The most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

>no De Fersen

NOOOOOOOOO
why no asuka wtf CB

She's become that character with the scythe, but she's hiding her identity. Or at least, you can proxy her that way.

What makes him so important?

Spitfire equipped Hacker with a Templar CCW.

Also linkable with Joan and three Hospitaliers, so he's kind of like a straight upgrade to a specialist with an upgrade program (Trinity).

He's very expensive though, is he worth the 20 point upgrade over a Doctor, assuming you are already running an HMG?

She's way too into cosplay now. Get with the program.

It's E/Marat time.

Depends on your meta. He's got some stat and skill upgrades that make him a bit better for securing certain objectives (especially if they're the sort that hackers get a bonus on), and he's a bit better in CC (not really a priority, but worth mentioning). If you're looking at going up against Hackers and/or TAGs/Heavy Infantry, he's loads better of an investment than another doctor.

when

Attached: os.png (699x543, 160K)

Is Arslan actually any good or is he just a more expensive Druze?

I'll be running him regardless, just wanna know what I'm getting myself into.

Missile Launcher Father Knight and a Spitfire would make it into a really strong team, active and defensive turn both, I'd love to see that.

He clears midfields good with BS13 shock rifle+MSV1, that's his main thing.
Extra wound and hyperdynamics are cool too, just don't walk into mines.
Light shotgun is there I guess, maybe you need a template more than you need a viral ammo sometimes. Link on link combat or something. Mostly it inflates the price though.

I'm just glad that the best character from Outrage is still alive.

Sweet, so he's at least good at something.
>I'm just glad that the best character from Outrage is still alive.
I still need to get around to reading it. Trying to get a physical copy is a bitch. He seems like a cool dude just from his design though, but that may be because I have a bias towards Druze

Honestly just downgrade to the mook knight and add a tech bee.

I wish this was true

>downgrade the mook knight and add a tech bee
>break the link team down to 4, and add a unit whose best skill has no effect on any of the units currently in the list

With Jeanne around, Tech Bee's best skill is that regular order.
And by mook knight I'm pretty sure that user meant downgrading a doc to a standard 33pt Hospitaller

anyone else feel like they cant paint up to the standards of Infinity models?

Attached: Screenshot_2018-03-14-10-41-54.png (1080x1920, 2.3M)

Taking it easy with the wash/varnish might be a good start toward that standard. Did you dip this model by chance?

Extremely. Mostly because I don't own an airbrush and I simply cannot figure out how to do the "washes over white" method.

And we have people in our meta who unironically do the "if you can't paint as well as Angel then get out of the hobby" thing.

Attached: Zoe N Pi-well 1a.jpg (800x600, 371K)

You must be new

This user gets it

>not downgrading all the knights to mooks so that you can fit in a warcor, and use all a command point in a pinch to get an extra order.

oh no i took this when it was wet. its dry now and im gonna add another coat of matt varnish to tone down the shine from the gloss i used

Wtf is the wash over white thing? I thought you just washed and then went back over with a drybrush of the white you used

Blog post when? How hard we gettin fucked CB?

Bostria confirmed all except Ninjas are fucking off in the FAQ video.

I hope they delay of the campaign is paired with shift tof the IA release to the next N announcement. Else riot

Taking a break from my JSA as I burn through getting all my PanO painted

Attached: IMG_1950.jpg (3264x2448, 2.06M)

Sometimes, but I don't let it get to me. I often feel like a B+ painter, but hey at least I field fully painted armies without judging if yours is well painted.

An eye opener for me was when I was in a 40 person tournament and had like one of five fully painted armies. 2 were like Giraldez tier, the rest were just acceptable standards. The other tournaments I played has a majority unpainted to badly painted up armies but I guess I just didn't notice. It made me realize to just be glad I'm painting them to a standard, and I'm personally just glad to see the opponent army with at least three colors and a wash. There's no real obligation to paint like an angel.

>And we have people in our meta who unironically do the "if you can't paint as well as Angel then get out of the hobby" thing.

That's a dickish thing to do.

Attached: 102_5759.jpg (777x751, 369K)

I'm pretty good at painting and started infinity a few months ago, painted some 5 models (I'm studying away from home so I don't have paints with me) out of it, but the bad thing is comparing myself to my brothers who are a lot better than me at it.

