Can Mobile Brigada be good or is it just a points sink trap?

Proper campaign system amongst a bunch of YJ when?

In general, they're going to be better in kill point missions since the enemy has to put more effort into removing this big chunk of points from the game. It's hard to justify spending points on durability on non-specialist models in button-pusher type missions.

Just fuck me right the fuck up senpai

A what?

I heard the warcors are getting a new logo to better reflect their role in the new sectorials.

Man i'm soo sad at Bostria bullshit, i don't care about it anymore. Being salty is tiring.

Well, i guess i'll just move on and continue playing with them again. Good thing i don't bought so much of JSA stuff.

At least there's something to hype with the rumour of new profiles.

Dossiers released, they're a fucking mess.
>old BS on Kempeitai who has a nuBS on the mini; also, PanO marksman rifle, as if I needed more reason to just convert an old one
>nuBS on Domaru
>old combi+LFT on Kuroshi
>ML on Kaizoku who has no ML option, being a spec ops (inb4 they'll update the Spec-Ops: yeah fucking right)
>redesigned ML, fucking again, soon after the last redesign (and I'm starting to suspect the lack of Keisotsu LGL is actually because CB isn't able to sculpt one)

In Nomads, Corregidor or the new merc thing? Nomads, yeah HMG can be alright if you want it tough and relatively cheap. Not great though. CJC, yeah HMG or hacker can be pretty good, maybe ML and multirifle even. HMG is especially good for supporting an Intruder cause you know that bitch is gonna die eventually, while Brigada keeps going. In the new star mercs, fuck no, not unless they get some real nice fancy links that Riot Grrls don't get to touch.

They are getting PanO weapons because guess who is funding the rebellion...

They're always a mess. And the redesigned ML and PanO marksman are a result of foreign support from other factions iirc, which is pretty cool.

There's definitely some cool stuff among this shitshow, I think. Maybe I'll even reach the acceptance stage early enough to appreciate some of it.

>And the redesigned ML and PanO marksman are a result of foreign support from other factions
Hmm, that might be one non-retarded interpretation. Still, it's 3 fewer models I might want to buy, which suits me fine.

Bostria says it in the video, though he also says the old shotgun is just a fuck up. The ML in the Kaizoku dossier is kind weird though.

...

>he also says the old shotgun is just a fuck up
Well, he is a bigger fuckup :(

Brigada are like ORCs, but slightly better. They are not one man powerhouses like their S5 compadres or as fast and furious as Grrls, but they get the job done.

I like basic MR Brigada; tough, can crack armour thanks to AP ammo and has a Light Flamethrower for some cleaning and corner guarding.

So

Now that YJ has no chance in hell of winning the dumb character war and has been reduced to a grand total of two characters, which is going to be taken away?

Hint: it's not going to just be Sun Tze 2.0

>it's not going to just be Sun Tze 2.0
Oh good, I actually use that one.

Why can't they send someone who fucking speaks english to do the fucking interviews?

Jackie Chan

Bostria is the best they've got man.

Fucking spaniards

Well, i also heard that spaniard Yu Jing players would go full brexit on the campaign, so who know? Maybe nothing since nobody is in for playing it because "Fuck Bostria"?

Eh it's probably for the best. Yu Jing is going to get steam rolled. They always get steam rolled in the meta-campaign, it's going to be a bloody massacre now with JSA becoming their own faction that will by default want to fuck YJ over. Best to not even worry or spend time on the meta-campaign when the outcome won't change.

For the last time, Scottish is still English.

PAJAMA WEARIN'

Northern English isn't even English.

How though, do you use him as an offensive sniper or something?

>How though, do you use him as an offensive sniper or something?
Somewhat. A cheaper base for Strategos and Adv Command, plus a long unless I take the MR variant, which is often needle to poke uncomfortable places. It does help that I started with Shasvastii and have a lot of luck with snipers.

kek

Eh for how expensive they are they die too easily and compared to just a regular fire team they cost the world.

That's why I never take a Brigada team. Just the one usually. Also works as a way for TO Hackers to reveal themselves for a Wildcat or whatever else has a Flamethrower in Nomads (so everything) to smoke.

Depends on when JSA starts counting as NA2.
>JSA stay in YJ until the end of B4ckd00r
>they lose the character
>they keep the loss when they move to NA2
>YJ loses no characters

>JSA loses Kuroshi Rider

>not Neko, so they can forget the resculpt for a few more years

Stop lying, there's no such character.

>Corporate Security Drones logo fro Warcors.

Betha get used to it from now on.

Man, the CSU box is going to make the game explode with Veeky Forums.

>CSU box
user... I...

