Conflict for the Cold Shoulder Planet

So for anybody wondering, there was originally a greentext thread that involved a Guardsmen the evolved into the back water system said Guardsmen was in turning into a massive warzone of massive scale. This is a continuation of the stories from that war, in a system that only got its name due to the war turning it into a shithole.

Original Thread

Recap as I understand it:
>planet is an outlier world on the fringes of some backwater segmentum
>ice world and hive planet with minor manufactorums that produce asbestos, but other than minor tithes it’s insignificant
>turns out to be a Necron tomb world though, and the Necrons are woken up by the meddling of some greedy Ad Mech dudes working with the planetary governor
>A fresh Guard regiment is sent in to deal with it, but they’re dumbass newfags so they get assraped quick
>unfortunately the Necron uprising coincides with the arrival of a minor Ork WAAAAGGHHHH, a few Space Marine chapters stopping by for fuel, a random Tau ship jumping in, a buch of Sisters of Battle also passing through, a Dark Eldar pirate raid, multiple Chaos cults’ rituals, and and the arrival of a Tyranid splinter fleet (plus genestealer cult)
>everything quickly goes to shit
>Craftworld Eldar show up to try and contain the shit
>so does more Space Marine chapters and more guard regiments
>two or three Rogue Traders pop in and sell a bunch of weapons
>the proliferation of flame and plasma weapons results in basically everything flammable on the planet catching fire
>ceases to be an ice world and is now a blasted deathworld
>warp fuckery occurs and a future version of the planet appears on a collision course with the present version
>the Inquisition tries to exterminatus this embarassment to the Imperium but loses the cyclone torpedo
>Tzeetch chaos marines do some more warp fuckery and somehow use the torpedo to merge the two versions of the planet
>just all the subplots
>all of them
>something about a shota bishop and a slaneeshi cultist chick
>Blood Ravens looting literally everything

I'm still not sure (and that may be the point) what happened when the bomb went off.

Either:
A) It merged the two versions of Stercus Ludicrum
B) The two versions still exist; the "present" one in the warp for a while and the "future" one in realspace
C) The "present " one pulled into in the warp, and will become the "future" one to keep a semi-stable loop going, while the "future" one is the only one currently in the timeline

you forgot to mention an admech titan legion showing up to help out

And most of the World Eaters, plus a Daemon engine force with Chaos Titans

I think it was the past one being pulled into the warp, however everybody evacuated the past one which means there are now possible copies of the original people invovled as was the case for a commissar

>tfw the scale of this conflict makes the War for Armageddon look like a skirmish

well, i guess i'll add this to 1d4chan now

>Sisters of Battle also passing through
Why, I'm downright insulted.

>mfw I had to be the one to archive that shit

eh, actually i dont feel like it, someone else do it

The Order of the Ermine Mantle are the real heroes.

Shit yeah I almost forgot
>Cannoness K and her squad rolled through and got shit done
>had possession of the cyclone torpedo for about 20 minutes
>seriously it’s like everyone was playing hot potato with that thing
>also somehow one of her squad died and became a Living Saint

Byt did our Ecclesiarch Novitiate and the Governor's Daughter find true love???

Governer's Daughter poster had said that it was, since the shota-bishop redeemed her!

So is this thread meant to be a continuation of the previous or just a discussion thereof? Because I'm not sure we'd have quite the same spark. I might be a little bit biased, though- tracing 40k waifus over shitty WikiHow drawings is surprising time-consuming for its worth as a gag.

I really liked the idea of picking up again in a week or so.

Its a continuation, though it can also be used for discussion for what you guys like about our little writer faggotry.

Yeah can we do that instead, I’m kinda burnt out, perhaps we can use this thread like and try and figure out just what actually happened happended in that last entry with DustBunny, the “Gifted” Guardsmen, and the Blood raven strike force, because I am still somewhat confused about that.

