Your ship gets stranded on an unexplored part of the world

>Your ship gets stranded on an unexplored part of the world
>You reach land and eventually find a primitive, but clearly intelligent tribe
>You don't understand their language nor do they understand yours
>if sci-fi you might not even have the physical capabilities required to understand them
>you're sure you're the first outsiders to ever encounter these people
>they don't seem particularly hostile, but they're clearly not happy with you around either

What do you do?

enslave pillage and rape

Infect them with whatever I've got on me.

Be genuinely helpful.

They don't seem in particular need of anything, and even if they were, how could they communicate to you?

Not to mention you're the one stranded.

Bone down like I'm trying to replace their entire population with my halfbreed progeny. Doesn't matter if they can actually have kids with me.

if they're facing any enemies in their tribal wars, i'd help defeat them. I'd just want the tribes help in fixing my ship and giving me directions. try to get them on my side so i can get on my way

Try to stay on good terms with them, while preparing my return to civilization

Let's make it harder, since I kind of assumed a sci-fi setting even tho I fucked up and didn't clarify.

>your spaceship is fucked, and it will require some more refined materials in order to even begin fixing it.

If you see somebody carrying logs or hanging laundry etc, help them.
If they live in some sort of advanced society where machines provide everything, just sit back and relax and try to establish communication somehow.

Hire their finest warriors as a personal bodyguard.

It really depends on whether it will take more time to establish relations or repair the ship on my own.

If they are even able to be of use to me in any way.

It might be inevitable that you will have to set up some sort of operation in order to gather the material you need. Minerals are hard to extract from the surface of the ground.

Help them defeat the glowing 20 foot tall future-monster I acidentally brought with me and then waifu their qt warrior princess.

>If you see somebody carrying logs or hanging laundry etc, help them.

That's a good start, I suppose. They don't live in an advanced society, how would you try to establish communication?

Assuming we share same senses and expression methods - start by drawing things. Get some charcoal, some flat surface and go wild. Maybe draw a story of how you ended up where you did. Name symbols and ask them through body language to name them in their own language in response.

Unless I have a magical omnifactory on board that had survived intact, I don't see what help native labor would be.

If this thread is about me having to jumpstart an industrial revolution and tech up to whatever I need like it's a civ game, I'll just go back inside and try to fix communications equipment instead; E.T. phone home at least has a chance to work.

Hey, that's a good idea, i'm not sure why it didn't occurred to me.

>If this thread is about me having to jumpstart an industrial revolution and tech up to whatever I need like it's a civ game

You have the tools you need with you, and the knowledge ofc, but having to extract minerals might require you to set up a facility or camp to do so, and that might piss off the natives.

Sorry, i'm basically beta testing here.

Id give them some nice warm blankets.

>If you see somebody carrying logs or hanging laundry
Ey yo this stranger is making moves on our women. Lynch the fucker.

Dohohohohohoho...

I don't suppose I can cannibalize some parts of the ship to produce weapons or armed drones. You need both a stick and a carrot for diplomacy.

You could, that'd probably scare them, or provoke them. You are already a sizable party with weapons as is.

One of those fancy super high tech self-heating blankets?

Offer them gifts in good will then try to develop some means to communicate with them.
Try to gain their hospitality and learn all I can from them about the surrounding wilderness, how to navigate it, other tribes that might be in the area, whatever there is to be wary about.
Go from there to explore and map the region.

> or provoke them
If they are stupid and violent enough to attack me when I am obviously bristling with weaponry beyond their comprehension negotiations are pointless anyway. I'll scare them away as best as I can and start planning how to fortify my camps. I'll need to build up my war effort first so resources for that take precedence over ship repairs. And before that, cheap surveillance drones, as many as I can afford. I'll need resource maps of the area. And if the retards start massing for an assault somewhere it would be best for everyone that I can spot them early and withdraw.

That's an interesting idea. You would definitely be staying there a long while. What if you needed to leave, however?

At that point I guess they'd basically be fucked yeah, futuristic weapons are a lot more dangerous than flint muskets and steel swords. That's the expected outcome desu

Breed with their women and start my own Clan

Do math.

>What if you needed to leave, however?
Well, I mean it depends on how bad my ship is damaged.
If it is thoroughly fucked then we're probably stranded and would do best to just find someplace to settle.
If it is just stuck on a sand bar or something, after I've collected information on the region and gained the trust of the natives, I'd see if they could help us in trying to get it back into the sea so we can return home.