Attached: IMG-20180312-WA0000.jpg (1200x1599, 240K)

Great looking NMM

Can't wait until it goes up on Monday and it's literally nothing besides "All these units except the Ninja are gone, pre-order JSA, thank you!"

Can I build a tohaa army out of the 300pts box and not become instat WAAC FAG? Want to suprise people playing at my store by stealth switching factions.

> And we have people in our meta who unironically do the "if you can't paint as well as Angel then get out of the hobby" thing.
Why? I simply don't understand that mindset. Do they want to have nobody to play with?

Yeah, he is very good at large models, but I can't really get a hang of how to properly shade, even of it looks decent (Tik is mine, Uhlan is his).

Attached: IMG-20180302-WA0000.jpg (1328x747, 82K)

Avoid symbiomate Kaeltar and you're golden. One of them is somewhat tolerable, two is disgusting.

Beyond that Sukeul are pretty gross. Everything else you can't really help, unless you write up your own slightly modified homebrew rules for symbioarmour like I did

Jesus, do you also let your opponent fuck your wife after each game too?

Tohaa aren't WAAC. Just play your army and fuck the haters.

Only if I lose to a black guy.

Chin up user! It's highly possible that the Giraldez tier armies were commissioned

I just remember pre-HSN3. New symbiomates were a mistake, they're complete fucking dogshit from a game design perspective. I despise using them, facing them and knowing that they exist. There is nothing tactical about their use or counters, they're just extra meat points that are mandatory to take every game because they give almost anyone you want another wound. Old ones were much better designed, but old ones relied on the now defunct fire vulnerability. So I just brought both back and gave MI, HI and the TAG the new fire vulnerability. It works pretty well and I still manage a better win rate than with most of my other factions. Fire is scary like it used to be.

Not a fan of Sukeul but that's more for internal balance reasons. I admit I was a bit harsh on them.

My LGS is doing a 'bring your filthiest list' 400 point tournament soon; I play Ariadna. I'm pondering bringing an all-camo list, if I'm right I can fit in 22 camo tokens in vanilla at 400 (2 mines, 4 empty from ambush camo, the rest dudes); but is that really the dirtiest I can be at 400? I don't have enough Galwegians to just bring Wallace and more galwegians, unfortunately.

Make sure to throw in Van Zant, Mirage 5, and Uxia. They're all off board/camo so it's still fine in the list.

Uxia was already in; I can fit in Mirage 5, though I'm gonna have to take the tankhunters out. With your suggestion, this is what the list currently looks like. How can I improve it? I suppose I can take out the hardcases, they're only there for double camo tokens, and put in something else, but...

Attached: DirtyDawn.pdf (PDF, 304K)

Is it ever worth it to use 2 Kanren in one list, either vanilla or ISS? I can't decide on which model I prefer so I'm considering buying both.

Absolutely, in ISS anyways. They are only AVA 1 in YJ. 2 allows you to bring a specialist and Madtraps, making it harder to get rid of them. You can also just bring double specialists, or double MadTraps if you just want to fuck the mid-field up. They're solid skirmishers, just remember that holo-echos are no replacement for token state, so deploy them defensively.

I've stripped almost everything in my infinity collection at least once, and I think I've stripped my hsien three times

But I'm not scared to pull them out. My local meta is mostly base coated or unpainted, even the warcor, though that's probably cause he has almost the entire catalog.

Most people seem about my level or better, a couple outrageously good ones like the dude who has his nomads in N7 uniforms, but they're all chill

Continuing Last Thread's discussion of Space Catholicism: The entire premise of PanO's Catholic Church is taken wholeheartedly from the novel 'Endymion', where a once nearly extinct Catholic church is risen to #1 prominence by discovering an artifact that allows the wearer to literally be ressurected, so they become the only people who control this. So in turn, they go from 50k followers to tens of billions instantly and become a marauding army of swiss guard commandos in power armor and knights. Their main enemy are groups of nomadic space deviants. Sound familiar?
It ends up the bad guy is the human domain's super AI system

Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion are some of my favorite Sci-fi books, so it makes me happy that Corvus took a lot of inspiration from them. I just wish Endymion and Rise of Endymion sucked less, at least the Pax parts were good. Raul and Aenea can choose again to eat a dick for being so god damn boring.

