How would you feel if Archaon was Redeemed? How would you do it if so?

Attached: A9C9853A-0008-40B2-BCA2-B4E6661721D8.jpg (1536x2000, 631K)

Archaon redeemed sounds as dull and faggy as bland OP.

Will Fishelves be cute or typical schlock?

Attached: 89d479d3297768ac97bfde9ce4c20a7f.jpg (520x500, 60K)

Bretty good OP this time. Do we have any similar art of Archaon BTFO Nagash?

Soon

Attached: 63534030-55CA-4300-8268-F330EB5BD289.jpg (400x513, 38K)

But the respawn is a horrible fate? You literally feel excruciating pain no matter what and you lose parts of your soul

What don't you understand?

If Archaon was going to be redeemed, he'd have been redeemed in the End Times. Now, I feel that he's ultimately lost forever.

A better question would be why is he still the Everchosen? What is his motivation to fight for Chaos, to take over the Mortal Realms and bring them under the dominion of Chaos? Is it just cosmic ennui, because he feels that it is his destiny and that you cannot fight destiny, so he might as well follow it? Is it because he is a true believer in the powers of Chaos, and thinks that it would be better for all the mortals to live in the Realm of Chaos? Does he think that if he does so, he can become the Sixth, or Fifth, or Fourth, or the Most Powerful Chaos God?

Once you're there, then you can work out how he could redeemed and brought to the light

It’s more the fact that all we are shown is how amazing and flawless the Stormcast are and how they never lose fights.

I have yet to read a story where the Stormcast don't die and talk about how terrible it is to be reforge and are anxious about it

He fights because he has nothing else in his life. Conquest and destruction are the only things that bring him enjoyment. Basically he is Cell.

have you read any of the actual books? Because they have been shown to suffer, fail, die, become traumatised, be cast as soulless monsters, lament for the loss of their couls and be driven by the desire to clear the mists of their own memory.

A horrible fate, bit a chamce to fight again. It just doesnt havebthe finality of a final death. It's why I can't get into Chaos becaise the daemons keep coming back no matyer how often they are killer

>GW makes Facebook post about how to make your army /YourDudes/.
>Says to consult battletomes and fiction.
>Comments are full of legacy army players bitching at GW.
GW needs to their shit together.

Attached: IMG_4963.jpg (1000x1000, 211K)

Have the stormies won very often? I don’t even read much fluff and I see lots of defeats.

Fuck this autocorrect for only working when I don't want it to.

Attached: 1464862372574.png (242x241, 101K)

But user, Cell is far more perfect.

Attached: A8C960F6-7E22-4AA4-B8D6-2BAA28D1D1A1.jpg (680x825, 113K)

But the person fighting again isn't the same person
Stormcast can die physically, mentally, spiritually and are not allowed to give up

They also said you shouldn't name 120 grots but i soon proved them wrong.

The entire realmgate wars was victory after victory. Even if order didn't win, the SCE still won as they walked out with what they wanted.

Sounds like those Legacy bitches need to shut the fuck up and get creative.

What’s GW’s fault there?

Make sure to write their names on their base.

Same as a Space Marine. The book Dante does a far better job of portraying this sort of thankless existence than any eternal I read in Ghal Maraz.

Dante sounded genuinely tired. Gardus sounds like he doesn't know any better

>What’s GW’s fault there?
Pissing them off in the first place.

In the Realmgate rulebooks, they win about 2/3rds of the time in every book, and usually that 1/3rd was more often a Pyrrhic victory

So a form of cosmic ennui then. Kinda reinforces my point that he's irredeemable then
>no family or friends to bring him back from the brink
>no attachment to the Mortal Realms
>not even his former faith in Sigmar could bring him back, because if it could have, it would have in the End Times

Space Marines can fully die though they have a better deal in some ways while Casts don't

Also Read Hammerhal and or Plague Garden if you haven't

But what about when they die in a narrative campaign?

Have 200 back up names?

Oracle of Tzeentch did say he's not 100% lost yet though.

Well since i don't actually play greenskins it's not my issue, but for those interested here are the names i put on the GW post...

Do all fyreslayers have orange beards? Is it genetic or do they dye them orange? How fluffy would it be to have fyreslayers with brown/black/grey beards?

>Space Marines can fully die though they have a better deal in some ways while Casts don't
I don't see it. Space Marines either die early in their careers or live so long they forget who they were and lose any emotional attatchment to the mortals they defend, or het entombed in a dreadnought where existence is a constant shift from dreams that last decades to drug field hazes of reality where all you see.are infamiloar faces calling you brother and expecting you to fight even if you aren't in full possession of your faculties.

That sounds like the deal Stormcast get with fewer benefits.

Magic *snort snort*

Who, Archaon? Maybe, but he still needs to make the step himself and that could take a long time. He'd need to want something outside of war & conquest, something to attract him to that, and an opportunity to go for it free from the Chaos gods. At the moment, there's nothing in his characterisation that would be a hook for him to be redeemed.

