What's your favorite jank that's exclusively enabled by a single commander, and no other deck?

>What's your favorite jank that's exclusively enabled by a single commander, and no other deck?
Most of the shit in Hapatra. I can't think of another deck where Nest of Scarabs is viable.

>Thread Question
This boy is one of the very few ways to "cheat" Experience Counters in Kalemne. A mechanic they decided to give out like candy to nearly all of her counterparts.

>Winding Canyons went up $10 because the CommandZone guys talked about it in a podcast
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!

Try the longbow if you already haven't, fellow Hapatrabro.

Attached: longbow.jpg (200x284, 21K)

I fucking love Hapatra, it's a shame I get hated out as soon as people see her because they're afraid I'm running Infect.

>put decklist for new commander together
>play test it a bit
>lose all interest in build the deck irl

Rude

Blades of velisvel is only just useable in karrthus.

I've drawn it twice and cast it never. One day I'll pull it off

>Someone who browses these threads actually has a Tabernacle
Shit mang I wish I had one. Although I'm content with the Cradle I got back in 2010 at GenCon for like $50.

Think of all the money you're saving.

That's not even a good reason to be scared of Hapatra. Persist combos or just overrunning with snakes are much more viable wincons with her.

Anyone mind helping with my new semibudget BR Grenzo list? I'd rather hold off on buying additional cards worth over $5 until I play with it more, but I've had my eye on Braid of Fire.

I used to have a Candelabra of Tawnos, but I traded it for a Polar Kraken because kid me didn't see why you would pay 1 mana to untap your lands that also give 1.

Cracked a foil Aether Vial in a pack last night (Target had packs of darksteel in one of those bundles)
should I sell it off or find a deck to put it in?

pls I've made no progress on picking the general, but have on etbs

>Thread question
Mono black ramp while milling thanks to Sakura tribe elder being in an opponents grave or exploiting my opponents sidisi so I can do it again and again and again without owning one

I still need get a paper deck I actually like playing so my weekly edh sessions don't feel like a waste of my time

Sell it if you only play EDH, otherwise sell it and buy a non foil version.

You don't want to play Triad of Fates. The only other card that adds fate counters is Oblivion Stone. It's just too slow/unreliable and all the good creature untappers are blue or green. It's a cool card but a super weak general.

Athreos might be good for repeatedly casting creatures for value although most players will start paying the life before you can do anything too crazy. Otherwise, you can do Karador and just cast dudes out of your graveyard all day.

Alright Veeky Forums, it's time for me to build monogreen. I'm gonna get Freyalise signed or altered at GP Sydney.
I've been meaning to invest in a Doubling Season for a while, but what else would you include?
I'm mostly after unique-ish green effects. I really like the druid who steals lands so that's looking to be a tribal theme

Trying to build a Reyhan/Vial smasher deck, any interesting ideas?

>Trying to build a Reyhan/Vial smasher deck, any interesting ideas?
don't play partners.

Are you asking for spicy tech, or are you asking to be pointed towards edhrec

Spice, please. I try to make edhrec the last place I visit

edhrec is good, memes aside it's probably one of the best resources for edh in the last several years. Onto the Spice Rack:
Seedtime/Autumn's Veil
Yisan isn't spicy but is a goddamn powerhouse
Nature's Claim is the best card in your deck
Carpet of Flowers
Crop Rotation packages are always good

Mycosynth Lattice lets you destroy basically anything with Freyalise.

Story time /edhg/
>Finally convince my friends to play a game of edh with me
>We decide that proxies are okay, since most of them don't have a collection
>I built a sweet budget Red Neheb deck, only proxying a caged sun and a ruby medallion
>The other guys arrive

>Talrand Leviathans
>"Okay, seem cool dude"
>Kess storm
>"Uh, isn't this a bit high power?"
>Atraxa superfriends
>Oh fuck right off

>Kess gets hated out from a t2 isochron+demonic tutor
>I get killed by a gigantic Leviathan
>Somehow the talrand can't deal with the 4 walkers, go figure
We talked about me bringing my own brew too, what the fuck

Proxies breed autism, unless your group agrees not to proxy unless you have the intent of buying the cards

Did you mean vampiric tutor? Demonic is a sorcery and cant be imprinted by Isochron

>proxies breed autism
I dunno man, buying 8 copies of Top for my decks is pretty autistic.

Having 8 decks with top in it is worse.

>having 8 decks with Top to begin with

Hydra tribal.

See, there was another guy there who built a quirky fun time deck even though there were proxies.

If you are the kind of guy that's going to ignore your groups power level and go ham you are going to do it with or without proxies. You can still build a consistent turn 3-4 combo deck for $100 and crush your friends building shit like Leviathan tribal.

This is coming from a guy that builds low power $3,000 decks and encourages my opponents to proxy.

>unless they have the intent of buying the card

>combat damage

Am I missing something?

Karador lets you double dip (or more) on etbs.

You give it to a snake token w/ deathtouch

>last place I visit

That's stupid. Personal ideas first, then EDHREC for obvious stuff you forgot or didn't think of, THEN spice.
You can't just have a pile of spice, you gotta have the meat and potatoes.

Ye, that's the card.

Dear god don't listen to this user. If you play Mycosynth yuou need to win the game on the spot so as not to get Vandalblasted into oblivion. The card enables so much bullshit that it's incredibly dangerous to let sit on the board

ive had all my expensive cards since i was a child user

if it makes you feel any better theyre all pretty much heavy play

also trips

THE ONLY SOLUTION

Trying to build a Noyan Dar deck, some suggestions?
(other than the Mirrorweave + Contested War Zone combo)

Attached: Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper.jpg (223x311, 83K)

It's still pretty cool user. I'm not upset at all.

