When you take a Relic that upgrades a weapon, like Teeth of Terra upgrading a Chainsword for example, does it still count as that weapon for stratagems that require it?
I'm specifically thinking of the Gatekeeper and the Piercing Strike stratagem for Custodes, but in general too.
i still want to believe in a final war for Armageddon campaign.
Orks v Steel Legion.
with Grey Knights/Black Templars vs World Eaters//Khorne Daemons.
> ork, and world eaters get a codex and models, steel legion get models ( literally just yarrick, a greatcoat squad, a heavy weapon squad), and BT and GK get a character each.
Blake Reed
So uh... What's up with the exalted champion?
Sebastian Myers
Oh wow >haven't been updating or selling Kroot >barely did any focus for them in their codex >because they're getting a new range and a new codex
Fuark
James Myers
My Termi Captain with Relic Blade cut him in half in 1 round yesterday
Robert Edwards
Who's the NPC now marinefags? SoBayed
Connor James
>New meme army gets a codex >Not another Custards tier shit
Is like you dont know that 40k is all about Chaos vs Imperium
Ryder Turner
Great unit. Goes well coupled with Berzerkers. I run mine with a Power Sword (for Murder Sword relic) and a Chainsword.
Parker Brooks
fuck this kroot meme.
we've no new Imperial guard infantry in a decade, 20 year old ork models, 15 year old aspect warriors.
Hey i play eldar but I wouldn't mind tau getting a not suit unit that could vary up their play.
James Phillips
Plastic Kroot Shapers, Hounds, and Krootox instead of Failcast.
Adam Brown
>No I mean what's its model? no model, use whatever you think is appropriate
Henry Nelson
>codex Tau auxiliaries Oh god, muh dick.
Henry Scott
Fuck you nazi shit. Xenos time has come.
Eli Parker
Can Terminator Librarian still equip a storm shield?
Nathan Mitchell
> skitarii > harlequins > genestealers > custodes > sisters of silence > primarchs > super marines > imperial beastmen, squats, and arbites ( ok ill admit only for necromunda) > now fucking kroot
what else will we get before Sisters of Battle?
Isaiah Green
What's the point of Kroot >oh they can be chaff Can't fire warriors do that too? And they remain useful while shooting anything with 30 inches.
Isaiah Phillips
What do you guys think about this colo scheme and how would you use the same scheme on the eldar infantry
At least 2 or 3 new flavours of marines or chaos marines
Xavier Perez
Ayyy returning player here. What are the actual sources I have to draw from to create a DKoK army in 8th edition? There is an index, a codex, and FW index? Also, some reading seems to indicate that DKoK and Elysians are gimped and can't use regimental special rules? Any guidance would be appreciated. I have about 500 points worth of Korpsmen but a long ways to go.
Jonathan Clark
There is no model. You convert your own. Chainsword because of the extra attack with it and he is a Khornate. The fun thing is that you can give him pretty much whatever weapons you want. Even something like dual plasma pistols. So go and have some fun.
Bentley Hall
>use whatever you think is appropriate Okay cool, I'll use some busty mchesty 3rd party model.
Christopher King
>Imperiumfag wants more models
Alexander Collins
>what else will we get before Sisters of Battle?
Literally everything. How long is it going to take before you realize that GW doesn't care?
Cameron Ward
Scout move is important for screening 2 points cheaper than a FW might come in clutch in certain lists
Cooper Richardson
Daemons of Malal
Jack Scott
im sure you guys have been seeing this exact question a lot in the last few threads, but i still want to ask:
a buddy of mine wants to get the forgebane box, and he's willing to give me the necrons out of it for less than half the cost (read: $60 and lunch probably). i have never played 40k, been a fantasy player for years.
necrons look cool as shit and im not really a WAACfag. is this a good starting point for a small army? i have seen the codex leaks, but should i wait before buying anything else (or is there any units i should completely steer clear of)?
I was planning on it. Would be cool for helmet flair, and would have only one troop model have the red helmet the rest would have white within the unit.
>Chainsword because of the extra attack with it and he is a Khornate. What's that mean? If you mean world eaters that would just make chain sword even less useful.
Gabriel Taylor
Filthy ragetard.
Henry Gutierrez
Tau datasheets fucking WHEN
Justin Perez
on a guardian maybe all black, red helmet, white gun? or reverse it. red gun, white helmet.
drop the green though. red and green together is gross.
