There is a new Homebrew Megafolder option in above MEGA directory containing several things.

40K RPG tools, a site that contains stats or references for almost all weapons, armor and NPCs/adversaries. Not updated past DH2 core.
40krpgtools.com/

40k RPG Combined Armory (v6.48.161023), containing every piece of gear in all five lines. Now includes all DH2e books.

For only war, do you need to spend the 2500 XP before you can pick an advanced specialization, or can you bank it?

You have to spend it. Just like with the ranks in DH1e, DW and RT.

How would you stat different For Honor characters as space marines in DW, if they are to be rank 7-8 boss-level enemies?

Have a rogue trader game coming up. The group is currently going to meet with a ship of the inquisition who wants a little more personally account of what they have been up to recently.

The captain had sent back some news of the horrible Xeno station they had found. Not that familiar with the inquisition and was looking for some advice on how they might arrive and treat the Rogue Trader. Also what kind of ship might he arrive in.

The inquisition, despite what grimderp fags might want you belive, consists mostly of calm, collected and competent people. The inquisitor probably has no reason to suspect you of any high-grade heresy, so he just does a routine check just to be sure. Of course, if he sees you fucking necron tech into the walls and praising chaos he'll make your life a living hell, but only after he leaves with a nice smile and a handshake. But if the worst your crew's done is trading with some minor xenos for the benefit of the Imperium, banging eldar chicks and using your cogboy using necron rifle, then you have nothing to fear, because an inquisitor always has a bigger fish to fry, and minor xeno-related heresy is easily overlooked, because it's literally harmless and dealing with it is a waste of time.

On a ship matter: It depends how influential is an inquisitor. Some can barely get a small yacht to travel in the warp, while others can have a fucking battleshit with an escort fleet. Inquisitor's wealth is measured not in money, but in contacts, deals and respect. A new inquisitor is less influential than the most poor RT, while the most powerful ones can fuck up sectors and issue giant crusades with the power of their influence to gather allies and imperial forces, that they accumulated during their service to the Imperium.

I hope it's a detailed enough answer.

Any news about Wrath and Glory?

Also, you're not alone OP.

I seem to remember one the books had an option for special flamer ammunition that replaced the fire with some sort of poison gas/toxin thrower, but I can't seem to find it (and it doesn't seem to be in the OP database). Any one happen to know where that is?

"Toxin-saturated Promethium"

According to the armoury spreadsheet I have, that's in Rogue Trader: Hostile Acquisitions, page 61.

My party's about to go exploring an ocean planet.
Any books have stats for boats, before I go reskinning a chimera?

No. Reskin a chimera.

Aye aye

Kinda wierd though. Navy isn't touched neither in the lore nor any rules at all. Like GW hates boats.

You don't have to spend. It says earned xp, not spent xp.

Well fuck me I guess, always thought it was spent exp.

I think there is some naval shit mentioned in the second third of The Emperor Protects as the Battle Brothers have to go underwater.

Nothing new since the example comic got through the basics of play. Doubt there's going to be much major info until free RPG day in June when they're releasing a quick start ruleset.

I'll take a look, thanks

Rogue Trader has some aerospace craft that might be more conducive to watercraft conversion.

Namely, the gun cutter and the air yacht.

Shas, how's GER doing?

How do you like your inquisitors, /40krpg/?

Attached: radical inquisitor.png (999x666, 531K)

In the older systems, yes, but everything BC onward says earned.

My group rolled up a new Only War party. I'm the sargent. What is my job?

Attached: cyka.png (653x641, 623K)

On schedule. I fixed the issues that peeps pointed out from the draft document.

Party buffs through orders.

I know this isn't technically 40k, but is 2ed WHFRP still considered the best of the Fantasy Roleplay series?

I like it when they have a shitload of henchmen to do their dirty work for them and won't even set foot on a planet unless it's been completely assured that it's free of the taint of chaos.

Being squad's dedicated buff-bitch. And a weak one at that. No squad modes and other good shit space marines get.
Also you're party's face, unless you have a comissar.
Honestly, a psyker does a better job as both a utility-bitch, while also being an alright combat character.

Do the buffs really suck? Dammit. Should I just ask the GM to reroll a weapons specialist?

In terms of balance:
Why doesn't a guardian start with swift attack? it's in t1 but still, kinda wierd because assaults have it by default.
Dread Host Sodality squad mods seems too gimmicky, with too much focus on stacking the master-level enemies kills, which is extremely hard in normal situations, because they will be apart from each other for the most part, and the benefit that he gets from stacking it seems nice, but kinda too hard to pull off.

