fatal push and dismember retard

Fuck that.

This is now a Standard thread.

That card is bad in standard too.

Hey all, I have a question. If I found a card that has been under evaluated by the mtg community despite having 1 gp top 8 appearance and a few 5-0's since release, would it be shitty of me to buy out a bunch of copies at .25 cents each before everyone catches on? The card has been out for about a year now.

Thinking that beats GDS

Hurry up and buy your Eldrazi Obligators now!

Is there a site that shows all cards that go infinite with a card? Like if I type in "Illusionist's Bracers" and it gives me a list of all the cards that combo with it?

haha yea, i bet you totally have it in hand 100% of the time and you’re not just flooding out like a bitch while you’re up against BBE Jund

bitch

lol you actually think GDS floods out with the 20+ cantrips it has

ur waifu isn't going to save you from the best midrange deck

Which basics should I get? Was thinking about unglued.

Alpha

Nope, it's a card that's looks innocent but is kinda absurd when you abuse its ability with modern cards. Don't want to say what it is just yet, but it's from amonkhet.

Guru. Or APAC.

The un stable lands are very nice.

I am a big fan of urza's saga.

>playan
Warps. The deck is a real treat, once I get Minamo for the doubleAzcanta, the combo meme will be complete. We started from tier 100 boys; tier 5 soon.

please do tell. I hope it's new perspectives
also the print runs are fuckhuge man and mtgstocks is a meme, idk get whatever card it is if you think it's a sweetdope sleeper

If it's some engine card like Shadow of the Grave then go for it.

Everyone knows about Shadow, and how it can be broken one day, just not today.

It's that Jackal 1 drop, right?
I mean it's a good card but I don't think you can hoard enough and see a rise in prices.

Rate my Mardu Reveler deck pls. It’s essentially just the new Mardu Reveler but with a lower curve and Shadow over Pyromancer. And ways to kill yourself to make shadow better. It’s been working pretty well for me, and it plays the Afro and midrange roles very well.

based.

portal, portal 2, mirage, some odyssey, esper alara, kami mountains, avacyn forests, etc.

I play ad nauseam been playing leylines mainboard so far its decent sometimes its pointless.

What did you cut for them

>leylines mainboard
>its decent
>sometimes its pointless.

stop this meme. only works on bogles because they boost ethereal armor and lili -2 or grapheshot is the only way they lose g1

At first 3 pacts of negation and a pentad but now its 2 pacts, 1 pentad, and 1 spoils if I want 4 mainboard. Also thinking of popping the two shocks out and putting either 2 more basics or 1 more basic and gemstone caverns. Been practicing on mtgo since I hardly have time to do lgs events.

Finished my abzan aristocrats build. The deck seems way more powerful than I thought. I blow through Death shadow, Jund variants, and control builds pretty easily. Anyone else that plays the deck have any sideboard tech? I feel the deck struggles with combo decks and merfolk and Tron. Tide hollow scullers and an early stain the mind out the board have been my plan.

>shadow over pyromancer
>entire point of deck is to sling spells
no

So why can Konami reprint cards constantly and utterly destroy prices but Wizards can't? YGO players get to buy that $80 card they wanted for $5 eventually but in MtG if you don't buy that $5-$10 card soon then you're gonna have to pay $20-$90 later. YGO players will still buy that higher priced card anyways despite there being a cheaper alternative. What's stopping Wizards from reprinting more often and still making bank off people wanting higher rarities/foil?

There’s a lot of Eldrazi and bolts at my store and I found young pyromancer being 1 of 2 cards literally ate bolts for breakfast and just got overpowered by eldrazi. Deaths shadow can hold his own and I find he can apply pressure easier. I feel like in most metas, pyromancer is correct, but with a lot of Tron, and other big creature decks I find shadow just to be more sticky and getting more value. I know “does to removal” isn’t the best argument to make about a card, but literally dying to every removal and not dying to most damage spells when played right can make a big difference. Also he’s a much better topdeck desu late game. Idk just a matter of preference in my meta.

Muh 2nd party thats why yugioh sales outside of asian markets are really done through local play groups rather than stores.

>Anyone else that plays the deck
Never heard of it
Post a list

It’s just 5 color humans for poor people desu

>Be Me Tonight

What can I do with this card, Friend tells me nightmares, anything else?

Good pull
Second best Lilly

>What can I do with this card
Depends on if you want to meme or spend 2 grand.

tell me memes

Gb zombies with her is pretty fun and not too bad desu

>Tell me sweet little memes

>What beats a 5/5 for 1?
a 3/1 haste that steals your 5/5 and turns it into a -6/-6

mono black devotion maybe? She's good in pretty much any deck that can pay double black.