IF we get one.

I painted the gun like some kind of Classic AK47 with wood paneling. He's got a Snazzy Red Scarf and people like the houndstooth pattern.

I CAN DREAM HAROLD

Not gonna happen.

Those last few threads have been wild and not even porn was made or catboys posted.

Beasts of War is a painful level of cringe

The extra guy they added in is strange, he just kind of hunches in the background behind Bostria and says something once every 5 minutes. It's a little creepy.

Tim? He's probably just camera shy.

So does the fact that the Japanese are seceding mean that the statement of "all the factions except CA are technically at peace" is false now? Seems hard to be clandestine when declaring independence backed by glowing Katana wielding cyber samurai.

Yeah, he made me wonder if he won some contest to be there or something, not exactly the type of personality you want in the middle of a camera.

No, see, NA2 isn't a faction, so it's not an inter-faction war, and the Japs don't get shit from O-12.

According to the fluff, the war is already over. We don't know the details exactly, but Uprising and the fluff in the JSA box end with some kind of cease fire between JSA and YJ. O-12 probably brokers it or something.

Maybe he's the only BoW person who plays JSA so they grabbed him as technical advisor or something.

NA2 is a faction. That's the point of the next book. Druze and the merc companies get big enough to declare independence.

>pohyu
OK it's officially the most adorable shorthand for posthuman and I'm stealing it.

The guy who is normally on their infinity vids is also a hunchback. And don't get me started on the main host. If you're reading this don't think I hate you as a person, just be more confident for fucks sake you're the face of this exclusive content.

Druze and whatnot are already independent you clown. NA2 is not a single political faction, it's a catch-all term for military forces not belonging to the major nations.

>playing a faction that relies on TAGs or Heavy Infantry

Yu Jing, second to the hyperpower, lost control of a small insurgent population that easily? They're literally not a credible power atm

Yeah, though currently it looks like Japan lost its highly industrialized territories on Shentang and carved their new homeland out of bumfuck Earth.

Yup. That's definitely my assessment of the story rn. PanO was previously "disputed geopolitical champion of the Human Sphere" and now is "undisputed champion of same."

Funny. You said that when I told you Yu Jing was only keeping Ninja.

>They're literally not a credible power atm
As if they ever were!

How does your post relate to mine?

Hello Infinity people. I'm considering expansion into your game, for now buying one Starter. But I do not really know shit about your game. Redpill me on it.
Rules, Fluff, your army, why do you think I should, I'll read everything.

Pick whichever faction you think looks coolest.

except Yu Jing

>F

Setting is sci-fi interplanetary cyberpunk with a (mostly) anime aesthetic. It's got the cyberpunk themes of "fighting the man" with three of the human factions (PanO, Yu Jing, and Aleph) representing "The Man" and three other human factions representing the "Damn the Man" contingent (Nomads, Haqqislam, and Ariadna). There's also two alien factions (Tohaa, smug biotech spess kinda-elves) and the Combined Army (extremely powerful multiracial conglomerate ruled by a tyrannical AI). As of recently there's also been some space mercenary factions added.

Rules-wise, it's a skirmish game with more or less true LoS, so it plays very different from 40k and others like it. Most models can also shoot back on the opponent's turn, so in that sense it's kinda like Blood Bowl, where if you're unlucky or make a bad decision your own dudes can get punked on your turn quite easily. Rough learning curve IMO but very different and fun, uses different parts of your brain than other minis games and the sculpts are top-notch.

>Yu Jing
Hey, they are strongest canditates for me ;_;

Honestly Yu Jing is fine if you aren't eyeing the Japanese units. Japan is splintering off of YJ, making their own little faction by themselves. If you want to get into YJ, go ahead and do it. Just avoid all the Japanese units for the time being (the Ninja in Red Veil is safe).

To add to this: All units are viable. This game is ridiculously well balanced, which is rare for a wargame.

Good, I'll keep that in mind.

Interesting. What's about that fighting/damning the man thing? Is there some kind of deeper lore/philosophy behind that you can introduce me into, in short?

What Cyberpunk stuff would you comapre it to? It is more GITS-like, rather than Deus Ex, or Blade Runner, is that impression right?

Also, game seems to have strong hacking part going on. How does it work in tabletop reality?

Where can I read more on lore of the factions, playstyles?

Can you enlighten me on

>Where can I read more on lore of the factions
Human Sphere has unit lore, the RPG books have general setting lore. There's also setting stuff in the hard copy rulebooks, but there aren't PDF copies of the lore bits of those.

The new Japs are literally getting Kutsanagi and Batou from Gits as miniatures and the mechs are rip-offs of Appleseed.

