No politics allowed, this is plastic space mans thread

>blanche

If you're warlord isn't converted you need to fix your life.

Nth for best terminators

STOP TELLING ME ABOUT POLITICS YOUR RUINING THIS TBREAD BY TELLING ME TO STOP TALKING ABOUT POLITICS!

>Got warlord in a start collecting box.
>Hate the model, but don't have any other options.
Feels bad, man

What if all my regimental specialists are converted instead?

Ephrael Stern rules and model when?

Not everyone plays a faction that has humanoid characters can be easily customised.
#this is what marine privilege looks like
#xenos lives matter
#greater daemons revolutionary alliance

In case you missed why then screening you're talking about doesn't work against a Tzaangor bomb here it is.

He's going to run in to is what'll happen is he'll drop the Tzaangors in from the webay at 12.01" away, cast Warptime and end up 6.01" away (needing a 5 on 2D6 to charge at that point for the brayhorn), he'll charge the screen.

He then ends his charge not quite in B2B with the screen, uses his pile in to move his line forward and around the unit.

After that one of 2 things happen, if he kills the entire screen (likely because that's 60 S4 AP-1 attacks that hit on 3s with a likely re-roll from a prince or Ahri) he pops the fight again strat after consolidating 3" towards your next unit - he then piles in 3" and consolidates another 3" meaning he's locked another unit (or multiple given his footprint) in combat.

If he doesn't kill the screen he uses his pile in to prevent you from falling out of combat thus making him immune to shooting in your turn.

>using sprues for rocks

Huh that's a good idea.

Someday. I really want to hotglue her.

already existed

Daemons and xenos have better reasons for conversions than marines.

ehh no offense, but the Empire warrior priest heads really don't fit on the Guardsman..looks pretty silly..

Fuck you here are some of my politics
>Kill everyone now
>Condone first degree murder
>Advocate cannibalism
>Eat shit

Fuck you

MAKE THE EMPEROR A BLACK CHICK!!!

Stahp

good thing those are flagellant heads then

He’s not allowed to pile in to units he didn’t declare a charge against and I don’t think he can declare a charge against units outside of 12”.

Warrior Priests are bald and usually have a tiara.
Those would be fanatics or maybe a Bright Wizard head

...

Can I give a Hellwright the TSon Legion?

>He’s not allowed to pile in to units he didn’t
Yeah you can, if you at least get closer to the other mini you rotate around and just end up closer but also touching the other unit.

Lookin' pretty nice

Twice.

This is incorrect. He is entirely allowed to both pile in and consolidate because he charged. It doesn't states that you must have charged a specific unit only that you charged (which he did). It's a fucking nasty trick but a unit with fight twice as a stratagem can move 12" in a turn just in pile ins and consolidates.

...

Nah man you can explicitly pile-in to units you didn't charge, you're just not allowed to fight them that turn. Its gross but that shit works - Tyranids and Bloodletters also do it.

How doesn't it fit?

nth for the SKULL THRONE

It's fine considering how weak melee is.

>2x heavy flamers
Nice

Can you not declare charges against units outside 12 inches?

>no sob gf

I disagree.

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW. I HAD TO RESORT TO HATE SPEACH!

Melee is amazing this edition on units that can do things exactly like what's being discussed. Shooting is still very good but nowhere near as dominant as it was in 7th.

I still read that in his other voice.

got a painting question and I know this isn't /WIPG/ but what do you guys think about pic related as a color theme for a death guard army? Plague marines in the white with green and as the models get more daemonic, they use more of the green?

Outside of banshees you cannot, even if you could make it you can only declare a charge against a unit that is 12" or closer.

Don't see how melee is amazing with all the chaff. But I'm interested.

Who does 40kg use to paint their army(ies)?

That's fine. Pick the color you want dude. I paint my dg blue. It's cool you got a consistancy.

Looks fine.

I keep forgetting they have double fight. Do something slightly nuts and screen with Dunecrawlers or spread out Dragoon units? It's not like he was exactly armour spamming, and the bases should be big enough to stop a double lockup if you add another inch or two of clear space. If you bring three or four that gives you a reasonable space in the middle where you're mostly safe, then cram your Vanguard around the edges in a couple ranks. Like a //****\\ pattern where the slashes are Vanguard squads and the stars are Crawler bases, because there's no way in hell he cuts through more than one of those with autoguns and glorified punches. Put the infantry killing dakka behind the redundant tanks, give them Erad Beamers to save points if you want. Expensive for a delaying tactic, so going the boring Guard soup route might be more effective, especially if you scatter some Cyclops around.
At the very least if he double consolidates into your Corpuscarii you might be able to just double fight right back with 66 S5 hits before he can do damage.

>No politics allowed
look at this dude

at my flgs i've seen a rise in Khornate armies that just face rush and murder you completely. Sure you'll pick a few of them off but not enough. Not nearly enough.

Are flamers worth it?
Like for plague marines?

finger paints. What are you a casul?