It's mostly
>get +3 to damage here
>get +10 to aim there
And other shit. Either roll a comissar or a heavy gunner, if you're too brainlet for a psyker.

Yes.

Yeah, I thought that those orders sounded pretty good. I actually don't mind being a buff bitch, I think it's fun. I'm used to play a debuff warlock in 5e.

>Why doesn't a guardian start with swift attack?
This can be considered.

>Dread Host Sodality squad mode
Now that you point it out, you are correct. It will require a rework. It does not even work as written, since going squad mode turns off your solo mode, and that's the source of the dude's fear. I'm open to suggestions.

Attached: The World has Crashed.jpg (1200x900, 164K)

You have a fuckton of utility as a warlock in 5e, not a wizard or a sorc of coursem but he has it's moments. Sarge, on the other hand, is just a minor buff bitch, and is waste of a character slot most of the time, who doesn't even go with the team most of the time, because orders not only weak but are too action-specific.

Yeah but it seems like it would come up a lot. +10 to dodge tests is huge. Also, Take Cover sounds like it will increase the suitability of my squad exponentially.

Squad Mode: The Heroes of Justice
Passive squad mode, that turns on the start of the mission.
Every 4 master or elite level enemies the character issuing the squad mode kills, he and the rest of the group gain a level fear rating up to Fear (4), and gain a specific buff until the end of the mission.
Rank 3: Fear (2) grants Felling (1)
Rank 5: Fear (3) grants an additional attack in melee as part of the swift/lightning attack action
Rank 7: Fear (4) grants Unnatural Strength x1 in addition to existing modifiers

Just throwing it out there. You'd still have to work for it, but it would make for a better commitment/reward tradeoff.

>+10 to dodge tests is huge.
A stormtrooper can get everyone his +30 to dodge each encounter with a full action until the end of combat.
>it will increase the suitability
Killing your enemies faster does the job way better. The game is about preventing enemies from firing and hitting you, not tanking it out with long dodge/cover fights.

Should mention that a custodian starts with no forbidden lores. Something like FL (HH) or FL (D/W) should be mandatory (IMHO).

We already have a stormtrooper in the party.

The sergeant sounds fun especially when my partys comrades get involved. I don't really care about min-maxing.

Depends which Inquisitor they are meeting which ordo? Also is he/she a Puritan, normal or radical. A Puritan would fuck anyone's life even seeing a daemonic creature or harsh interrogation if they met Xenos. A radical would want to explore the possibility of capturing a daemon and even want to trade/recruit with Xenos. An average would be like the other guy said.

I just realized how awesome a sergant is going to be with a stormtrooper.

You were warned.

Continuing:

Champion of the Imperium
When the Custodian or an ally within 30m is subjected to a Charge action by an enemy (or said enemy decides to be cute and WALK into melee), the Custodian may perform a Charge action as a Reaction against the enemy. This Charge action does not benefit from bonuses to hit the action would normally provide.

Does that mean that a guardian can just disengage out of melee as a reaction to charage another enemy. Or can he charge an enemy charging him while being in melee himself?

fuck that, this is going to be awesome. +40 to dodge for the squad and think of the ranged volleys

I'm definitely getting a vox-tech

Shas, do I remember correctly that you're doing some kind of Solar Auxilia supplement? I'd like to get your opinions on the Imperialis Militia, or at least some of the effects of the Survivors of a Dark Age provenance.

If you were going to implement lasguns with Strength 4 and flak armour with a 4+ save (or carapace with a 3+), would you make these special items with their own entries in the book or just suggest using something like Deathwatch's rules for Master craftsmanship?

I've been going with the latter option for now, but that's mostly because I just couldn't think of anything unique to represent pseudo-archeotech.

>+40 to dodge
+10, the other 30 come from a stormtrooper activating the ability at the start of combat.
>ranged volleys
+5 to hit isn't evne that good.

Instead of doing that, you could just carry a vanquisher cannon as a heavy gunner.

>Vanquisher cannon

Not Sarge guy, but are you retarded?

Thanks, though I guess this raises the question of how to convert that to the later systems where toxic's mechanics are changed (I'm tempted to just say fuck it and copy the traits from the bane wolf's cannon).

>autocannon
>sharpshooter
>5d10+8 pen 8 single shot fuck you gun

Where the fuck are you getting the extra 2d10 and extra 2 pen?