Daniel Hernandez
Cool I guess, Black n Red is edgy colours. Do it the exact same on infantry
Juan James
>and would have only one troop model have the red helmet the rest would have white within the unit. That's a nice idea, I didn't know what to do because I don't think orange helmet and black body looks good on guardian models.
Thomas Russell
if this ever happens could be fucking hilarious
Henry Cooper
It feels fluffy.
Noah Miller
You don't like Christmas user?
Evan Robinson
He sucks.
Tyler Lewis
We truly live in a grimdark universe.
James Reyes
I'd actually be extremely disappointed. Kroot aren't the only Tau mercenaries.
Dominic Lopez
>drop the green though. red and green together is gross. Objectively false. Poorly used green with red is bad.
Wyatt Wood
Exploding scarab is cool but it shouldn't cost command points.
Isaiah Cook
Now those units are troops on the new necron codex so is a fine start for an army. I can't really say more because I don't play them.
Chase Butler
What’s the best loadout for this big boi? Best with the stuff you can actually buy and best with the stuff that has rules
Is there a necron dynasty with black color scheme?
Dominic Mitchell
just the correct combination of rage and autism
Jeremiah Sanchez
> emperor mini for HH > all 4 chaos gods repped by a legion codex > craftworlds will be squatted to ynarii army of the dead > at least 8 primarchs in plastic.
Nurgle has identified the T'au as a force of hope, change, and progress. This offended him greatly. Now the Death Guard are sending army after army against the T'au Empire. Plaguing and corrupting their idyllic utopian worlds in the name of Grandfather Nurgle.
I want these next few weeks to be over with sooner than later. I have never experienced tau faggotry when I played because I dropped off around 5th, but if these past few threads are any indication taufags are the fucking whinyest bitches and most delusional mother fuckers that exist in the community- moreso than the delusional chaosfags that think emperors children and world eaters are getting codices this year. Holy shit you do your faction proud
William Ramirez
Nah just means they're tzeench bitches
Hudson Ward
The infamous Yhorduud dynasty
Logan White
That would only be truly entertaining if Tzeentch agreed and began aiding the Tau.
Oliver Robinson
You weren't around for fish of fury?
Josiah Cox
I see orange not red, am I colorblind?
Grayson Bailey
yes but they're the best
they were originally supposed to be their own army but were shoehorned into the tau codex
that's like being disappointed because the Harlequins get a codex and not the Sslyth and the Ur-Ghuls.
they all work for the dark eldar but not all of them deserve their own dex
Christopher Adams
im more concerned about orks and eldar desu.
3rd party IG sculpts pop up by the day, and are vastly better. its clear GW just gave up that fight.
Zachary Martinez
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment
Carter Parker
More ? Do the Tau meet Custards somehow ?
Zachary Roberts
Friendly reminder that the tau remain hidden because they pull a monsters inc from commorgaugh and use hope to remain hidden.
Also how the fuck does nurgle know where tau is.
Caleb Foster
Come on mate don't bring it into the new thread
Owen Diaz
Thokt is black with blue glow effects
they're all fully sentient and work for the Silent King
It's the saim hann so it's supposed to be red. The helmet base is red but they may have layered orange in that.
Basically it should be red.
Jonathan Morris
How do nid players feel about Tervigon's? The buff aura and healing gaunt units seems nice but then for nearly 250 points it doesn't seem to do much else.
This was most likely a typo, remember the codex leaked was a beta codex. It is highly unlikely that lychguard will be troops. But it's not a bad set of models. Buy a box of warriors and they come with scarabs, you'll have quite a decent starting force
Oliver Allen
Right after Codex: Ratlings.
Jace Evans
Looks like wazdakka or wild rider red to me.
Jaxson Wood
Why do tau and ultramarines even squabble. Square in between necrons and death guard
Nathaniel Scott
Because this is 40K and there is only war?
Joshua Nelson
The necron half is not a bad start to a necron army. You get a decent unit that can repair without getting focused down like a spyder. The immortals and lychguard arent bad, and the wraiths are very useful. Get 2 start collecting necron boxes and you will have a real decent starting army for necrons. You will probably want to get a monolith and a named HQ or possibly one of the C'tan and some more warriors but otherwise its not bad at all.
Alexander Moore
No, there's some orange highlights in there. You probably just have a different idea of what 'red' is. I have a similar issue with labelling certain yellows as green