Wizards on suicide watch.

>82% marketshare
>100/120 million euro
>fucking pokemon

Hey man, pokémon is clean, safe and simple to play.

It's babby's first card game and to be fair, is quite a solid babby's first card game. Since WotC originally designed the game anyway.

Fun fact: WotC didn't design the game now known as Legacy Pokemon, they only distributed and translated cards. In doing that, they fucked up to the point that the English meta is entirely different from the Japanese, because cards like Slowking do entirely different things depending on your fucking wotc translation. They relatively recently took the game away, rebooted it entirely, and boxed the old game. They even just got rid of the online legacy tournaments because no one fucking played it as the game was trash.

But you're right, it's pretty good now.

Odyssey

Heyyyy fellow turns bro, glad to see the list. How is jace working out in the deck? I mean the brainstorm is amazing for setting up temporal mastery, but I'm not sure I wanna drop that kind of money.

>the only way they lose game 1
You ain't seen nothing yet

What are some differences?

>best format
if WotC was a bukakke gangbang, modern would be the fat guy at the back who is a friend of the camerman who spends the entire shoot trying to get hard then cums on the floor

Jej

Less overtly broken cards, no mistranslations, a more stable application of energy, Mons actually made with the understanding of what it will exist alongside, support cards less gamebreaking but still good shit like Draw 7, and with Ex-GX being standardized it adds variety to the normal tempo of six prizes. The games last a couple turns longer, so you're more likely to actually compare two decks rather than see who exploded first.

does that make legacy the guy with the hammer?

legacy is the guy who gets paupers cum on his wrist because they were trying to bust at the same time

>poor people actually think like this

>I pay two life and cast Gitaxian Probe!
>haha, I'm practically playing legacy!

The funniest part is when they all gather around and jerk off to the masters sets for their shitty common reprints

to be fair, lightning bolt and brainstorm are pretty good cards

>Best format or BESTEST format?
I actually tend to enjoy EDH more. Nothing like sitting down with some friends and some beers after a long day and flinging some ridiculous spells that are all but unplayable elsewhere.
Modern will always be my favorite competitive format though.
>Brewin?
Working on some Eldrazi stuff. I have Bant built and I've played it on and off since the inception of the deck but I'm interested in trying out the R/G version with BBE, looks like a lot of fun.
>Playin?
G/B Tron. I love slamming me some fatties.
>Bitchin?
I ain't got nothing to bitch about right now, the meta seems to be adapting fine to the unbannings. I'm not one to complain about decks that bully mine, that's just part of the game.
>What beats a 5/5 for 1?
Idk man, probably removal.

he's not insane honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. save 150$ and jam a Jace's Sanctum or better yet more Howling Mine.
He's mostly just there for fun, like Azcanfa, adds more shit for you to do as durdle.dec

>R/G version with BBE
but thats wrong. that doesn't do anything but put your big smashy guys on the bottom. i ended up taking out the dismembers from the gp list and adding in an additional mind stone and a world breaker. that deck is gas, man.

All the lists that have been putting up results in tournaments and in MTGO leagues are running either 3 or 4 BBE's. Idk man, Cascading into an Obligator or Reshaper or even Bolt or Stirrings seems fine to me.

>cascading into an obligator
seems like a good way to miss out on a cast trigger because you didn't have mana for it. i think that mechanic might create more feelbads then it would blowouts in this specific list.

I already own a set of BBE's so I'm going to at least test it out for a few weeks, might as well see how it plays. I'll be sure to let you know if it's dicking me more than helping me.

That seems like a fun list. What's the general strategy/win con?

Why is this thread so slow? Does no one care about modern anymore?

Hey guys i'm doing this for fun

//deck-1
19 Relentless Rats (a25)
4 Thoughtseize (lw)
4 Pack Rat (rtr)
3 Ratcatcher (di)
3 Bontu's Monument (akh)
2 Chittering Rats (ds)
1 Gray Merchant of Asphodel (c14)
1 Thrumming Stone (csp)
23 Swamp (cma)

//token-1
4 Pack Rat Token (rtr)

How do I sideboard?

Hey all. I know you all love BBE a ton. So do I. And siege rhino. So I put them together in a deck full of value. I'd appreciate any suggestions you all have
tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gold-creature-value-train/?cb=1519994840

Stopped reading after athreos

When's a meme deck not a meme deck?

