Build My Villainous Team

Greetings elegan/tg/entlemen,

I come to you withe a request.
I am crafting a scenario, where the primary villain is a powerful psychic in a fantasy world not entirely unlike Forgotten Realms.
As an aged master, withoyal servants and a country mansion, he thought he was content.
Until one night, while stretching as far as he could extend his astral projection, he encountered the mind of a God.
And he understood exactly how underpowered he truly was.
Now he will stop at nothing to attain godhood himself.
But he needs help along the way.
He needs either trusted lieutenants or a team of goody two shoes he can dupe into helping him acquire one of the sources if divinity he's found.

So far, I have decide he would have a muscular and simple minded manservant he trusts and can command with a thought.

Otherwise, I'm drawing a blank.
His plans are dependent upon PCs choices.
He might:
Pursue a living oracle girl who's gone missing [hero quest]
Seek an ancient hidden treasure rumoured to grant the bearer godhood[treasure hunt]
Find the sacred relics of the dead gods and extract divinity from them.[relic intrigue]

tldr: Psychic villain needs to assemble a team: wat do?

>withe
with
>withoyal
with loyal

Damnit I gotta proofread better.

- Evil Noble Indiana Jones with a
- Foreign barbarian bodyguard, indian swordwhip-master
- Student Psychic with great power but lacks skill
- A madman who believes that he is the chosen one of a dead god, who speaks to him in a form of a skeleton bird, Evil Moon Knight

>- Evil Noble Indiana Jones
Definite potential...

>- Foreign barbarian bodyguard, indian swordwhip-master
Got some promise to it...

I like the divided loyalty aspect of them being more loyal to Evil Indy than the bbeg.

I would also add a mercenary army and its leader. Or maybe your bbeg has connections to the nobility so that he has a military noble with his army.

Tohru became good though

>- Student Psychic with great power but lacks skill
Sounds like it could be fun

>- A madman who believes that he is the chosen one of a dead god, who speaks to him in a form of a skeleton bird, Evil Moon Knight
Could be a good hook as a possible line on divinity

>bbeg has connections to the nobility
Some.
Certainly enough to get a small squad for a military escort.
The leader could be a nice use of an LG villain.

Man, everyone in that image is good.
It's supposed to be a psychic assembling a mixed bag of nuts that works as a good team.

Villain law demands he needs at least one beautiful female minion with at least three of the following traits:
-Crazy motherfucking bitch
-Wears glasses
-Wears leather
-Wears impractical high heeled boots
-Dresses like she just set fire to a Hot Topic because they were out of her size studded belt
-Is vaguely Eastern European
-Is in love with the villain
-Is a dominatrix
-Is a sadist
-Gets off on warcrimes
-Uses bizarre and impractical weaponry
-Is an expert martial artist
-Has a secret "Reverse alignment" button hidden inside her vagina/is being mindcontrolled/is secretly good
-Is played by Claudia Black
Get on that shit ASAP

>Get on that shit ASAP
Okay.
We might be able throw a few of these trait onto not!Qara the student psychic, and the foreign bodyguard seems like a good fit
Maybe the madman moon lnight, but that leads to the eyeball eating sister from the crow, not sure if that works...
Combining her with my merc captain idea nets Captain Amelia...
Now who to choose and what traits?

>-Crazy motherfucking bitch
Bad trait for a minion unless they actually have a line on that dead diety

>-Wears glasses
Easy enough for Qara

>-Wears leather
Foreign bodyguard

>-Wears impractical high heeled boots
Amelia

>-Dresses like she just set fire to a Hot Topic because they were out of her size studded belt
...maybe Qara?

>-Is vaguely Eastern European
Amelia works

>-Is in love with the villain
Meh. We'll see. Love can blood and all that.

>-Is a dominatrix
I duuno?

>-Is a sadist
Foreigner with a whip? Or maybe Qara.

>-Gets off on warcrimes
...maybe Qara?

>-Uses bizarre and impractical weaponry
Foreign bodyguard?

>-Is an expert martial artist
Any really.

>-Has a secret "Reverse alignment" button hidden inside her vagina/is being mindcontrolled/is secretly good
Time will tell

>-Is played by Claudia Black
Any really, although Qara skews younger.

Thoughts anyone?

Three female minions seems a bit much.

Do you already know waht heroes your players will be? Tell me!

>Do you already know waht heroes your players will be? Tell me!
In a word? No.
...

Got a rough idea, but they have time to change it up.
One sec...

Bullshit, you've got an evil mindcontroller. Give him a brainwashed harem.

>What heroes will your players be?

>Neophyte paladin raised in a monastery who is filled with noble ideals, unwavering faith, and no idea how the world really works.
Player's pretty solid on it.
If they go the oracle route, I'm thinking of making her his sister.

>not!orc prisoner-turned mercenary, fears and respects magic users but assumes he can kill anyone else because he's so baddass. Loyal to the party because he believes he's been cursed to help them or suffer the magical german herpies.
Basic CE orc black knight done right. Class is not concrete.

>Rogue Trader Handsome Charming Funny Face Undefeated Warrior Gunfighter
Breaking them of the gunfighter idea, maybe a crossbow specialist fighter rogue who's almost as good of a diplomancer as they think they are.
A competent Gilderoy Lockhart more than Gaston McPerfect.

>cheerful cleric healer female human
No idea if this will stay the same but I like the player, always plays an upbeat PC

>Eleven illusionist trickster seeking lost fairy magic
Plays it mire serious then it sounds. Magic user type is not definitive yet.

