I need a director who understands that's he's selling sex, who knows how to stitch together hours of takes into a single smooth scene, who understands how to use a mixer and doesn't screw up the sound design, who can create a narrative and not a 'loosely connected dreamscape,' and never ever says something like, "My equation is this: You have ten minutes or less to do what you want, and then you have to let the raincoat crowd have what they paid (or stole) for."
If what you want to do is not porn, don't try and make not-porn and staple it onto porn.

Nightdreams is weird. Congrats, so is 90% of porn out there. It's not worthy of congratulations to make something strange that has tits in it. A dude in a costume getting sucked off is not worth watching in and of itself.
And I don't need Shakespeare. I just need something that makes sense, where the director understands the principles of how to make a movie. The Larkin scene makes zero sense because he keeps fucking with the continuity and the sound design is really off-putting. It's not good pornography, or good art. It's shit any way you slice it.
