Noob question, but is it smarter to count the portfolio as sats or as USD when buying in? At first I looked at USD, then I started to look exclusively at sats (or rather at the ethereum's fractions, whatever they are called), but now I honestly don't know which is the smartest thing to do.

Now if you would of sold into bitcoin you would of doubled your gains and still have .5 bitcoin. now lets look at the other side, same scenario but this time bitcoin drops to 10 cents people exit all altcoins to cash out or "buy low" of you sold into bitcoin your 50 cents would turn into 10 cents with 0.5 bitcoin but if you stay in your alt your 50 cents turned into 2.5 cents