Because (as illustrated) a unit like Tzaangors can never be shot at outside overwatch. They can deepstrike, move, charge and then because of access to a fight again stratagem either move an additional up to 12" to tie up another unit, or if there isn't a viable hard shooting target to lock up they can specifically not declare a charge against one portion of the screen and use their pile-in and consolidation to prevent that unit from falling back which means they cannot be shot at.

Should I kit out my Venerable Dakka-Dread with quad lascannons or quad autocannons?

What about a mechanical one?

That sounds fun.
I really hope they update them.

Siege Studios had a white DG commission. It actually made DG look not shit

It’s amazing if you’re one of these armies that have the means to pull off huge turn 1 charges but otherwise you’re out luck.

Seriously. This one guy runs kharn, a couple rhinos, daemons, and zerkers and i've yet to see him lose.

I have the colors but I like painting with a them. like typhus and mortarion will be painted like the studio style but I want to kind of make the daemons use green more. like paint marines champions with white armour but green helmets.

Since I mainly play 30k DG, I painted all my models in legion colours, but made them very worn and damaged with some corrupt bits in the mix.

>can't get turn 1 charge
What kind of meme army can't do it? Even SoB can pull it off

Yeah that double fight is a bitch the Onager screen is definitely an interesting option because you're correct the big bases are enough to block the 'lock in combat' option so I can fall back and still shoot. My big concern is if he double stacks the cultists and the herd on one side and opens the screen too fast. I might be able to use a combination of dragoons and guards though to accomplish the same thing. I don't mind spending points because ultimately as long as my dakkabots can shoot I'm golden so as long as they stay operational and get to fire I'm able to take the game. The issue is finding a way of giving them targets and not getting tied up.

You can try photoshopping the color scheme and see if you like it.

that color scheme is too white to be honest

gross

give me a scion gf to deep strike onto my dick any day, though

t. racist

The old desaturated colors of the death guard are wonderful. Better in my opinion than many of the modern interpretations.

Seriously, they're putting purple into thier color schemes, Royal freaking purple! Because when I think of purple, a color traditionally associated with Aristocracy due to it's difficulty to obtain in the days of Rome, I think Death Guard!

Go for it. That sickly white will make you stand out.

I don't have photoshop nor do I know how to use it.

>wanting poop covered plague marines

Update who? Khorne? Again?
Fuck khorne, right now Slaanesh is less mobile than Khorne on top of being worse in melee.
Slaanesh daemons desperately need that +3 on advance/run back.

Uh gimp?

I had this gf that used to sob all the time for little to no reason (from my point of view).
Let me tell you that it was not fun at all comforting her all the time, but it did make me completely desensitized to women crying. So that's a plus I suppose.

This cup meme never fails to make me giggle XD

youtube.com/watch?v=75uPOZn6sto

ara ara user~ im not that kind of girl

No not khorne, world eater zerkers.

I forgot about gimp. let me give it a try.

I like it! especially with a slight yellow wash.

agreed

But I like the chaos termie lord

Add more spikes or tentacles

>His warlord isn't a shitty second hand basilisk spotter that has 6 coats of unthinned paint on it.

Sucks to suck my dude.

Oh, I've been wondering if there were any examples of non-marine dreadnoughts

anyone?

My friend said I broke my paint trying to thin it. Can that happen?

love this one too

...

If he double stacks his giant swarm of dudes he might have some trouble getting enough of them into punching or even double tap range, and if the entire horde is on one side you can shuffle your characters into a line on that side for an impromptu secondary screen, although that really is vulnerable to double-fight since they boops are immobile, and he still has his Plaguebearer reserve and their do-far-too-much-damage on sixes swords. Core of dakkabots, HQ and Corpuscarii behind a barricade of crawlers and chumps seems like the best bet, hopefully on an objective so that you can A3O and get 4++ Corps if he tries to focus fire them.

If nothing else it'll be a novelty to adopt a completely reversed formation to anything approaching normal sane combat.

...

The Blood Ravens thank you for your many generous donations.

I was re-reading the 2nd Omnibus, and my internal monologue only read his lines in the TTS voice.

No, it's in this FAQ.
You can find it and the other ones here:
warhammer-community.com/faqs/

IA vol. 2 mentions Unification pattern dreads used by non-Marines.

...

...

Err, I fucked up

Venerable Dread with Quad Autocannon or Twin Lascannon + missile launcher?

Yes.. kinda.
Paint (generalising here) is made up of a colourless medium (eg, Lahmian Medium) and a pigment plus whatever other chemicals it needs to stick to whatever.
When you thin a paint, no matter if you thin with paint, or medium, or even alcohol if it's an alcoholic paint/medium (eg, Vallejo Liquid Metallics), you are diluting the pigment concentration.
If you thin down too much you'll dilute the pigment, ruining the colour, causing streaks and/or preventing it from properly adhering to the undercoat.
