that there's an autistic potato who keeps spamming really shitty memes about how JSA are now non aligned on a few facebook fanpages

Vedic was confirmed on the Australian broadcast, right after they mistakenly confirmed that potato cakes are called potato scallops.

I've just started Yu Jing and am holding off on buying any jap units, but I hope we don't lose them all because I totally want power armour samurai.

Start playing JSA. Join your brothers and raise the flag of rebellion.

Pffft, I'm playing Yu Jing because I wanted to play evil commies!

What kind of fucking psychopath calls a potato cake a potato scallop? What even is a potato scallop?

Neck yourself dirty traitor. I suppose now at least the good and loyal members of the JSA can actually get on with their lives instead of living in fear of being tortured to death for 'collaboration'.

Arent they a capitalist dictatorship like today?

It's not capitalism if it is called People's Republic comrade :^)

The party that controls everything is future-Moaist, but I guess they are more capitalist in their economy than communist China or the USSR since they are keeping on PanO's heels.

The closest definition would be a constitutional monarchy, since they brought nobility back.

Just the typical Oligarchy. Just like everyone else.

PanO is a corpocracy

>Moaist
So they're gonna build huge statues of the communist thinkers while depleting all the available resources in the area, then reverting to barbarism and savagery?

Checks out.

Gee, I wonder who runs all those megas/lobbies there then?

ALEPH

Exactly.

I'm not sure that's correct. The Party was in charge, they brought back the concept of the Emperor as a toothless figurehead for their social planning programs to create a unified 'Yu Jing culture'. He is the head of the court system, and after a triad got way too uppity and assaulted a courthouse and killed a ton of people he instituted the Secret Service. But as I understand it the Emperor still serves only because the Party says so.

I hope the jsq turns to the power that can actually support and appropriate their culture. In the panocenian family the JSA units would find a much better home.

>culrural appropriation
reeeee

Officially the Party is in charge of most things, but the Emperor owns the courts and the secret police so he's not somebody you really want to try pushing around. It's a fucking weird and janky system, even moreso than modern China's. It's not easy to label, and it sure as hell isn't what it claims to be.

>it sure as hell isn't what it claims to be
Well, they did absorb the Democratic People's Republic of Korea...

fff auto correct. I ment appreciate.

So uhh.... if O-12 get added what the fuck would be their gimmick? Ultra elite troops with amazing gadgets?

Dude who just sort of jumped into Infinity today here.

Decided to go with the coolest looking guys and bought Druze and also bought the french Adriana box to use for brawlers/a faction to branch off to later. Is this list alright for a beginner or am I making some silly mistakes?

The Emps is essentially the Minister of Law and by extension pretty much in charge of (most of) Internal Security. He's certainly not all-powerful regrettably, but can be considered to be a bloc of sorts that make up the factions of the Party.

Why CB thought to have one of the most fucked up dynasties as one of the 2 available is anyone's guess.

Since the very beginning.

Get 10 orders in there. Unless you're filling out with 8pt remotes then something as expensive as Togan unfortunately isn't going to work at 200pts. Druze are the centre of the sectorial and they don't come cheap, so for lower point games you can't really afford to spend big in other areas.

Link that HMG. It's your main offensive weapon, it gets far more use out of the burst and BS buffs than anything else. It'll be your mainstay.
I'd honestly switch out the SMR to the duo, because that thing is fucking terrifying in suppressive fire and you're kind of lacking in defensive options. Maybe the hacker as well, so you can keep the core link at a respectable distance for HMG murder while sending in the duo to lock down the midfield.

Any reason for that engineer? A doctor seems like it would work a lot better, since you could fix up your big gun if it takes a lucky ARO.

>Unless you're filling out with 8pt remotes then something as expensive as Togan unfortunately isn't going to work at 200pts
Got'cha boss. Once my LGS get's some remotes in store I'll make sure to toss them into the list.
>Link that HMG
>switch out the SMR to the duo
>Maybe the hacker as well
Oh right, forgot that big teams get cool bonuses and stuff. I'll make sure to do that as well.
>Any reason for that engineer?
I thought it'd be a good idea to make him an engineer because I already have a guy with a medkit and one of my friends told me that I might need engineers and special operatives to win certain missions (hence why Saito is also in the list).

Thanks for the help btw

The only time you really need an engineer for a scenario is for a classified objective, and it's not worth building your list around classifieds especially at low point levels.
For the main stuff there's a bunch of specialist skills, and all of them can do objective work. They are:
>Specialist Operative
>Forward Observer
>Paramedic
>Doctor
>Engineer
>Chain of Command
>Hacker (any)

And paramedics are pretty shit at real healing desu, especially in Druze since they lack both HI and dogfaces (paras' usual targets since they have high PH). The only dude who even manages a 50% success rate when poked with a medikit is Togan, and unlike with doctors you can never reroll that.
Paras are usually just used for objective work, the specialist skills with more utility are the expensive ones like hacker and CoC

Ah I think I get it. So these "classified objectives" are just bonus ways to gain points or something I presume?
>paramedics are pretty shit at real healing desu, especially in Druze
Right, will probably swap in a doctor then and give that Druze paramedic a Panzerfaust or E/M grenade launcher instead.

Other than remotes is there something I should try and include in my list once I reach 300pts? Hunzakuts look important but that Anaconda tag thing looks cool desu.

>Hunzakuts look important
They are. The Hunzakut FO is an efficient and versatile specialist for cheap.

Anaconda is really good for proxying Scarface & Cordelia, but the unit itself is the only stinker in the sectorial, it has all the weaknesses of a TAG but none of the strengths.