>not!amazonian warrior woman seeming to undergo rituals to unlock the full power of her ancestrial bow.
Has a build in mind, could be cool. Fluffed a Chewbacca like friendship with Handsome Face. Imagining Grace Jones with an artifact quality bow.

I've got an elderly evil mindcontroller
Harems are a young man's game.

Also, he's not Kilgrave.
Pure mind control is possible but difficult to maintain without relics or extensive conditioning.
He prefers to operate by learning the darkest secrets of others and then using them to nudge others into being manipulated into doing what he wants.
Want a guy killed? Feed his desire for attractive young women, compel his butler to hire an attractive young maid, feed the maid's low self esteem and feelings of undesirability, then finally funnel jealous rage into the heart of her husband at opportune moment.
His hands are clean, nobody suspects anything, and his goals are achieved.

>>Neophyte paladin raised in a monastery who is filled with noble ideals, unwavering faith, and no idea how the world really works.
>Player's pretty solid on it.
>If they go the oracle route, I'm thinking of making her his sister.
The foreign bodyguard could be good foil, as he may be raised too in amonastary but under a cruel faith - Human Hive like
>>not!orc prisoner-turned mercenary, fears and respects magic users but assumes he can kill anyone else because he's so baddass. Loyal to the party because he believes he's been cursed to help them or suffer the magical german herpies.
>Basic CE orc black knight done right. Class is not concrete.
The master's manservant was once a migthy knight, now he is his prisoner ofhis own mind
INDY!
>>cheerful cleric healer female human
>No idea if this will stay the same but I like the player, always plays an upbeat PC
Student psychic may be a dark reflection of her
>>Eleven illusionist trickster seeking lost fairy magic
>Plays it mire serious then it sounds. Magic user type is not definitive yet.
>>not!amazonian warrior woman seeming to undergo rituals to unlock the full power of her ancestrial bow.
>Has a build in mind, could be cool. Fluffed a Chewbacca like friendship with Handsome Face. Imagining Grace Jones with an artifact quality bow.
Moon Knight fits as enemy to both.

...

That's some nice counter balancing there.

As team composition:
The Master directs the organisation from behind. Influences groups like LG noble's soldiers outside of his main group, he has the facade of a good man for the kingdom.
Indy is the direct leader, he is a disgraced nobles that maintain ties to several criminal groups and knows in that way what's going on. Also has a fling with the secret police. Is simply motivated by the sense of adventure and is also an avid collector of many rare objects. He does not know who exactly the master is as
the manservant is the direct medium of the master and gives orders through him. The mansevant is a juggernaut of a man.
The bodyguard serves EvilIndy because EvilIndy! once helped the Bodyguards temple.
The student comes direct from a school the master supports, after a grave "incident" she was expelledbut the Master took ehr as her personal student. Hetrains her from afar and shows himself telepathically as a old wizard.
Moon Knight is actually knows who the master is and contacted him that he wishes to support him. Is also a serial killer whose behaviour depends on the lunar phases.

The master'S view on the group
Indy: He reminds me off myself when I was 40, is a bit too vain.
Manservant: Remember, honesty is not rewarded, now he is my tool.
Bodyguard: Has a funny accent, I wonder what secrets hsi temple holds.
Student: No disciplin but her raw power will sufficice for my plans.
Moon: I wish I could simply kill him, but he is too valuable right now.

The Indy's view on the group
The master: Is he the king, master proper or a demon? I know that he can read minds so I have to work something for it.
Manservant: What a waste... I liked his stories.
Bodyguard: Best chap!
Student: A loose weapon, keep her focused on the enemy and content. I hope she dies soon.
Moon: I recognize his methods, zuturian torture... What a sick mind. Outside of that a civil and educated mind.

Manservant needs to scream but can't open his mouth.

Bodyguard's view on the group
The master: The king of my lord, I have to keep an eye open, the kingmay want to dispose of my master.
Indy: My friend, can make me smile.
Manservant: I feel awe and terror, is thsi the future of man?
Student: She is young lady that needs someone to follow but I don't know how to do that.
Moon: Madness is a terrible weapon, worse ifa skilled man holds it.

The student's view on the group.
The master: He knows many lessons but I will not be a pawn in his game! ... I hope that this terrible moment will not come because I like his company.
Indy: Why does he waste non-magical artifacts? They hold no value, still he is quite charming.
Manservant: What a waste... I liked his stories.
Bodyguard: I really want to know how he/she looks like under that hood. I like to see him fight.
Moon: I fear I awakened his paternal side of him, I can only endure less than a minute. What he does to his victims... I can kill, but I can't torture, I like Indy's collection more.

The Moon's view on the group
The master:HE SHALL BRING JUSTICE TO MY FALL - When the last day has come I will cut his face off.
Indy: I may have been become like him if not...
Manservant: We more similar than the screaming man may imagine.
Bodyguard: I think she is in love. I'm envious of her battle skill.
Student: poor girl,I will help her too find a purpose in this world.

>>-Is vaguely Eastern European
>Amelia works
Amelia is SpaceBritish

Crossbow Tiger, the greatest marksman ever to live. At first glance he's just a guy with a fuckhuge crossbow (and a pair of hand crossbows on his belt) who makes seemingly impossible shots, but he's also incredibly cunning and has a master plan. He's low-key immune to psychic powers, and simply dupes the main villain into thinking they work on him. His true motives are unknown.

He's got a dramatic flair and is definitely a show-off, and there's nothing (aside from maybe tricking people) that he likes more than a good challenge.

>Eastern European
>Amelia is SpaceBritish
So she doesn't tick every box perfectly.
I like her for it.