Attached: The_lord_and_the_colonel_by_abiogenisis-d6zpyow.jpg (750x844, 401K)

I stopped reading it after the second, but Simmons wasn't known for theological continuity with real life, which is a very important thing if we consider Infinity to be something that springs from our world and pretty close to our time as well. Maybe I read too much John Henry Newman and stuff, but the "everyone can find his own personal way to God" part is very inconsistent (you can't, it's pretty strictly defined) and what's odd is that they use Pius XIII as the jumpstart pope and the name is seen (today) as a mark of very hardline traditional neoscholastic thinking. Also, in the context of thomist hylomorphic dualism which is the philosophically dominant idea, where the soul is the form of the body and is not some kind of a ghost, but the animating principle, makes these ressurections mean it's another person because there's no continuity of metaphysical identity. But, I don't let this bother me in playing PanO, I can roleplay it the way I want anyway.
soundcloud.com/thomisticinstitute/dr-james-madden-the-compatibility-of-neuroscience-and-the-soul
Useful lecture on the subject.

Also, recommended space Catholicism, Book of the New Sun, Book of the Long Sun and Book of the Short Sun. It's a lot better than Hyperion, although a very different kind of experience.

you think something like this would be ok?

How do you get gradients like that? A lot of patience or some actual technique like glazing?

It's my bro's mini and when I ask him he says just play with it with 20+ thin layers and also a vision. I did the inferior Tik posted bellow.

Yeah, but maybe they can announce something to reduce the buttharm. I hear spanish players are having a huge shitfit right now.

If they're smart they'll play the Euro community vs. the international one over this latest tournament kerfluffle to deflect attention from themselves.

Reminder not to trust the Asians.

Attached: EvilYuJing.jpg (1026x621, 438K)

What's the kerfuffle about?

Me and my whole family are Asian thou

Trust no one, not even yourself.

Polack played vs. Spaniard in Siesta community. Spaniard says they are in retreat and they win the game because of it. Polack asks 'judges' to verify, who does so, only the judge is just another Spaniard and not a tournament TO. It later turns out Spaniard conveniently forgot that they had 2 hidden/AD troops off board and they shouldn't have been in retreat. Polack wants something done, Spaniard TOs say nothing can be done. Other Polacks say OG Polack is also a WAAC turd who cheats all the time back in Warsaw.

Sorry to tell you, but that means you are evil. End of discussion.

If this is evil, I don't want to be good. Guess I'm signing up for the Celestial Guards.

Attached: page-cover_photo-8502.jpg (1200x630, 289K)

It's also worth noting that the player who "forgot" about models in hidden deployment was ranked #1 in ITS in the world. There's a pattern - if you're ranked #1 in ITS, you're a Spaniard, and your ITS handle starts with an L, you're probably a cheating son of a bitch.

Also other people said the guy who got cheated on was very sportsmanlike. There's definitely been an effort to discredit him from the feckless Iberians though.

>Polack
Don't blame him on us, Karolis is Lithuanian.

>If they're smart
Because dividing and poisoning the playerbase is gonna help greatly towards making it a game more people want to play.

Isn't Lithuania just a region in Poland? ;^)

So was Piłsudski :^) I may have made an assumption based on his name.

NEW JSA STUFF REVEALED
Nevermind, just GW shamelessly stealing the infinity aesthetic
youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=4k5rwxv2MQ0

> Immediately problems began. My opponent demanded to know the combat groups of my camo tokens, which is not public information (that is why it is not on courtesy lists). The judge sided with him though, and I marked which models were in each group. This became important turn 2.
> On my turn two my paracommando came in and this is when the game got really ugly. He had counted my models during deployment, but since I had a mine in each group he included them in the count, and hadn't paid attention to my actual generated order pool, and/or hadn't understood me when I turned an irmadino order regular using a command token. He therefore claimed I had 11 models in group 1. I retraced my steps with the judge and showed I had only spent 7 orders from pool one on the first turn, meaning I had had room for a tenth model, the paracommando. The paracommand was in a great spot, behind his entire force. However, as I was checking the Line of Sight of his Daturazi base markings with a laser line, which showed that I could approace him from beind, he reached in front of me and adjusted the model so I was no longer behind him! He claimed he was "fixing it."
> Most egregious thing I have seen in a game of infinity, and the judge admonished him but said there was no way to know where it had been facing,
> After an arguement where he claimed the noctifier was ARM 3 (and therefore had passed his armour saves) a second judge came over and checked his list, revealing that, unsuprisingly, it was not ARM 3. So, Noctifier dead. I then advanced and began shooting the Charontid, needing 2 dice 16s vs his 1 dice 8s. There was a shot where we rolled the same thing and fully cancelled and he "failed guts" despite taking no armour saves. After a discussion (we were up to 3 judges at this point) he was told to move it back, which he did, but only about half the distance he had moved it in the first place. This was seriously reaching farcical levels.
Around Spain, cheating reigns.