>Champion of the Imperium

An enemy declares a charge. The custodian spends his reaction to counter-charge, provided the ally is within 30m. This can drag him out of melee to save an ally (your first case), as well as charge an enemy that already charged him, also dragging him out of melee (second case). In each case, he'll get bonked for not Disengaging. He also has only one reaction to do this - Step Aside and Wall of Steel are Dodge/Parry only, and can't trigger CotE.

First glance, I'd make Provenances a Regiment Creation (Home World / Origin) option.

Survivors of the Dark Age would have a staggered cost. Let's say, 3 base, 5 full option (these are example costs)

3 points: Armor granting 6 points of armor or lower gains an additional 2 points of armor. Does not affect armor granting armor of 7+.

5 points: Armor granting 6 points of armor or lower gains an additional 2 points of armor. Does not affect armor granting armor of 7+. Laspistols, Lascarbines, Lasguns, Laslocks, and Rotor Cannons increase damage by 4.

+2 armor is equivalent to +1 save on tabletop, and +4 damage is a good approximate of S3 to S4 increase on tabletop.

Sharpshooter
Pinpoint Guidance
Spotter
Fucked up with 2 pen, forgot the exact stats

scratch that i lied i'd probably make it a training / doctrine

>In each case, he'll get bonked for not Disengaging.
Makes sense, that cleares it up
>Step Aside and Wall of Steel are Dodge/Parry only, and can't trigger CotE
As in they can't use the extra reaction from WoS and SA to dodge/parry the attack of opportunity?

Well, fair enough then. At that point though you might as well be using a lascannon since it has to be single shot anyways. The ability you are looking for is versatile shooter, not sharpshooter, by the way.

There's a thought, have you ever done stats for some of the xenos races encountered in the GC alone, such as the Megarachnids (pic related) or, I'unno, those mud-dwelling worm creatures that can shoot lightning that Kharn tells Angron when they first meet?

Attached: 11250668656_a62933f09c_z.jpg (574x640, 225K)

Well yeah, you have to slam another perk onto it.
>At that point though you might as well be using a lascannon
Sometimes the ability to fire 3 shots in a semi-burst can come in handy.

As in the step aside / wall of steel talent says you can only use the extra reaction for dodge / parry. You can't use them for other purposes like triggering. It's a matter of contention anyway - Reactions can ONLY be used when it's not your turn (dw p236). So when you're moving and provoking an attack of opportunity, you can't dodge/parry it because it's occurring on your turn. Similar for counter-attack - if you counter attack an enemy, the enemy can't dodge / parry because the attack is happening on their turn. It's a really ingenious way of opening weakpoints into enemies (and players). You can still use a defensive field though.

No, I haven't.

Attached: Punch a nigga's clothes off.gif (400x225, 1.53M)

Puritans and radicals are the retarded minority though.

Wouldn't counter-charging as a reaction count as not your turn? You can't do that on your turn, because it's the enemy who has to move, and it happens on his turn. It's kinda wierd because it's like you cannot dodge as a reaction because it would be you doing the dodging at this very moment and so it would be your turn at this moment. What the fuck am I even saying at this point jesus.

>Wouldn't counter-charging as a reaction count as not your turn?

Correct. Let's say it's the enemy's turn. He declares his full round action as a charge. The Custodian uses his reaction (it's not his turn, after all) to trigger CotE, he charges to where the enemy is before the enemy's attack resolves, and most likely fucks up the enemy (who cannot dodge because it's still his turn). If the enemy is still alive somehow, the enemy's charge action then resolves as normal.

I gave Custodians a lot of reaction-based attacks, because while a normal duder is just thinking of dodging out of the way, the Custodian is already striking back fast, in a way the enemy can't predict or react to.

Attached: Yusuf Charge the Infidel.jpg (585x883, 204K)

Makes sense kinda. Would help if I wasn't shitfaced right now.

>No, I haven't.
Have you ever considered doing something like that?

This is all purely hypothetical, just so you know, I'm not trying to obliquely suggest that this is what you should be doing next. Perish the thought.

Attached: dark-eldar-haemonculus-.jpg (1920x1280, 337K)

Why is the homunculus doing the pistol hands?

You know, I was so focused on statting the items themselves that it never occurred to me that I could just use Only War's regiment rules to modify the standard-issue gear of the whole party like that.

I thank you, sir. That was incredibly helpful.

>if you counter attack an enemy, the enemy can't dodge / parry because the attack is happening on their turn

holy shit are you serious? I never knew that.

