Alright look here you traitorous little island shits you get back in line right the fuck now or I swear on me ancestors me and my trillion country men are going to push your shit in so hard that they'll have to feed you and your entire defunct imperial family rice porridge through a tube for the rest of posterity. I've got the Imperial Court on speed dial and you little punks can't even agree on whether blowing up civilians is ok or not so why don't you just sit the fuck down before this all gets ugly.
As a YJ player I'm waiting to see if this is cool or not. I'll be happy if YJ gets to keep current JSA profiles in vanilla and the old sectorial as loyalists who don't rebel, with some pretty obvious defections and maybe 1 or 2 shockers (obvious being stuff like Kempeitai and Yuriko Oda). If JSA and all JSA units in YJ get squatted because you have to buy into Non-Aligned Armies now, you can go fuck yourself Spain.

I'm definitely interested. I hope they go all out, and take most -if not all- of the JSA toys with them to NA2. YJ keeps getting shit on, but they're also been the most interesting for me to follow even though I dont play them yet . Maybe CB will make up for it with korean units or something

Just my opinion as a YJ player but I would be pretty unhappy with Japs making a hard exit from YJ. I've been waiting to play JSA until the new sculpts hit and a lot of JSA units are very useful in vanilla. Suddenly I wouldn't be able to use about 50 dollars of miniatures I had already bought until I buy more shit, even though I was told they were completely playable at the time of purchase for the faction I decided on. Also stuff like Oniwabans, Raidens, Aragotos, Ninjas, Karakuri and so on all provide unique unit options that would suddenly vanish without a trace for YJ. Losing a third of their profiles would suddenly shrink the faction a lot. Not to mention that in the fluff of the rule books the situation is not as black and white as players like to say. There are mentions of many loyal JSA citizens who work hard to earn 1st class citizen status, who are in tern persecuted by the Takenotai for their 'collaboration'.
And even in an ideal world where Corvus suddenly released new Korean/Thai/Viet/etc units to cover all the bases that the JSA left, it would take them at least 5 years to get most of the miniatures left. It may seem interesting and amusing for you, but as a person that plays the faction it would be just shitty. Sure I don't mind JSA taking some of its stuff to NA2, but if they take everything why did they even include the Ninja in Red Veil? Better let all those noobies know they have to buy two complete armies to complete their Red Veil collection.

Okay, that sounds it would be pretty shitty in your case. What about just characters leave? You would lose whole units, and have room for new characters

Meh, even if the whole lot gets purged, vanilla only ‘loses’ a few otherwise somewhat useful units.
In the meantime, there would now be loads of space for new units, preferably ones like the ZuYong/YanHuo that does not have any useless CC shit tacked on.

I would be fine with almost all the characters leaving and kempeitai honestly should leave. It would be nice if one or two stayed loyal and stuck with the State Empire to keep things a little grey, and would be deeply missed as a great unit, but I would be quite fine with that. YJ JSA stays the same and loses a bunch of characters, NA2 JSA gets all the new profiles, all the characters, and most of the new Japanese releases. I would be happy with that and would probably end up buying into NA2 JSA to supplement my YJ collection in such a situation.