Am I the only one who can hear the Inspector gadget theme?

Spaniards have always had the home ground advantage, so I'm not surprised that this happened, but if it had to happen to someone then I'm glad it happened to some WAAC loser. Still, seems like an easy fix to me. Victory was achieved due to Retreat, guy couldn't have been in Retreat... simplest thing to do would be to make it a draw.

From my perspective the siesta deserves to lose, if you try to pull a fast one you shouldn't get shit for it.

Models that are supposed to have a human anatomy simply don't work for GW.

I agree with you, he does. That said, if the cheating in question wasn't caught at the event ((or even better, during the game) user didn't specify), I can also understand that a TO might be reluctant to award victory to someone who might have lost even if their opponent hadn't (allegedly) cheated. What makes me mad is that they couldn't even put the effort into giving 'their guy' a favorable solution (a draw)... they just said "Nothing we can do, sorry." and let him win. Crazy.

Probably because the TO crew was Spanish as well. Euros don't really have a sense of fair play - just look at the different attitudes in terms of the implementation of instant replay videos in sports, for example.

Has it been discussed on the forums at all?

Yup. WGC mods (predictably) locked conversation about it, though.

Spaniards helping Spaniards win a -very- important game of toy soldiers seems completely par for the course actually.

Cheating is huge in wargames in general, may as well add regional bias and waffle judges to that.

Got a link to the thread, or was it deleted? Obviously they won't allow any discussion, but I'm curious to get the details from the source.

The threads are still in WGC, just locked. If you click in there you can scroll down to it on the facebook group.

I always liked the little Necromunda riff.

Anyways, I don't think cybernetic pony tails and 90s-esque cyberpunk aesthetic is all that exclusive to infinity, but jebus the models between 19 and 21 seconds are several types of horrifying.

Is that some bald "gal?" with boobplate or bald guy with pec plates?

Well, CB recently started stealing GW aesthetic.

Here you go nerds

>After final game in Infinity Europian Challenge I wanted to start discussion about how to judge difficult situations in big tournaments there line between just forgetting and forgetting intentionally is quite questionable and can mean quite a lot .
>The situacion which occured in my last tournament finals (satelite -Europian Infinity chalenge):
>I played versus Leigbar . In second turn I was in absolute advantage - 17 orders (he killed just 3 not important models) Vs 3 orders (on the table just two drones and doctor worm) and I have killed his data tracker.
>So at the start of his new turn he says that he is in RETREAT state and the game ends and he won the game because he has clicked one console and I will not have my Turn to change it. I was really surprised because I was approximately (as I don't know all the costs by heart) counting how much I killed and for me it looked really far from 330 (it was hight tears tournament and he had two bagages so retreat state begins if I kill him more than 330).
>So I asked is it really ALL unkilled troops in your list wort just 88 (how he declared ). He confirmed. It was hard to me to believe that I really made my approximately calculations so wrong so I asked one more time. He confirmed. Then I asked someone from organizers who was around (it was final table and someone was filming it and running around) he talked with my opponent in Spanish and confirmed.
>So because Infinity is Gentleman's game and we have to trust each other - I believed in it and blamed myself for such stupid mistake.
>So he won the tournamet and I lost.
>But hour after tournament I recreated his list with army builder and it was 80 points missing and understood that my opponent forget to mention that he had two non deployed troops in his rezerve which also counts towards surviving points.

Man, the Spanish Infinity community is made up of such trash.