Each Lodge has their own beard colours, mostly dyed, stained, or otherwise coloured. Orange is just because the Vostarg(sp?) Lodge are the poster boys and because that's what Slayers were. As an example, I think the Greyfyrd(?) might have grey beards. I do think the point is that all fyreslayers in the same lodge have the same beard colour

GW is way ahead of you.

Attached: Fyreslayers_Sigmarlore.jpg (720x960, 128K)

Fuck sake. I don't want my shadespire fyreslayers to look generic. I'm thinking different colour beards and woad style face paint, or decaying zombie looking fyreslayers due to being stuck in shadespire too long.

I assume it’s Wakfu rules, you believe in a specific God, your appearance visibly alters in extreme ways.

No it's bullshit magic rules. They originate fromAqshy so they all have red\orange\black hair to signify the colors of fire and ash

Thanks Anons, I guess I am going for decaying zombie looking fyreslayers then.

Alright, so to resurrect the hopes and dreams of the Jurassic Park list, what about something like this? Still lets you get your hands on the Bloodclaw Starhost, except you have to downgrade one of the Scar-Vets down to a Cold One. And if you want to, you can drop the Ripperdactyls in order to get more Knights, but if you're going to go Jurassic Park, you're a pussy if you don't bring some pterodactyls.

Dude, Balance of Power has a part of him raging at the injustice of Chaos. It's this part that the enemies of Chaos can use to turn him against the Chaos Gods again.

>he still needs to make the step himself

No, he doesn't. In the same book, did you see Torglug stepping up to be redeemed? No, he was hammered and then redeemed. What allowed his redemption was the spark of god that remained in him that didn't die with Nurgle's corruption.

Sauce this or shut up

>high fantasy multiverse.
>bullshit magic rules are a problem.
stop eating your glue user.

they'reyour models user, and the realms are big enough for you to fluff it up anyway you want. Maybe they're all greybeards because they cover their hair in the ashes of their ancestors before battle, or they grind the ashes of enemy fortresses against their skin with each new victory.

Maybe they have golden hair that has been washed in the dew of the realm of life, as a sign of friendship between them and the sylvaneth after the war of life.

Maybe its jet black from decade of mining deep in the realm of shadow?

you do you user, if anyone tells you it's wrong them give em the old fork in the eye.

isn't archaon out to defy chaos by using it for his own means now? He's been fucked over by the gods and said "Fuck it, I have my own followers, I'm gonna make my own pantheon." I vaguely recall reading that he's so powerful now that he is beginning to deprive the four of worship even as they give him power, almost making him a Malal like figure.
Plus he's getting all that sweet slaanesh tiddy worship while the beast with a thousand backs is chained up.

No it's just the default colour cause Slayers and Fire

They can be any colour my man

Fuck Idoneth

WHEN THE FUCK AM I GETTING MY ROOT KINGS GW REEEEEEEEEE

paint your dispossessed brown and green lmao

Fair enough, I haven't read that yet, but I did know about Torglug/Tornus. That is a hook that could be used. My issue with "he just needs to get hammered and the spark of good is what is needed" is that there is little character growth and agency compared with making the step himself, just being redeemed because of the spark of good is a bit more passive. It could be done with Archaon, but I think for the Everchosen, it needs to be more his own doing.

That's only my opinion, so disregard it if you will

FUCK YEAH ROOT KINGS, BRING IN BADGER RIDING GNOMES

I had a couple dumb ideas to add allies to my seraphon and felt like running them here for feedback and suggestions

one was running some converted daughters of khaine as stand ins for amazons, descendants of ancient amazons of Lustria that had particularly decent relations with the lizardmen back int he day, the fliers would get fancy birb wings and the nagas would get a new coat of paint to imply they were blessed by Sotek in some way, or somthing I'm open to suggestions.

another was running some amazons as wanderers or freeguilders, with the latter having traded protection and gold for guild weapons.

the last and most ambitions (and possibly dumbest) was some manner of living descendant of the lizardmen that boarded the ships with the slann, whatever they are they cant have the daemon rule, appearance wise they'd contrast their ancestral shades with a moderny feathered look, no longer the cold blooded enforcers of old they seek to live up to that legacy with hot blooded determination, unsure of name for new dino people or what to run them as.

Sounds dumb as fuck, plus you can't ally them with Seraphon.

well I was aware it was dumb, but I didn't know they couldn't ally, I was under the impression all Order factions could work together

Not if you want to use your special rules.

when do i get porn

Honestly if Dispossessed every get a battletome, I would not be surprised if they were one of the pre-made fluff factions.

If you’re playing casual with friends you’re all good, narratively.

If playing with rulesfags you’ll be playing gimped under Grand Alliance abilities and Artifacts.

Why not a separate faction, like Kharadrons or Fyreslayers? Obviously not anytime soon as they're just something Josh Reynolds wrote up, but maybe in a few years

>in fluff, BCR have banded together with Chaos and Order armies alike, for the sake of hunger
>no official rules allow this in game
>Stuck with dumbass Orruks and hideous Grot, and inferior Ogor models

Why live?