Other than that pretty much anything is a good deal. DBS doesn't have much chaff, it's how they get by with so few units.

>The Hunzakut FO is an efficient and versatile specialist for cheap.
Great, I'll make sure to pick one up then.
>good for proxying Scarface & Cordelia, but the unit itself is the only stinker in the sectorial
Oh, well that sucks. Scarface's tag is cool but I'm not a fan of the way the pilot looks but any dude with a boarding shotgun can fix that problem.

Thanks for the help friend. I'm a little bit closer to helping my Lebanon mercs win a game now because of you.

Sanctions
You win the battle, but your economy is fucked and now the public opinion hates you

I laughed. Thank you, user.

C:

Just wanted to second friendly user's suggestions. Definitely get a box of PanO Dronbots, you'll want the Clipper (in a fireteam of Druze), with the other model being either a Fugazi (cheap order) or a Sierra (speed bump and backup HMG).

Otherwise, strongly suggest you grab Valerya Gromoz. She can plug any hole in any fireteam in the faction, and can dish out buffs (Supportware) to your REMs.

Third suggestion is to consider Qapu Khalqi as a second faction, because they use a heap of models the Druze use, including the Druze themselves (albeit with much fewer options).

if i swooce a tiger soldier in from a side edge and flamethrower a tohaa link team and he shoots back, does the shooter also take a free hit or can he negate the hit with his aro roll? i know his friends are fucked

new at this shit and there's a tohaa Boi in the local meta. trying to figure out a plan

Not only he takes a guaranteed hit, he gets -3 for shooting into DTW.

Pathfinder is some good shit too. A sensor is a nice thing to have in DBS, even with the rampant chain-colts your anti-camo options are kind of limited.

If he shoots back he takes the hit. Direct templates don't roll, they merely place a template, and anyone under that template who doesn't dodge is hit automatically. On the other hand it also means that you can't contest his attack either.

The plan involves templates, you had the right idea. Raiden HRL is a good disposable boy and a hero of the StateEmpire. Don't seek out fire specifically though, it's pretty good and often comes with templates but it doesn't actually do anything special to most Tohaa units anymore.

>it's like another Nanking

>it doesn't actually do anything special to most Tohaa units anymore
I don't really get why they took that away.

Death to their False 'emperor'!

> Acting important while being on bumfuck Earth
The absolute state of Nippon.

Oh joy, another day of high-quality content! :^)

Can I share paint jobs here? I'm working my way through the red veil box. This is my favourite mini by far, don't feel like I did the sculpt justice though. Any advice?

Another example of why appeasing the fascists is a complete waste of time.

I think you're in the right direction. Once you paint all the details it will feel less "boring"
I would suggest a contrasting color for the base

Painted minis will always look better than unpainted, even if you end up fucking them up. So try not to sweat it too much as long as you tried. Make sure you thin your paints and take your time, though that looks pretty decent to me.

So everything we should have expected happened?

Are any of the Desperado profiles worth it outside the 2 Assault Pistol one?

Shotgun is garbage
SMG would be okay except the Assault Pistol one exists.
Cheap CR one is okay, but 2 HP not as good as 2 AP.

Thoughts? Should I just convert these guys away.

Thanks for the feedback. I was going for a stealthy ninja look but I can see how it would appear boring or plain without more color and contrast.

Also, can you say which areas have too thick paint? Or is it everywhere?

SMG guy can go in suppression fire at the end of your turn, which is nice. I guess CR/2HP guy is there is you really need to shave 2 points off a list. Boarding Shotgun on bikes can be good to line up templates on an enemy flank, but the Maverick BSG is almost the same price but better so it's kind of redundant.

Cheap CR one is cheap if you really want to shave off a few points. Otherwise no. It's the same as most other warbands, any option that isn't the DTW option is meant to be ignored.

White is a bit thick, it's a difficult colour
The best way is to start with a base grey, and thin layers of lighter and lighter greys ending with pure white highlights

Unironically Duncan from Warhammer TV made some videos about it

>Can I share paint jobs here?
Yeah, I do it all the time and I like seeing "amateur" paintjobs. I'll post my own WIP Hac Tao from last night so you could feel better.
>I'm working my way through the red veil box. This is my favourite mini by far, don't feel like I did the sculpt justice though. Any advice?
Seems fine to me, but the yellow-brown and the white seems a bit flat, It kind of looks like you just used only one color, instead use a darker white and use white to highlight the edges.

Other than that it is pretty great at ddddd

>Other than that it is pretty great at ddddd
user are you okay

If he died at least he died complimenting me

What the fuck kind of gag is this.

Hope you guys like my asuka and didn't see the other three posts of where she's flipped

I saw them all. The face on her looks very good.

I'll be honest, the paint is tique
Maybe it's less noticeable on the tabletop

Keyboard batteries died but I still posted mouse Seems fine but copypaste's starting to get grating>
doing sculpt justice

Color choices are great but paint so thicc you can see it from the front...

Thanks man. The infinity sculpts are really pushing me to improve, it's great. I'm guessing you are working on some sort of decloaking effect?

Kick those slant eyes ass!
Oh wait...

Read up the proper definition of a constitutional monarchy.
They have a regent limited by laws.
Not much else needed.

Yeah, I know, thick paint sucks

Painting a bumblebee Fat Yuan in a black and yellow striped T-shirt and an insect wing pattern on the stabilizers - awesome or retarded?

Those are not mutually exclusive.

Paint "exrah" on the front of his shirt