Models are cool. Plenty of textured details nowadays so that you can make them look as good as you want, low effort is rewarded and great effort even more so.

You only need about 10-16 models to play the game at the level most play it at. So you really feel like the model you put effort to paint has an impact in game.

The factions are pretty balanced against each other, mostly because most factions have shared weaponry and the ability to take similar roles, with small exceptions here and there (Tohaa having Symbiomates, Pan Oceania lacking the ability to throw regular smoke grenades).

Everything is about clandestine operations, like rival corporations stealing each others' secret tech, or kidnapping high value targets, or just general tomfoolery.

It's 175-ish years into the future, most humans have left Earth behind to live in other solar systems.

The Combined Army, one of the alien factions, is implied to be just the tip of a scouting force and all of humanity is just barely able to hold them back.

PanOceania has a penchant for high tech shooting (and some jokes about how they're kinda dumb with an average WIP 12), and they have space knights which many find attractive (might want to avoid their Military Order Starter though)

Yu Jing was a coalition of the Chinese, Koreans, and other asian countries set in space (formerly Japan).

Nomads were some humans who didn't like the seemingly friendly robot overlords and live in space ships.

Haqqislam is Golden Age Islam in Space (and on a Desert Dune-like planet).

Ariadna was a lost human colony who have lower tech but also werewolves

Aleph is the aspects of a supercomputer that helps humanity out.

Tohaa are aliens who are trying to distract the CA with humans, and have a fetish for #3.

Check OP links.

> Interesting. What's about that fighting/damning the man thing? Is there some kind of deeper lore/philosophy behind that you can introduce me into, in short?
Eh not really, Nomads are super row row fight the power but it's not a vast ideological divide between two sets of factions. I don't think Haqqislam even belong with "fighting the man", they're pretty pro "the man". They received a recreation from ALEPH, participate with ALEPH's information network, and are wholly economically dependent on factions like Yu Jing and PanOceania staying in power so they can sell steady supplies of Silk.

Suck my dick loli posting slut.

To be fair, Pano has 2/3 sectorials with Wip 13 on average.

Very cool, thank you people. I'll continue browsing through model ranges and pick something fitting.

I would love you to post your armies' pictures. I must say my biggest problems with Infinity is that default paintschemes are not always to my liking, I prefer bit less bright and colourful palette, and I want how do models look painted the other way. I am also plainly curious.

I'll post this recent picture of an alt scheme then an older picture of the rest of my non-default Haqqislam.

...

infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/33259-alternative-colour-schemes/?page=1

You may want to rifle through this page.

I've seen plenty of people do Yu Jing/JSA in various tones of Red. If you were to watch some tournament you might have been inclined that Red was their official color scheme.

I personally like their Orange and Jade scheme.

is silk just spice or is it slightly different?

Fuck you,eternal #2

It's the magical mcguffin material that allows the resurrection of dead people into new bodies.

It's used for a number of high-end biological augmentations, not just new bodies. Also for creating drugs.

Although technically it's a whole new person and I don't get the theology behind this for the MOs. Maybe there's a way of placing it in a hypomorphic framework.

#4 at the moment.

I can't wait until Yu Jing is permanently destroyed so that Independent Exrah Concordat can take it's place as a major faction.

>implying there's enough of the Concordat left alive to do so

imgur.com/a/4c7Y6

You may find this album useful.

This reads like it was written for Shadowrun ca. 1995.

Man this McDonalds Bao is fucking killing me. Shence looks pretty nice though.

It's only a new person inasofar as the physical body is concerned, the memories and thought-patterns are the same as before, since they are restored from the HDD in your brain.

As can be seen with Outrage, there's nothing stopping people from just making a new physical body with your backed-up mind while you still exist. That copy is definitely not you, where your conscience is concerned.

I know how it works, but I'm pretty sure that would make an entirely new human being, albeit identical in most ways to the original.

>What Cyberpunk stuff would you comapre it to?
Place it somewhere at the halfway point between the works of Masamune Shirow and The Dirty Pair (especially the Adam Warren run, but anything works, really). Season to taste with Bubblegum Crisis.

Haqqislam is fundamentally against Aleph controlling things because they're too humanistic for that. Yes, they trade and interact with PanO and Yu Jing peaceably, doesn't mean they like what they're doing.

Ohh, that's a big can of worms to open and way too complex a philosphical and/or ethical debate for a Bhutanese animal husbandry forum.

But apparently something is stopping the powers that be from rezzing the dipshit hackers afterwards to make use of their skills.

This is what Yu Jing deserves after abandoning us during Wotan, can’t wait to use my Ryuken against you ISS scum