I've been doing most of the Blood Raven posts
>Be Blood Raven Sergeant Takken Hanoverfist
So far we've managed to "recover" several "gifted relics", including but not limited to:
>Salamander Wargear
>Dark Angels Wargear
>An entire company of Primaris Ultramarines (they need a paint job)
>A crate containing 100 Ogryns
>100 Baneblades
>several Titans (I think four?)
>a broken Eldar Grav Tank
>several crates of IG Flashlights
>several crates of IG plasma weapons
>several squads of IG
>the dozer blade off the front of the sororitas repressor
>a bunch of spare Sororitas armor and weapons
>half of an Inquisitorial retinue
>The Canonness' scarf
>an Ermine-pattern sororitas cape
I think a heretic Raven (dustbunny) has made off with a Cyclone Torpedo.
And I'm currently trying to figure out how to "gift" the Living Saint Brigitte and a Hive City to the Blood Ravens without anybody noticing.

Let the games begin?

Any other fluff bits of our story that need to be cleared up

Oh, and we lifted some Grey Knights wargear, too.
For reasons.

....they're important chapter relics, after all.

Did the Orks chase after the 'Nids or go to the future world when they broke off to look for a "betta skrap"?

I believe they chased after the ‘nids, but don’t quote me on that.

As far as I recall, the Orks are still present with a few Eldar and Nid elements. However some of the Eldar left but where followed by nids but that is as far as that fluff bit goes so we can assume those two factions are still fighting.

Also:
-Is your OTP oblivious bishop driven to accidental heresy by his Slaaneshi lady or secret heretic gal gradually redeemed by that holy D?
-What exactly caused shit to hit the fan in the first place? It got "retconned" enough to be actual GW canon.
-Who is best Ermine Mantle girl?

>58385822
>An entire company of Primaris Ultramarines
>several squads of IG
>The Canonness' scarf
Okay but how?

>So basically
>Crons disapoofed
>Eldar of both variety’s cut their losses and fucked off,
>Nids chased the Eldar
>Orkz chased the Nids
>Slaaneshi’s and Nurglite cults virtually wiped out
So all that’s left are the Frighten Tau Survivors that got knocked onto the planet by an Ork ship, and the Chaos Forces primarily composed of Khornates, am I correct?

I think we should more use this page as a place to take stock and record information.

For the first one, the Slaaneshi cultist got redeemed by the Holy D as stated by the people who did it

For what caused it, a Necron world was found and the Inquisitor who found it was going to deal with it but the local governor convinced him to let his son do it. The assault went horribly wrong when it was found out the Guard did not know how to set the power level on their lasguns which led to the commissar assigned to them to execute the regiment leader who was the Governors son. The Governor tried to cover it up by trying to assassinate the Commissar but he failed and the Sisters arrived to deal with the Govs heresy which lead to the cluster fuck forming.

As for best girl well, that itself will lead to another massive war

As for the blood ravens getting all of those "gifts" well they are blood ravens which is enough of an explanation.

So far yes, though if we end up continuing this thread I have a feeling the Necrons will be back, along with all the major faction just to keep the cluster fuck going

I agree with this

I sadly didn't get to join in until the very end, with the historian, but I was loving every second of collective write fagging.

As I had stated before, I feel like we should do this once a week or something.

It's just a regular session of dow!

Or prehaps it just follows this bad of loyal guardsmen, sobs, Astartes, zealots, and other various imperial retards, as they travel across the galaxy. Righting wrongs, slaying slanneshi daemons with mighty d weapons of big E, and generally fucking everything up.

If possible, we might want to create some collective google doc where we can plan better plan this out if we want to continue this writer faggotry.