This is why every pvp in Black Crusade and Deathwatch with melee characters turns into a tutrtle/feint-fest

Radicals are very minor indeed but Puritans are quite common actually the common progression when an inquisitor begin is Puritan to normal to radical to extreme cases radical renegades. Although senior Puritans are rare the closer to Xenos, wars and chaos presence the higher the rates of Puritans and extremists radicals.

Apart from that flavours are always nice in the game. Maybe they find a Puritan inquisitor and have to lie to his face and hide stuff or maybe get him excited on killing Xenos or maybe it's a radical and wants in on their deal or help investigating some lead into a artefact.

They are more common not rarer*

What's a good prize to put in a void coffer found in a planetary governors palace. My rogue trader group will either obsess over it or forget it until it bites them in the ass. I was thinking of either some xenotech which gets them into trouble or a partial STC

My acolyte wants to fuck her inquisitor. How should i go about it?

Why would a planetary governor keep a chunk of an STC around as a trophy? It's just a chunk of hardware that's only valuable to the Admech, and they'd probably be very upset if they saw some fleshling polishing it in his trophy cabinet one morning.

Be like if you put your new graphics card in a glass case for people to look at or something.

With protection, after a pleasant night on the town and the purchase of dinner and sugary confections.

HAH! Fair enough.

Attached: 735.gif (290x189, 2.9M)

Will there be stats for the Telemon, or is that too snowflakey?

Rites of Battle updated the Solo/Squad Mode rules so that you could use Solo Mode abilities in Squad Mode (pic related), so it doesn't seem too bad?

Attached: because all the useful stuff never shows up in core, does it?.png (643x521, 373K)

Telemon, Galatus, Achillus, Exemplar

What sort of scenarios do you see people as being able to actually play those sorts of Dreadnoughts in?

Like, barring a very understanding/apathetic GM who lets you get away with murder, how would you manage to actually get to play one of those in the course of any normal (inasmuch as something with Custodians in could be called normal) game?

Attached: 99020187293_TelemonDreadBundle01.jpg (920x950, 122K)

Any time a normal dread would be used. When one of my players got dread'd, not much changed other than he was large and metal. In fact, getting dread'd was a downgrade for him because it disabled a bunch of jump pack talents. Overall, probably in a situation that requires a heavy full frontal assault. One Telemon, and a bunch of dudes in an Orion, for instance. RoB even says "if one of your players gets dread'd and it gets disruptive, make them make a new guy but bring out the dread for big fights."

Fair enough, I s'pose, but what sort of things are gonna be hard enough that the super-dread won't just walk all over it?

This goes back to what I was talking about earlier, statting Crusade-era beasties. One thing that occurred to me when I was mentally reviewing all the stuff that the legions and that had access to was 'what the shit were they having to fight that they needed all this stuff'?

Attached: laer_and_emperor_s_child_.png (1431x1349, 2.22M)

Wasnt there a bit of writefaggotry about a commissar teaching sex-ed? I remember it from a long time ago.

fpgh

>sugary confections
... Read that as surgery connections first.

Large scale combat? Just like in Deathwatch.

Reminder that the Emperor built fucking psy-titans to battle some fucked up shit. Imagine the scale of shit they had to deal with, that would make using psy-titans "ok".

What are the rules in the RPG for Pariah/Blanks characters?

1e or 2e?

both

In 1e it's a -10 to all focus power tests with 1MxWPB distance and immunity to psychich powers that affect him directly (if you throw a couch at the guy with your mind, he would still have to dodge).
In 2e there's an entire advance spec list, so check it out.

Sure, if we also praised GPUs like some evidence of a divine power. That's not a suitable comparison at all.

So fluff-wise it would be like in a novel or audio-book, with headaches, hostility and similar things turning his social life to crud.

You half his fellowship stat when dealing with anyone but psykers. When dealing with people with psy-rating, his fellowship stat is 1.

Is the inquisitor hot?

'cept my point was that the Governor most likely wouldn't be one of the Mechanicus, and so for him it wouldn't have any of the religious overtones.

Even for an Imperial, STCs still hold religious tones as almost sacred artifacts, yes. It's like if a Christian was able to get ahold of an item that was somehow confirmed to have been regularly used by Jesus Christ.

Other than that STC have immeasurable value, and the governor would certainly understand that too. For him to hold even just a piece of one is a status symbol, and a money bond/asset.

Reposting art from dead draw your party thread.

You're not alone, I used to make them pretty often.

Attached: chucklefucks.png (1200x500, 44K)

The psyker looks like he's a drunkard that seen some shit

That's honestly pretty accurate

Is the Crimson Guard the most broken starting career for a player in DH1e, excluding psyker?
