I can do all kinds of janky interactions with the tokens, but the fact remains you need equipment and auras that are cheap to put on him, and cheap ones are usually bad.

Just think about the value increase from cheap ones. They basically read >(regular ability) when ~ attacks, put a 3/1 Elemental token in play tapped and attacking, exile this token at the end of combat
