this is my current game

I may have put too many otherwordly beings with big egos trying to outdo each other in my settings. It's been fun and disorienting, though

The one hype campaign is on hiatus and the other two are pretty quiet.

Most of the characters are being preyed on by a nightmare demon trying to seduce them, while one guy's magic gem AI is pushing him to do evil things.

Fuck. Are you me? The most amusing thing about my campaign is that my character started off as a very down-to-earth kenku knight in a fey pact, but after a few solid bits of fluff I wrote for my abilities, he's become more and more anime and the group loves it.

who the hell 'balances' a game for 5 players by multiplying the enemy health anyway, making a single bandit survive things that would kill the tankiest player three times over?

Starfinder is such a clusterfuck of half baked ideas, we spend half a four hour session reading rules books and we've been playing since launch.

> 'balances' a game for 5 players by multiplying the enemy health

Like, not by 5, right? He knows the enemy is already supposed to be rated for a group, right?

I can see increasing an enemy's health so they have a chance to do stuff against a larger/stronger group, but multiplication seems like a dangerous answer.

The party is stuck in a doomed world that is falling apart by the second, with a very strict amount of time left. And they're having to rely on goblin engineers to make an airship to pass through a cloud infested with transdimensional abominations and floating debris.

They're at least being optimistic.

I mean, I kinda suspected that folks who are still triggered by pastel loli goats in 2018 must be a little on the slow side, but damn, dude.

I don't care desu I'm not going to report him.

Then why post "JANNY"?

Pathfinder?

mutants and masterminds actually. I played someone with the power set of The Thing who's default shape was an unassuming cute boy. His primary struggle was the fact that he really really wanted to be a hero but every ability he had was borderline if not actually body horror and people would start screaming whenever he started to save the day. He eventually met up with a spunky young leader of a team of more normal heroes who helped him configure his powers in a way that didn't traumatize the civilians, and along the way he and the team captain fell for each other despite the both of them being totally straight you guys.

My party mostly prevents me from going postal. But my character is totally done with the fucking place. If it was me I would at this moment have a vistani skin lampshade buisiness. Also what the fuck is wrong with Valakis? Are there people worth saving in that damned place? My party agrees to slaughter and then burn every fucking witch, druid, weirdo, shady looking faggot and their hovels, mansions and groves thou. So you have that. We don't kill commoners or wrek their towns thou they probably all deserve it for secretly eating their children or some other insane shit. But i swear to god, I started as an optimistic, go lucky character but am turning into a bitter and angry old wizard.

Tl;dr: Every bad guy and their habitat gets torched to ashes. The innocent are left alone. Strahd can watch our progress from his balcony by following the plumes of smoke from corpsefires and arson.

Attached: kill-it-with-fire.jpg (1406x810, 189K)

My party infiltrated the webway, landed on some tiny planet that had no reason to be there. After a brief investigation, it turns out it's a lost tomb world of Necrons. The whole planet starts to shift like fucking Unicron as we haul ass to escape. Tech priest lost an arm, but no one cares about that. As we get back on out shuttle, we see the planet itself start puttering off just before we make a blind jump to anywhere that wasn't there.

We got out of the webway, but now we're on an abandoned mining world with no knowledge of where or when we are. To top things off, my Guardsman and a few other characters are now infected with a virus that killed the fuck out of some Eldar we had found in an earlier session. I have no idea if I'm going to die or not.

man, I'd play in it.

>mostly alive
>the fighter and thief are both dead
>the rest of the party hasn't figured it out yet

Princes of the Apocalypse. PCs are going so slowly the cult has run out of towns to destroy.

Lucky, my DM tried to kill us 1st session because he wanted to speed up levelling and because he is expecting us to need back up characters.
It's my first game and I put a lot of effort into this character I just want a comfy game :(

Nothing you just said makes sense. You should always have a back up character anyways, regardless of what the DM intends or not. Furthermore, no one tries to kill you 'because they expect you to need back up characters.' That shit doesn't even mean anything. It makes no sense.

No no no you don't understand. He's homebrewed a death system in which characters could be out of action for weeks due to permanent injuries. He expects us to die, it's not like he expects us to be prepared, he literally doesnt expect the party to have the same mmbers from start to finish. Thats a bit different to preparing for the worst, he wants to kill us, when half the party are completely newbies.

Sorry to hear that, seems like you need to talk with your DM because it sounds like you two want to play vastly different campaigns.

I dont want the confrontation desu, he's pretty easy going with the rule I think maybe in the moment I could mitigate but i dont wanna outright say i dont like one of his fundamental rules

>>okay guys we're running a heroic capes and masks games. Everyone make a fun alter-ego vigilante
>>One player makes a character with card powers, he started off using them to cheat
>>First session card guy is playing cards, still cheating. Gets caught cheating. Murders everyone.