You just need one 5-0 league and a publish to validate your shit brew.

Invasion foils

yeano standard is for cucks

Yea I like this Island, maybe I'm gonna get Urzas, they are also pretty cheap, but I just like the unique look of unglued.

>tfw running Teszerator and loving it
>Cucking burn players and all flavors of aggro
>Only really bad matchup was Tron.
>Now Tron is the flavor of the month and I face it guaranteed once a night if not twice sometimes 3 times
How do I beat Tron in blue black fans? I have a real light green splash for decay, but idk. I already run crucible ghost quarter. Is there any feasible way to make blue control decks have any play against Tron? Feels hopeless, even running 4 rejections out of the board I still lose cause Lol Ulamog turn 4 gg. What do?

Maybe a field of ruin package? Let's you keep disruption up, fix your mana, and rek theirs

Is that really much better than ghost quarter crucible though?

please do!

Put a Steam Vents and a Blood Crypt in the deck
Put 2 Blood Moon in the sideboard

It's not putting yourself behind on mana and requiring an artifact that sounds like has been too slow for you, for one. If you want to go really deep, you could get em with contaminated ground

Blood moon doesn't even get tron anymore, they're too ready for it

I’d run crumble before I run moon tbhfam

But crumble always gives them at least turn 3, sometimes 4, to drop a threat more important than the land.

It actually does when your Thought Scours are more likely to mill your business rather than draw it or hit lands.

What is the package you’re referring to? Because killing one Tron land isn’t going to do it, buy a turn yes, but the inevitability is still there. And crucible gq isn’t always too slow, if you needle learn or something and can get a bit of leeway it can win. But when they drop turn 3 Karn on the play in your face literally what can you do?

>is the only way they lose g1
Or mulligan to oblivion. Or chalice of the void. Or Griselbrand. Or Abrupt Decays into bigger tarmogoyf. Or turn 3 kill from GDS when you don't hit Daybreak Coronet. Or Qasali Pridemage. Or...

The goal isn't to stop tron from happening. That will never work. Your best bet against tron in a non-aggro deck is to disrupt them just long enough to make your clock faster

But I have no clock senpai, it’s tezzerator

Crack field, get an island, cast rejection?

What's your win con normally? Tezz ult?

Tezz ult, 5/5 beatdown on occasion, or thopter sword. Thopter sword is surprisingly I would say my main win con

S-s-serum v-visions is a good cantrip. Right guys?

Hm, I'm not sure there's much of a real answer then. You are the kind of deck tron was built to beat up on

Here’s my list anyhow
4x Darkslick Shores
4x Polluted Delta
3x Watery Grave
2x Island
Swamp
2x Ghost Quarter
2x Spire of Industry
Breeding Pool
Academy Ruins
2x Scalding Tarn

4x Tezz AoB
4x Collective Brutality
Spellskite

4x Chalice of the void
4x Pentax Prism
2x Mox Opal
3x Ensnaring Bridge
2x Pithing Needle
4x Thopter Foundry
3x Sword of the meek
2x Relic of progenitus
Crucible of worlds
2xWelding Jar
Executioners Capsule
Engineered Explosives

Yeh that’s why I feared desu, was wondering if anyone had an answer besides complaining about Tron being op and asking for a ban

Well, every deck has bad matchups, it's just that yours is a top meta choice at the moment.

Quicksilver Fountain?
Also, you should probably run some copies of Whirr of Invention

Humans officially isn't a meme deck.
B L U E S T A F F still is though.

>Brewin?
fucking around with R/G ponza. Testing which big cards goes best with the strategy. Currently testing pic related. It's a bit clunky sometimes, but such a blowout when played right .
>Playin?
Rakdos Burn. Gonna bring it to tonight FNM actually.
>Bitchin?
Hope I don't bump into soul sisters or Ad Nauseam.
>What beats a 5/5 for 1?
Fatal Push or preferably Path to exile. Or discard it with Inquisition of kozilek or thoughtseize. You have way more options at two mana. As a burn player, I don't really fear this guy, because if he's a 4/4 or bigger that means you're at most three bolts away from death.

O G R E S L U M L O R D

How important is color specific fetch lands in a 2 color deck? EDH player newly coming into modern so i don't have a play set of much.Currently building this:

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/23-02-18-modern-blitz/?cb=1519931693

Would a play set of Scalding tarns make much difference? The deck aims to win on turn 2.

How good is the ninjas eldrazi meme deck?