Cont
>So two hours after the tournamnet I went back to organizers and made protest. But I didn't want that my opponent would be represed for cheating , so I politely sad that maybe he forgot or something.
>Afters several days organizers replayed that it was my mistake that I believed in my opponent and didn't know hidden information in his list. So they will not change outcome of the satellite tournament.
>The problem is that this situation creates interesting precedent for making "accidental " mistakes in tournaments environment (its really hard to believe that best world ITS players suddenly forgets two hidden units in his list) and if someone is not couth on spot - then it's ok and he bears no responsibility even if his mistakes were uncovered little bit later.
>So what's your opinion about the situation and precedent in general?

Tournament Response
>As we have seen rumors beginning to spread, we would like to get out in front of the issue and publish this statement to explain what happened during the final game.
>A few hours after the end of the tournament, one of the players in the final realized that the survivor count for his opponent to enter Retreat! had been made incorrectly. The opponent went on to win the match because he had entered Retreat! After talking to both players, and with people who had watched the game, we believe that this mistake was not intentional.
>Due to this fact, we have decided to not modify the result of the game or the final classification.
>Our reasons are as follows:
>The game finished with 30 minutes to spare, more than enough time to ask a judge, another player or even the ITS supervisor present at the tournament to check the results. Due to this, we consider it a mistake made by both players.
>We consider that once they have handed in their tournament control sheets, both players are showing that they agree with the results. We will be including this as a specific rule in all our future tournaments.

Cont
>We believe that changing the result of the game after the fact would risk setting a negative precedent for this kind of event. Everyone would want to be able to review their games and ask for changes after the fact.
>If the game had not entered Retreat! it would have continued and it is impossible to be certain what the result would have been as there were still turns left to play.
>We regret that something like this might in any way spoil the experience the players had at the tournament. We believe that the event was a great success and we are already working so that next year it can be bigger and better.
>From our side, we consider the matter is settled but we wanted to be transparent and share the reasons behind the decision with the community.
>Thank you for coming to the first European Infinity Challenge
>Greetings
>PS: Soon we will be publishing a report on the event with photos and a lot more information on what went on during the weekend.

That's the two main things. There are a bunch of back and forth between the tournament organizers, the original player, and anyone who felt like going in there, but I'm too lazy to copy that all.

And people wonder why I refuse to attend tournaments.

Attached: [bombs internally].jpg (224x225, 13K)

You know it's funny, I live on the West coast of the USA and I've generally had positive experience at tournaments. At the last big one I had a player get snippy with me when I was 10-0 ing him pretty hard, but he came up and apologized to me afterwards.

I guess Euros are a whole different ballgame though. Perhaps Poles are just the only honest Euros about their approach to the game.

So basically Leigbar is at best an honorless dog and at worst a complete cheater, and the TOs in question don't care about preventing either of those behaviors. Got it.

Most likely it was Spaniards colluding against the Polish guy. I'm not fan of the Polish Infinity community, but give them a fair shake.

Nah man the spanish are just tip top infinity players.

No way they're intentionally obfuscate rules when playing non-spanish speaking natives to confuse them and ultimately win games because of these superior mind mechanics.

If you had more siestas in your life maybe you could understand the spanish GENIUS on display. You should thank your lucky stars you get to breath the same air as the glorious spainiards for they can do no wrong and are very excellent infinity players.

I've played in a few tournaments, and I've really only had one 'bad' experience. No cheating, no huge misplays, or anything really crazy, but the guy was just not fun to play with at all. -Constantly- questioning LoS and asking to remeasure (himself, to make sure I wasn't cheating him, I guess), and debating every little thing. To top it off, he was using a list (at the time, a pretty strong MAF list posted on the official forums) that was identical to another player (who I also played against, and had a great time - what a difference attitude can make). I get that people are there to win, but there's no reason to be a jerk.

So... I can remember 40k fans talking trash about Infinity Manga aesthetics for years and suddenly today the Van Saar miniatures are the best thing GW has ever done?!
Really?!

Attached: JSAthing.jpg (750x500, 79K)

Stockholm syndrome is a crazy thing.

Checks out.

Cybernetic braids, tactical rocks, holding two pistols but never aiming in the same direction, hunching over holding a gun two handed, multiple eyes on a faceplate, resting a ML on a shoulder, standing over a "Tactical rock."

Yep, looks plenty familiar.

I do like that one guy with the clear plastic shield though.