> be me, Slaaneshi heretic with blessed penis
> barely survive the massive +12 faction clusterfuck
> Khornates try to mount head on pike no less than sixty-four times
> they somehow fail
> laughingslaaneshi.heretic
> tired of this shit, light a coke blunt in an alleyway
> World Eater sees, soon an entire squad, plus cultists are chasing me
> they catch me and I'm about to be fucked
> notinthefunway.thirstygoddess
> the moment before the axe falls the planet is swallowed into the warp
> whatluck.pornhub
> warp fuckery happens
> somehow I'm in the exact same alleyway, but in the future (present) planet
> where'd the Khornates go?
> whocares.dildo
> suddenly see some rando fag dragging on a blunt just like mine
> wait a minute
> it's me, from an alternate timeline where Khornates never caught me
> but wait, where's future me?

> tfw this is my fetish
> tfw Slaaneshi
> tfw benis

>Okay but how?
Some of it I'm hazy on, because they weren't my posts.
>An entire company of Primaris Ultramarines
Guilliman sent some Primaris Ultramarines to the world; somehow the Magpies appropriated them. Reasons were never given, just YOINK.
>several squads of IG
It may be just one squad of stormtroopers. There were several posts about the IG being "gifted" to the Blood Ravens and one or two about defectors. I interpreted that as "several". Again, I was not responsible for those posts, they were just there, so I guess they were YOINK because they weren't nailed down.
>The Canonness' scarf
That was an early post in that thread:
>Hey, that's a nice scarf
>gift it to the chapter
but it seems to have been ignored, and I never followed up when i started Blood Raven-ing.
>recovertherelicforthechapter.vox

Discord is useful for such a thing, if anybody wishes to do so

>As for best girl well, that itself will lead to another massive war
Teresefag detected.

>gift it to the chapter
You could read a lot of those as "we're going to try for it" rather than "it's been done."

That will be a good idea, certainly wouldn't mind discussing some writer faggotry with you magnificent bastards.

I can make a discord if people care

So I find it amusing that we managed to get alot out of the Ermine Mantle, an Order that technically exists, but has zero fluff.

I was wondering if the Canoness or anyone else had input on giving them some background or context.

I know that Ermine is associated with nobility, and they seem to be a glorious bunch of catty bitches. I started to imagine them as being founded as the bodyguard of a particularly important Sister Famulus (sp) and going from there.

>You could read a lot of those as "we're going to try for it" rather than "it's been done."
I dunno, I kinda like
's suggestion:
>As for the blood ravens getting all of those "gifts" well they are blood ravens which is enough of an explanation.
and I can take it forward from there.
I really like the idea of ganking a Living Saint for the chapter. It's got a ridiculous level of preposterous to it that tickles my funny bone.

So if anyone is willing to, I've got a quick discord server set up
discord.gg/8qapM9

>Not being a Teresefag

Meh, some people prefer Olga, some people prefer Bridget. The key thing is, is that we all have someone to bone!

Yeah, but Olga ain't a basic bitch that's cattier than a litterbox.

I was basically thinking "Reasonable Sisters" (except, you know, that's relative), but also super vain. Everybody has a scarf or a cape or something, and they all make sure their hair is looking fabulous and their makeup is just so before going into battle.

Which I guess, based on their art, is what regular Sisters are anyway, but they don't tend to be portrayed that way.

>Or prehaps it just follows this bad of loyal guardsmen, sobs, Astartes, zealots, and other various imperial retards, as they travel across the galaxy
I made a point of bookending by at least putting the half-dozen Sisters and Bishop x Governor's Daughter together, because I figured people would be more interested in continuing with the characters that folks ended up developing out of things rather than "The Continuing Adventures of Clusterfuck Planet."

It doesn't really matter now that people are using this thread for discussion but it might get some mileage if it picks back up.

>Olga ain't a basic bitch that's cattier than a litterbox.
Literally the entire order is cattier than a litter box. That's the entire point. They all thing every single other sororita is a drunken hoe, while all behaving like drunken hoes

Well, a few people are already in it so far.

>I made a point of bookending by at least putting the half-dozen Sisters and Bishop x Governor's Daughter together, because I figured people would be more interested in continuing with the characters that folks ended up developing out of things rather than "The Continuing Adventures of Clusterfuck Planet."