I hate how the Snake tokens with deathtouch are worth more than Hapatra herself.

Anyone got advice on the v.0.5 of bolt and beef deck?

Just got this in the mail. It's the Ultra Pro Deck Builder's Premium Binder.

You niggas interested in more pics or info?

Attached: IMG_20180313_114820357.jpg (3024x4032, 4.45M)

Yes please. Also how much did you pay?

So I want to make an awaken EDH who's a good commander for having lands punch people?

Unfortunately I had to order it from Amazon Germany, and I still paid less than ordering from Italy, my country.
I paid €35, but you can get it for 29-30 if you're not abroad.

I can already tell you it's 35x33cm, it doesn't fit in a standard backpack like my Eastpack but it fits a slightly bigger backpack like my old school one (Seven/Invicta). I hoped it was a little bit smaller but whatever, I don't plan to bring it around.

Genju of the realm if your friends are chill. Otherwise, Ramos? Angry omnath? Titania?

Why does it have bird shit on it?

Attached: 1519926114584.jpg (500x447, 55K)

The fuck are you talking about?

I used to really like those guys now j fucking hate those chinks
Somewhere around the time of the first game knights they got far far too big for their britches

What bodily functions produced those stains on your binder?

Shit?

Vomit?

Faggot??

Good, thanks.
Also are Master of the waves and Faces of the past good enough for this type of deck to deserve a slot in it?

Your mums pusy last nite fggt

no enchantments
only lands
and tentacles

Feel free to ask questions.

The only infect card I run is Triumph of the Hordes

Well, there is at least one enchantment I must run

Attached: Image.ashx.jpg (223x310, 26K)

Noyan is pretty fun to play

Attached: sacredground.hq.jpg (312x445, 37K)

Just picked up the 2014 Nahiri & 2017 Cat precons for $20 each, which direction should i take the two decks when combining/upgrading them?

Swords.

Some of the standard cats are really good, check some of them out.

>161 cats edh legal
>65 hounds edh legal

wow wizard, wooow.

Why are you so fucking gay?

[angry dog noises]

>implying you ever need more than one hound
Isamaru is the best

Isamaru is a dong. I literally got killed with commander damage by this furbag. 3 swords equipped. R.I.P

>Savannah Lions depicts a pair
>Isamaru is one dog who can match two lions
Best pup.

Thanks. Hows the pocket quality? Anything split?

>your binder has aids
Disgusting.

Same.

Hard to say right now, they haven't split yet but I need to put more cards inside. I'll report back later.

Where do all these underage shitposters come from?

>build some complete jank that looks fun but don't think you'll ever win with it
>playtest against a real deck
>get the nut draw and win on turn 4
Doubts obliterated.

I'm just replying on the same level as you.

>artifact spells are Historic once Dominaria hits
>mfw learning that artifacts were originally meant to be cool old shit that got discovered during archaeological digs
Looking at Antiquities, that makes a lot of sense.

Please do

>magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/quite-rarity-2018-03-12
So, basically Imperial Recruiter should have been printed at rare. I don't know why they even care about making articles like these when it will boil down to "we will we do what is better monetary-wise", I'm not blaming them for wanting money, but please, be honest about it..

I wish I had Tabernacle, Chains and The Abyss. My Hanna needs Tabernacle and rest goes in extra jank, Abyss in Sapling reanimator (I have only Magus there) and Chains in the better Neheb

We need more magus of x prints.

I know how you feel. With all these newer sets(by newer I mean at least modern and newer), it feels like artifacts are just some rocks people made, or a walking robot. Not really artifacts by the definition of the word "typically an item of cultural or historical interest.".

>Proxies breed autism, unless your group agrees not to proxy unless you have the intent of buying the cards

This, in our group we proxy:
>janky or expensive cards we want to try out first.
>cards that are looking to buy/are in the mail.
>expensive ($10+) that we own and use in multiple decks

>>having 8 decks with Top to begin with

>not having a suit of cards that you include in every decks.
Is it going to trigger your autism if I told you that I too play sensei's divining top in every deck I own, along side sol ring, thaumatic compass, temple of false god, command beacon, strip mine, wastelands, maze if Ith, homeward path and reliquary tower. :^)

>Reflections in the plastic covering the binder
some anons need their vision checked.

Isamaru + "historic matters" = aww yea

The glare from the plastic makes it look dirty, I would assume. I didn't realize that it was wrapped and I thought you bought a heavily used binder from a hobo or something

Any budget idiot-proof win cons for UW other than Approach of the Second Sun?

Attached: dragonlord_ojutai.jpg (251x356, 49K)

Jesus christ, the attention span of the people here is abysmal.

Attached: 66656_200w.jpg (200x288, 29K)

Atraxa superfriends isn't even that strong. Kess Storm is by far the strongest deck between the ones you mentioned.

> Any budget idiot-proof win cons for UW other than Approach of the Second Sun?
Pic related and some proliferation. I like Tezzeret's Gambit.

Also Rest In Peace and Helm of Obedience. It's fucking dirty though people won't be happy to die to it.

Attached: 1520946811821.jpg (488x680, 124K)

>expecting people to read all replied to your blogpost

Want jank?

Attached: Possessed Portal_FD.jpg (488x680, 129K)

If you're commenting on the picture I would at least expect you to look at it first.

I did. First time I thought it was dirty, but I thought again since no one would buy such a thing and realized it was wrapped
