I know you probably get this a lot but I've just finished building the Tau beginner box but I'm not sure which load-outs to give to my Crisis Suits.

I've read in some places that it's best to just give them 3 weapons while others say skills.

Been thinking about starting a GSC army because they’re so versatile and are now getting necromunda rules which is sweet, but I have no idea what’s good to do with them.
I’m gonna pick up some guard SCs to add more bodies and tanks, but what should I get after that? Pure strain genestealer I hear are very good. Do I build the Goliath as the transport or the crusher? What’s good from the guard? They have so many options that do the same thing, I have no idea what to get or how they play

I would assume that's a moot point when you're legit swimming in the warp itself. the way i think about it, Daemons are "short-sighted" in the materium, so souls are like focuspoints, like a tunnel vision in a way. But in the warp, everybody's got perfect 20/20.

Tau suits love to be magnetized. Right now I'd only recommend triple flamers on them because they suck at shooting and move fast.

That would presumably depend on how critically injured the Marine is, but I don't know that we've ever had fluff giving us a granular answer - presumably even chopping off all 4 limbs is insufficient, as they have the augmetics to solve that (see Straken). Dreadnoughts provide some sort of critical life support, but it's not clear what organs the Marine can't just replace without upsizing - kidneys? Liver? Spinal column makes sense.

I don’t know anything about guard. Looking at their codex, I’m a little overwhelmed by the amount of options. I know I don’t get any regiment bonuses because brood brothers, so the question remains: what do I get from guard to back up the genestealers? Are scions any good over normal guard? Chimera or taurox to transport dudes (if transports aren’t complete trash)? So many tanks!!!

The only thing I enjoy about overwatch is the not! Porn cosplay, the porn and maybe some memes. The game itself is not fun for me at all.

Tau drones are networked AI, linked together and sometimes guided by operators or XV pilots. They get smarter the more drones are added to the swarm (a common point thrown around is that a single drone is as smart as a squirrel). I've read scenes of Tau dropping them by the hundreds if not thousands on the enemy; they might be guided by supporting craft.

Triple plasma is a good all-rounder option. If you’re not into magnetizing (I know I’m not) a good idea is to have a squad of plasma, a squad of melta, and a squad of flamers/burstcanons

Right now tau plasma really sucks. Ion blasters came off the restricted list and are strickly better.

Just look at what the units are and what they are able to do and use your judgement to determine if that would be useful to you or not. This is not rocket science.

Look at scions vs an infantry squad. Notice how you get half as many scions, but scions are dramatically more capable with better weapons, better access to special weapons and are also able to deep strike, however they cost more than double per-model.

This is day one how to build an army for 40k shit.