And a good idea to say the least. I'm sure that, out of the 100+ people who were involved, atleast 10% will wish to continue it. I know I'd love to see something more come out of this
Except for Bridget. Bridget is pure waifu and love

I personally like to think that, hundreds of years after the battle, historians will look back on the last war for Cold shoulder, and lose their minds over how such a cluster fuck of retards, Xenos, heretics, and incompetent jag-offs, could gather together, and then an ice world into a literal hell, with blood oceans, trees made of fire, and city scapes of scrap

He'll! I'd pay to see their faces

Thats the joke. Everyone in the Order is a catty bitch... except Bridget. And she's totally oblivious to this.

And yeah, exactly. Basically, sisters that can be Reasonable and work better with other imperial forces and aren't all aggressive crusading, and can do the Imperial political game quite well, but are also very vain and stuck up.

I dunno.
I thought Olga was more of the girl the others kept around to feel better about themselves, while Olga was a little slow and wanted to be popular, so she either ignored or accepted the bitchiness and thought she was just one of the clique.
Or at least that's how I wrote her for most of her segments.

Go for it

1d4chan.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Ermine_Mantle#Notable_Members

Their whole internal power dynamic is basically passive-aggressive office ladies in space. Their internal monologues are hateful as hell but they'd never say any of it out loud except to "approved" punching bags like Olga. It's all smiles and backhanded compliments.

Konstanzia isn't "a bitchy Canoness," she is Canoness because she is queen bitch. Which is why she's so vindictive- any minor slight against her is a challenge to her authority.

It's like the scholia all over again

Hi historian. I'm the guy who did the one post about the Junior Archival Sub-assistant Scrivener (Probationary) that died while standing in for his supervisor.
I'm planning on using the supervisor (Junior Archival Assistant Scrivener) as a re-occuring minor character that records information concerning what the hive-militia troops he ends up with experience. He'll be using a combination of dataslates and diaries that he obsessivly caches at the site of the ruined archive where he worked. That may provide your character with a "primary source" to refute as being "insufficiently inspiring".

>be commisar on ork klan clean up duty after that shitshow of a campaign
>squad consists of left over guardsmen from the campaign
>the mordian told the cadian to stop being a bitch about cadia since they lost their home too
>needless to say this didn't end well
>also i managed to find a strange leash today probably from those eldar bastards
>well at least i have a way to make sure the last kriegsman doesn't kill himself

Bump

That was such a good thread. If old/tg/ was like that I see why the oldfags keep rattling their canes.

But if no one has any drive to continue I'd rather the thread go down with dignity than suffer a series of Hollywood sequels.

I think the people above have the right idea. Stop spamming the idea so it stays fresh, but record as much as possible on 1d4chan for later.

>A crate containing 100 Ogryns
This post gave me a hearty chuckle when it happened.

I was posting as the Xenos inquisitor, plus one off posts for the first ork warboss to show up and the sleeping rogue trader. Luckily bishopAnon took the RT's seneschal and made him amusing as shit. Good thread but it was getting a bit much towards the end.

>lydia4cannoness40018

Weekly could work, gives folks time for inspiration to strike and then polish/discard ideas as appropriate ready for the thread.
Only possible problem is if some overzealous mod decides it should be on /qst/...

Has the page for the battle itself been made yet?

>It may be just one squad of stormtroopers. There were several posts about the IG being "gifted" to the Blood Ravens and one or two about defectors. I interpreted that as "several". Again, I was not responsible for those posts, they were just there, so I guess they were YOINK because they weren't nailed down.
Guardfag here, as far as I know, it was just the one squad with an indeterminate number of Guardsmen who’s acting leader tried to present themselves as a gift to chapter in order to secure a way off planet and avoid their imminent doom via either Cyclonic torpedo or Planet Crashing. I just started writing from different perspectives after I took a look and realized “Wow this is awful, i’ve Only been writing from the perspective of one guy and I haven’t even done a good job of making him interesting, I really oughta flesh them out a little bit more” so I named him Fessus, borrowed Decarus, and made up Marcus, Phil, and Lloyd and tried to expand a little bit on them.