Attached: 78995B0E-91DC-4A4E-93FD-18D05B360F9E.png (400x395, 272K)

well, then I suppose I could run them together in more narrative games and in more competitive play I could run them separately but with the same counts-as fluff, if only for variety. that said which would be the best fit for the third concept?

That's why Narrative is a thing

>Pissing them off in the first place
I'm playing legacy shit and I'm fine with GW politic lately - we nearly got more releases in Q1 this year than in the whole 2017

>no official rules allow this in game
It's called narrative and open play games. You just can't do it in matched

order armies too have allied with chaos
it doesn't mean anything

Yeah, the fact that we went from having working rules for neutral factions like Ogre Kingdoms and Tomb Kings in WHFB to that getting completely scrubbed clean in AoS is pretty fucking retarded. Especially when you consider shit like Fyreslayers working for Chaos to destroy the Lantic Empire (which would have been an Order army). They literally break the Grand Alliance system in fluff but limit shit like this in the actual game.

But fucking why. This wasn't an issue in WHFB.

>witch elves are ugl...u territory holding

Attached: 29178784_1602246486477481_3032264322773417984_o.jpg (801x1200, 60K)

>This wasn't an issue in WHFB
But it's not WHFB anymore. WHFB is a dead game with no support - still, you are free to play it if it is so important to you to run mixed ogors and nurgle daemons in matched games.

No even in Open your army must be part of one Grand Alliance. So idem for narrative.

GW should create a variation of the Allies rules to allow a selection of mercenary units to make cross Grand alliances armies possible (mainly Fireslayer, BCR and Seraphon I guess).

user...
it's bodypaint

enjoy the vacation

What? They do lose fights. At mount Kronus the Hammers of Sigmar were crushed. At Shyish the Anvils of the Heldenhammer were defeated soundly because Nagash chickened out of the deal, in Chamon the effort to take the All-Gate ended in bitter failure and many were killed so hard they couldn't be reforged. At Ghur the Ironjawz beat the SCEs asses after fighting alongside them against chaos.

>No even in Open your army must be part of one Grand Alliance
Does it?

Put on some music, a film, an audiobook, battlereport, etc in the background. Once you have begun to paint you will keep on going while listing to stuff. Works for me anyways, so give it a try user

Different people different tolerance user. The GW today isn't the same GW that fucked up the End Times-AoS transition but the current GW seems more content to bury their mistakes rather than fix them. Hence the anger and the shitpposting.

Felt like making a small skirmish group a la Realms of Chaos. Just waiting on 2 more RoC-era chaos dudes and a Hasslefree model to convert up as the leader.

Since this pic I've also converted the flamer guy's head and made a daemon.

Uh, user. You're not supposed to paint the transparent stands of your endriniggers.

Aw shucks. I bet you'll be even happier to know they'll be a (somewhat) Tzeentch Warband.

That’s what nail-polish remover is for after completion. Spilled a bottle minutes after moving my guys and it destroyed the wooden chairs it splashed on.

My Sigmar Marauders.
Backstory:
>Tribal nomads descended from the King's guard of a nation lost to besieging Chaos and Greenskins.
>Rather than facing a losing war, the King ordered his men to evacuate the city via secret tunnels while the two forces fought each other for the spoils
>The army split into its divisions to keep their numbers small, resolving to survive and strike back at their enemies through opportunistic raids
>By the time Sigmar returns to reclaims the mortal planes, all that is left of them are the tribal descendants that are very similar to the Chaos marauders they fight
>Some are massive, some are mutated, but all are still staunchly loyal to Sigmar.
>Tribe is divided into clans based on what section of the army they descended from
>The Sooga clan descended from the Songart, the soldiers tasked with patrolling the walls during the day
>The Nisa clan comes from the Night Shielt, the night patrol that took over guarding the walls for the Songart
>Also the Nisa wear cloaks of tanned ork leather.
>Each clan has warriors who pass down their old, but still maintained soldiers kit like family heirlooms, and scavenge gear from ruins and enemies to fill what they are missing.

Still painting them. First time I ever painted models so it's kind of a hassle as I am still learning what paints to use to get the effects I want.

Ah. Well then I wish you good luck.

Attached: 1520887112605.jpg (647x506, 134K)

Mind showing that Plague Drone off? That colour scheme looks interesting.

Neat user!

BTW I'm still convinced that the old Lady Atia inside intel about the Darkoath being originally an Order Barbarians faction (worshipping Sigmar, meant to replace free guild (model wise) as the common human inhabitant of the Realms, from where the SCE were recruited) is totally true.

Getting through training and then plotting army to use a contractor's pay to snatch up.

it's okay, you'll always be papa's child, even if you're gay.

I want to die

Louen Leoncur ascended to godhood during End Times but got squatted with all the other Brettonians

Grimnir taking Gotrek to be his replacement but he is still not present.

General lore stuff like that, stuff that was supposed to bring legacy players into AiD and give them a consolation prize for losing totally in End Times were forgotten either partially or entirely.

And that some factions are utterly broken(didpossed) and only seem to be getting worse

>Be me

>Own full dark eldar army too