Also I was under the impression that the Bomb was going to be the Climax, with all of the stories uniting as everyone chased after the Bomb to get rid of it/ throw it at the future Planet, but then everyone else was still doing their own thing, and then the bomb exploded but not really, it just created future planet, at least I think so, and now I’m just confused where that leaves us. And why were the Commisars attacking the battle barge when the bomb was on the planet?

>It could be more on fire

Top kek

Olga/Steve/BlooodRavens/SalamandersFag here.
The bomb should have been the climax.
Every story, no matter how good, needs an ending.

The Bomb blows up.
Indeterminate shit happens. (Clone world, future world, Warp magic, ????, PROFIT)
Eldar cut losses and flee.
Tyranids go after the Eldar.
Some of the Orks go after the Tyranids.
Tau are stranded against thousands of World-Eaters.
Necrons disapperated.
Commissars from past and present both remain in this timeline, along with most of the surviving Guard.
Sisters reunite and continue being bitches.
Space Marine chapters are all still in fighting shape.
Blood Ravens can totally prove they saved the day, completely on purpose, and that those were definitely gifts, and anything questionable was from the other timeline's planet.
Ex-Governor's Ex-Whore or an Ex-Daughter got purified by the holy D.
Shota Bishop is still dense as adamantium, and his flock of thousands is still all armed and purge-happy.
Inquisitors are all varieties of dead, useless, or ignoring their office to get their dicks wet.

There's going to be a clean-up against the traitor legion, who aren't stupid enough to stay and be wiped out to a man since Kharn can yell the loudest and isn't retarded.
Orks will keep fighting because Orks.
Necrons are nearly defeated since they phased out to a tomb laced with a million melta-bombs.
Even the fires will eventually be put out.
Just another day at the Imperium.

So basically we came up with a better dawn of war 3 plot then dawn of war 3

If no one else will then I guess I will. Time to learn how to internet

>implying Dawn of War 3 had an actual plot
>also, mfw when some shitposters somewhat inconsistent green texts created a better plot then a fully funded company

>Only possible problem is if some overzealous mod decides it should be on /qst/...
Quests are run by one person. This isn't a quest, unless somebody who hates fun stretches the definition.

>The bomb should have been the climax.
>Every story, no matter how good, needs an ending.
That was my plan but since attaching shitty arts to my posts was half the fun I was a little too slow on the draw before people got ahead of me.

Also, here's the archive for anyone interested:
suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/58335731/

So then... what now? Where do we go from there?

Part two: Future planet boogaloo.

>Where do we go from there?
Depends on whether people want "keep doing the same thing and hope it stays good" or "do other things with our fun new characters."

Well one thing

One Sisterfag did some of the info here but if others can fill out more that would help

1d4chan.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Ermine_Mantle

>but if others can fill out
Much like sister Olga.

>Sister Olga - A more rotund member of the Order
Lies and slander. Sister Olga is fit and thick.

Why in the Emperor's Name, Blessings be upon Him, did I spend ten minutes laughing at this?

Fit, thick, waifu.

>waifu
That's Terese.

>not picking Big Konnie K

Bridgette is best girl, that's the whole point of her character you dumbass.

I think it just pulled the Past plant into the posistion of the future planet at the last second, meaning t narrowly avoided death by future planet, but it’s not the same as the original future planet, as there are some differences in the timeline, such as Crazy eyes still being alive and the original future Commisar havning never seen a future planet in his time line, meaning that instead of becoming a loop of planet crashing, it just essentially dodged by teleporting.
I think.
Fucking hell Dustbunny why did you have to go make the ending so goddamn confusing? This is like Cable levels of Time confusing travel bullshit and exactly why I was skeptical of the future planet as soon as that user made that post. It always details the story into being about the time travel itself and trying to figure out what just happened instead of it just being a plot device.

>Best girl
>Misspells her name

Yeah. While I think this was largely a great example of collaborative storytelling working, I think everything went downhill once there were two planets.

It's not exactly hard, Tzeentch's bullshit caused the planet to be chucked into the warp, and then it got vomited out again into the past slightly.

I assumed the second planet was just meant to crash into the first one, giving it a conclusive end, with any characters we wanted to keep leaving.

Hey guys - need some help. NOt really use to wiki-ing - how do I make a Gallery in like some other articles?

We really need to save all of Canoness's edits for posterity.

It went downhill once there were too many major ideas to track. The best parts were from the characters introduced in the first ~20 posts- the Commissar, the Bishop, the Governor and his daughter, the Inquisitor, the Canoness, plus the later things that related to those, like the Rogue Trader who was trafficking with the Governor's family and the other Ermine Mantle Sisters.

The first instance of planet two being mentioned was and you can't have the planet from the future destroy itself because that's a paradox.

You have the characters interacting in the aftermath, maybe beyond that.

>They all chase the chaos forces to another system that isn't currently on fire and fix both those problems
>The Sisters have to be prim and proper for a meeting in the rebuilt governor's palace, along with representatives from all the Space Marine chapters, with the Shota Bishop
>The Dark Eldar are chasing the Sisters because defeat sucks and they want to get even. Sisters hide out with either the Salamanders or the Blood Ravens.
>The 'Stormtrooper' 'Serfs' accidentally lose brother Dustbunny when taking him for a walk. Dark Angels in pursuit!
>A Duo of Commissars tail the Blood Ravens, sure that they're up to HERESY! Become mustache-twirling recurrent antagonists!
>The Inquisitor is called before a tribunal for failing to exterminatus and calls every party on world as a witness to buy time
>The Sisters have to re-capture all the Eversor assassins that are still on the loose, so they borrow the mob of fanatics for a few hours with middling results
>ect

We've got strong (if stereotypical) characters. There's no reason they can't have more adventures. It's just this one that's been nicely wrapped up.

The bomb made way more sense for that purpose. The planets colliding is an ending that creates a time paradox, and who knows what that means? Can the planets even actually collide? Should everyone evacuate? Because they didn't.

Since it’s obviously not the original future planet, wouldn’t that mea if it got vomited into the past again there would be three planets?

Honestly, if the Future planet had been the only instance of Time travel bullshit, and/or if it had just stayed a threat and not been made contact with, it would have been a lot easier to work with, as this giant imminent threat. It’s when going balls deep into the consequences of time travel bullshit that it muddles everything.

I thought that the future planet itself got thrown back to the past to become the initial future planet, and the "real" planet never moved.

Those are all good ideas, but the main sticking point is that most people here, myself included, are still in arguement over whether or not the time travel future planet plot as been resolved, or just extended with new consequences, and how to react if it’s the latter.

>tfw got sidetracked and never posted in the first thread

>ByTheEmperor.vox
>My fortune's finally turning around

I think you hit the nail on the head for why we're stuck. The question is, how do we resolve it?

>Since it’s obviously not the original future planet
Why?

Some people were going Days of Future Past with the future planet (Canoness Lydia, Future Commissar) whereas none of that was actually the case when it got sent back in time, so it doesn't work as a loop.

Nothing stops you from just dropping it unresolved. Especially when the last Canoness post gives you an out.

I don’t wanna sound like a dick here, but personally I think we oughta retcon everything up to Dustbunny’s last post and, instead of having the original planet travel backwards in time to become another future planet, have it travel forwards in time by a few months, to a point in time after the Future planet has either crashed into the sun, drifted out of the system, assumes a stable orbit somewhere else that doesn’t have any collision chance with the original planet, or just gotten blown up by something else. This would allow the original planet to avoid it’s destruction via future self, without introducing more Time travel bullshit related problems.
